My husband and I have always loved the ambiance of Parthenon. We have even recommended it to many of our friends who also now have a fondness to the Parthenon. So of course when my friend drove from Atlanta to visit, I suggested the Parthenon for dinner. Needless to say, we will never go back to the Parthenon.
Four friends out to dinner and we all walked away upset. It took a long time to get our drinks because "the paper got jammed in the machine". Yet, the couple that was seated after us got their food and drinks before us. When we finally got our food, it was cold. One friend ordered salmon and it was raw. She just opted to take it home and cook to her perfection. We didn't complain about the food or drinks because we were enjoying catching up with our friend. However, we did get upset when the server brought the checks.
We were overcharged and the tip (20%) was automatically added. When asked about the tip, the server stated it is company protocol to add it. The actual company policy is to charge it for parties of six or more - we were a part of four. At this point we were starting to get upset but paid the check. When we asked for the manager, a server came over and stated he was the manager. Okay!? We expressed our concerns, particularly about the overcharging, and his response was "haha, she has been here for about a week. That was probably how it was done where she worked at before." My friends and I were perplexed at his response. He did not try to address our concerns or try to rectify the situation. Needless to say, we will never be back to Parthenon Grille.
