Looking for Puerto Rican food at a fair price? This is authentic and yummy. We had fricassee de pollo, tostones, and arroz con gandules mmmm If want to explore other unique Spanish food, Nashville has a variety!

So I've read the most recent reviews. Sadly, I agree. I paid $23 for shrimp mofongo , coco flan and cola champagne. Yes you heard me correctly. $23! But I was like whatever. I'm craving mofongo! OMG! The shrimp were diced and included minibaby shrimp. I as like WTHeck? The taste was ok. Now the flan... Burnt on the top as well as the caramelized sugar liquid on the bottom. Not tasty at all. Nothing like when I first visited. Needless to say I'm definitely not returning. Sad because there is nowhere to go in Nashville for Caribbean Latino food unless you cook it yourself. I'm very disappointed in this restaurant. This restaurant has fallen off the ladder of deliciousness.

Boricua Grill is the place to go to for the best authentic Puerto Rican food in the Nashville/Antioch area. You get an abundant amount of food at an affordable price. Along with the incredible food comes awesome salsa music and pleasant people to talk to in English, Spanish, or even Spanglish ;) If you ever want to experience the amazing Caribbean vibe of 'La Isla Del Encanto', Boricua Grill is the place to be!

Been in TN for about 7 months and this is the second Puerto Rican I've been to. Coming from NYC PR/DR food ain't nothing new to me. I ordered the pernil with yellow and gandules, and tostones . Shouldn't had gotten it since it was the weekday and it's something that takes a while to make but hey I got my order. They try to make the dish fancy with the plates. Rice on the left, pernil in the middle, and a little salad with 3 tostones...Really? Lol. Portion wasn't that great, food was a bit salty. No plans on going back anytime soon, two orders for $30. Not worth it.

I used to go to their location that was in the service station on Bell Road and the food was always good and the portions huge. I found out they moved and finally stopped in here and was very disappointed with all the dishes I ordered. Portions were small and yet the prices were as high or higher. The food just didn't taste as good as it did at the other location. It wasn't very quick. Friends that had not been to the other location say that I must have hit it on an off day so I might give it another try but I lost faith in them on this visit.

Had lunch with a friend. I had the pollo entricarre, he had grilled chicken breast. Both were delicious. We'll be back.

Overall, I had a good experience. I love Puerto Rican food and I was not disappointed. If you have never had relleno de papa, you definitely should try it here! It's a fried mashed potato ball with meat in the middle. I also had mofongo con chicharron and it was awesome! The service wasn't great and you do have to pay for water. So if service is something important to you, then you may want to take your food to go. But aside from that, I highly recommend it especially if you have never tried Puerto Rican food.

9/14/2014 Edit " If you like inconsistent and slow service, non attentive and an unfriendly waitress, meals coming out at different times, appetizers AFTER your meal, no refills on your soda, having to go to the counter for eating utensils and hair IN your food! Look no further........You will LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! Both times only two other people in there eating should have been a warning! Had dinner there twice now. First time the waitress was very unfriendly and not attentive to our table, there was only one other table with two people. She would go sit at a booth and get on her phone. My husband had to get up to ask for utensils and refills. We ordered appetizers that came out AFTER our meal. No apology or explanation. Just sat them on the table and walked away. Had to once again get up to ask for a to go box and our check. We thought maybe a bad night and a month later we decided to try it again. Wrong!! Once again we sat for TEN minutes before being addressed. There was only one other person in there that was already eating. Ordered appetizers and our meal. Once again the food came out at various times. My husbands meal first, next one of our appetizers, a few minutes later my meal. 15 minutes passed and our other appetizer came out. I ate a bite of my meal and the second bite contained a medium length piece of hair! Informed the waitress and she asked if I wanted the rest of the other food on my plate or something else? Really?!?! By this time I was frustrated and lost my appetite! Next the side of rice my husband ordered never came out! It sure was on the receipt! I'm a Puerto Rican from Chicago and now live in this area, I was so hoping to find an authentic PR Restaurant here. Very disappointed by the poor customer service twice and how unorganized it was. Unfortunately we will never return! When ordering...Request no hair with the meal! We did eat at another restaurant that had some of our favorites and experienced great customer service! Much better choices out there!!

Great little Caribbean grill. Just opened. I'd never had a mofongo before, but now I know that I really like them. Mashed plantains shaped into a bowl form, filled with shrimp, or whatever else you could want. It was great, and I'll be back. Wife had some kind of pot roast with rice and beans. Also great.
