If you don't plan to have sex and love to get up early when you are on vacation, definitely request the Vanderbilt room at linden bed and breakfast. My girlfriend booked the linden and we arrived to find out our room was in the middle of the house, next to the dining room and right in the center of everything. Highlights of this room are that you can hear everything that's going on in the house and, of course, everyone can hear what you are doing too. - not exactly what we had hoped for during our vacation. After one night in the Vanderbilt room, we told the innkeeper we planned to switch to the Hutton or something similar so that we could enjoy our trip and she suggested we move to the Queen Anne room downstairs (not listed on their website, btw). We gave it a shot and it worked out great. Nice, quiet and private. Note 1 - Don't get stuck in the Vanderbilt room. If you ask me, this should be made into a library or something because it's just plain rude to have people pay to stay in this room since it's so noisy. - and to boot, they charge the same rate for all the rooms in the house. - At a minimum, they should offer this room up as a last resort with a steep discount and apologies. Note 2 - if you do get stuck in the vanderbilt and need some private time, turn up the tv,run the shower and/or use a blow dryer. - we tried all of those and it can be done. :) God knows what the rest of the guests at the linden heard though. - Sorry folks. Note 3 - we were told this B&B was walking distance from downtown and I guess it is... But only if you want spend a good portion of the day walking and are willing to risk your life doing it since there aren't a lot of sidewalks. - we made the reservation with Catherine, the owner, and needless to say we didn't trust much that she said after we arrived. On a whim, we decided to rent a car and if we hadn't done that we would have been stuck. - she really needs to be a little more honest with guests instead of telling them what they want to hear to fill the house up. Note 4 - the innkeeper during our stay was a sweet lady named Kim. - she worked for Amy Grant and Vince Gill before taking this job so ask her about that if you want some good stories. - pretty cool lady and she makes an awesome breakfast. Note 5 - speaking of breakfast, they have a strict policy of not serving after nine am so if you like to sleep in a little plan on getting breakfast on your own. - this made no sense to us. Note 6 - the B&B is located in a pretty nice section of Nashville called South 12th and it has a few nice shops and a really nice, big park if you walk far enough. Definitely worth taking a little stroll. Rent a car if you really want to get out and explore Nashville, You'll need it! All in all, I would consider staying at the linden again but their lack of flexibility on breakfast, noisy rooms, etc. probably takes them out of the running for future visits to Nashville.

My husband and I loved staying here!! Be sure to have beers and/or dinner at nearby 12 south!

My husband and I stayed here while in town for a conference and had a great time. We stayed in the new "Carriage House" which is separate from the main house and offers a lot of privacy. Peigi cooked us an amazing breakfast every morning along with very strong coffee! It's also located walking distance from quite a few restaurants and a quick 5 minute drive to downtown. I would recommend this for anyone that wants to be close to downtown but not right in it. It's definitely a B&B so if you like big hotels/chains it's not the place for you. For us it was a perfect place to stay!

My wife and I honeymooned to Nashville, and stayed at Linden Manor. It was so much better than staying at some cold hotel. The staff were so sweet and helpful. Never intruding, but always attentive. The place was a classic B&B. It had a lot of antique character, but was in good shape. The location was fantastic as well! Everyone visiting Nashville should consider ensuring a little down-home family charm into the experience, and stay at Linden Manor.

My wife, daughter and I stayed in the carriage house room. If you want privacy this is definitely the room to choose. The studio style room was new with beautiful floors, a kitchen, full size washer and dryer, nice tile work in the bathroom and filled with antique refinished furniture that was tastefully done. The king bed was very comfortable. The innkeeper Peigy prepared a delicious breakfast to order including her version of eggs benedict which were delicious. She also had fresh baked cookies for us in the room. These are the reasons I only gave it three stars: - Although the bathroom was beautiful and they went to a lot of work and attention to detail, the shower curtain was hung too low therefore spilled onto the floor of the tub and had pink mold along the bottom of it. - Peigy went out of her way to bring us half and half for our coffee however the room did not have any coffee cups to pour coffee into. - The universal remote for the television was unable to switch the input on the Vizio tv in order for the cable to come through. We returned to our room after 11 p.m. the night we stayed so I did not want to bother Peigy that late at night. - After taxes, the price of the room ended up being about $285. Although it was a nice place to stay, it was definitely overpriced.

Fabulous B & B!!! We came here to visit Belmont University with our daughter and Catherine & Tom were an absolute joy to be with. They know all the good spots to hit while in town. Our stay was magnificent, other guests were equally as impressed. Would definitely recommend this place and will return. Montana travelers from little town of Big Timber!

This B&B is located in a nice area of Nashville near the Vanderbilt campus. I have to imagine that it's the best option for parents visiting their kids at Vanderbilt... not sure why it's not on yelp! yet. Maybe it's a secret that I am blowing here.. oops. There is tons of street parking around the house, as it is located in a quiet neighborhood, so don't come here for a party :) It's a nice place to relax and chill and feel like you are experiencing Nasvhille (rather than staying in a chain hotel). Unfortunately Catherine & Tom were out of town the weekend that we stayed here, but they had another girl taking care of us that did an amazing job. She was super friendly and helpful and made sure that our stay was comfortable. We stayed in the Belmont room. Loved the Gilchrist & Soames shampoo and conditioner and the daily chocolate chip cookies placed next to our bedside. We were up and and out the door really early every morning (like 5 am) so we only had the breakfast once, which was a delicious blueberry belgian waffle. On the mornings that we left early, she packed us to go containers with fruit. Lots of channels on cable. It's definitely not as "hokey" as it looks on the website. Highly recommend!

We stayed three nights at Linden Manor B&B last week for our honeymoon trip to Nashville. My new wife and I are blown away by how nice, friendly, and accommodating everyone was. We opted to stay in the newly renovated "Carriage House" on the property. Calling it a "Room" doesn't do it justice. This sits detached from the main house above the garage. It's basically a little apartment with full kitchen. Very private and comfortable. In fact, the owners have recently completed a major renovation project on the main house as well. The entire property is beautiful. Upon arriving we were greeted by Peigi the Chef/Innkeeper. She immediately settled us in and gave us maps and an overview of the area and tips on where to visit. The B&B is only a few miles from downtown Nashville, and only a short drive over to the Opry Mills area. The 12 south area is also within walking distance with food, shopping, and coffee shops. Each morning Peigi prepared a great breakfast complete with OJ and coffee. The owners' family was in town that week for the B&B anniversary celebration and we enjoyed meeting and having breakfast with them. As this was our first B&B experience, we didn't know what to expect. Everything turned out great and we had a fantastic honeymoon. We'll definitely stay with them again next time we are in Nashville. Thanks to Tom, Catherine, and Peigi!

My husband & I spent two non-consecutive nights, on the way to & from a wedding in Louisiana. The house itself is very handsome, and the innkeeper Vicki was a sweetheart. We found the house elegantly but somewhat sparsely decorated. The neighborhood was handsome & fun to stroll. What kicked our rating down a couple notches were the small, almost cramped bathrooms, & the tasty but kind of smallish breakfast--both days we were served individual egg casseroles (which were nice but I'm pretty sure were made with powdered eggs), a cup of fresh fruit salad and a single biscuit with butter & jam. For what we paid, I would have expected a slice of bacon, or two biscuits, or fresh squeezed juice at least. Our last complaint was that we were on a somewhat tight budget, so we reserved the room with the lowest rate both nights. The first night we received it, but on the way back we received an "upgrade" which we didn't know about until we arrived, complete with the higher price, which we didn't know about until we were handed our receipt. And honestly, while it was pretty and comfortable, we didn't think our second room (the Belmont) was really worth the difference in price.

Basic B&B, not particularly special. Bed was comfortable but I had to get up in the middle of the night, go to the outside hallway to turn the AC down as the room got stuffy for some reason about 3 am. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Owner wasn't there but the one staff person who came in the morning was nice enough. $200 when the exorbitant Nashville taxes are included - and I'd look elsewhere next time.
