In from Wisconsin (where we have no waffle houses) of course we had to visit one! We made the right choice when stopping at one. Right when we sat down we had amazing fun and friendly service! Learning withing seconds of walking in the door that we were from out of town we were each given waffle house hats :-) who does not like hats!! . With amazing service came great food, not only did we shock the wait staff with how much 4 girls can pile down, but it was soo good that we had to finish it all! great portions and great food... WHO DOESNT LOVE COUNTRY GRAVY! We had a great time while visiting here, best waffle house i have even been to! ...mmm country gravy!

Beyond a doubt the worst Waffle House I've ever visited. Half the tables in the place were dirty. Waited 15 minutes for someone to clean the table we finally chose. Actual quote we overheard from a female employee: "I leave the tables in my section dirty so nobody sits down there. You should do the same!" (Notices us listening) "You didn't hear that! Hahaha!" Another ten minutes before anyone took our order. The guy was spaced out and said he had just gotten out of the ICU but was forced to cover someone else's shift. My hash browns came out without onions the first time AND had a long black hair in them. Nobody working the grill even had long black hair. This is a mismanaged, dirty restaurant with lazy employees. Avoid it at all costs.

We normally love Waffle House, but this was the worst experience I have had at a Waffle House! First it was over 30 minutes before we received any food, and they only had 2 other tables and both were already eating. I received cold toast, and my hash browns after 30 minutes. I was finished with these when my bacon and my boyfriend received his omelet, in which he couldn't even eat, due to the amount of butter and grease on the plate and when he cut his omelet more grease came out. Then when we paid the cost was $17, and they took the omelet off. I was asking about the price and all I was kept being told was that was the price and they took the omelet off. Additionally, we did not receive any refills on our drinks. We will NOT be back to this location, and it will probably be a while before we return to a waffle house due to this situation.

OMG, seriously, please don't ever go there, unless you want some of the most horrible service you'll ever experience. My friends and I went there at 1:30am as we were leaving town from a camping trip, and I really wish we had walked out. When we first sat down, after already waiting for a solid half an hour, one of the servers came to our table to "clean", literally removing 1 glass off our table. It wasn't until more than 20 minutes later when we had to specifically call for this server did he begrudgingly clear the rest of the table. We waited another long while before he came back to take our order, and he nearly cried as he began to tell us his life story. He said that he had been in the ICU for the last 2 weeks and just got out 2 days ago and now had to fill in for someone else, otherwise he would've been home resting. If that's at all true, that's pretty cruel for Waffle House to do that to someone that had been so seriously ill so recently. It took him another 20+ minutes to pull out all the tickets he apparently had forgot he had accumulated from his pocket to read off to the line cooks. Then another female server, in front of all the guests, said that she's purposely not clearing off the tables so no one would sit there. What kind of waiter/waitress with half a brain cell would say something this stupid? Even a bag of bricks wouldn't do something stupid like that. It shouldn't have come as a surprise that there would be a late night rush, when they have a giant white board by the front door supposedly welcoming campers from this event. Seriously, how do these people even hold down jobs at all? Maybe this is why they're stuck at a Waffle House. Even McD's employees wouldn't do that. Good gracious!

Being from up north, I remember these old Waffle Houses from road trips to Florida. now that I'm living in the area, I just love going and getting some hash browns smothered, covered and capped... their burgers are good, and the service is straight-forward... get in, eat, get out... Nothing too fancy, but that's not the point. The servers are friendly, but don't have a lot of time for chit-chat, because they often cook the order themselves if there isn't someone else on the grill. If you want some good ole greasy-spoon flavor, there is none better, and this location is no exception. And for folks like me it conjures up good childhood memories of happy times on the way to a vacation somewhere warm in the middle of a bone-chilling winter in South Bend, IN

All Waffle Houses are not created equal. This one is a must if you are in the area. It is always clean, the staff is great! Always happy and friendly and the service is quick, even if they are busy. The Fiesta Omelet is the best thing since sliced bread! That with the picante sauce they have at each table...Perfect! This with a buttermilk waffle with that warm syrup and butter. It can not be beat! When I am in Murfreesboro, I always stop in for breakfast! I give this one mad props!

I love the "Awful Waffle"! It is really good food! Kind of expensive, you wouldn't know that by the crowd it attracts! Great place to be, on occasion!!! The waitresses are always nice. I like the fact that they are cooking/cleaning in the open, right in front of everybody! I don't know why it's "street name" is the Awful Waffle? It's the Awesome Smothered, covered, and buttered place for me!!!
