This place is seriously AMAZING. You will most likely have to wait on a long line but it was so worth it and went pretty fast. I suggest one of the sandwiches with the fried chicken, it was the best chicken I have ever had. My husband got the nasty princess which was a mix between the 2 chicken sandwiches that was suggested by an employee and it was fantastic. Sweet tea was on point. We wished we had just gone back there the next morning instead of trying anywhere else. GO here!!!

What can I say. I love biscuit love so much that I bought a t-shirt. I had the egg plate and hubby hot chicken. The biscuits was the best I've ever had. Wanted to try the grits but it had cheese and I'm lactose intolerant. Other than that, still great place, I'd go back next time in town. :)

If you love biscuits (seriously, who doesn't?) this is the place for you. Don't go here if you're wanting to eat something healthy. I'm sure it exists on their menu but you won't be able to resist the biscuits. I had the Southern Benny. Biscuit with ham and eggs and sausage gravy. Cry-worthy good. My friend had the hot chicken/biscuit and it was amazing. Cute spot in the gulch. Friendly service. Awesome food. I'll be going back.

So one morning around 6:30am my boyfriend asked me to marry him. It was a funny time to get engaged, given he had just got off from work and I needed to leave soon for an all-day sales conference. Sometimes life throws you an opportunity and you just have to take it. I wonder if that is how the owners of the Biscuit Love truck felt when their food truck blew up to be a popular mainstay in Nashville's flareup of on-wheels dining. Biscuit Love was always my favorite and I have enjoyed it many times at both the East Nashville and 12S farmer's markets. So when my sweetie put a ring on my finger, I thought of BL's new location and we set forth for a charming, delicious breakfast. The back patio in the morning was divine. The menu is quite a bit elevated from the food truck version and we enjoyed. My only regret was that I ordered my favorite thing, the hot-chicken, and it was just way too much spice for 7:30am. It was tasty but then there was the all-day sales conference... We have tried to go back twice, but they were on the weekend and the line was around the corner. I believe in this place and hope to be back on another weekday to enjoy the memory and some tasty eats.

Holy cow wow! My hubby and I took a chance on this place (google maps explore search) during a weekend getaway and we were amazed! At 11-12 there was a considerable line, but it moved pretty quickly! Don't let the line deter you because the food is amazing!! They say sausage gravy, it is sausage with some gravy, not gravy with a smidge of sausage. Fresh squeezed OJ that was great! But the star....oh the star of the morning was the "bonuts". I could eat these daily and never tire. Stunning. Delightful. Deliciousness. Only drawback to this place is the cost. BUT, you want this kind of quality, you pay for it! Everyone around us (we talk to strangers at nearby tables) were pleased with their meals. Lots of first timers who were amazed, one regular who said they came every weekend. You want quality breakfast... this is your hookup!

Fabulous brunch location in the Gulch area. I am a big fan of the Princess breakfast option, which I had the pleasure of sampling during a late lunch. The buttery, honey-sponged biscuit lovingly caressed the perfectly crusted juicy hot chicken, topped with just the right sprinkling of house pickles. It was Southern comfort epitomized in brunch form. My only complaint would be that the portion is a bit small for its more generous pricing. Next time, I'll definitely indulge in the sweet tea and perhaps the desserts ladled with blueberry compote... Despite a line around the counter inside, we managed to get a 4 person table relatively easily within a 20 minute wait period. The interior is rustic with a sleek twist, accompanied by an antiqued lit "Nashville" sign posted adjacent to the bar. Service approaches lightning speed, with waiters coming to your table in a matter of 2-3 minutes. As a tip for those of you who feel a bit indecisive: you can add to your order once you're seated. This proves rewarding for those of us who are not the happiest with humble portions, or who just want a second eye-opening experience with a brunch item. I recommend getting here either earlier than lunch hour or a bit after to avoid the midday rush. Happy eating!

I have been looking for a reason to brave Downtown and visit Biscuit Love for a while. This morning I saw the Bon appétit magazine announcement and decided that was a very good reason to take my hide down there. I had heard others rave about their food and I was excited to try it for myself. We started with the Bonuts... Which were by far the best part of the meal. Nice Lemon mascarpone cheese cream on top of sugar fried biscuits, served in a bed of blueberries that had been cooked to perfection. The berries and the mascarpone were delicious, the biscuits were just ok. They were fluffy and fried perfectly but lacked flavor. Their accompaniments did all the hard work. For my entrée I ordered was the Wash something (I was so under- impressed I don't recalled the full name). It's basically a burger with pimento cheese and bacon jam on a biscuit. The bacon jam wasn't horrible, nice smoky flavor, nice texture. The pimento cheese was a bit spicy and melted nicely, I liked this probably the best of the components, and the burger was a bit overdone but very flavorful. Then comes the biscuit. I don't even want to call it that. As a Southerner I LOVE biscuits and I use the same technique my Mammie taught me, which her Mammie taught her. Biscuits are more than food to me, they are my heritage and a great symbol of the South. These could hardly be considered biscuits... First thought: wow, dense. There was little to no rise. Could have been the weather, it's pretty muggy out and dough doesn't play nice with excess moisture. I tasted 4 bites to make sure I wasn't being too critical. Nope, dry. Mostly flavorless. Dense in "over worked just a bit" kind of way. The only flavor I tasted at all was sugary sweet. For a place that has "Biscuit" in the name, this is a travesty. Last issue: $3 for one biscuit (theirs anyway) is a rip off. Biscuits cost pennies to make. So disappointed in the food, the price, and in Nashville for not knowing bad "Southern food" when it bites them in the butt. Just to clarify, I'd GLADLY pay $3 or more for a truly good biscuit. This just isn't the place.

Love. The greatest thing man has known....... That is of course until the bonut! Came to Biscuit Love very early on a Friday morning to try some delicious breakfast down in the Gulch. Biscuit Love apparently has one of the best sandwiches in the country, but with so much food to eat in The city, I could only get one thing. This I got their bonuts! And I'm glad I did. A cross between a beignet and a donut, it's the perfect breakfast treat. Imagine munchkins but three times as good, and in this case five times as bad for you. The amount of sugar put into these bad boys is heavy. I guess there's some love too. They come with a perfect spread of jam as well. A basic order is five. I loved them so much, but I could only eat four. Maybe I was too stuffed, or maybe I loved them too much to eat them all. I think you'll love this spot.

Delicious. We were in from St. Louis and this place was awesome. The portions are large and the menu is overwhelming: because everything looks amazing. The Bonuts are a must! Extremely friendly staff as well! Get there early, it gets busy on a Saturday morning. We had the Lily (biscuit French toast) and the Princess (spicy chicken, biscuit, honey, pickle and DELICIOUS!) Thanks!! We'll be back!

A very solid and unique brunch experience in Nashville. I went there on a Saturday late morning (11:30) in a hot and sunny day. The long was not too long, but it took 35 minutes to get inside, and probably 10 min wait inside. It was sooo hot that I almost lost my appetite but I also wanted to try their amazing food. Service: it's self service but like most other places, they make you tip when signing the receipt on their monitors. The manager was checking in with random tables to make sure everything is fine. Food: the most fantastic part of the day that made the whole wait time worth. I tried the princess biscuit which is Nashville style hot fried chicken with pickles, mustard, and honey. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried, very tender and juicy. The biscuit was very well done, just right. Since I'm a crazy foodie, I wanted to try all the top items on the menu, so I also got an order of Bonuts. These dangerously delicious pieces of love were my favorite things. They are basically fried biscuits rolled in and filled with a bit if mascarpone cheese. There are served over a bed of blueberry compote but I asked them to come on the side (so I can take out the leftover). The only complain is too much sugar on the donuts that makes them too sweet and also makes a mess when you are eating them (ask for extra napkins). This place can be easily 5 star but the wait and non forgiving sun made it a bit less than perfect. I suggest the management to install some shades outside the restaurant for customer's convenience. I'll definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville.

I enjoyed my brunch at Biscuit Love, but I probably won't return. The wait to get in the door was about 20 minutes (although the line looked much longer!), with another 10 minute wait to place an order, and another 15 to get food. Altogether, it really wasn't a long wait, but it was also fairly uncomfortable in the August heat. My husband and I split the Bonuts, which were tasty but not as amazing as some other yelp reviews suggest. I had the Princess. The chicken was not as spicy as I would have liked-- a Chik Fil A spicy chicken biscuit packs more heat! The pickles on it were very good. I would order something else next time. My husband had the Benny, their version of an Eggs Benedict. He enjoyed it, but the bite I had was incredibly salty. I mean, the sausage gravy and ham probably had nothing to do with that. Another thing to note was that the service was a little weird. If you need anything, you just have to flag down a food deliverer, who looked like they were all a little frazzled. The novelty of the place is definitely worth trying, but the food quality, to me, did not make up for the wait. My husband summed it up best-- "people not from the South would love this place!"

I really enjoyed my time here and I'm glad we made it just before the line outside! The decor and atmosphere are great, as well as the service. The staff is friendly and very quick in getting your food. We had the "nasty" and it was delicious. If you drizzle some of their syrup it will taste even better! We also got the SEC and while it was very good, I felt it was a bit dry. I drizzle some of their syrup (seriously, what's in it because it is bomb!) and ate the whole thing! You can't leave without trying the Bonuts! Seriously, very good! The latte was very good and their juices are fresh. I recommend anyone visiting the area to stop by.

Yum! The secret is out, this place is hoppin'! Our first attempt was on a Saturday morning- nope, not waiting in line outside in the Tennessee summer heat for that long for breakfast. Luckily, we were able to come back on Monday when it's not as crazy. Side note- is it me or does Nashville has a severe shortage of good spots for breakfast? The few good spots are always insanely busy. I've learned to control my coffee rage as a result. Anyway, we were extremely happy we came back and gave this place a try. I decided to split the bronuts (biscuit donuts with mascarpone and preserves) and the Southern Benny with my sister, since we both really wanted both dishes. This was the perfect amount of food for us, as the Southern Benny was a pretty heavy dish. The bronuts were lighter than I was expecting, and the mascarpone and preserves complimented them nicely. The Southern Benny had the best sausage gravy. So tasty! I also had a bite of my friend's Vegetarian Grits (kale, tomatoes, eggs on a bed of grits)- very nice! My iced coffee was not my favorite, next time I will hit up one of the many awesome spots around town for my java fix, but overall everything else made for a great meal. I highly suggest coming on a weekday morning or getting there SUPER early on the weekend to secure a spot in line that doesn't leave you with heat stroke.

As the name implies, these people love biscuits. Everything on the menu revolves around that southern staple. This was my first time dining here- Wednesday mid-morning. There was no line or shortage of tables. They do have a nice outdoor seating area too which is great for the warmer months. The food was good. My wife and I shared the Bonuts (legit) and I got the East Nasty which was decent. The fried chicken on the East Nasty was incredible. I'd eat it by itself any day. Portion wise I could've used more gravy on the chicken. There was hardly enough to cover it. Now the Bonuts are worth coming back for. Super moist and incredibly tasty. The combo of blueberries and lemon is perfect. They come 5 to a plate which means you have to arm wrestle over the last one... The drip coffee there is on point too. The wait staff even offered to give me a cup to go when I told them how good it was. Biscuit Love is worth checking out, but I don't know if I'd wait more than 30 min.

Took an uber here right from the airport when we landed in TN after doing yelp research, and it was fab! We had to get the bonuts after reading all of the reviews and they were awesome. We probably didn't need 5 for 2 people, but we managed to eat them all anyway. When they came out at first glance I thought they'd be heavy, but they were actually fluffy and not too sweet. We really enjoyed them and loved dipping in the blueberry sauce. We also ordered two iced coffees (great!), a princess sandwich, and the Lindstrom. It was the perfect lunch. The princess was the first hot chicken sandwich that I've ever had. The chicken was fried crispy and moist and it sure was hot, but not too hot. I don't usually like spicy food and I loved it. I guess a few more pickles or something cool couldn't have hurt, but again, it was great. The Lindstrom was awesome! The brussel sprouts were finely chopped and I think there was a ton of parm cheese in there. Then with two poached eggs on top, how could you go wrong? Afterwards, we walked from there with our luggage up the large flight of stairs to the park with the music stars on the ground. It was a nice walk after eating all of that food but was definitely manageable and took about 10 minutes.

I was so amped about trying this place especially since we were hungover and I love biscuits. I may have ordered the wrong thing as my husband loved his and mine was sub par. The line of course was out the door but didn't take long to get inside. Don't let it fool you, stick it out, it's short. I ordered the egg plate because it came with the biscuit and grits. The biscuit was nothing like the biscuit my husband got with the "nasty". Totally different texture and flavor composition, odd. His was way better. Mine was flat and not much taste. Kind of reminded me of a grands. Sad. But his was fluffy and airy and YUM. Again, weird that they weren't the same. I'd give it another try not opt for what's on these reviews... The things they are known for, not the egg plate with a biscuit. Fail.

Get there early. My group arrived at about 9:15 on a Sunday. We had to wait in line for about 10-15 mins but when we finished our meal, there was a lonnnng line out the door. Highly recommend beating the hungover weekend crowd and just coming early. This is a cute brunch spot in the Gulch. As you can tell by their name, biscuit-based dishes are their specialty. I ordered the S.E.C., a side of bacon, and a cappuccino. Really loved my breakfast and the other girls I was with enjoyed theirs too. I can't remember exactly what they ordered but one was on the sweeter side and the other was smothered in gravy....yuuuuum. My only complaint is that the servers seem to be a little disorganized. We spent a decent amount of time trying to flag down a server to order a drink. I'm not sure if they have servers designated for specific sections of the restaurant or if they just pick up random plates/cups whenever they see them at tables. Meh, whatever, the food is good and the coffee is hot!

Waited about 30 min in line for Sunday brunch and found a table pretty easily to seat 4 people. Had the East Nasty as my first order with an egg on top. I'm not from the South and had been looking forward to a classic fried chicken experience and I definitely found it here. I was so hungry, I opted for the Nasty Princess, a hidden menu item to basically make the East Nasty spicy. 10/10 would eat again, loved this place and reasonable price as well. The Gulch location is a beautiful one, too.

Oh. My. God. Open Face biscuit with peanut butter, caramelized banana and chocolate gravy. I really shouldn't have to say any more but Yelp makes you post a certain amount of words to complete your review, so I guess I have to. This is a really cute set-up. You order at the counter, pay, take a number, find a seat and they bring your food to you. When we got there, there was a line out the door, but it moved really quickly and once we sat down, we got our food within ten minutes. Besides the delicious biscuit I mentioned above, they have a ton of different biscuit options, savory to sweet including biscuit french toast that my son and husband ordered. Well worth the stop and the four pounds I put on over vacation.

Super friendly service, great food. Would absolutely return for a brunch meal, in spite of the wait. A friend and I stopped by for brunch around 10, and there was still about a 30 minute wait. We waited about 10 minutes, at which point we were kindly tipped off that seats at the bar area had opened up, where we were able to dine right away if we didn't mind not sitting at a table. We gladly took up that offer, whereupon we ordered the bonuts and the Princess entree to split, along with a side of sausage gravy. The bonuts were absolutely delightful, the biscuit, slightly savory flavor complementing the marscapone inside, while the Princess had very flavorful and tender chicken, topped off with a little mustard that gave it a different kind of kick. The meal was very reasonably priced, and the service throughout was great. I'd definitely come back here and try other dishes.

Do not fear the line! I promise, it goes fast. We were a little worried the first time when the line extended far beyond the door at 9am on a Saturday (after a 10k race, so we were really hungry). It was worth the wait. When you make it inside to order at the counter, your food and drive arrives in less than 5 minutes, so the wait is just like what you'd wait at your table after ordering. I got the Bloody Mary and the Princess, a hot chicken biscuit. I also ordered the bonuts for the table. I generally prefer to drink my entire Bloody Mary before I eat, but mine arrived the same time as the food so this wasn't an option. It was god though, and spicy. Noted for next time: I will probably order the mimosa. The hot chicken biscuit was great! I ordered it with a side of pimento cheese (DO IT!) and the honey and mustard on the side. I wish they had some homemade ranch for the chicken (because hot chicken without ranch?!) but the pimento and mustard did the trick. This is not your standard Nashville hot chicken, by the way. It was a little greasy, and not too hot, but not mild. It was more like the breading on fried fish. Good none the less, but again, not standard Nashville hot chicken. The bonuts are just as good as they look. The lemon cream is subtle and perfect with the blueberries. We had a hard time finishing them because our other food had generous portions. Good stuff. It was also recently named to Bon Appétit magazine's 50 best new restaurants in 50 states. So there's that too.

OMG Biscuits are loved here and delicious!! Try anything and it's super yummy!! If there's a wait go to the bar and see if. You can be squeezed in there. Fresh orange juice and delicious flavorful breakfast and lunch items. So worth it! My favorite thing was the biscuit doughnuts "boughnuts" with lemon creme appetizer. Everything is made on site and it shows!

Unlike Sara Bareilles, I am going to write you a love song, Biscuit Love. From your air conditioning to your friendly staff, your fresh squeezed orange juice and thick slab bacon, you're everything a first meal in Nashville should be. When the manager of your restaurant stopped by to ask how the egg plate was, all I could mumble through my cheese grits was "I'm very happy right now." The biscuit alone is worth a paragraph. It's crumbly and layered, buttery and rich, with an excellent texture for slathering on homemade jam or, let's be honest - more butter. I've had some great biscuits in my day, and this one is extraordinary. Your Yelp acclaim is well deserved! Keep being delicious.

I have to say....YASSSS! I was driving through Nashville and it was breakfast time. Soooo, I asked the yelp Genie and sure enough she did not disappoint. It took me 20 minutes to decide because I wanted to try everything. Ultimately, I picked their version of an eggs benedict, I believe called Benny. It was slamming good. Two eggs perfectly fried to over-medium over thinly sliced country ham over sausage gravy over a huge and respectable biscuit. I was at first hesitant to order this because of calories, but then once I tried it all I could think about is ordering some Sans-a-belt slacks to accommodate my love for this place. Good thing I don't live here, because this could be a serious love affair. p.s. the space is beautiful, the service was friendly, and the coffee was pretty good. p.p.s. at first I thought the price was a bit much, but once I tasted it and its quality, I was fine with it.

Nashville has some of the nicest people I have ever met! Anyway, Biscuit Love's staff is super friendly and chipper. There wasn't a major line even though it was the week of CMA's. You order at the front and they bring it to your table. This place is full of carbs- so get ready to make your belly happy. I ordered the shrimp and grits , and my friend ordered the the Lily and the C&S? Everything came out fairly quick. I also got a bloody mary and it was EXXTRA SPICY. SOOOoo good/ Def would recommend this place for brunch!!

If you want a GREAT breakfast, this is it! Be prepared to wait in line, unless you do a weekday, then it's not as bad. Their menu is extensive and the coffee is great too. I find that rare, it's not unusual to have mediocre coffee at breakfast restaurants and I don't understand that! Super friendly and some unique combinations of biscuits. We ate out on the back porch and it was quiet. Our server continued to check on us, a great surprise. This is one of my favorites downtown, I highly suggest you make this a stop for any time of day!

  • Jam D.

The line is crazy on Saturday and Sunday mornings for brunch, but it is definitely worth the wait. I got the egg plate, which was fantastic. The bacon was super crisp, the biscuit was warm and flaky, and the jam was out of this world. Definitely get there early. You pay at the counter, and the servers will bring out your food.

With all the hype on this place, I was expecting amazing. I don't know, it didn't blow me away. We had to wait in line for awhile (not a big deal) and got to sit outside on the back patio.. which is great! The staff was nice enough. The food was where it didn't work for me. I had the egg plate and maybe I was starved this day, but I was still hungry after I ate it. The biscuits were alright and the grits were not flavorful. Maybe I've been spoiled because Biscuit Head in Asheville is amazing and I was comparing it to that. The mimosas are good, but $9, which seems steep for an informal place like this.

Items Selected: Bonuts - Fried Biscuit Dough, Lemon Mascarpone, Blueberry Compote East Nasty - Biscuit, Fried Chicken Thigh, Aged Cheddar, Sausage Gravy Gertie - Biscuit, Chocolate Gravy, Peanut Butter, Caramelized Banana Jam, Pretzel Crunch Lily - Biscuit French Toast, Lemon Mascarpone, Blueberry Compote, House Syrup Cheese Grits Hoping to literally "save the best for last" by visiting Biscuit Love Brunch as our last breakfast in Music City it was just after 7:30am that parking was allocated in front of the space on Saturday, and although the crowd would soon grow to near capacity it was to a line of only two persons that I stepped up after quickly perusing the menu - a trio of 'biscuits,' one side, and the restaurant's signature item arriving hot from the kitchen after a mere ten minute wait. Considered by some to trend a bit too hip to be taken seriously while fans suggest that Biscuit Love may serve the best buttermilk rounds in the Volunteer State suffice it to say that anything the risen golden circles may lack is more than made up for in creativity as a menu of cleverly named concoctions meet with well sourced and housemade accoutrements, any thoughts of items being overwrought proven mere myths as a surprising degree of dexterity is found amidst even the most decadently topped bites. Able to sample a taste of plain biscuit by way of the open-faced presentation of East Nasty, the base of all that Biscuit Love has accomplished is certainly a bit different than the more hefty iterations offered at Loveless, Puckett's, or even Barista Parlor yet taking into account the golden shell atop wispy crumb the batter makes sense when utilized as diversely as the kitchen opts, both the Chicken and Cheddar iteration with Sausage Gravy as well as the version topped more sweetly in chocolate and jam proving absolutely delicious without being the belly bomb that their descriptions may cause one to fear. Moving next to more novel uses of the dough alongside a small bowl of grits rich with sticky, aged cheese, Lily was the sort of dish that played strongly to my predilections and with the aforementioned lightness of crumb more than happy to soak up custard the steamy French Toast was very well complimented with vibrant lemon and bursting blueberries cooked down in syrup, the same citrus mascarpone packing the cavity of fried biscuit bites entitled 'bonuts' that seemed omnipresent at tables throughout the dining room, the lightness of each almost defying logic and proving the sort of thing you may want more than one order of as sharing may induce a later sense of regret.

Bon Appetite Magazine named the "East Nasty" the 2015 Sandwich of the Year... With that being in my own backyard, I had to go try it. Biscuit Love started from a popular food truck... We went on a Friday at 11:15am, the line went out the door but was pretty quick. You order and then they bring your food to the table. Our table shared some of the Bonuts (biscuit donuts) and chronic bacon (peppered and candied bacon) excellent stuff! Then came the East Nasty...a fried chicken thigh, sausage gravy and aged cheddar on a biscuit...it's a fork and knife sandwich at the start, then you can get a little messy, and eat with your hands... Amazing flavor combinations on this sandwich! It's definitely worth a try and I'll be back to try other sandwiches that sound amazing!

Karl and Sarah Worley have taken their biscuits (and more) to a brick-and-mortar Biscuit Love restaurant in the Gulch (next to Bar Louie) with a line out the door! It opened last fall, but it took me that long to get up to Nashville (vs. rolling out of bed to the Farmer's Market down the street) to brave the lines to give the place a try. Like any Nashville hot spot, there's a line. We expected as much on Sunday morning, especially given it was CMA Fest weekend! We arrived around 10am I believe, and we were a little nervous about the number of people ahead of us. We were able to browse menus while we waited, as you stay in line as you move inside (and order at the counter) before receiving a number and being loosely directed towards available tables. I feel like we didn't have to wait long at all, because a lot of the groups were large and being a party of three we were ushered forward as tables opened up. The bar is first-come, first-served I believe, but be sure to ask a hostess/server checking on the line! Once we'd ordered, we were served quite quickly! Anna had a Bloody Mary and Dan had a craft beer. I needed caffeine so I had a delicious Arnold Palmer. Anna treated us to my favorite part of the meal... BONUTS. Fried biscuit dough (AMAZING) with sugar, lemon mascarpone, and blueberry compote. I seriously think that when I come back, I will make this my main meal, so I can have them all for myself. My. new. favorite. thing. I had a lot of trouble making up my mind for my main dish, because the menu at the restaurant is much more extensive than the truck's used to be. I decided that for my first visit, I needed to go with my old truck standby, the SEC: biscuit, smoked sausage, egg, and aged cheddar. I had the egg scrambled because I was in the midst of sensory overload when I ordered; I usually prefer the egg fried. But it was delicious nonetheless! Even better than the truck days, honestly... although I wonder if it's because I was eating it in air conditioning at a table with real silverware vs. plastic fork at the market. I also ordered sides of the "chronic" bacon which was sticky and sweet, and the potatoes. The potatoes I wish were a bit crispier, but the bacon was fab. Bacon purists might prefer the normal bacon, but I love a little sweetness with the salt. You guys, do yourself a favor and hit up Biscuit Love... I'm so glad I could take my friend Anna (and Dan, too!) to brunch there, and to meet Karl. I'm so happy for the Worleys and this new adventure, and hoping they put another location in Franklin someday!

Long line, but a great meal once you finally get seated. Came here for Saturday brunch around 10am and waited about 25 minutes in line to get inside the restaurant. While we were outside, a hostess came by and gave us menus so we could decide what we wanted as we were waiting. Once in, my husband and I made a beeline for the bar, which a sign stated was full service and first come first serve, as opposed to continuing to wait in line to order and the register. We quickly found seats at the bar and ordered hot tea, bonuts, the SEC, and the Nasty. We loved everything we ate, especially the Bonuts, which had been recommended by other reviewers on yelp. Food was fantastic and such a cute, laidback environment. Food came out so quickly and was piping hot. It really was an excellent breakfast, other than the line. Definitely check this place out, but give yourself some time to wait!

This is just a run-of-the-mill hipster brunch place with one exception: BONUTS. The food here is good, so it's worth ordering and enjoying but the BONUTS are what set this place apart from other, similar brunch joints. The line outside on a weekend can be incredibly daunting, but have no fear: it moves quicker than you think so you only end up waiting 20-30 minutes instead of over an hour (which is what I expected). I have NO idea how the staff logistically run a place like this since there's always a line and always people eating, but there's some magic that they've discovered that allows for tables to miraculously come available when you're leaving the pay station to sit down. Order the bonuts. In fact, get two orders just because you can. Since they are donuts that use biscuit dough instead of sweet pastry dough, they are more amazing than any donut hole that has ever existed. The marscapone cheese in the middle is a bit warm, a little melty, and super delicious as a compliment to that biscuit dough. GET THEM. Other than the bonuts, the food was good and priced accurately for a place with this kind of cache. Since you order and pay ahead of sitting and being served, if you've ordered an alcoholic beverage there's a 95% chance you can't get another one since there aren't really servers around to take orders - they are basically all busers, moving stuff around from the kitchen and back. Keep that in mind if you plan on having more than one Bloody or Mimosa. There's parking on the street and in a lot across the way but it's all pay so prepare yourself. There's a couple of other bars/restaurants nearby in case the wait becomes to much for you to bear. I'll come back here with my family, for sure, just for those bonuts.

YUM! This place is great as everyone has said. Definitely be aware of a line of at least 20-30min but it surely does go by fast and is located in a great location. Also, quick service! I got the Nasty Princess which is fantastic. It is the combination of the two top chicken dishes (east nasty and Princess) and so the nasty princess is the east nasty but with the hot chicken of the princess. Note this because it's NOT explicitly stated on the menu - I found out because I love hot food but wanted the gravy and sausage still. The food itself is delicious. I am giving it 4 stars because the portions don't seem that generous - I think it is enough for an avg sized girl like me to be content to full but not overwhelmingly satisfied. I also saw that someone who ordered the same thing at my table got almost double the chicken. If you are going to order sides, the potatoes are also smaller portioned than you would probably like.

Decent breakfast. My girlfriend and I sat on the back porch. My meal was okay, she liked hers a lot more than I liked mine. There were 3-4 waiters/waitresses in the area but once our food was set down we were completely ignored. I had to walk up to the ordering station across the whole restaurant to get a refill of water.

Chicken buiscuit- 5 stars Bonuts- 4.5 stars (just wish the cream dollop topping extended to the insides of the bonut)

A cool brunch spot in Nashville. Location is right in the heart of the Gulch and the spot has great energy. For that, I would give 5 stars. We got in around 9, and while we had a slight wait in line, the line was practically around the corner by 10. Food was good. Nothing to really gush over, unfortunately. I had high expectations from Yelp. I had the bonuts. They were just ok for my liking. I would probably get something more savory next time. The rest of our party thought their food was just ok, too. Portions are average. One part of the meal that I loved was the orange juice. Order the OJ! That stuff tasted like biting right into an orange. It definitely left the orange not too long before me drinking it. Customer service was good, but keep in mind you do not get refills of drinks. A waitress did bring a to-go box to our table, but that's as far as we got for table service. Bottom line: I would still come back to try it out again (and get more OJ), but maybe not worth a long line.

I'm still thinking about the Princess. The hot chicken was so good. I like their business set-up. People don't linger at the tables, so If you're looking for a leisurely brunch, maybe not the place for you. If you are looking for amazing food at good prices, go here. The biscuits are perfection. Have I mentioned the hot chicken. I'm back and Indianapolis and almost sad about it because I can't have this for every meal. Looking up recipes to try to make something similar at home ASAP. We got the little donuts things for the table. Bronuts? I'm not sure if that's what they were called, but they were a good little dessert. Southern love portions, so you're not going to go hungry. Ugh. I need some more of that chicken right now. My life will never be the same.

I would never pay $12+ for a biscuit. My biscuits are better anyway. It's good food though but Gulch prices take away the fun of the concept.

It's good but calm down Nashville, you shouldn't be waiting in a line at 8am on Saturday morning for this stuff. It's good southern brunch fare but nothing very original on the menu. I live in the same building as it so I've dropped in for just grabbing a coffee, grabbing a to-go, or dining in. Good food, the staff works to death, and you'll leave fat and full. If you don't want to wait in line, just go in and sit at the bar, it is full service and generally has a spot for at least two.

They had me at the word biscuit and while I didn't venture for some of the more creative menu items I later regretted, I still enjoyed enough of my breakfast to know this is a definite return on my next Nashville trip. The biscuit is delish, the service is super friendly and the place is cute....all factors that add up to an all-around success of my experience. Get ready bronuts....cause i'm trying you NEXXXXXT!!!!

This place wasn't even on our list of places to try while in Nashville but we were in the neighborhood and quite hungry. Ordered the princess hot chicken on a biscuit and a side order of eggs sunny side up. It was a little over $20 and well worth it. Our meals came out within ten minutes and those sandwiches were some of the best I've ever had. I've never tried hot chicken, which seems to be a Nashville thing, but I do love me some spicy food. This was really spicy, yikes! But I couldn't get enough of the flavors, especially paired with the delicious pickles. We stuffed our eggs on top of the chicken and it was ridiculous is a beautiful way. Yes it was a mess and we probably looked like two piglets at a barn but we didn't care. Mannnn wish we had been in Nashville longer to order more of this. So pleased. Definitely recommend. Also, those ball donuts of theirs looked so dang tasty. Too bad we didn't get to try them.

This has to be the best breakfast I've ever had. The bonuts are to die for. It's worth every effort to get there just to eat those. I had the East Nasty. Every component of that meal was incredible individually, but to eat them together was heaven! My friend had the Vegetarian Grits and said that the tomato "gravy" made it the best grits she's had. Oh, and the chronic bacon...just try it. Trust me on that one! This is definitely a place I want to return to when I visit Nashville again. I will recommend this to everyone that I know who visits Nashville. I'm sure this place will be featured on Food Network if it hasn't been already. One last thing, the owner, Carl, sweet guy with such an amazing talent. So glad I had the opportunity to meet him.

Oh lordie. It's everything they say it is. Ate here twice during my five-day stay in Nashville. Very efficient system of getting people in and out on the weekend. Had the two-egg breakfast with bacon the first time and fruit and eggs the second. With a biscuit of course. Just great. Service super friendly and helpful. Would have eaten here every morning if time permitted.

The bonuts were the most delicious things ever. I also ordered the Southern Benny which was soooo tasty. The gravy is on point. Make sure to go hungry though because the portion size is big. One breakfast can definitely feed two people.

Solid, approachable southern brunch fare. Basically all of the hip bruncheries in the city are overflowing with bodies at most times, but I appreciated Biscuit Love's casual order at the counter, get a number, food gets delivered approach. We didn't wait terribly long during peak brunch hours and were able to get a table easily. The food itself was great, but not the best brunch in the city by a long shot. I got the biscuit benny, with parma ham and an order of those lemon mascarpone donut things. Obviously the latter were tasty -- it's fried dough and cream essentially. The biscuit creation was served open face with sausage gravy, which I wish was applied a bit more generously, but all in all amazing comfort food with a unique twist.

I put 2 but I would have give 2.5 if possible. I had one day for Brunch in Nashville and I was bummed I used it here. To give context to my ratings, I usually am a 4 or 5 star grader. The food was alright (I got the east nasty and my friend the Benny) but mostly greasy and fried - very bland. The menu lacked variety and had very little in the way of flavorful combinations. I love bloody Mary's and there's looked promising. However, just to much "stuff" in there and I couldn't finish for fear of heart burn. The bonuts were the saving grace of the meal and were completely delicious - but nothing that you couldn't find at a state fair. All in all if I lived in Nashville I would check it out, but as a passerby I'm bummed I went there.

The food was incredible and so was the service. Ate at the counter and spoke with one of the owners. Nice guy, explained how they got started and about a new site opening soon. Would go back again next time we're in town.

I had really high hopes for this place. We got there early (a necessity, as quite a line can form outside) on Labor Day excited to try their delicious-looking breakfast. You order at the counter and then find a seat. The pictures don't look like it, but there is quite a bit of seating, including a patio out back. We tried the Southern Benny, which I had been drooling over ever since reading about it, a side of the Chronic Bacon, and Alma's potatoes. The Chronic Bacon lived up to the hype, and the Alma's potatoes were delicious-thin and crispy, seasoned just right. The Benny, however, was disappointing. The biscuit was a weird, dry, crumbly texture, there was next to no gravy on the biscuit (so that really didn't help the texture), and our egg was overdone. The shaved country ham was the best part of the dish. Maybe this was an off day for the kitchen, I'm not sure. The ingredients (except the biscuit) seemed fine, but the execution was just lacking. We may give it another shot the next time we're in town, given how positive a lot of the other reviews were.

Went on a Saturday morning. The wait was terrible. Stood outside about an hour in line, but it was completely worth it. This place had the best breakfast I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious and even though the line was super long, after we were seated, our food came out very hastily. Oh and if you do go, please have a mimosa and their bacon. Best mimosa I've ever had. The orange juice is so fresh. I will be going back next time I'm in the area.

  • Alisha W.

I went during the week at an off time to avoid the wait. I could see how annoying the line could get because of the way you order. I thought it was more of a sit down restaurant but you order right when you get there. It's also pretty expensive for a breakfast place. I spent $27 on bonuts, the hash, a side of grits and coffee. (Id rather go to Kitchen Notes spend $26 and get way more for my money) $3 for a coffee is a bit ridiculous when Starbucks is $1.50. The hash was delicious and it went well with the sweet bonuts. Overall, this won't be my new brunch place unless it's an off day and I'm wanting to splurge.

I met a friend for some biscuits and brunch on a Saturday afternoon. I love that only in the south can you ask someone to meet you for biscuits! The building was beautiful. The exposed brick, sky high ceilings and the giant "Nashville" sign were lovely touches. We grabbed menus and waited in a very slow line. There was a sign asking us to order before we were seated. When it was our turn to order the cashier announced to everyone that they were putting a hold on orders so the kitchen could catch up. They offered us water or a soft drink while we waited. We stood around for about 10 minutes watching the staff run around us. There seemed to be a disconnect between staff - even maybe some tension. After 10 minutes I was able to order. My friend and I both ordered the East Nasty - biscuits with cheese, fried chicken and sausage gravy. Our food came out within seconds of finding our seat - which made us confused as to why we had to wait so long for the kitchen to catch up?... My only complaint was the bizarre ordering experience and the fact that my gravy was cold. The fried chicken was incredible - perfectly crisp and the right amount of spice. The biscuit was good but maybe I was expecting something a little more amazing from a placed called "Biscuit Love". The gravy was cold but had good flavor. The staff was pretty attentive and helpful I will definitely be back - most likely on a weekday when they aren't so busy and don't have to stop the kitchen.

If you like biscuits, put this on your list of breakfast spots. The restaurant is laid back and spacious, and the food fits the bill for good breakfast/brunch food. On a Monday morning it wasn't too crowded and the food came rather quickly. The Bonuts were a good sweet start to the meal and the SEC was a good safe choice to sample what made this place and its food truck so popular. Give 'em a shot. You won't be disappointed!

I decided to brave the line and give Biscuit Love Brunch a try on the dreaded Sunday morning rush. It was bitter cold and the line was LONG. I keep hearing people say that the line moves quickly, but it really doesn't...sorry to bring in the bad news but it's true. On top of it...they had to put a freeze on food orders RIGHT after we got ours in because they were out of eggs. Eeesh. We barely missed that issue. But let's talk the good stuff. The freshly squeezed OJ was awesome and the mimosas were large. They also can make espresso drinks and have almond milk, and our lattes were really good! We ordered the Princess and the East Nasty. Both were absolutely delicious. The princess was cooked perfectly with a hint of honey and spice. MMMM. The East Nasty had a fantastic sausage gravy on top that was rich and flavorful. So good. I've heard that you can add gravy to the princess and make a "Nasty Princess" but I have to admit that it doesn't sound that good to me. I love the way the Princess was hot and sweet and I think the gravy would take away from that balance. Biscuit Love is really amazing, but be prepared to wait for it!

I may not rush to the newest juice bar or yoga studio (though I like both), but a place called Biscuit Love? I'm here. Note it's really on Pine to the right of Bar Louie, where that bar/boutique was. Bacon jam? I have to force myself to leave. This is supposed to be to go but I had to taste it and get this review out. Oh my, yes on the bacon jam, big pieces held together with something jammy. Alma's potatoes are tasty, seasoned right slices, but I wouldn't recommend getting them to go because of the heat sweat in the container. Ok, now that an hour has passed and I'm over my "new restaurant euphoria," in the spirit of Larry Wilmore, I will keep it 100. The biscuit is tremendous, the potatoes are slightly sweet, a tinch too greasy, and the portion is small for $3. I am also now questioning why I spent $1 per tiny pot of jam - I also got peach. However, I am impressed and one day when I don't care about my heart again, I will return for the burger served on a biscuit.

I am not sure where to start with this review. I am completely surprised this spot isn't further up on the ranks online. It's amazing!!! We decided to walk here from our hotel Tuesday morning after finding this location online for brunch. Everyone taking the time to read this review, trust me when I say this... You have to have breakfast/brunch here at least once during your travels here. We enjoyed our experience so much we came back this morning as well before heading out of town. It's in a super modern "up and coming" part of Nashville located near The Pub and also Bar Louie. They offer meter parking on the streets as well as a pay to park lot across the way. (Keep in mind the first hour is free) When you walk in this restaurant they offer seats up at their bar top which you can sit and order and be served by someone which is what we did both mornings. If you decide to sit at the tables be you order at the front counter and they will deliver your food when it's ready. Their menu is full of unique breakfast/lunch options, I personally had a hard time ordering because I wanted to try everything. The first morning we ordered The Princess, Biscuits & Gravy as well as The East Nasty. Everything was amazing!! I personally enjoyed the Princess the most. They offer a blood Mary and mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice, it honestly couldn't get any better. They do also serve beer & wine. Our second visit here we were recommended trying the Nasty Princess (not actually on the menu) and it was delicious. We also had to order those Bonuts, oh my... No words are needed to describe them, just do yourself a favor and order them you can thank me later!! I personally also ordered the Blacklock Hash, it was delicious but I honestly think The Princess is the way to go. One of the best breakfast items I've ever eaten in my life. The staff here is extremely polite, friendly & knowledgable. This review could go on for pages. Just go!! Enjoy!

Unbelievable. There are not many words other then that to describe it. Long line out the door but goes very fast. Also you can go straight to the bar for full service instead of waiting. We got "The Princess", "East Nasty" and Bonuts. The Bonuts came out later than our food so they took them off our bill. Not necessary but so so nice. If you're in Nashville, this is a must!!

Congrats on Bon Appetit's 'Best New Sandwich' for The East Nasty, you guys! Well deserved. One Sunday morning, I was up at an ungodly hour to pick my boo up from the airport. This place totally hit the spot that afternoon (after a nice, long nap) and walking a bit from the parking lot in the oven that is Nashville during the summer. We went into this expecting it to be insane since Sunday afternoon is THE peak time of omg, BRUNCH. The line was long but we were fine with that because it gave us some time to cool the hell down and decide on what we wanted so that people after us didn't have to wait even longer. HINT HINT. I got the Lily (biscuit french toast, compote, house made syrup & lemon mascarpone) & he got the Princess (lol, hot chicken, mustard, honey + pickles) to get our sweet & savory on. It was the perfect amount of food (we were starving) & delicious but what really made my day was that THEY HAVE OCTANE ICED COFFEE and it's amazing! I didn't see it on the menu, figured they couldn't do it but asked just to be safe. So glad I did. The outdoor seating area was surprisingly pleasant so we sat out there, brunched with our sunglasses on and acted like we were from LA. We'll certainly be back!

When we arrived at 8:30am there was a line outside. After waiting 20 minutes I went inside to use the restroom and noticed 6 seats open at the bar which turned out to be seat yourself so I sat down and called my wife inside to join me. We order the Bonuts for our breakfast app because from all the reviews I had read you can eat breakfast here without Trying them and boy was I glad we did. I had the French toast and sausage which was amazing and my wife had the shrimp n grits. Everything was really good and fresh.

Traveling to Nashville for the 4th of July weekend, we were looking for the go-to brunch place in the city. Biscuit love fits all the criteria -- Southern charm, in the hip part of the city, and BISCUITS. I wasn't sure what to expect (afterwards Aliza thought I was crazy for not seeing what was to come after entering their doors). We got the southern benny and the egg plate. Coming from Chicago, we are no strangers to intense food experiences, but Holy smokes. I'm a big guy and could only muscle down a biscuit and a half (although the sliced ham was excellent -- side note: the ham should be a prominent feature on this plate, but was masked by the gravy). The egg plate is a great choice if you want to try a little bit of everything. I personally liked the sausage the best, the way it was spiced and smokey was delish. Aliza thought the biscuit and jam was the bee's knees.

This place is awesome. First of all, the decor is super cute, modern, and clean. There was a small line when we went Friday morning for breakfast. You order at the counter and take a seat. Fortunately, there was bar seating so we went straight to the bar and didn't have to wait. The 3 of us shared the bonuts which I highly recommend. They are biscuit donut holes (which are good alone) but I think they really shone because of the mascarpone cheese and blueberry compote. For my entree I got the Princess which is a biscuit with hot chicken. It was SO good. I really will miss eating it. It was very flavorful, fried well, slightly sweet, and not too spicy. It doesn't come with any sides but after eating that and 2-3 bonuts, I was full. Prices are reasonable. You should check this place out

We had such high expectations for this place; too high. Started out with the Bonuts, which were OK but could be better if served with more lemon topping. I had the East Nasty with a side of potatoes. Thought that for a $10 biscuit sandwich, it would come with a side but that's not the case. The sandwich lacked flavor, mainly because the biscuit itself is nearly tasteless. My husband had the Princess and said the same thing. We would much rather go to the Loveless Cafe for a hearty, tasty and satisfying breakfast than to Biscuit Love. On the plus side, the interior of Biscuit Love is hip and has a cool vibe. We were able to be seated immediately on a busy Sunday morning because we sat at the bar -- where the bartender takes your order. That saved us about 30 minutes! But all in all, I think we are one and done here. Not worth the expense given the underwhelming execution on food.

Had the Lily biscuits. Okay, but would not go there again. Didn't feel there were enough options for me. The place is clean and modern.

Did not personally try the biscuits but my eggs and potatoes were good. The donuts were worth the 45 minute wait in line. Only giving 3 stars because they really need shade and water for the patrons waiting outside to get in.

Really neat place and good food. Our service was fast and friendly. They messed up my order but didn't hesitate to remove it off my bill which goes a long way in my book. They have real fresh squeezed oj which was fabulous.

Really cute location! REALLY long line to get breakfast and honestly the food was underwhelming. If I'm going to wait that long I'm going to go to a historic restaurant such as Loveless Café or Monell's. The coffee also was not great but then again if you're looking for just a cute place and not too worried about how good the food is then this is the place for you

I have to say from my hours I log weekly gazing off to the food network to my insane desire to try new & unique places I was very skeptical of the new scene: "Biscuits Love Brunch". We walked up about 25 people in line in the rain (great start right?), it actually moved decently took us about 20 minutes to get inside and that is where the "real line" started another 35 or so deep. But here is the catch, the service here is so fantastic that we were tipped off that 2 spots opened up at the bar and they sat us at the bar within 5 minutes of entering (saved us a cool 30 minutes from having to stay in line). The bar is full service BTW. This should be tattooed on your forehead if you go there and don't mind sitting at the bar "While you are waiting in line if a bar seat opens up jump on it!", they encourage this but at same time it feels like you shouldn't do it. Once you get past the line the level of service in this place is unbelievable from Joey who was the manager on duty (I believe) to the entire staff (top notch). My fiancé got the East Nasty and an order of Bonuts and by the time I looked back over at him it was gone. Bonuts were an unbelievable balance of muffin and donuts with this blueberry compote that made them 100% out of bounds amazing. These are a must order! The East Nasty he got was a flakey, huge, biscuit, topped with sausage gravy then super-moist fried chicken combination. For a guy that doesn't crave old school/old fashion Southern Food he devoured it, I had a big bite and was blown away how savory yet simple it was. Top notch! While the line is intimidating get over it, with one eye on the bar and one eye on the line. You won't be disappointed and BTW if you sit at the bar and can figure out how the Orange Juice machine works please let me know! It looks likes its from outer space! Top 5 places Brunch places period in Nashville. Hope they add dinner!

Food was great, service was even better. We tried the Ham Bar for appetizer. It was already filling for two people. We had the Lindstrom and The Sammy. Delicious!!! Highly recommend coming on a weekday as there is no wait at all.

Trendy & mod, Biscuit Love's fast-casual set up was executed to perfection. There's always someone at the door to greet you and explain how ordering and seating work. You wait in line, but it moves fast as the establishment uses the latest in iPad-based POS software and hardware. You pay, they give you a number and you find a table. Literally by the time our butts had hit our seats, they were bringing our first course, the bonuts which are to die for. Warm and buttery with a touch of sweetness and a blueberry compote on top. The rest of the food came out almost as fast. I ordered the shrimp & grits which was terrific. It's a little spicy and a little lemony which actually worked well together. My daughter had the East Nasty which is a chicken fried chicken thigh over biscuits with sausage gravy. OMG this is so delicious I cannot even tell you. The batter was crisp but not greasy. The chicken was HUGE, moist and juicy and seasoned well. The biscuits are amazing. The gravy was savory and not oily. Highly recommended. We also had the ham sampler. It was basically three kinds of prosciutto with some stone ground mustard and little crackers. The quality was excellent and worth a try if you're a prosciutto person. We loved Biscuit Love! I think you will too.

This place is the real deal. Don't be fooled by the modern décor the food here is down home southern. Nestled in what looks to be a modern style live/work development area this joint serves up the best of the south. Now, to be fair, I just got off a plane from LA and haven't lived in the South since going to Denton, TX for college but the cheese grits reminded me of my grandmother's recipe and she was a life long Missourian living deep in the Ozarks, just sayin. FOOD: Solid A I had the southern Benny. Biscuits were perfect, flakey but held together, just the right amount of gravy not drowned in it and the eggs were cooked right. I got a side of cheesy grits and they are a must. Wife got the Egg plate. I mean bacon is always good but this was GREAT! Think strips that tasted baked, YO! Also, if you get a plain biscuit get the homemade jam, it's worth your time. SERVICE: A I do live in LA so I'm used to a fast paced get in and get out life style, honestly I like it! But it always catches me off guard when everyone working the joint asks me how I'm doing and insists I take my time. Didn't have to wait for the plates to clear they just nailed it! AMBIANCE: B+ It's awesome! Clean, big, plenty of space. But there's something about eating food this good while sitting at a picnic table outside. It's not a deterrent, just saying there is something about it. The staff is super presentable too! Parking: A Ample parking, be it meter, lot, or structure. Structure across the street is free for the 1st hour. Wether you are getting off a plane and visiting or living down here you gotta check this place out. High 5 the Exec chef too she's KILLING IT!!!

I absolutely love this place. I am totally a breakfast girl. I think it's the most important meal of the day and it should fill you up. Breakfast here was delicious and very filling. Perfect portions for the price. The inside is very nice, modern, and clean but still casual. Not McDonald's casual but not too fancy either. Check out the pictures. There's also lots of seating for the huge crowds. A good time to go is about 11 on a weekday because it starts piling up for lunch at about 11:20. Not sure about the weekends. Service is very friendly and quick. This is a definite must-go if you can beat the crowds. Enjoy:)

I'm too lazy to write a review unless the place really leaves a lasting impression. Today I went here for the second time. The first being on a weekend around 11-ish and it was PACKED! I sat at the bar that day since the seating there was open and available. I ate the S.E.C on that day it arrived very quickly and it was delicious! Today when I went around 11-ish as well it was not as busy but still lively. I could have sat at one of the tables but I like the bar better because it has more action! As usual I was immediately served a drink (sweet tea, yum!) and asked if I had any questions. I asked if the Princess was spicy since hot chicken was in quotes and yes it is but they said I could order it less spicy or no spice. So I ordered less spicy and it was perfect! The pickles really help cool it off and the biscuit doesn't stick to the roof of my mouth like biscuits sometimes do. I was even asked by who I assume is the owner if my Princess was good, and of course it was. This made me feel special because unlike some restaurants I didn't see him stop at everyone and ask the same thing. I wish I lived here so I could visit more often but I plan on making at least one more stop before I leave Nashville.

First off, if the line is out the door, you're probably still going to not have to wait too long - you order as you go in and then find a table and shortly after your food comes to you. They've definitely got their operations down and that is not something that some really busy places have together. I ordered the East Nasty with a side of cheesy grits. The biscuit was pretty tasty - more bready than flaky like I usually enjoy, but still pretty good. The chicken thigh was the best part, extra crispy, very moist and tender, perfectly seasoned. It was then topped off with a light sprinkling of cheddar (which I couldn't taste, but saw some on the plate), and sausage gravy - I could have used just a little more of the gravy for the biscuit, but overall it was good. The cheesy grits were good, but not very cheesy. Overall it was a great place for brunch, portion was a bit smaller than I am use to seeing, but was very tasty (and definitely prevented overeating).

LOVED having brunch here. The line gets extremely long, as it is a smaller restaurant, and they have the model where you order and pay at the front and then claim a seat. If you are going as a couple, try to snag a bar seat because you can order from the bar and cut down on the wait. A really nice worker informed my boyfriend and I that there was a spot at the bar and we did not have to wait in line!! Try: The fresh squeezed orange juice or mimosa. We sat in front of the juicer and they literally squeeze the oranges right into your glass. Can't get much fresher. I had the Lily (biscuit french toast, lemon mascarpone, blueberry compote, and syrup) it was so unique and tasty. Just the right amount of sweet and fruity. The coffee was also fresh and flavorful!

Biscuit Love Brunch is as southern as they come. It's in the emerging "cool" district called The Gulch and it's off to the side of the shopping area. They specialize in very buttery biscuits. I got the burger with bacon jam and it was amazing. However, it was a bit pricey for Nashville and not enough food. It also took 5 years off your life as food in Nashville does.

Twice in three days, doesn't that say enough on why Biscuit Love deserves 5 stars? While the biscuits are fluffy, it's the bacon that keeps me coming back. Aw heck, get em both.

Food=(mostly) delicious. Value=mediocre. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp was cooked *perfectly*. Really. So good. The grits had a great, light texture, but needed a little salt and probably could have used a bit stronger cheese for flavor. But overall, not disappointing. My husband got the Wash Park burger which was AWESOME. I mean, that bad boy blew me away. I love pimento cheese and didn't think anything could beat my favorite (from a little place in Kentucky). The burger didn't come with any sides at all though, which was a little lame. In fact, all the portions appeared prett small. And the biscuits were nothing special at all. Not bad, but definitely not worth any "biscuit love". Not bad, and I probably will come back to try the other menu items, but I was disappointed with the cost for what you get.

Excellent spot for breakfast , brunch , lunch . I'll include a photo of the Brussel sprout and egg dish since there wasn't one on the photo archive. We of course, had bonuts (better than donuts, in my opinion). My Vandy graduate, my husband and me all loved our dishes. We are out back to the peaceful sound of the fountain next door . A great experience!

Get there early because you're going to wait in a line but it moves quickly and is worth it! Yummy breakfast, with quality service in a fun casual atmosphere!

Love is definitely the right word for this place. We went on a Sunday morning, around 10. It was busy but the flow of the counter service and the seating was perfect, no one was ever waiting around for a seat, tables were never empty for more than a few minutes. I was kind of mystified by the efficiency of it all. The table started with the Bonuts, they were amazing, like a savory shortcake covered in sugar and filled with a delicious cheesey creamy goodness. You have to eat these. Our main orders came very quickly as well and we started in on our meals. I ordered the SEC, a friend egg and ham sausage on a biscuit. The only thing I could have used was a side of gravy, but I think most things could use a side of gravy so choose for yourself. Everyone else also loved what they ordered. I drank a bloody mary, completely awesome! This place is totally worth trying and if I lived in Nashville, I would totally make this a regular spot.

I am not saying that this place is worth the hour to half (I hate lines)... but is it definitely a great Nashville brunch destination in every way imaginable. My best friend in Nashville really wanted to do an early breakfast and had me pick. So of course I picked this place! What it is: Classic southern breakfasts in SANE portions but with super deliciousness and a super clean and accessible location. Why the food is amazing: - Mimosas - not just your basic mimosas but super premium orange juice and delightful bubble - French Toast - the most flavorful and best syruped/jammed French Toast ever - even simple things like biscuits What I really like is that they have you pay ahead of time... so if you are in a rush, it saves you a lot of time. The place is super clean and modern. Oh and there is even outdoor seating!

  • Matt D.

They have good food here but they are pretty proud with their biscuits and you definitely pay a premium. I guess they say you do pay for quality but I think there are better brunch spots in Nashville. Make sure to get their early so you do not have to wait.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, our puck rock server was horrible, and my breakfast was almost as bad. Waitress totally turned a blind-eye to us once she realized that the kitchen botched our order.

Even just sitting down to write about it, I can't help but want Biscuit Love Brunch again...and again... and again! Oh my goodness it is SO good! Do not be put off by the long line because it is worth the wait- and food comes out extremely fast. Like 10 minutes fast. I am huge fan of the East Nasty and the Princess... so when I heard I could combine the two, I was elated. Voila: a Nasty Princess. This is not on the menu, but if you ask them for the combo they are happy to give it to you. I also like ordering an egg on the side and putting it on the biscuit. So. damn. good. If you have not experienced the magic that is Biscuit Love. I urge you to go. Take advantage of the free Gulch parking, stand in line, and have yourselves a wonderfully awesome time. If you want to avoid the line then the most ideal time to go is in the afternoon before they close/after lunch time.. but I think the wait makes it that much better. I've also heard the bonuts are to die for but I have not eaten them yet. Also, they have mimosas & bloodys! Tip: try to get a table outside while one of you stands in the inside line. There's only a few tables but it's so pretty out there especially when the weather is nice!

Best fried chicken I've ever had! Only complaint, wasn't sure if we got our own refills and I had to get up and request for them twice for our party but they promptly did it and everyone was very friendly!

We found this place on Yelp. So good! You order at the counter and they bring you your food. We sat out on the patio, which was very nice. Hubby had Southern Benny - biscuits, gravy, shaved ham and eggs. I am not a fan of ham, but their ham is tender and delicious and not too salty. I had the egg plate - two eggs cooked to order, bacon, biscuit, grits and a mimosa. The biscuit was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Home made jam with it was great. Bacon and eggs were great, grits were creamy and tasty. Mimosa was made with fresh squeezed orange juice. If we lived in Nashville, we'd be here all the time!

I really hate saying this, but I wasn't that impressed with Biscuit Love Brunch. I found it okay, but nothing that makes me rave about it. I think the issue is that I didn't pick something they're known for, therefore having a mediocre experience. Plus, it was insanely hot in that restaurant this past Sunday. It felt better going outside afterwards-that's saying something! I had the Princess, which again was okay, but nothing that left an impression. I will go again and have the items they're known for and check it out!

Let me start by saying the service was great. Always refreshing when a new place puts service at the forefront. A friend and I met here for a casual weekday breakfast. We ordered bonuts to share and she got a sandwich while I got there version of Shrimp and Grits (Bill Neal). We were both pleased with our meals. The Bill Neal has a kick to it, so if you like that you will enjoy this.

Sunday morning. An amazing time to grab some friends for a new culinary experience. You're fresh from a long night's rest, but a little exhausted if you played your cards right on a Saturday during Nashville's incredible summertime. My group was waiting outside in line for ten minutes, as I arrived. Water and menus were provided. This, is a fantastic idea. In an expensive place like the Gulch, asking patrons to wait outside means more table space inside. Good thinking, Biscuit Love! Or, so I thought. Imagine my delight when we got inside to find another line. Yeah, outside waiting wasn't smart planning. So, just like any other brunch spot in Nash. Plan ahead, bring friends. And get ready to chat it up. Twenty minutes later, we arrived at the register. The ladies at the register were super polite, and extremely helpful. I may have sparked a feud by taking one girl's suggestion over the other. My bad. In my defense, I think these two had a prior argument over which menu item was best, and I was not warned about resparking the fire. The tables were comfortable, though stark. The walls were white, with little decoration. The decoration fits the Gulch, the stylish and modern heart of our fair city. But... Biscuits are country. I was expecting more homage to the farm table their menu pulls from. The food was up incredibly fast. I went with the Hash skillet. Potato hash, topped with eggs and bacon? Yes please. And delicious it was. Incredible flavour, with great seasoning. Now, there is a pitfall with this combination, and unfortunately Biscuit Love fell into the trap. Salt. Potatoes are best eaten with salt. And bacon? Super salty when its cooked. I went through a few glasses of water to stave off dehydration, and a trip to the ER. You gotta add something sweet to the mix to offset the salt. But, very few establishments get that right. Also, I'm not from the south. Maybe y'all like salt-mouth. My friends positively loved their dish. But I'll let them review it on their own ;) TL;DR Biscuit Love is a fantastic brunch location, and I will definitely recommend it to my friends for Sunday morning noms.

I was disappointed my first time at Biscuit Love Brunch with how long the wait (in line and for the food. The boyfriend refuses to go back with me because of how long it took to get food). But I think they were fairly new to the brick-and-mortar flow because the other times since, the wait time has been much shorter (granted, those were weekdays). Its a very cute little restaurant. The bonuts are the MUST food at this place. You MUST get them. Not thrilled with the "Lily" (biscuit french toast), which was surprising because it has all my favorite things in it. The Princess and the East Nasty are great. I would also skip the mimosa and the bloody Mary. - @gluttoneats -

Awesome place. Had the steak and eggs. Cooked it a little rare for my tastes but still very good. The bonuts are definitely worth trying and the atmosphere is nice. Sat on the patio!

No exaggeration, this is some of the best food I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. My friend and I went once and came back the next day because it was that good...probably would have had lunch there too if my schedule allowed. ;) This place has a nice, clean look on both the inside and outside. We were greeted right as we walked into the door, and handed a menu. You have the option of placing your order and then picking a table (they bring the food out to you) or to sit at the "bar" and have full service. We wanted the full experience so we went right to the bar. Everyone on staff was extremely nice and helpful. I ordered a coffee for starters, and it was delicious. Great roast. Anyway, they bring that out in a custom mug that has a thumbprint for your thumb to rest in while you hold it...most comfortable mug I've personally ever used. (They're handmade and for sale, along with t-shirts and other items at the front of the store if you're interested) My friend ordered their fresh squeezed orange juice and said it was fantastic. Right at the bar they have a juicing machine (the coolest one I've seen!) That has a see through front, so you can watch the oranges being squeezed. Now, the moment you've been waiting for...the food! I ordered the vegetarian grits with a biscuit, and my friend had fried chicken with sausage gravy over a biscuit, with chronic bacon. What is chronic bacon you ask? It's bacon with red pepper flakes and some kind of brown sugary concoction. I'm a vegetarian, but I remember my meat eating days vividly, and this looked like the Mecca of bacon. My friend confirmed that notion...she was loving it. My vegetarian cheese grits were insane...best grits I've ever had, creamy and cheesy but nothing overboard or greasy about em...they were just perfect. They were covered with a tomato gravy. Some people may be turned off by the way that sounds, but it is one of the most delicious things I've tasted. Not too thick, not too much of it, and it had stewed tomatoes in it. I had my two eggs on top over hard, and it's garnished on top with some bright, beautiful kale. Raw, not cooked, and dressed with what I can describe as a lemony type vinaigrette. The biscuit was a nice size, soft and flaky. Came with a side of some sort of jam, blueberry perhaps, but definitely homemade. The vegetarian grits dish has to be in the top 3 best things I've ever eaten in my life. To top all of this off, we ordered "Bonuts" for dessert. What are Bonuts? BISCUIT DONUTS, are you KIDDING ME!? Also one of the best things I've ever had. Soft but still with texture, topped with a lemon mascarpone, and dusted with cinnamon and sugar, these little pillows of heaven sit atop a blueberry compote. So. So. Amazing. The owner (I think he was!) Carl, is fantastic. He's very down to earth and was striking up conversation and just very genuine. This place started as a food truck and then turned into a restaurant about 6 months or so ago. We went two days in a row, at different times of the day, and the food was spot on each time. Consistent and quick. So let's recap - Amazing food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cool ambience (also outdoor seating). Amazing food. Run, don't walk to Biscuit Love...you won't regret it! My only regret is that it's not in South Florida.:( This place needs to be featured on Food Network!

One of our favorites! Biscuit Love was an amazing food truck... Now it's an even more amazing restaurant! Located in the Gulch, Biscuit Love serves up some of the best and most incentive biscuits in town. The East Nasty (fried chicken and sausage gray), the Princess (hot chicken and spicy mustard) and the ever-elusive Nasty Princess (a mind-blowing combination of the two)... Try them all, your arteries will thank you! If savory isn't your thing, try out the Bronuts... Little donut holes of heaven made of biscuit dough. Then there's the Bronut French Toast... The same heavenly biscuit dough, this time doused in french toast batter and served up. Again, happy arteries. The restaurant itself is big with a great patio or back. The decor is fresh, casual and all things Nashville, including the line around the block around 9am. Get there early, be hungry... And get a Bronut for me!

I could eat here every day. So good that I want to move to Nashville just to get these biscuits. I had the Southern Benny with eggs over easy and it was so delicious that, having finished the meal, I lamented having to leave the table. Would shed tears of joy and write poetry on culinary bliss for a chance to taste again these biscuits. Surely all the gods do work in the kitchen here, for how else do they make food that tastes like the laughter of angels? How else does one distill a cool summer breeze and call it sausage gravy? I fear these questions have no answer, but still, the chef should be given gold rings, a laurel wreath and paraded through the city on the back of an elephant. Truly no feat more worthy of a triumph has ever been done at breakfast. I applaud thee, great master of The Gulch. I stand and applaud and pray to whichever god will listen, that you live forever and that children sing songs in the streets proclaiming your prowess. I should also mention the fast service, friendly staff and fresh orange juice. If they tried any harder to achieve perfection, Mr. Webster would have to redefine the word to include, Biscuit Love.

Best Biscuits I've ever had. The layering is amazing. Texture, taste, perfection. The blackberry jam was just as amazing. It matched them perfectly. I asked for over medium eggs and got a less cooked version over easy. Not too upset about that though cause everything else was perfection. Bacon was thick and delicious. The grits were amazing as well. They had cheese in them.

You have to come here!!! We are from California for vacation and found this place on yelp. The food is fresh and delicious. From steak and eggs to blueberry French toast made with biscuits to the Bonuts which are amazing. Add a mimosa and sit outside and relax! We came for breakfast twice! No complaints!

I'm sorry to say that I didn't really love my meal at Biscuit Love. It's a super cute place and the staff were nice and friendly and I really WANTED to like it, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I wonder if I ordered the wrong thing, because my husband really loved his meal. I had the biscuit french toast and it was just... not great. It was soggy and mushy and just not at all what I expected. On the other hand, the coffee was good and we tried a side of cheese grits and THEY were amazing (I think what I should have ordered was the vegetarian cheese grits plate. I would have enjoyed that much more- but this morning, I was in the mood for something sweet!). I also got a bloody mary and it had good flavor but was IMPOSSIBLE to drink. It was just way too thick and chunky. It was like trying to drink chunky salsa or chili. I ended up leaving half of it because I just couldn't take the texture anymore!

this place is super adorable and i always love brunch (i know. so basic. but brunch is so good!) plus my hubby loves biscuits, so we figured this place couldn't go wrong! except, unfortunately, it could and it did. i ordered the french toast biscuits which sounded interesting, but tasted gross. the biscuits were very dense (not at all light or buttery), to the point that we were wondering if maybe they were using leftover day old biscuits? i'll give them the benefit of the doubt and just say that biscuits don't really lend themselves to being cooked as french toast. hubby got the steak and eggs and he liked the steak (small portion, but good quality meat), but his 2 poached eggs came floating in water and tasted like vinegar (which they probably used to set the egg whites faster, but you shouldn't use so much that it affects the taste). he also liked his biscuit (great flaky texture, unlike the ones i had) and the homemade jam. the grits were pretty gloppy and unforgettable. the worst for us was the lemonade. the glass was filled to the brim w/ ice and probably had ~1oz of lemonade actually in it. it was pretty shameless. and also made no sense (since lemonade is already 90% water, and pretty cheap to make).

Biscuit Love Brunch can't get it wrong! It's true, there is a line on weekends (duh!) but it moves quickly because of the design. We sat down after placing our order, food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Overall a great experience! This was our first visit since they put down roots in the Gulch, we used to get our fix at the Franklin Farmers Market. Happy to see their business grow!

Though more of a yuppie than a down home southern type place, we really enjoyed Biscuit Love Brunch for breakfast while in town. I had the french toast biscuits, which I found amazing. The crispy outside, soft and delicate inside, biscuits were topped with fresh blueberry compote and a light lemon marscarpone cheese making this a sweet delicacy perfect for the occasional breakfast treat. We also sampled a variety plate with some amazing ham, biscuits and gravy and made to order eggs. Definitely worth the price for the quality alone.

Ok so I will come back but I'm not really crazy and ga ga about this place. I had the steak and eggs my partner in crime had the east nasty. To start the cheese grits were cold when they got to my table. I love grits! My two scrambled eggs looked like one egg that had been whipped to make its volume look like two eggs but they were cooked well. We both thought the biscuit was a little to fragile for a sandwich but it did have a good taste and texture. Alma's potatoes were good and hot with just the right amount of salt and pepper. The saving graces from my stand point were two items that came with my meal. First was the steak, it was 5oz of pure heaven. They cooked it to perfection, which is something most steakhouses have trouble with. It was a good cut and very tender and the flavor was heavenly. The second was the jam that they sent to go on my biscuit. It was made In-house and was a very unexpected surprise. Just the right sweetness and not too thick. I spread it on my biscuit and wanted to lick the small cup that it came in to get more of it. On my next visit I plan on trying the country ham sampler which gives you a sample of all 4 of the hams the serve. I also want to try some of the pastries. All and all, it was a pleasant experience and a good breakfast although we both thought for the serving sizes the price is slightly high. Breakfast is the cheapest meal for a restaurant to prepare and serve. So I expected it to cost less than the $35.00 for the two meals and drinks we had. Photos are deceptive regarding serving size.

Nice place for breakfast in The Gulch. Went with 3 other ladies-no one was disappointed. You order your food at the counter and it's delivered to your table when it's ready-nice and fresh and hot. I had the Egg Plate with scrambled eggs and bacon. Very good. You can get the eggs cooked any way, so you can get poached for a healthier option. And the creamy grits are really creamy-being a northerner, I am certainly not an expert on grits, but I really liked these. My daughter had yogurt and granola with fruit. The portion size was so large, she had trouble finishing it (she's got quite the appetite being a larger girl). Highly recommend.

I never heard of this place but it was recommended so we checked it out. We arrived around 9 something or other in the morning and there was plenty of available seating. The menu, as you can imagine, is biscuit based dishes. Interesting stuff I had the french biscuit (like french toast but with a biscuit). The biscuit was good but wasn't anything spectacular. It's a pricey place, I imagine to cover the rent and decor, two breakfasts and coffees: $27. Not sure if I'd stop in again since there are a lot of other restaurants for breakfast/brunch. It was a good experience and decent food. The coffee wasn't that great.

Simply amazing . Recommended by a local , and totally worth it . A wait to get in but moves quickly . Order at the counter and food was there before I got to my table. Got the east nasty and bonuts. Both tasted like something served from heaven . If you are in nashville , it's a must

another post about the bonuts. but seriously, this is not crowd mentality "the bonuts are awesome !" this is genuine "the bonuts changed my life and i will never be the same!" truth! you might be thinking "whatever, just another replace in the gulch, typical" fine, think that, miss out, leave more space in there for people who are willing to gain 50lbs from eating their weight in bonuts (and grits and biscuits and gravy, and...). it was dreary day outside (several months ago, i'm late writing this) but inside, inside here, it was heaven. there were angels playing the harp, seraphims flying about, keeping a watchful eye over the gifted hands of the preparers. how do they do it? i don't know. if i did know, i wouldn't tell either, sometimes magic is left that, magic. as if the food wasn't amazing enough, as if the feeling of a reward after a lifetime of service when walking in wasn't enough, the chaps that work here are friendly too. like genuinely friendly. that's always a plus in my book!

Their biscuits are dank. Dank as in the way "used by stoners and hippies for something of high quality" (Urban Dictionary). Buttery and tender with just enough salt to make you feel like no I didn't just eat a lump of floury fat. I ate a biscuit. A buttery round with a crunchy exterior and a soft interior. A tad crumbly sure, but nothing that couldn't be frosted with one of their homemade jams (I chose blackberry). Their grits were meh in comparison, not worth the guilt of a traditional southern breakfast. Atmosphere was modern and warm. Going alone? They have wifi and small two ppl tables. Going with friends? Even better you can try their food when they get full. Come back I will, eat more biscuits, I must.

    1) The bonuts are delicious - a must try! 2) The east nasty was too heavy & greasy for me, but may be okay for others 3) The price of the mimosa was a bit pricey for me - $9 4) The bloody mary was very thick, could barely suck it through the straw -- but the flavor was nice I'll go back and I'll take friends because I did enjoy the atmosphere and next time I'll get something that isn't fried.

I loved how you go through the Łone to order and have you food delivered to your table within 5 minutes. The BoNuts are AMAZING- just get them! The Bloody Mary was very tasty but thick kinda like Salsa. Biscuits were good! Bacon: thick and too salty for me .

Nashville has many choices when it comes to a traditional southern breakfast. Really, in most cases, you can't go wrong. But you also, in most cases, won't get something innovative. Enter: the bonut. What can only be described as a beignet who got in a wrestling match in a giant pile of sugar, one needn't look past the starters section of the menu in order to make your journey to Biscuit Love worth the trip. The bonut is topped with a small dollop of some sort of tart, cream perfection that really takes it from a "really good donut hole" to "masterpiece of the kitchen." The rest of the menu is solid (on par with anything else Nashville has to offer), but nothing rises to the level of the bonut. Nothing.

I split the BCBLT and Princess biscuit sandwich with my wife. My only regret is sharing. I should've ordered one of each and had a full on binge eating episode. The biscuits were nothing short of perfection. The hot chicken was much like my wife: the right balance of hot, juicy, and just sweet enough to make you forever forsake all others. The chronic bacon was so good it forever ruined all other bacon for me. Ron Swanson would never eat any other bacon after eating the chronic bacon here. Let that soak in. I feel a deep sense of sadness as I know it's all down hill from here. My only chance at brunch happiness is to drive 3.5hrs each way from my house to eat here every day. In all seriousness, this place is great. You won't be disappointed.

Very pleasant vibe. Friendly staff. Good service. I had the the two egg breakfast with grits and bacon. The grits are awesome and generally I don't get excited about grits. The eggs were fresh and cooked the way I like. My first bite of the biscuit was INCREDIBLY SALTY! I love biscuits and understand that salt is an ingredient in most recipes but this was way too much. Same thing with the bacon. Nice thick, not greasy, strips of bacon but Even more salty than the biscuit. I like this place and want them to succeed but excess salt thing will kill their business. They are a new place and I assume that they are still tweaking some things. Please someone do them a favor and STEAL ALL THIER SALT SHAKERS!!

I have been here several times. Ive had the east nasty, princess, steak and eggs, chronic bacon, lily (biscuit french toast) and shrimp and grits plus lots and lots of bonuts. Everything was executed perfectly. Fresh tasty and reasonably priced. I like that the servers pull tips. This makes the service good because several people are checking on you

Great breakfast, awesome Bloody Mary and the bonut's are the stuff of dreams. The atmosphere was nice and it was cool to see the guys making bacon and sausage at the entrance. We were visiting Nashville for the first time and woke up in serious need for some "real food" after having bar food all night and this hit the spot. It was a little pricier than I'm used to for breakfast but we ordered more than we could eat and I would happily pay it again.

We went really early on a Sunday morning. When we got there, the line was wrapped around the corner of the building. The staff were super nicer, the restaurant was clean and "stylish". I really enjoyed my breakfast and mimosa. My only complaint is that the menu is a bit pricer than I'd like, but the restaurant is in the Gulch, so I don't know what I expected. Overall, we didn't have to wait super long and the food was delicious. My advice: don't go on the weekend unless you're willing to wait in a Pancake Pantry-esq line

I discovered this gem while on a recent business trip to Nashville. Being born in Memphis and raised in the Mid-South, I appreciate and am very critical of a good, country breakfast. BLB infuses a hip, trendiness to good ole home cookin'! Personally, I can't complain in the least about the food, which was outstanding - as was the service. Their 7:00am open time made it easy for a business traveler to get in, get great grub, and get out. My only warning is to those with high blood pressure or sensitivity to sodium. As long as you stick with the healthy options, you should be fine. But, if you dive into the biscuits, gravy, and plates with all the fixin's, prepare yourself for the salt. Otherwise, you will fall in Biscuit Love here.

Fried Chicken, Homemade Biscuits, and Gravy?!?! Don't mind if I do. The inside is nicely decorated and is a great place to catch up with friends while eating homemade biscuits! This place is a more upscale hipster brunch place, with their hipster looking nashville sign and mini tabasco sauces. I fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in and saw the decors. I ordered the east nasty and it was probably the best decision i've ever made! They put a huge piece of perfectly fried chicken on top of my biscuit and that is covered in gravy. I felt very masculine eating the chicken with the big knife it came with haha. I had to ask for more gravy because I felt that they had skimped on the gravy. (you can never have too much gravy, am i right?) The waitress was super nice about it and quickly brought me another bowl of gravy so A+ for service. I also ordered a side order of Alma's Potatoes and let me tell you, those potatoes were the best potatoes I've ever had! They were a little bit of greasy, but that don't matter. I would highly recommend ordering Alma's Potatoes!!!! Great location, Great food, Great service, Great everything!!!!

Wonderful food, decent portions, extremely friendly and attentive staff, free parking in the garage across the street if in and out within an hour ($2 after that). You absolutely must try the bonuts! Delicious!

Great food, lovely space, awesome for big groups. If you're looking for a brunch type meal with a southern twist, go here. The biscuits are soft and buttery, they keep the salt levels in check, and everybody loved the fried chicken. (princess chicken?). Plus points for good espresso based drinks.

I give triple thumbs up to this amazing breakfast place. If you are like me--don't like the eggs thin or running, you'll absolutely love their eggs. Bacon.....I could eat their bacon--it's carmelized with maple, so order yourself a chronic bacon! Everything there is homemade including their yummy biscuits, so this place is worth to try.

Pretty good but not great. I had the Bonuts as an app and the East Nasty for my entree. When I first heard about Biscuit Love's fried biscuits, I decided to experiment with frying my own biscuit dough that I serve at my restaurant, just to see how it would be. I just took a few scraps from when I was making biscuits for brunch one day and threw them in the deep fryer till they were golden brown and dusted them with powdered sugar. I thought they were okay but nothing to write home about. I figured that Biscuit Love must alter their biscuit dough a bit to make it more like a donut, and I was curious to try their version. Upon tasting my appetizer I was disappointed to discover that the Bonuts were in fact nothing more than biscuit dough dropped in the deep fryer. A great gimmick for luring in people who don't know any better, but certainly not as good as it sounds. The lemon mascarpone cream that they served them with was delicious. On to the entree. The East Nasty is a boneless fried chicken thigh on top of a biscuit with sausage gravy. I have heard that it is one of their most popular items. I really liked the chicken. It was juicy and delicious. Well done there! The gravy was broken and oozing grease, and though I thought it tasted good, it was more like chicken gravy or cream of chicken soup than sausage gravy. Too much thyme! If you want to make chicken gravy, then make chicken gravy. Otherwise it should taste like sausage with maybe a little sage. The biscuit was just awful. It was dense and flavorless. For a place that has biscuit in the name, I would expect much better. Cracker Barrel and KFC have better biscuits than Biscuit Love. It's enough to make a southern boy like myself weep. The service was very fast. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes even though they were pretty busy. I did not like the counter service set up, but that is personal preference.

This was my favorite meal on our entire trip to Nashville! I had the East Nasty and it was perfect in taste, portion size, price and I want another one right now!!! Hubby and I also shared the "bonuts" and they were fabulous. Ironically, my husband and the Princess dish (haha) and it was also just heaven on a plate. Staff was super nice, and it was good, cheap eats. Ambiance was lovely. GO!

This place was recommendation by a local. There's was a line. We had a group of about 7 people who staggered into this place at various stages. So we explained the situation and they were so accommodating. Long story short the gang did show up when we were about to order and they already had a table waiting for us. They had to stop taking the order for a bit because the kitchen was slammed. But after that food just came rushing out. We hardly had time to sit down. I had the Southern Benny with a Bloody. Oh, so good. I wasn't too sure about the home made pickle though. Couple of other people in our party go the same thing and substituted the Ham for Bacon (which I was not smart enough to do). But even though I don't even like Ham this was rally really good. Everyone loved the food. Orange Juice for the Mimosa was freshly squeezed and my friend it was delish. So the food/drinks excellent, the staff super friendly and the service awesome!! Love this place. Definitely coming back if I'm in the area again.

My husband and I came to Nashville on vacation. Before coming to Nashville we had looked up some restaurants for us to eat at. And this is one of the ones that came highly recommended. We looked it up on yelp and trip advisor saw some bad reviews and almost didn't go. We decided to try it anyway and we are so glad we did. We had the Denny and the Bonuts. And we were amazed!!! First bite of our biscuit with thinly sliced ham and sausage gravy was like a party in my mouth! The Bonuts are to die for. I will have to stop there again before leaving Nashville and buy some Bonuts to take home to my kids. You have got to add this place to your MUSt eat list. The staff was very awesome. They were very very helpful. The parking is tricky. We found the meter it takes credit cards. Takes all bills. But it won't give u change. I was ticked off bcz I paid $5 for $2 parking!!!! So pay with your credit card or exact change.

The long line out the door is 100% worth the wait! It looks intimidating but moves rather quickly. One of the best brunches I've ever had. The east nasty was incredible- the fried chicken was amazing. Also tried the bonuts which were just fantastic, a lemony and sweet explosion of goodness ! Prices were fair. All the staff was incredibly friendly and quick. Don't know why anyone would ever rate this anything below 5 stars ! If you're looking for a healthy breakfast this may not be the best option. However if you're looking to indulge in an amazing meal EAT HERE!!

I don't really understand the fascination with this place. It was okay as a food truck and is just okay as a restaurant. The food is decent, really and I probably would go back if a group wanted me to... but eh... My biggest complaint is the way it works. You stand in line instead of getting a table. The problem is the line was long and wrapped around awkwardly in the place. It was out of the way to go get drinks at the bar and I felt like I was pushing people around to get back to my wife in place. We were meeting friends who showed up 5-10 minutes after us, pushing us back in line. They stopped serving the line a few times until people began leaving tables, so we got in line to wait for our friends and a few groups showed up before they did, making it awkward since you can't really skip people in line.

  • Tim G.

The wait here was over an hour - not sure if it's quite worth that long of a wait. The Bonuts and the food was good. I got a biscuit sandwich and a drink. The prices are mid range - again, cool atmosphere, in the Gulch and good food. Nothing too GREAT that you have to go there and wait an hour to get it.

This place is delicious! The ham and bacon are to die for and the mimosa's are really tasty.

  • Irene M.

Wow! The menu was fantastic. Everything looked and sounded wonderful, it made it hard to decide what to order. Luckily we were with a large party, and we each sampled each others meals. Will definitely go back next time in Nashville. Inly downfall was they do not have seating for large parties.

  • Jane S.

My son ordered the Princess sandwich and black coffee. I got the Blacklock Hash and a decaf latte. We shared an order of bonuts. My son's review: "There is a lot better hot chicken in Nashville, but the biscuit was delicious. The coffee was great! I was quite happy with the bonuts." I found my Blacklock Hash to be just mediocre. It was not particularly tasty, but wasn't bad. My decaf latte was above average, but also not great. The bonuts were very good, but were served with a dollop of butter on top and into each bonut, which was too much butter and too concentrated, and there was not nearly enough of the fruit sauce served on the bottom of the plate. Service was very friendly and speedy. The restaurant was clean and fairly appealing.

    (3)
  • William B.

Yelp reviews definitely made this a must visit restaurant and it did not disappoint. The Bonuts were exquisite and like a parade of joyous emotions on the palate. We also had the steak and eggs along with grits and bacon. You will do yourself well to visit and fill your belly with a great breakfast, and while you're at it have a mimosa to finish off the meal.

Made my welcome to Nashville delicious. I stopped here passing through Nashville while moving from Colorado to Boston. This place and this city impressed me enough that a few weeks later I redirected our moving truck to head to Nashville. Greatest Decision ever. The biscuit here was a consistency that made you crave more. They should have mirrors at all the tables so you can remind yourself that more biscuits = more chins. I have a couple, no need to add... But really, the vibe is right, the food is right and it's worth the line we stood in down the sidewalk.

  • Jared G.

On a previous Yelpers suggestion had the East Nasty add an egg. Double shot Americano and juice. Fast friendly service. The juice was so sweet and fresh from the OJ juicer. I could live on that. Coffee was great but the East Nasty was amazing. Big biscuit that was buttery moist, the chicken was hot and juicy, the egg was cooked perfectly over easy with just a little yoke and the sausage gravy - well you know! May go back for lunch!!

    (5)
  • Jen R.

Worth every minute of the long wait!! Definitely try the bonuts (donuts with biscuit dough)! The bacon was a hearty thick strip with maple flavor. The best slice of bacon I've ever eaten!

    (5)
  • Erin L.

Great biscuits and the Cronic Bacon is incredible. However, the real reason to stand in line for 30 minutes to get in, is the Bonuts. I don't have words to describe how good they are. I want some now.

    (5)
  • Hannah W.

With as many selections as it has, it isn't incredibly diverse. Eggs, gravy, biscuits. I can't recall their dishes names, as they are rather bizarre, but their French toast equivalent is very good. Sweet berries add good flavor. Their orange juice is the freshest I've had from a restaurant! It's very refreshing after a classic hearty southern breakfast.

There is part of me that REALLY wishes yelp had a quarter point system... I would rate this place a 4.25 haha. I love the ambiance of this place AND love love LOVE the mimosas! I'm not even a mimosa lover but theirs are the best! Served in a huge goblet with fresh squeezed OJ and champaign on tap. The food was pretty good but didn't blow me away... I've had better biscuits to be honest. And I wish they had an omelette option on the menu. But any time I want to have brunch with the girls, this will be my choice , simply for the mimosas! Oh and one more thing, if there is a long line, remember that the bar is full service and first come first serve - so rush on up there!

Amazing Breakfast!! My boyfriend and I stopped after we moved back to Nashville, we kept hearing raving reviews about the place and we had to try it. He had a classic biscuit, bacon, eggs, and potato breakfast - it was off the charts! I had an amazing brussel sprout salad with egg whites and a homemade biscuit. I absolutely loved the brussels sprouts and the blackberry jam and apple butter was off the wall good. No wait.....it's slap your mama good!! Go get you some biscuits ya'll!

  • Ashley D.

Went here on Father's Day for brunch and we probably waited 30 minutes in line but it was worth the wait. They had a girl monitoring the door that morning (I didn't catch her name) and she was so friendly, willing to answer any questions we had, handed out menus to everyone standing outside and asked every person how their meal was as the left. I ordered the East Nasty, my boyfriend ordered the princess, my mom ordered the southern Benny and my dad ordered the blacklock hash. We also ordered the bonuts to share. We ate absolutely everything! It was so delicious. My mom would have licked her plate if it was socially acceptable. I would definitely come here again!

  • Ray Ray K.

I've tried this place twice. It's not great. It's also way overpriced. I mean $8-12 for a biscuit that isn't even that good? It is nice inside, but too trendy to be called a real "southern" spot. Save your money and head down 8th Ave to Sylvan Park Restaurant to get a real southern breakfast.

    (2)
  • Lauren E.

The East Nasty was on point!! The chicken was super crispy, smothered in peppery sausage gravy, all on top of a fluffy buttery biscuit! PURE BLISS and the perfect hangover cure after a honky tonk night. I highly recommend it!

We stopped here one morning after a few too many adult beverages the night before so I needed a little sumpin-sumpin in my belly. The biscuit French toast with marscapone is worth every penny and then some. I love Bloody Marys and this one was good but I couldn't finish it. Just too peppery for me. I will go back next time I'm in town. Gotta have that French toast biscuit again.

My friends and I recently road tripped to Nashville with finding delicious southern food on the top of our bucketlist. After reading some reviews on biscuit love, I had to try for myself. This place delighted me with one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in my life. I got the southern Benny & the Bonuts, I highly recommend both. The sausage gravy was amazing and the biscuits are homeade and are also fluffy and tasty. If you like sweet foods, the Bonuts are out of this world. Coated in tons of sugar with a lemon filling, they are delectable! I think Biscuit love should be an absolute must when in Nashville. The service was also impressingly fast. before we even seated ourselves, our food was being brought out to us. I will always remember this breakfast and will go down as one of my favorites!

  • D F.

Food is pretty good. I mean, it's biscuits, it's not complicated. They employ the order-at-the-counter method, which kind of sucks if you're dining with kids. You order then you go find your table, but you're still tipping at their proposed rates of 15% and up, which is what you tip for table service, typically. I'll leave it to the Gulchers and tourists - this is not a spot that caters to locals.

  • Dani W.

I visited this place on a Sunday for brunch. I wanted to try a new spot and I had biscuit love bookmarked. So why not try it? I was afraid the line would be crazy but when I got there around 1:15, it wasn't bad at all. I waited in line for about 30 minutes not realizing that I could've just sat at the bar and ordered there(I will do this next time). The hostess failed to mention this. I ordered the East Nasty and it was delicious. I wanted a mimosa but $9 was a bit much I thought. I will be back soon. Next time I will order the Princess and Bonuts. I only have 4 stars because the customer service wasn't up to par. They weren't all that friendly.

Heaven on a plate! We had the doughnuts , biscuits and gravy, and the shrimp and grits. Will make sure to stop in again next time we are in Nashville.

Definitely worth the wait! The line was long but moved pretty quick. Outdoor seating is very cute and comfy with a water fountain next door. Food and coffee was really good and excellent service!

This place was totally not worth the $20. Maybe I got the wrong plate but my food was so bland. It was not seasoned at all! Not worth the wait either. Only come to this place if you care about looking trendy and want to be part of the "Nashville Scene."

  • Sarah J.

Brunch Saturday at 9am. The line is out the door, you order at the counter then get a seat. Thought it would take forever but there were plenty of seats after I ordered and my food came out promptly. You can sit and order at the bar and bypass the line. Got the egg plate. Eggs were cooked to perfection. Grits OMG the best I have ever had. The biscuit are so flakey they will fall apart as you pick them up. I didn't get the meat but got fruit instead. I appreciate that they used high quality berries instead of the usual pineapple junk you get at most places. Fresh squeezed OJ and a cappuccino were both great.

  • Andrew C.

After having breakfast here I decided that I need to try everything on the menu. I got the Southern Benny which was great and my girlfriend got the Princess Biscuit. I had a hard time choosing between those two but luckily got to try both. Also if you come here you should not leave without getting an order of Bonuts. What's not to like about fried biscuit dough rolled in sugar? Also, the coffee was fantastic which is nice when a place does the small things right. I can't wait to try out more stuff from this place. Important tip! ***show up early and you won't have to wait. If you don't then the line can get pretty long, almost like pancake pantry.

  • Shiven G.

We were excited to see this new breakfast spot open in the gulch but were kind of disappointed after hearing so many great things. First of all, the ordering system is absolutely awful - patrons are required to order BEFORE they sit down near the entrance of the restaurant. This inevitably leads to a long line being formed outside the restaurant and insufficient time for choosing what you want. I'm not sure if the place still uses this system, but this is how it was when we ate here on a Sunday and it diminished the whole experience. (Luckily, we were able to sit at the bar which helped the "time to decide" factor. But, we still waited in the long line before being seated) Second, the food was just okay to above average. Our main entrees were okay - I had the SEC Benedict and my girlfriend had the fried chicken biscuit. We both asked for gravy on the side and were glad we did since a)it wasn't good and b)when we saw other people's food come out it literally looked like their food was covered in gravy vomit. (Beware!) The main redeeming factor to the meal were the cronuts. DO NOT LEAVE THIS PLACE without an order of the CRONUTS. Seriously. They were amazing, and helped me at least feel glad I went to this somewhat overhyped spot. Overall, Biscuit Love was just an okay brunch. Better spots are available, but it is worth a try.

Their menu is good but not a good place for vegans and someone who is conscious about oil intake.. Their best food is bonuts , but anything you order is gone be oily and very heavy on your tummy...

Delicious. Quite a line, but try & snag a seat at the bar area! The jam was amazing. & the little donut balls are heaven. Hard to be disappointed here :))

Every single menu item is amazingly delicious. The bonuts are to die for! The staff is friendly and helpful, the decor is rustic, southern, and inviting! It's also a great place for work team meetings and week day mornings aren't too busy.

I am bummed to report that my experience at Biscuit Love fell short of my expectations. The line was out the door when we arrived around 11am on Good Friday so I was eager to experience the hype for myself. We ended up sitting at the full service bar where I ordered a mimosa and watched the server fill a large wine glass 1/8th of the way filled with champagne and the rest of the glass to the brim with oj. If I'm paying for a mimosa...I want champagne with a splash of oj...not the other way around. I ordered the Princess and my husband ordered the southern Benny. The flavors of both our meals were fantastic but the biscuit left much to be desired and literally disintegrated before I could even get the fork to my mouth. That being said, the atmosphere was fun and I'm willing to try it again in the future.

I went here this past weekend with my girlfriends from out of town and they all loved it! The Bill Neal is my favorite but I tried the East Nasty this time because it recently received an award for best sandwich in the nation. It did not disappoint! The line was long but it moves quickly so don't let that scare you away. One of my favorite restaurants in Nashville!

  • Aileen S.

OMG. This place is amazing. The biscuits and gravy were to die for. The brussels sprout salad was great, as was the kale salad. The chronic bacon with the maple glaze and the ham sampler were so so good. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the sweet tea, which was way sweeter than anyplace I've ever tried it. YUM!!!!!!

As a Midwestern girl, the breakfast here is what I imagine southern cooking to be -- food was tasty and beautifully seasoned, biscuits were just the right mix of dense and fluffy, and the gravy flavorful. Service was fast and friendly ...all in all a great way to start a weekend in Nashville

I came here for a bachelorette party and we had brunch here. The food was phenomenal. The Bonuts were a perfect mixture of sweetness!!! I absolutely recommend this place. It felt so good coming from New York to here and meeting such nice and courteous people! Go there enjoy every inch of the goodies they have!

Friendly staff and great food. Couldn't decide between the Biscuits and Sausage Gravy or the Princess but talked the wife into the Princess and it was so big I got 1/2. Wish all of my plans worked out that way. They were both great choices.

Okay. One word: BONUTS. Get one for there and two to go. So yummy! Parking lot nearby on the same street/alley that gives you 1st hour free and 2nd hour $2. I had the East Nasty--soooooo good. If I lived here I would easy at Biscuit Love everyday. The biscuits, gravy, chicken combo of flavors just...too good for words. My husband got what I called a southern eggs benedict: the benny. Biscuit, thin sliced ham, egg, covered in gravy. ..he cleared that plate in two minutes.

I had the 2 egg breakfast with the bacon, cheese grits and biscuit. This dish was absolutely delicious and very flavorful. The biscuit is so good that I am taking them to go. Staff was really nice and the manager even came out to greet us.

The Bonuts were delicious! The Benny was amazing. If you enjoy a good biscuit you need to make this one of your stops. Lines are long but they go fast. The staff is very friendly. You order the food at a counter and they bring to your table. Very quick service!!

Wife and I always get a biscuit at the farmers market, and now they have a location in the Gulch to sit and have their awesome food. At one point I posted a review on the truck about having seating to stay warm, and they took that to he extreme. The décor and space is just right, and their menu is basically an upgraded one from their truck, albeit a bit more expensive. With their massive overhead, its expected. I would give it 5 stars for the food for sure just wish they didn't have to charge "the Gulch" prices!

The wife and I stopped by just before closing. The waitress was uber nice. The food was delivered super hot and fresh and was extra delicious. I honestly never thought food on a biscuit would be so good! If you are in the area you must try!

3.5 stars if that was possible. I'm torn on my review for this place. We were visiting Nashville and Biscuit Love came highly recommended. When we arrived the line was out the door, so we asked how long the wait would be prior to getting in line. The host told us "10 minutes, it moves really fast." We were in line--just The Outside Line--for 30 minutes (in 90+ degrees), plus another 10-15 minute line inside where they steer you through herd-of-cattle-style to place your order at the register. For a total of 45 mins waiting to order. (So perhaps we got started on the wrong foot here? Given we were told 10 minutes.) Then you find a table and wait some more. Maybe we had too high of expectations given the line and all the recommendations. And hangry at this point. But the food was just "good", not *fantastic* as implied. My dining companions both found the gravy too salty. Although everyone did enjoy the Bonuts, so if you go, definitely get some of these to make it worth it. There's no server for a table, per se, but the guy we flagged down was super friendly and happy to make other recommendations to try during our stay in town. Decor and atmosphere was cute. It also looked quite clean.

It's a good sign when the line to a restaurant curls down the street- it's even better when that line moves fast. So it was at Biscuit Love Brunch this morning. The food and setting was well worth the wait. Our party of four found a lovely table in the shade outside, and our orders were delivered quickly. The food was OUTSTANDING! From East Nasty to Lily, everything was DELICIOUS! Sad we live so far away - this would be a place to visit often.

  • Anita P.

Food is great but servers are pushy. I still had more than half my food left in the plate and servers came by twice to grab my plate. The second time the server picked up the plate off the table before even asking me if I was done. I went ahead and let him take my plate since his hands were already in the plate touching my food. They also make you tip ahead of sitting down.

Stopped in here this morning, looking for a breakfast spot in Nashville. My boyfriend and I both had the biscuits with sausage gravy, ham and egg. The gravy was delicious! However, we will say the ham was a little too salty. I could have just gotten the biscuits and gravy and been completely satisfied. I also had a latte and it was great. For a filling breakfast for around $25 for two, it was worth it. The outside patio was a nice touch.

I live right in The Gulch where BLB is located, and after a few months of hearing the chatter, I decided to try it out. I don't have too many complaints, but not totally sure what all the hype is about. I got there and was greeted by a kind lady and given a menu to look at while we waited in line, which usually is well out the door on a busy day. After deciding on The Princess I also ordered a coffee while waiting for my guest to order and decide as well. The total came out to be way more than it should have for two biscuit type meals and two coffees, and although the food was good, I was shocked that the biscuits, the MAIN reason why people come to this place, were VERY sub-par. It kind of resembled more of a loaf of bread consistency. The best biscuit I have had in Nashville is at a place known for its coffee, Barista Parlor. When people ask me where they could get a great biscuit, I send them to BP instead, because it's truly the better biscuit. Anyways, I understand this place is more versatile and offers more of a selection, too - happy they continue to do so well. It's a cool place, good to go if you're visiting, definitely not a place for regulars unless you don't mind expensive breakfasts.

My only complaint is the line but this is quite possibly the best breakfast spot in Nashville. I was torn between the Princess (hot chicken) and East Nasty (chicken with sausage gravy). The server suggested the Nasty Princess (hot chicken with sausage gravy) which is not on the menu. Holy moly, delicious!! Can't wait to go back!

A little too trendy for its own good. I get that everything's biscuits. But I don't think I want everything to be made with biscuits. I thought my biscuit was a bit too rich, a bit too dry, and a bit too salty. I wanted the French toast to be made with good bread, not a biscuit. And I wanted the "best bacon" that I'd read about to be more than overlooked thick cut bacon. It was all fine--except the Bonuts, which were worth the price of admission. Speaking of price, breakfast for two adults and two toddlers was almost $70. (Good thing it's an "order at the counter" place, or the tip would've made it even more expensive.) Yes, we had a mimosa and a small oj and a cup of coffee, but that's a bit too pricey for anything but a "meh" review. If you go, go for the Bonuts and save your wallet for a better, more traditional breakfast elsewhere.

Great brunch spot. Service was good, food was great and prices were good. You're supposed to order first before you grab a seat, but if you don't mind sitting at the bar (and if you're lucky enough to snag an open spot) it's full service so you can bypass the line. We had the hot chicken salad Sammie, east nasty, and some extra biscuits with tomato gravy. The gravy was like a chunky tomato cream soup which was nice to dip the biscuits in. Hot chicken salad was solid. Medium heat on a Hattie bs scale with a nice creamy mayo dressing and celery for crunch. Husband loved his east nasty. Apparently you can ask for the East Nasty Princess which is not on the menu but comes with hot chicken instead of the southern fried. Definitely coming back!

The food is excellent! Busy but they are efficient and quick!

I tried the biscuit french toast and I give it 3.5 stars for being unique and 3 stars for flavor. The biscuits just did not work well as french toast. The Bloody Mary was amazing. A little on the chunky side, but I don't mind. The line was very long. We skipped the line and grabbed a seat at the bar. Our server was friendly and efficient. Why the 3 stars: To be fair my friend and I do not eat pork, and it was hard (almost impossibble) to find a dish that did not have pork or some kind of pork product. The biscuits, I later found out, are also made with lard. When we asked if there were any pork alternatives available our server informed us that the owner was dead against it. I respect and appreciate the fact that I am in a Southern town and this is, after all, Biscuit Love - a Southern food joint. However, I am really over the predominance of pork and unavailability of alternatives at establishments in Nashville. If Nashville is really to become the foodie city it is already touted to be and restauranteers want to get on the map, they are going to need a little less of the same and a little more flexibility to accomdate patrons with minor dietary restrictions. Instead of turning biscuits into french toast, maybe try offering turkey sausage as an alternative to all the pork. I would come back for the Bloody Mary only if I did not have to wait in line. Overall: it is overrated.

I love this place. My girlfriend and I go here at least 2-3 times a month.I've really enjoyed everything I've ever tried here. Biscuit french toast is awesome. Never been in the morning, but if you go mid afternoon it isn't crowded at all.

Wow...wow!!! Amazing food! Served ridiculously fast by incredibly friendly and calm (in spite of major weekend rush) staff! What a find!!! (but don't tell anyone, the line will be around the corner but still worth the wait!)

The bonuts here were to die for! My husband ordered the Southern Benny and the ham literally melted in your mouth. I went for the biscuits and sausage gravy, which were delicious. The staff was so nice. The line is long but if you don't mind sitting at the bar then you can skip the line and get served much faster.

Went to Biscuit Love while in Nashville on vacation and loved it. Great breakfast food and the bonuts - SO GOOD! I told the owner we would love to see a Biscuit Love in Pittsburgh! I will definitely return if I find myself in Nashville again.

This place is the Straight UP BOMB DIGGITY BOMB! I had the sausage and gravy biscuits with Ham and it was a palette masterpiece, I had an epiphany while eating the ham. did I mention how freakin awesome the HAM was yet?!?!?!!!! Decor is hipster industrial with just the right atmosphere, plenty of young Nashville Swagsters in this joint. I just did my best SlingBlade impression for the cashier Mmmmmmm I like dem biscuits!

This place was fantastic!! We had our favorite biscuits and one of our favorite fried chicken meals here while staying in Nashville. We are from New Jersey so we decided to eat southern food every day while down there for a week, lol. The grits were very good as well. The manager was super kind and was stopping by all the tables to make sure everyone was doing all right great customer service also. I wish we had a biscuit love by us!

I travel a lot and I'm always looking for a great breakfast spot. I hate eating at the hotel. His is as good, original* breakfast joint as any. If you are visiting (or local even) I'm sure it will be a great experience and you'll enjoy the food. Living in the south, biscuits are not in short supply. Everyone has them. However, these were on point and very tasty. Very fresh. I ordered the southern Benny because, why not? The sausage gravy was a little sharper than most but was still good. The ham was super thin and hard to cut. This is the type of breakfast that should have a thicker piece of ham so you can taste it. On the Benny you pick how you want your eggs prepared. Naturally I closed poached. They came on the side and were watery (as in sitting in water in the dish). Pro tip: putting the poached eggs on the Benedict are little things raise you from 4 to 5 star (you're welcome, Biscuit Love). anywhooo, I'm probably being to critical. The food was served very fast (not busy on a weekday, so keep in mind). Service at the bar was very friendly if a bit slow. (Finished my meal before they even refilled my tea, and I had to ask) so that was lame but still gave a good tip because that's how i roll. Over all, the place was clean, food was good, and I enjoyed my meal. It's worth a try.

Definitely order some Bonuts. Loved the vegetarian grits & eggs. All food was tasty and we enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard.

Really great restaurant with great food and excellent service! We went here for Father's Day today. The line was pretty long but moved quickly. The staff was courteous and friendly. I got the vegetarian grits. Yum!! Cheese grits with tomato "gravy" that included sliced cherry tomatoes and had the best flavor. Then was topped with 2 eggs over medium and kale that also had a great flavor! The biscuits are good too! Would recommend trying biscuit love. The last there said they are opening one in Hillsboro Village soon too!

I'm going to make the trek from Donelson/Hermitage to The Gulch at least once a week to dine at Biscuit Love Brunch. Also, just a tip, the lot across the street and the parking garage have free parking for the first hour and even after that parking is only $2 for 2 hours!!! I have been in love with the culinary delights from Karl & Sarah Worley from the truck days. And I love that they are in The Gulch, because it is in a GREAT location and closer than the Franklin Farmer's Market! One note is that the sandwiches do not come with a side. But the biscuit sandwiches are pretty healthy so you will be comfortable after eating. If you do want more, may I suggest the Steak & Eggs ($14) or the Egg Plate ($10). The steak & eggs includes cheese grits (best I've ever had!), 2 eggs, a biscuit with housemade jam, and a perfectly cooked steak that was so tender I did not even need a steak knife. I added the Chronic Bacon on the side which was an extra $4. It might seem a bit spendy, but I do not feel disappointed. The dishes are well executed and are proportioned properly so that you feel comfortable when you leave and not uncomfortably stuffed. The biscuit was so flaky and buttery. It doesn't need any extra butter. I literally would take little pieces of the biscuit and dip it into the jam. The Chronic Bacon is sweet and crispy. If you are not a fan of sweet bacons, just get the regular bacon. The grits, which are stone ground, were so creamy and rich. The eggs needed a little salt and pepper (I had them scrambled). But other than that, none of my food needed any extra seasoning. We ended our meal adding an order of Bonuts which is a deep fried biscuit that looks like a donut hole's better half! It's stuffed with a lemon marscapone and covered with a blueberry compote. I love their coffee mugs which are handmade specifically for them. And their fresh squeezed orange juice is pretty awesome. They do have brunch cocktails as well as craft beer. And soon they will have grab & go pastries available. With the cheap and affordable parking options in The Gulch, there really is no reason to not visit. I'm not kidding when I say I am going to eat there at least once a week. And so should you!!!!

Strong 4 plus rating! Steak and eggs a deal. Deliciously tender steak with a chimichurri sauce. Are their biscuits worth the hype? 100% best yet and they are complimented fabulously with their homemade jam. Wouldn't order the cappuccino as it is too small and their regular mugs of coffee more substantial. Once again nashville comes thru!

Was excited to drive by and randomly notice Biscuit Love Truck now has a brick and mortar location. Get the Princess. Super spicy and good. Also, you apparently can get an East Nasty/Princess combo. Basically the Princess with gravy poured over it. I've had the East Nasty before and it's a bit much for me but does taste quite good. My coworker had a burger(served on a biscuit) and said it really hit the spot.

  • Marian C.

I had the buttermilk Biscuits and gravy with a side of kale that surprisingly complimented the flavor! I also got cheese grits. YUM! Came here with no expectations. Was very pleasantly surprised!! The decor is open, spacious, clean, and thoughtfully done. Beautiful bar and fun lighting. My friend got the biscuit french toast with lemon mascarpone, topped with blueberry compote. That was like fireworks in my mouth. Cannot wait to come back and try the bonuts and brussel sprout salad...or anything else on that menu!! It looks awesome :) Food is great! I hope that the quality is consistent when the place is busy. Went on a slow Tuesday morning. The staff was super friendly and the coffee mugs are soooo cute! Parking may be an issue. Until next time...

The most amazing breakfast I've had in years. 100% Home made food made with love. Fantastic service!! Totally worth the wait to get in. Served within 2 minutes after sitting at our table. The Biscuit Babes which is what they call themselves prepare over 1500 biscuits in the middle of the night so they are fresh and they don't run out. The Bonuts should be illegal. The crazy thing is, they started as a Food Truck. AMAZING!!

Only a matter of time before the droves of people turn their attention to a new fad. My hash was greasy beyond normal consumption standards. That being said I don't understand the fascination with this place either. I was utterly displeased.

Loved this restaurant!! The morning I went it was hot and very humid, so I was disappointed when I saw a line. I almost turned around. It was SO worth the wait and the pain. The line moves very quickly too. Their sausage gravy is delicious!! Their Bonuts which are fried biscuit dough filled with lemon mascarpone and sitting on blueberry compote...you can die of joy after eating these. I wish I had a Biscuit Love where I live...

A great way to start your day in Nashville. The place specializes in biscuits and does them really well. I had the Princess. It was was probably the best chicken biscuit I have ever had. There was a wait to order ~30 minutes in my case. It was well worth it.

Birthday breakfast on a rainy day, no line, no wait. Lovely greeting and warm friendly service, line up (when there is a line), order your food, take a number and find a seat. No kidding that southern benny is yummy - big enough to split with a side of chronic bacon. shaved ham, over medium eggs on a fluffy biscuit with the thickest sausagiest gravy ever, a side portion of kale and we would have been set. Lovely atmosphere where the servers are well mannered, cheerful and soothing, that's right - they glide quietly. give me a bloody mary and a mimosa to wash it down next time and it would be even more perfect. A very unexpected and welcome surprise. The clientele were mixed for the Gulch, and clearly mostly preferred brunch overa trip to the gym. One man even had a peg leg porker hat on, love it.

Really enjoyed this place. Situated in the cool Gulch area, it really hops on the weekend. Had a great Southern breakfast. Be prepared to wait for a bit at the usual high volume breakfast time, but they move you pretty quickly. Someone at the door will give you a menu to eyeball while you wait. You order and pay for everything at the counter, they give you a number for your table and a few minutes later they serve you. I got the Egg Plate. It was two eggs any way you want them ( perfectly done), two huge and thick slices of bacon (you can choose sausage too. The bacon was fantastic), a small portion of cheese grits (very yummy), a biscuit (like you can only get in the South...), and a little blackberry jam for 10 bucks. Wonderful way to start the day. I walked from downtown hotel. Glad I did to work off a little of the breakfast! Give it a try. You'll really like it!

I had the Lilly (biscuits with blueberry awesomeness) and Chronic Bacon. A new favorite place in Nashville for me. My food was awesome and all the food around me smelled and looked amazing. Staff is great also.

Oh. My. Gosh. Experience and food are 5 stars! Service is 10 stars. Great servers who know what they are doing and oh so friendly. Wish we had placed like this up north. Got the BONUTS. Game over right there. Amazing treats for breakfast. I got the East Nasty which is different for me being from the north, but oh so good! 5 star! My wife got the biscuits and gravy, as she does quite often for breakfast and she said 5 stars! Coming from a biscuit guru... You must come here if anywhere near Nashville. We leave tomorrow but will be stopping by before we do! Keep it up Nashville!

  • T.J. P.

Great biscuits, but good luck getting a refill on your coffee. And we were here early in the morning before the lines. Frustrating thing is you order and pay before you're served, so you end up tipping before you realize how terrible the table service is.

    (2)
  • Rachel C.

Amazing food! Worth the wait! If you can, get a seat at the bar to avoid the long line. We had the biscuits & sausage gravy with kale & the southern benny & the top it off the biscuit donuts. All to die for!

    (5)
  • Alexa S.

Very yummy, quaint and pretty on the inside. I would always rather be served than order at a counter, but there was no wait on a Monday afternoon, so that was nice. Had the Princess, the hot chicken was to die for, as was the biscuit and the honey was a nice touch. Enjoyed the lemonade too. Also added a side of potatoes, which were nothing to write home about, and were not very fresh. The only major complaint would be the prices and the hours, $32 for two topped biscuits, one side, and two drinks seems a bit steep, especially for Nashville. Would also be happier if they were open a bit later. Will return, next time for breakfast.

Perfect spot for a southern-inspired brunch and unique enough to stand out from the rest of Nashville's southern fare. Great quality and portion size! We waited in line for 20-30 minutes but it was definitely worth the wait.

Since we ate here every one of our 6 glorious days in the city of music, we can fully attest to our ultimate rating! Biscuit Love creates wonderful dishes with flawless ingredients & creative combos. We had shrimp & grits, the vegetarian grits w bacon & eggs & grits w biscuits. Ahhhh the biscuits...so flaky, tender & perfectly yummy w blueberry purée. Best of all is the warm & wonderful staff who uphold the Southern hospitality tradition with wit and panache. We LOOVE Biscuit Love. Don't even bother w any other place for anytime brunch! And buy a hat to spread the Love

I'm a couple of days late, but wanted to say it was AWESOME!! My daughter and I went in on Friday. I had The Princess and she had The East Nasty, and we loved both. The girls who were working were all friendly, and we had a great overall experience. It was a little pricey, considering our biscuits were A'la'cart. Otherwise.... FANTASTIC!!!

    (4)
  • Anne Marie F.

Biscuit Love Brunch is done really well. They have a well thought out menu with tons of choices. I got the Lilly which was FANTASTIC and completely better than I could have imagined. I highly recommend a side of sausage or chronic bacon to go with it. My boyfriend got the 2 egg plate and was happy, though his biscuit crumbled all over the place. It's really popular so plan to be in line for around an hour and if you have a smaller party you can sit at the bar for excellent service there!

    (4)
  • Catherine L.

I got the Princess. It was a perfect biscuit with "hot" chicken, honey, grainy mustRd, and homemade pickles. The chicken is a spicy, deep fried thigh. It couldn't have been better. The only sad thing was that they were out of "bonuts". I'll have to go back. It was worth the wait in line.

    (5)
  • Hailey P.

The Bonuts were amazing along with the east nasty, which was a massive sandwich! The only negative thing was that our food came out way before our drinks. Since you don't have a dedicated waiter or waitress, I am sure it's hard for them to notice those things because they just bring the food to your number.

I've been here a couple times now and it's great! The Lindstrom with the shaved brussel sprouts (with poached eggs on top) is pretty incredible -- and you might feel slightly less "guilty" because you're getting some good-healthy green veggies in your gut (before gorging on delicious flaky biscuits covered in jam and sinfully good fried sugary bonuts)!

  • Emily W.

This place is so charming. The decor and ambiance made for a very cute brunch spot. Really liked the Nashville sign, warm blue walls, and bench/bar seating options. Food came out very fast and staff was friendly and efficient. My friend and I both ordered the S.E.C breakfast sandwich and it was very filling and delicious. My other friend ordered the BLT and a coffee and was minorly disappointed with both. The tomato jam did not mesh well with the rest of the sandwich and her coffee tasted bitter and almost spicy. In a cute neighborhood with lots within walking distance. Would recommend to anyone in the area!!

Had my first visit yesterday around 2pm. Perfect timing as the place wasnt packed and there was plenty of seats. Server informed us that the line is usually very long and we picked a great time. I ordered the princess biscuit with a glass of champagne. My friend ordered the east nasty and a bloody mary. We split an order of bonuts. The food was really, really fresh. It was clear that quality is important. My food and drink total came close to $20, my friends close to $27 since she had the bonuts on her ticket. took one star for price because come on, $20 buck for a biscuit sandwich and glass of cheap bubbly?! But with that being said, I will be back. Service was top notch. Employee even offered to take our photo in front of the beautiful illuminated Nashville sign. Try it out!

  • Emily C.

Amazing! Go early, get bonuts and a mimosa and enjoy every bite. The Lily is also amazing. If the line is long look to see if there are seats at the bar. You can order from there and not have to stand in line. But if you do...it's definitely worth the wait

Best brunch in Nashville bar none. Try the bonuts for sure and spring for the ham sampler if you are feeling adventurous. :)

  • Dan J.

This was worth the wait outside in the heat! The bonuts were as good if not better than the hype about them. I also got the shrimp and grits (not sure what their name is) and it was delicious as well. If I had any suggestions, it would be to bring some water with you for the wait outside. And if you see any seats at the bar, grab them! It's first come, first serve at the bar. When I bring my sister to Nashville, we will be coming here for sure.

I've been a fan of Biscuit Love Truck since they hit the streets in the Spring of 2012. I was so excited to try their brick & mortar spot. Just like their truck, it will not disappoint. I had the Benny and it was delicious from the shaved country ham to the sausage gravy topped fried eggs. My husband had the Blacklock Hash; the potatoes were tender and the sausage amazing. Get a side of Chronic Bacon too. It's a sweet and spicy kick to start off your day! Karl& Sarah Worley have hit it out of the park!

I had been looking forward to coming here for months and it was so worth the wait! I brought my family here when they visited, my brother and I are in my twenties and my grandma is in her nineties and we all loved it! Yes, there is a line out the door and around the block (we came on a Saturday) but the line moves quickly and efficiently! So bring a good book/friend and the time will fly by. They also had water inside which is considerate on a hot day! You order at the counter, get a number and are seated at a table. The staff is SO helpful--like 5 different people were checking on us and they were all so sweet. The vibes/interior aesthetic are cool and fresh. AND OF COURSE THE FOOD. It's just so good. So so good. A must for breakfast lovers. Get the bonuts to share!! I sampled everything everyone got and it was all fantastic.

Pretty good food, but overpriced. I guess because of the location. A true southerner would not be impressed with the sausage gravy. The employees were very nice. Pretty surroundings.

some of the best fried chicken and gravy I've ever had. I also got an over easy egg on top which was fantastic addition. We got the biscuit donuts and they were soooo good. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Even the coffee was amazing! Don't bother going any place else for breakfast!

A few kinks to work out but very friendly service and good food. Loved the vegetarian grits. Biscuits good too. The ordering/serving/seating policy is a bit wonky but perhaps in time this will work itself out.

Delish-we ate here two days in a row. Our friends raved about the Egg Plate but we loved the Southern Benny, the Princess and the Nasty. The orange juice was the best tasting oj you could ever imagine. The owner spoke to us a few times and was friendly and talkative. The long lines are nothing to be afraid of-they move rather quickly. Cheers!

Yes yes and yes. I have been searching for biscuits like these for the last two years (when I was in New Orleans)! They are so good on their own, but combined with the gravy and eggs, this is a match made in Nashville.

  • Jennifer H.

Beautiful space and great food. The southern Benny was peeerfffecctt and everything that came out of the kitchen passing our table looked great. The coffee from Octane in ATL has amazing flavor, too! No line and no wait at 12pm on Monday afternoon but the line is always out the door on Sundays for brunch - understandably so.

Walked in while visiting from LA with zero idea what this place was about. Ordered the burger and received a plate with a biscuit with a burger inside. Thought, "this isn't going to be very good." Boy was I wrong... really tasty, really nicely seasoned and adorned. Wish I lived closer, because I'd be back if I did.

This place is fantastic! Fast, delicious, and an adorable atmosphere! The concept is that there are various sandwiches etc. that you can get on a biscuit! The biscuits are light and fluffy and clearly homemade. We started with the bonuts (like donuts, but made out of biscuit dough!) they are SO good and come with a great blueberry glaze. Definitely a must, even if you aren't there for breakfast. The SEC was a standard egg, cheese, and bacon sandwich. Very fresh and good. The hot chicken salad was inventive and amazing! Definitely unique and a twist on a few classic items. Biscuit Love is a great place to meet friends for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The Gulch is a great place to hang out and this restaurant is fantastic!

Delicious!!!! We ordered 5 dishes and lived each one of them. Got to enjoy eating outside. Meals weren't huge which allowed us to get a few different selections Definitely a place to try out for brunch!

We parked in the parking structure across the street for $2 and met a friend at 10am on a Friday at Biscuit Love and there was a line out the door. It went fast though and we ordered at the register and had a seat to wait for our food. We shared the bonuts, which are homemade donuts with a cream filling, hot and delicious. The prices weren't bad, food quality was really good and portions were plenty big. I like strong coffee, but theirs was a bit too strong and bitter, even after adding a lot of cream. I liked the bacon better than the sausage patties. Orange juice was perfect and fresh.

Had a horrid experience eating at this place this morning. The customer service was just terrible and made me feel really awful while there and after i left. After a missed flight early in AM i decided to stop in Biscuit "Love" to finally dine in at the place with the long lines that i never get to go to due to their hours (but i have had takeout from there). I was so excited walking in but that was where it all ended. I got there really early at 715am, just a little after opening. But the whole thing was A HUGE LETDOWN. From the start when the lady taking orders barely offered to help and dropped the water for me to carry on my own, as i had my hands full with luggage. She eventually saw my struggle and helped me outside to my seat. (The place was practically empty btw as it was so early) I sat outside eagerly anticipating my food and was served the coldest, hardest bacon and it looked unappealing. It was odd and quite embarassing to me that so early on in the day they would serve such food. Being a NYer, visiting Nashville and a woman of color i immediately felt strange, did they not care enough about me or their reputation, that they would serve me this terrible food, and the day had just begun? Was this their standard? I have had takeout from there and it didnt taste or look this bad? Was i given last nights takeout? Would they eat that? I was not checked on and i finally had to get up to tell one of the servers that the food was served cold and i needed hot food please. They brought another plate out which was hot, and clearly thats what should have come out first. But they left the old plate there. No one/manager came by to ask how the new plate was, just nothing, i sat for 15 mins before one server came to get the old plate. Still no question on how my meal was, no manager felt the need to come and check on a customer who had an issue with the food? I calmly asked for the manager. He came by and i really wanted to tell him this is a disgrace to your restaurant. Such awful attitudes, such poor service, such poor treatment, i felt humiliated, ignored and it just came across as discriminatory. What an awful way to make a person feel, in a place called Biscuit Love? I saw them check on other patrons but not me. The manager went and got my money back and apologized. And said he would like me to try them again, but Yelpers tell me would you go back to such a place. I couldnt even eat the food anymore, i was so so upset. Then when i walked out, not one of the servers who had served the bad food and ignored me said a word, no one said thanks for coming nothing. It was a long walk out of just feeling ugh. It was just an awful, awful experience. I had to share this as I know i will never eat here again and will not encourage anyone i know to do so. How can i trust the food there again when i know they do not give respect or consideration to every single customer who eats there esp at 7am when there was barely anyone in there, no lines? Shame on the servers who did that today. To be so dismissive and make someone feel bad while they came to eat and patronize your restaurant? And they usually request a tip up front and this is why i do not tip until after service and I was so ready to have a great breakfast and tip well and i was ready to take pictures and share on my instagram about finally eating there but sadly the SERVICE and food quite frankly (cold and hard food) were terrible. I had to write this review. Long Lines and patronage should never let you slack on treating your customers with respect and kindness and serving quality food. Please be courteous and professional and have high standards with food served for all customers so we don't feel discriminated against. The manager did apologize but everyone who works there should hear this and change accordingly. Just a bad experience!

I decided to wait until the "new brunch spot" rush slowed down before trying out Biscuit Love. It was delicious!!! Concept is cool, causal, & modern. Order when you walk in & pick your own seat after that. Plenty of people walking around to help guide you. I ordered the Gertie... what can I say? I love sweets!! I was NOT disappointed!! You need to try this place out! I can't wait to go back to try the East Nasty & The Backlash Hash. Great, now my mouth is watering!

Such a great breakfast! Biscuits, chronic bacon, hash, all of it was chronic in our opinion so yummy. We're driving across country and we had to try it. Was worth every penny!! Don't miss it!!

Good breakfast/ brunch. Didn't really like to wait in line to order but I guess that's how it is there. My friends all loved the bacon. I had eggs so they were good as everywhere.

I had talked about trying this place for about a month before we actually went on vacation, and then they were voted one of the top 50 new restaurants in the country by Bon Appetit magazine! Super excited to go now, right? WRONG! Their sweet tea was great and so were the bonuts (biscuit and donut mixture with lemon mascarpone and blueberry compote). Unfortunately, that's where all good things come to an end. I ordered the Lily, French toast biscuits, which were dry and had barely any flavor, no extra syrup served, so biscuits soaked up all the syrup before I even had it sitting in front of me. My sister ordered the sausage Benny, eggs benedict with sausage gravy and ham, which had eggs that were poached way too long. There was no creamy egg yolk, it was almost done to hard boil consistency. I saw two people send back their chicken and biscuit dish (not sure which one) in the 30 minutes my family was sitting there. My mom got good ol' biscuits and gravy which is something she said she'd eat, but not order again. I'm so terribly disappointed that we didn't care for this place. I would say just order bonuts at this place on your stop.

My hubby and I went there for a date day. The line was really long, but we decided to eat there anyway based on the reviews. I got a chicken dish that had gravy on it. It was good until I got 1/3 into it. The chicken was raw. (Red juice coming from it.) I asked one of the ladies walking around to have it cooked a little longer. She said sure, took my plate away, THEN came back to tell me that is just the way that they cook chicken. Last time I checked, that was a health hazard! No apologies or anything. She seemed upset that I would ask for it to be fully cooked. I would come back if someone would have said, "My apologies. Let me take care of that for you." There are too many good restaurants in Nashville to have to wait over 30 minutes in line and another 20 minutes for under cooked food. Date day = Ruined.

This place was just ok. I had the east nasty and the chicken was good but the gravy had no real flavor. I have had better gravy at whole foods that was vegetarian. I would try again but not get anything with gravy on it.

The experience at Biscuit Love was ok. The food and latte was average. Actually I thought their signature biscuit was salty. I had the egg plate with bacon. Just ok. Let's now do best thing- worst thing. Best thing was the orange juice, super fresh squeezed, spectacular. Worst thing was service. This is the main reason I won't return. You order you food up front at register, take a number, grab a table and then sit down. No one even tried to explain this to us, a customer had to. Then every time we needed something it was like we had to go back up from or find someone to help us. If you are used to having a specific waiter looking out for your needs, this place isn't for you. I could over look this if their was something special about their food. But there isn't.

Found them on yelp and stopped in for breakfast. It was nice, clean, fast, had great food, and had great customer service. Also, reasonable prices. We will be back and will recommend this place to friends. Loved it!

I was very excited to find Biscuit Love in the Gulch!!! The decor, the food and the service was great! They even had a $5 valet service that left water in the coaster of my car. I was very satisfied with it all and you won't be disappointed!!!

We all absolutely Love the food, love the atmosphere, and loved the service from everyone .... except for Ruby. She was very rude to us while we were heading in to sit at the bar. We were told by guests leaving your restaurant that there was open seating at the bar and you can just walk in so we started to go in and Ruby told us we can't and that we were disrespecting others. I said "I am so sorry we were not trying to disrespect anyone and would never cut in front of others but we were told it was open seating at the bar." She did not acknowledge us and turned away. We almost didn't come back but we are so glad we did bcuz we loved it! I love the the system to order food but the bar area is not clear.

I don't write reviews unless it's really good or really bad. I am happy to report that biscuit love was one of the best breakfasts that I have had other than grandmas homemade. The service was good the food outstanding and I would recommend to anyone in town to make this a priority. I suggest the Southern Benny wow! Oh and the doughnuts!

  • Jamie K.

I can't say enough good things about this place! I had the biscuits and gravy, my sister in law had the peanut butter/chocolate gravy biscuit. The food was wonderful and it was bustling- we went on a Friday morning around 9:30 and by 10 the place was packed. Definitely get there early! Dallas visitors loved it :)

  • Stephen C.

Outstanding! Have all sorts of food. I would advise to get there early or the line is out the door!

  • John D.

While the decor is pleasant and the attendant was very helpful, the food was below average. The lattes were milk heavy with very little coffee, and the gravy had too much sausage, and I like me some sausage. The Bonuts are worth every penny, however. I look forward to giving a second chance, but for now, this is a disappointment.

  • Josh M.

Had a great first experience a few weeks ago, so we brought some visitors from out of town there. It was a horrible experience. We waited over 1 and 1/2 hours in line. No explanation or apology, no acknowledgment, just ignored. Finally the line started moving and the tables were half empty, apparently the kitchen was busy (imagine that) and they just stopped taking orders. Don't know if they are set up to handle a busy crowd. Standing in line doesn't work here, they need to switch up their operation. If there is no line or you can wait it out, the food is good, but on this day it really turned us off.

Omg! Their biscuit version of French toast was one one the best things I've ever eaten! Service was great too!

I feel like the people who have given this place 5 star ratings have never been to Loveless Cafe. The food at Biscuit Love is what I would classify as good. Well-prepared and seasoned, good portion sizes and definitely what you would expect from a southern brunch destination. On a recent visit, I had the SEC and loved the smoked sausage patty on the biscuit. My husband had the Egg Plate and thought it was ok but he wasn't raving. Mainly we were both let down by the biscuits. If the word "biscuit" is in the name of your establishment then your biscuits better be something special. But when we compare the biscuits at Biscuit Love to Loveless Cafe, there is just no contest. Loveless beats them every day of the week hands down. And the line at Biscuit Love on the weekends is just as insane as Loveless. So, if you are willing to stand in line for an hour for awesome biscuits, do yourself a favor and drive out to Loveless Cafe. Same long line, better biscuits.

Bonuts!!! The deep fried biscuit dough covered in sugar with blueberry compote and lemon frosting!! DELICIOUS! The 4stars was only because I was having a stomach issue and couldn't enjoy my food!! Absolute wonderful place

Cool looking place but didn't live up to its appearance. Ordering was confusing (you order at the counter) then they give you a number for your table. Coffee was lukewarm and not very good. It's a biscuit place so I got the biscuit French toast with mascarpone cream and blueberry sauce. I expected a little more than a dollop of mascarpone as it was a big part of the description. My husbands hash & eggs was way to greasy and really not edible. Our breakfast was $26 + tip. We won't be doing that again.

I had seen Biscuit Love passing through the Gulch and it was also featured on TN Crossroads. I enjoyed my experience there for sure. I like the order-at-counter set up. The place was fully staffed for sure. This was a Friday morning (same day I am posting this). I had steak and eggs and I certainly cannot complain about the taste of the food. I tend to lean towards the local diner, greasy spoon type places where the portions are a little larger. I think my meal came with two scrambled eggs. Not exactly large portions. But the quality was very high as was the taste, so no huge complaints there. The restaurant was very clean and we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. That is HUGE and I hope they continue that practice. It sure beats a couple of 22 y/o girls at a hostess stand staring blankly at you upon arrival (this seems to be common in Nashville). My only real complaint is that once you sit down it had the feeling of "okay now you're on your own." I had to flag someone down to get a refill on coffee. If you're a breakfast place you pretty much have to have someone monitoring the coffee situation of your patrons. If I have to flag someone down and they seem surprised that I am asking, you're kind of missing the point of a comfortable breakfast. But other than that, I enjoyed it and will likely be back. Breakfast for two after tip: $40. Not bad at all.

How did I not review this place?!! It's been a few weeks and I can't stop thinking about the bonuts!! No, I didn't misspell donuts. The wait staff was so kind and really knew about all of the menu items. I was so glad there were four of us in my party. We all ordered something different and shared. I plan to go back to Nashville just to eat here again. I LOVE Biscuit Love.

    (5)
  • Chris B.

Overall I thought it was good. I'm not sure if they have lost some their mojo after the publicity of being on Unique Eats and on Thrillist. I'm not sure If my expectations were to high but I was hoping for something great. The atmosphere was nice. There was about an hour wait which is to expected for Sunday brunch. I had the East Nasty but my favorite thing about the meal was the biscuit and gravy. I would have been just as happy without the boneless fried chicken thigh. My dad had the Southern Benny which he though was good. One thing to note is that the food wasn't hot or cold it was north side of room temperature which was the reason for the four stars instead of five.

First visit today for lunch. I think they may still need a little time to work out the kinks, but I plan to try them again...and you should too! Food was good and atmosphere is urban but still warm and comfortable. Pros: Excellent decor, ample seating, (mostly) friendly staff Interesting menu options Owner/manager (?) was friendly in providing me a tea refill Free parking for an hour across the street (Minor) Cons: Prices seem a little high...the BCBLT (blt on biscuit, no sides) plus tea and tax was $11.50ish. While it appears very clean at first, needs a little more thorough cleaning. Questionable stains/dirt on the women's restroom stall door and I also noticed a small bug on the floor. I'm sure the bug wandered in from outside, however. Still not ideal to notice while eating. Only other issue was that I sat alone at a table for four as I thought two friends were joining me after I ordered (but their plans changed) and I noticed one staff member point and say something to another, presumably about how I was taking a 4 top as a party of one. I couldn't hear what she said and it's not a big deal, but I felt pretty awkward for the remainder of lunch.

Prices were reasonable for eating in the city. The foods was delicious. Maybe my grandmother makes scratch biscuits better but these were pretty good and filed the bill. The staff was very nice and the manager took extra care of us after we shared or road trip story. Be sure to try some bonuts!

I went here on Saturday when it was one of the few places braving the weather. My friend ordered the sausage and biscuits. She really enjoyed hers. We started with the biscuit doughnuts and those were delightful. A great precursor to the meal! The thing which I was most disappointed in was the Bloody Mary. I am all for fresh, but it was essentially gazpacho. It was thick and hard to even drink through the straw provided us. The flavor was alright. Both my friend and I left our drinks. You are probably better off getting the Mimosa. The Orange Juice looked like the winner as far as drink options.

  • Maria S.

I really appreciated going to Biscuit Love! I went alone and felt fine going by myself. The orange juice is so good. The biscuit was really good as well. I liked the gravy. It was a nice place to eat breakfast on a rainy morning. I thought it was a pinch pricey but given its location, it was okay. They sell some cool items as well. I bought some grits!

  • Jocelyn F.

Owner was really sweet and came over to our table to see how everything was. Awesome food-and try the Bonuts!

    (5)
  • Leigh Ann F.

Super cool restaurant located in a very clean and trendy part of town. Had the bonuts--oh man :) so good. That could have been enough but being a foodie I also had the veggie grits with poached eggs. Loved it all. No wait easy ordering and fantastic service.

  • Anna J.

Tried out this place on Sunday, and it was pretty good. I had the egg plate, it had cheesy grits, two thick cut bacon, two eggs, and a biscuit with jam. I have to say the biscuit is delicious. It was much more flaky and crunchy than soft, but very good nonetheless. The strawberry jam was delicious, but it was a bit too runny and dripped everywhere. Cheesy grits was great but this entire plate was full of heavy stuff that I just could not finish them. The best part about this brunch was the fresh oj mimosas! At $9 bucks a glass, it was pretty expensive, however, they do give you a huge glass. The decor of this place is awesome, the huge NASHVILLE sign is so cool! The line can be long, but moves pretty quickly, or you can sit at the bar. Service was prompt and friendly. No free parking, but it's the gulch, figures. Also, this place is behind bar louie, a little hidden, took me a second loop around to spot it.

  • Abi P.

Loved my BCBLT and I can't wait to come back! Plus I got to talk to the owner Sarah and she was so nice. I'm glad this spot has finally been filled by a great restaurant!

  • Dagan B.

The only reason I dont give this a 5 is price. Was the food delicious ? yes. I got the Bill Neal and the shrimp and grits with bacon was really good. Here is the thing ... it wasnt a big plate it was a little bowl. Yeah Yeah quality over quantity. I get that and its not a matter of affording it. Its just not much... you want to be full after you eat. Anyway, the staff is friendly and the place is nice so no complaints besides the one.

  • Emily J.

Came here on a recent trip - aborted mission the first time as the line snaked out the door and down the street, but we came a little earlier the next day and nailed it. At first I thought they had some serious efficiency problems as there was only one cashier and he was taking his sweet, sweet time chatting with people and ringing up orders. However, once we sat down and our food arrived almost instantaneously, I realized that it was by design. You will spend your time waiting in line, but once you are through there were plenty of tables and the food was FAST. I think they keep the line moving at the same pace the kitchen can accommodate, which means no standing around for a table or waiting 30 minutes for food once you've ordered. I actually thought this was very clever for this type of restaurant. The food was DELISH. I had the Princess and it was perfection. My friend had the vegetarian grits option and she said it was also great. Latte was nice and OJ was fresh squeezed and very tasty. Table service is a bit spotty since you don't have a designated waiter - one guy spaced the butter I asked for, but another gal brought it right away. Overall, they seem to be on point with their operations and work flow, which I always notice and appreciate.

Fantastic and a great morning-after meal following a libation-filled evening. The biscuits are sooo good and if you love pork, the sausage, bacon and ham, they do it right! Just get there early as the line will be out the door!

  • Norra T.

So good! The brunch is delicious. Went there this past Saturday around noon. Line wasn't terrible inside maybe 15 people were ahead of us. They were out of every alcoholic drink except for bloody marys and mimosas unfortunately. Fiance and I ordered the Blacklock Hash and Steak and Eggs. Both were delicious! Cheese grits were so good. Jam and Biscuit were amazing. I will be going back for more of that. We will definitely go back.

    (5)
  • Amin S.

The princess is amazing. The biscuit is buttery and the pickles and mustard perfectly complement the hot chicken. The batter isn't the typical southern fried chicken but is more like an Asian style chicken finger batter.

    (5)
  • whitney D.

Waiting over 30 minutes in line was actually worth it because the food came out right away and was delicious! I'm also a coffee snob and their latte was legit! The fried chicken and biscuits were the best I've ever had. My only complaint is that there was no changing table in the bathroom but they did have high chairs so maybe they can add one since they did just open. I've told everyone i know to check this place out and I'm trying to figure out when I can get back there...maybe on a week day to avoid the long line.

I went for a walk today and stopped at Biscuit Love for the first time, for lunch. I had the classic burger and while burger on a biscuit thing is an interesting concept, after all I love burgers and I love biscuits, it's not something I would do on a regular basis. The biscuit would have been better if it was warm, it seemed like a morning leftover, and the whole thing fell apart after a couple bites but the tomato spread was really good. It is also really over priced for what you get especially since there were no sides. The décor was cool and the staff was very friendly, that alone is enough to make come back, but I think I'll limit my future visits to breakfast items...after all it is a biscuit place.

    (3)
  • Daniel S.

The food at Biscuit Love Brunch was very good. They have some classic brunch/breakfast items with just enough of a twist to make it unique. The place is very busy right now and it seems like it will take some time for them to work out their staffing and logistics, but once they get everything going it will be a new go-to for brunch lovers.

This place is great. At most places on the weekend, you'll be waiting for at least an hour to sit down, but at Biscuit Love, we've never had to wait since there is plenty of seating. It is a fast casual, meaning you order at the counter and take a number to your table. The food always comes out super fast, too. I get the Hot Chicken Biscuit (I think it's called The Princess). It is SO good. The coffee is always hot and fresh too. Highly recommended!

I had the SEC. The sandwich was great and if you don't mind the biscuit crumbly texture you will love it. Also you should definitely get the Bonuts they're very good

Went here with family for a nice brunch in downtown nashville. The menu lives up to the name with delicious biscuits included in every entrée. I got the Princess- Nashville Hot Chicken and biscuit. The chicken moist and tender with a nice kick! The only negative was the menu had items that were not available yet (eg. Palmers Lemonade drink). I would recommend this place to a friend.

Love this place. Very hip decor and feel to it. Food was great and fast. We were in and out in 50 minutes on a Saturday morning. My only complaint would be the size of the coffees. For $4.00 I would like to see bigger cups like the ones in Fido. These are really small. Other than that it's great. Get the French Toast Biscuit! Will come back!

Visiting Nashville for a concert and tried this biscuit love brunch! Restaurant looks really new, food was very good. They have a simple menu which states they are using locally grown items. Yay! We would go back for sure! Found parking across the street.

great food and service. only one item on the menu that's wheat free (the hash), but it was an excellent meal. we actually returned the next day to eat here again, but the wait was absolutely insane, even at the relatively early time of 9 am. that being said, obviously a great place with really high quality ingredients.

We ( me , my husband and a few friends ) visited Biscuit love during our weekend trip to Nashville . What can I say about this place .. Fabulous ambience , delicious food and fantastic vibe ! I could drive back to Nashville just to eat here . Their fresh orange juice is as fresh it can get . The ham platter is outstanding , with some wonderful collection of different prosciutto . Everything on the menu is a must try . The gravy with the biscuit is very different and has a great twit to it . I did tell the owner to open up a branch In Cincinnati :) cannot wait to head back here !!

We went last Sunday as they just opened. The place was packed with a long line to order but moved much faster than anticipated. Very cool decor and concept, a much needed new brunch spot as all the good places are so busy these days for brunch that we can't even get into some of our favorite spots most Sundays. Staff was very friendly and attentive, actually very surprising for a new place. Food and drinks were very good, biscuits were delicious!!! Great new addition to the gulch.

    (5)
  • Grace O.

Everything was DELICIOUS!!! Cheese grits- the only thing that needs help. Looking around at other tables- doesn't seem to be a popular item with those who order, as shown by the barely touched bowls.

  • Emily S.

Grab a Bloody Mary or Mimosa from the bar to ease the wait in line, and expect good things. Most definitely start with the 'bonuts'- perfect little biscuit donuts with lemon and blueberry fancy sauce. gosh. My southern benny was good, but the fried chicken on my boyfriend's plate was stellar. While eating fattening gravy-soaked foods usually tastes pretty good, this place makes it SO worth it.

    (4)
  • Joseph D.

Had the Southern Benny and it was okay. The $10 price tag was about right, but probably will not be having that dish again. The line was long and upon arriving at the register after 25 minutes I heard the manager tell the lady at the cash register to "slow it down". A little odd if you ask me, but at that point it only influenced the people behind me. Anyway, I will probably go back and try something else to see if my luck changes.

  • Blank L.

This place is great. The long-ish line moved quickly and efficiently. And our food arrived promptly. My boyfriend and I shared two dishes - one was an egg plate and the other was the biscuit french toast. Both were delicious and I can't wait to go back!

  • Krissi W.

I dined here early on Sunday morning around 8:30a.m. and we were able to avoid long lines that were starting as we left. I ordered the Lily (biscuit french toast). The biscuits were more dense than previous biscuits I have had. They were buttery, and the marscapone cheese and blueberry topping was sweet but not to sweet. My husband really liked the design of the coffee cup which had a thumb rest which I had never seen before. He ordered the princess which he said was a medium hot chicken level and perfectly cooked. The prices were reasonable considering the location, etc.

Very tasty. I had the SEC and enjoyed it very much. I also ordered a side of cheese grits. They were thick and cheesy. Yum!

Our favorite breakfast place. Service is awesome, so warm and super kid-friendly as well. We've never ordered anything we didn't love. The East Nasty is definitely where it's at. Coffee and atmosphere are great as well.

  • Staci S.

When you go here just know that my review is based on the flakey buttery biscuit. It's perfection. The homemade peach and strawberry jams are amazing. I wasn't a fan of the ordering at the counter and then finding seats in such a cute establishment. I think it makes for inaccurate orders being put in for some reason. I asked for my eggs over medium with my veggie and grits meal and they were the runniest over easy eggs I've ever had in my life. It was low key disgusting. I still ate it because I just didn't feel like waiting for another order but I would have really enjoyed the bed of cheese grits with the tomato gravy and topped with the tangy kale salad with out all that egg yolk. Other than those eggs it was really tasty. My sister ordered her eggs over hard and her eggs were bursting with yolk too. She got hers remade. Please get a new egg cook or check the accuracy of your ordering system because had those biscuits not been the best biscuits I've probably ever had in my life I would've been beyond pissed at my dining choice. Our server was nice and friendly and reminded me of Lena Dunham. She even brought us out a taste of the angel biscuit in an effort to make up for that wack egg cook. If you live in the area I encourage you to go try that first biscuit. Yummy!!

    (4)
  • Megan M.

The atmosphere is very nice and quiet. I ate the East Nasty and it was delicious. The fried chicken had a great batter and the gravy was perfect. I've had better biscuits but it was good enough. My biggest recommendation is to splurge on the bonuts. They are incredible. Would definitely go back.

Its worth the trip for the Biscuit Donuts with Lemon Mascarpone and blueberry compote. Better than any cronut I have had. Warm and welcoming staff!

  • Emily B.

Worth the wait! They have fine casual down to a science! The food was as good as everyone says (I had the princess and Chris has the southern Benny which was amazing). But what really impressed me is how they were able to provide really amazing service in this "order at the counter" casual environment. Carl was friendly, hospitable, and was able to make us feel like we had our own dedicated server even though it was the busiest time of the week (Sunday brunch). Would go back against and again!!!

This place was amazing!!!! The biscuits and gravy were stellar! The service...let me just talk about the service!!!! They checked on us a ton, cleared plates away, refilled coffee..all of this was great BUT the icing on top was when I went up front to get change to put in my parking meter, a gentleman that worked there offered to go put it in the meter for me..he noticed that I had my 7 month old baby and it was cold outside!!! Turns out he was the owner. I was always taught that you lead by example and he definitely went above and beyond!! I'm sold on this restaurant forever!!!

I've been eating biscuits all my life but didn't really understand how a restaurant could specialize in biscuits. Then, driving through downtown Nashville one day at lunchtime, I was in the mood for "something different" - that feeling that comes over me when I realize that every restaurant has the exact same menu items and those foods are also the ones that I cook at home. I rememebered hearing that Biscuit Love (a food truck business that I saw on TV a few years back) had opened a restaurant in the Gulch area. When I looked at the menu, I was a little disappointed. I couldn't imagine a burger on a biscuit appealing to me. I ordered the Wash Park - burger with pimento cheese and bacon jam on a biscuit. I was totally prepared to not like it. WRONG! It was fabulous - the best thing I've tasted in a long time! I can't say I was impressed with presentation - it was just sitting in the middle of the plate without any side or garnish to "pretty it up" or make it look apppealing. The fact was that it didn't need anything. It was just delicous. To top off the meal, I had Bonuts - fried biscuit dough stuffed with lemon mascarpone sitting on a perfect blueberry compote. Like the sandwich (it was so unique I hesitate to even call it that), the Bonuts were a delightful surprise - light, sweet and just perfect. To compliment the great food was the great service. No fewer than three servers came by the table to ask if everything was ok and if they could get us anything else. I left the restaurant knowing that I had found that illusive thing - something different - and it was absolutely delicious.

This place is great! Food is so good. I went on a Wednesday morning and there wasn't a lot of people. Parking sucks but I guess you gotta get use to that with Nashville growing so much. I will be back!

Stopped in before returning to NJ. The staff was warm & friendly; the decor was nice and inviting. We ordered the East Nasty which was really good! The Cheese grits were great!! The side of potatoes could have better as they were really oily but hey can't except too much in that department! The freshly squeezed orange juice was also great!

Get the orange juice. Large. You will understand after taking a sip. Fresh and Natural. Now about the food. Blacklock Hash. Very tasty. Onions and great tasting sausage. With an egg on top served in small iron skillet. I've gotten it two times and each time it was served different, which is the reason for the 4/5. A little off standard. The first time, chunks of sausage, where the 2nd time it was such small pieces you couldn't get the full taste. It was also a tad greasy the 2nd time, and during the week so there was no rush in kitchen from patrons in dining room. Either way, expect to wait on the weekend. Get there early. They open at 7am.We went during the week @ 9 am. and was shocked at how many ppl were there. Its good stuff. The coffee is a darker roast, which was fine for me, but not for those seated next to us. They asked us if we liked the coffee, and I drink Dunkin Donuts at home, so it was a little darker, but...very good. So, that is just FYI. Great atmosphere and service is excellent.

Overall the food was great and the atmosphere was also. Regrettably, the hostess (Ruby) treated us with great disrespect! People working in the restaurant were telling us we could use the bar because it was open. But as we proceeded to the bar, "Ruby" made a scene in front of the other patrons by calling us disrespectful and not thinking of others...Hello, we went to the bar because your co-workers recognized it was available and encouraged us to step on up! Maybe if Ruby had been doing her job the bar would have been full and there wouldn't have been the need for us to follow her coworkers directions. Bottom line is that they have only been open 8 weeks and while the food is great, it just takes one person to ruin their reputation for service. We will certainly make sure Ruby's not working IF we go back!

I got the best steak end eggs I've had. Service was great and the whole place had a good vibe. Nice work.

Great looking facility. One hour free parking across the street a big plus. Wait staff-outstanding. African coffee- hmm, not my cup of tea(pun intended.) Then the food came! The Benny I ordered was actually cold to the touch. Cold gravy on cold biscuits-not much to like about that. The ham was "interesting" but you need a steak knife to cut it. My wife ordered the "Biscuits and Sausage Gravy." The fresh kale that came with her dish was the best part of our two meals. We visit Nashville several times a year and are still on the hunt for biscuits "like mom used to make." Our travels have made us think that biscuits, like bar-b-que, are a regional taste kind of thing. The wait staff offered to reheat or remake our dishes. We appreciated the effort.

Great service with a friendly staff. Great food- biscuits and gravy were awesome with a kale side salad! The coffee is good and latte was done right if you like it strong. I would definitely recommend to a friend. I especially appreciate the biscuits. They are not dry!

Some seriously good food. We went during the week so it was easy in and finding a spot to sit. We sampled a few items from the menu and everything was great. The owner, Carl, stopped by our table and took the time to talk about the food and where it is sourced. Easy to tell that he loves what he does and it shows in the food. Highly recommend this place.

This place is really good. You won't be let down. And yes, their biscuits are great. Would be nice if it was sit down service, but that's alright. The place is nice looking. The food can be pretty heavy though. Their sausage gravy is more like gravy sausage. So much sausage. It gets a little rich after a few bites. I wish they had sawmill gravy without sausage. It's less of a complaint, and more of a personal preference. I won't hesitate to come back here over and over again.
