Walk in the door and I'm instantly greeted. Had a lovely conversation with what I assume is the owner. They were very nice and I didnt feel rushed ordering my take out food. I get home and dig in. It doesn't look like a lot of food but the eyes deceive. All the food is fresh and exceedingly pleasing to the palate. While it wasn't as spicy as I had expected I stil thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Will definitely be going back at some point.

I like it hot and this place delivers! Everything on the menu (that I have tried) has been Great! The staff is soooo friendly and genuinely happy to serve you. I would recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere is cozy and clean with lots of hospitality. It's a MUST VISIT! Extremely affordable, it's a date night favorite...

Everyone who likes Thai food in Murfreesboro MUST try this place!! Not only is it probably the most affordable thai place in town but it is hands down the best food-wise. Im now addicted to their coconut soup. Its perfect. Ive mostly just tried their curry dishes, which are all uniquely flavored and different . (The green curry is my personal fave) and their pad thai is to die for. Probably one of the best ive ever had! The staff is always super nice and the great food and prices have me coming back at least 1-2 times a week!

Usually when I order Thai I normally order from Thai Pattaya, oriental, or lemongrass which are all great restaurants, but I decided to try some place new. This place is actually pretty cool, the wait to gos aren't that bad at nights and the food is so delicious. I ordered pad see ew ( soy sauce noodles ) with chicken and it was to die for. The sauce was a bit sweet which made all the favors POP and work smoothly together. It was different than other restaurants pad see ew and had more flavor and umfff. Plus it was well portioned at a reasonable price of 9.85 with tax. I also tried the Panang Curry and it is also to die for and extremely addicting. :) the soup included an abundant of veggies and your choice of meat, and the curry was a lot thicker than most watered down curries . i think the only thing I didn't like was the Thai tea because it didn't really taste authentic. It was served with wiped cream and sweet balls (like the ones they have at sweet ceces ) which didn't really go well together or compliment its natural flavor. But overall I will definitely go back and see what other great dishes they have, and the staff and owner and all really friendly, and they seem to know all their customers.

Excellent food and service! I started with coconut soup, mildly spicy with sliced fresh mushrooms. I'm not a huge fan of coconut in general, but I could have eaten a gallon of this soup. The stars of the chicken pad prik were the onions and peppers - crunchy and perfectly cooked in a flavorful chili sauce. I will get this dish again and up the spice level next time. I also tried and loved the yellow curry, spring rolls and sweet and sour chicken. Plus, the staff were extremely attentive, polite and friendly, ensuring every dish was to our liking. This was a wonderful dining experience, and I can't wait to return!

I love this place! We have dined in and ordered take out multiple times. Everyone is always super friendly. The food only takes about 10 minutes, which is perfect! Their pad thai is the best I've had in Murfreesboro. We also like the chicken pho and general tso's chicken. To be honest- we always regret branching out and trying other Thai restaurants in the Boro. Nothing can beat Taste of Thai!

So this place used to be in an Arby's., I think. I drive past it every time I go to class, but I was always wary of trying it. because it was in an old fast food place. Well, I totally should not have judged, because it was actually really good. When you step inside, you know you are in a fast food place because they kept the layout, but once we sat down I really didn't pay any mind to it. Everyone that works there is really friendly and very attentive. I was going to order a Thai Iced tea, but when I saw that they did bubble tea, I changed my mind. I ordered a Thai Tea Bubble Tea. It was not what I expected. It was blended instead of just Thai Tea with tapioca pearls in it., and they put whipped cream on top. It was more like a dessert. That was okay with me; I am a huge supporter of dessert first. For dinner I had Pad Thai, the dish that will forever be the judging meal of a Thai restaurant. It was really good, and the serving was huge. I didn't want to eat it all, but it was so good I couldn't stop eating it. My husband had Pho, and he really liked it. I now crave the Pad Thai and can;t wait to go back. If you're craving some good Thai food, then check this place out.

This place has become one of our favorite take-out spots since we moved to Murfreesboro. The food is consistently delicious, it is ready quickly, and it is inexpensive. Also, the staff is super friendly. My only complaint is that they are not consistent with the way they "spice" their food, if that makes sense. I like a little bit of spice, but there have been several times that I've asked for just a little spice (a 1 or 2 on their scale), and it has been extremely hard for me to eat because it's SO spicy. My husband likes things a lot spicier than I do, and he can hardly handle it sometimes when they "over-spice". I think I'm just going to start ordering my food with no spice, and just add some crushed red pepper to it when I get home. That is my only complaint with this place.

Taste of Thai is one of those "hidden gems" of Murfreesboro. Driving up, you wouldn't expect to get one of the best Phos you've ever had, or be utterly delighted by a hand-crafted curry- but you will be! Taste of Thai is a delicious, family run restaurant that offers a little of everything you would expect to get at a Great Thai place. If you are driving by, stop in and try the Tom Kha Kai, it's killer!! 3 stars: food is great, staff is very friendly, I just like the decor to be a little more updated, and remove the TV from the dining area :)

Small place but service is great. I tried the Thai Iced Coffee and it was great. We ordered the Fresh Spring Rolls, Medium Beef Pho and the Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken. We ate there for lunch. They have a lot of lunch specials. Everything we ordered was good. The fried rice was a little oily. I can't wait to come back and try something new.

Ok so this is my first Thai place and In saying that I was a little nervous . All I know to say now is WOW !!! I had the Honey Chicken and Egg Drop Soup. The Soup was fantastic and was honestly very flavorful . The main dish I had with Fried Rice !! It was very sweet but with just a little salt in the rice the dish was really great ! I would highly recommend coming her for a casual meal. I'm impressed !!!

Perfectly flavored Thai food prepared according to authentic family recipes. Great service. Fresh ingredients. Never disappointing. This is not like Pei Wei or one of the many carbon copy Chinese joints in this town. Taste of Thai's menu offers a sampling of authentic cuisine from the Central & Northeastern regions of Thailand. Though this family owned cafe is situated next door to a giant, so-called Asian "Bistro" (Cathay), Taste of Thai in no way sits in it's shadow, offering consistently fine cuisine at a great value. We usually start with an order of Vietnamese-style spring rolls. Maybe add a hot pot of (amazing) mussels. We'll enjoy some Tom Yum soup. Then order up and dig into whichever incredibly flavorful dish has caught our eye that day. Add a scrumptious Thai Tea and we are set! Sure, the Pad Thai is so good! But you have the chance to treat yourself to some of the best authentic Thai cuisine in the Mid Tenn area. So don't blow it! Step out of your comfort zone and fall in love with something delicious and new!

We've been going here for a few years. It's this little bitty hidden gem on Church St, that we over looked for the longest... I don't think I've had 1 bad meal there. I try to pick new things, but sometimes it's really hard to not pick my favorites. If you like to keep things 'safe' and no spice to your dish, you cannot go wrong with the Honey Chicken and white rice. It's AMAZING. I also like their Pad Thai, but I never get my spicy. The boyfriend likes to push his limits and raises his spicy number when he orders. On a level of 1-10, I usually pick a 1 and he gets a 5-6. That's pretty hot to me. We try so many other dishes. The menu does a good job of describing each dish, so you should have a good experience with finding something you like. The entrees are a very generous serving. If you go with a few people, it will be plenty enough to share your dishes so everyone can try new things. (kinda like pei wei does...) You MUST try the coconut soup that you get before your meal. You get several soup options, but if you're reading this review, it's probably because you want to check this place out and try something new. You can get sweet and sour soup or egg drop soup at the Chinese buffet... Go For The Coconut Soup! Sprinkle the crunchies in it, and come back later to thank me. (I'm not sure why it's called coconut soup, but its not a fruity soup... Just try it... even if it sounds weird) Also, New to the menu as of this summer (2013) is the BUBBLE TEA! Ummm... AMAZING! We have heard about it, but needed our own opinion. It's a cold milkshake type of drink. But not thick like a milkshake. We tried the mango (loved it!!) and the coconut (fantastic!)... You get these great little egg rolls with your soup. I LOVE them. Cooked to perfection. The staff is wonderful! They are the sweetest ladies who will make you feel at home. We think the prices are very reasonable and worth every cent. The dishes we order are right under $10 - sometimes we get appetizers, sometimes we don't... We also only go for dinner. So there might be a cheaper lunch menu and smaller portions. It's great local, family owned resturant with amazing food! Next time you consider going to Cathay's (next door) - just go there 1 time - you'll be back! Plus, you'll never have to wait to be seated...

This place really surprised me. The location would be proof positive of why you should never judge a book by its cover. In the Southeast, I find a lot of these restaurants that try to offer every kind of Asian food imaginable. And the quality often suffers as a result. This restaurant would be an exception in my book. As previously stated, the location itself is unimpressive from the outside looking in - reminiscent of your favorite fast food perhaps, but the atmosphere inside is very comfortable & casual. The wait staff seems to consist primarily of the owners and a small complement of hired help. This adds to the comfortable feeling I got. The staff are very friendly and eager to serve and address any questions you may have about the menu and their many offerings. Additionally, the staff is really attentive and quick to refill beverages or otherwise ensure your visit is a pleasure. Lastly, and most importantly, I can attest that the food is awesome. I had the basil chicken (really common offering at Thai restaurants) and came away really impressed. Summing together the experience, the friendly staff, impeccable service and quiet ambience, I would recommend this restaurant to any passing through Murfreesboro and looking for a quick but delicious meal.

Taste of Thai doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food has been consistently delicious. We have never been disappointed. The staff is quick and friendly. We are always remembered, and often the staff knows "our usual" order before we've said a word. We have dined in as well as gotten delivery many times, and the food is always piping hot and fresh. This place is good when you are craving some yummy authentic Thai at a decent price. Lunch combos run around $6 and dinner combos $10. A few of my personal favorites are the sweet Mongolian beef served over green onions and crispy rice noodles, the traditional Pad Thai, the fried spring rolls, and the curry coconut soup with mushrooms (which is now my preferred winter cold remedy soup over chicken noodle). They also have a great glass noodle and black mushroom stuffed chicken wing, and crab rangoons that are sweetened with tapioca. I also prefer their Thai iced coffee to a Starbucks any day, and often grab one on the go for errand runs.

Husband and I LOVE this place. Staff is so sweet and friendly. The lady (owner I think) is awesome, remembers us from our last visit asks how we are. I refer to her and this place as mama's. Because if I were a little Thai girl I could imagine her making me a bowl of coconut soup on a cold winters night. In fact I crave it when I'm sick and not feeling good. My favorite dish is massoman chicken. So good! I don't want anything too hot do I stick to the basics, basil beef, chicken, but massoman is my go to. Do not pass this place up. Outstandingly friendly, fast service and amazing food!

This restaurant opened yesterday in a former Arby's. The interior is nice and has been completely redone. It is a sit down restaurant with a wait staff. I was really looking forward to this restaurant because there are no Thai restaurants in this part of town and I pass by every day going to work. Alas, I will have to wait a bit longer, for the food here is borderline Thai and is actually mostly Chinese remakes. The lunch menu is very generic and does not have the most basic of dishes such as Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao etc. They did have a decent Thai iced coffee. Someone else can try this place for dinner and please tell us if the above mentioned dishes are on the menu. Otherwise, I see a new Asian Bistro being built next door, wonder when they will open....

This is a regular restaurant for us. Good choice of food, good quality, with really good spicy options (we love spicier than normal). The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Lunch is their specialty (fast & inexpensive.) They always say it takes 15 min for carry out to be ready but I've arrived 5 min after ordering and lo and behold it was ready! I've seen Thai restaurants with larger menus but the choices they have are great and varied. Love their soups and fried rice.

Tell you what folks, I've had many a Thai dishes, but so far every one I've had at Taste of Thai has been delicious! The restaurant is always clean, and the food is always fresh. Last night we went in a about 8:15 and there was only another couple in there. I'm so surprised this place is not busier. The staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you with making a decision quickly. Try the Green Curry, definitely the best curry in town.

This is my favorite Thai place in Murfreesboro. Their food is excellent and the staff friendly. My favorite dish here is the green curry. They don't make it too spicy, so here you can feel pretty confident ordering a dish at spice level 4 out of 5, and it won't kill you. The curries tend toward the sweet side, but admittedly I really like them that way. The vegetables are fresh and I've never had one overcooked. Always nice and crisp. They also do a god job with the rice - it comes out hot, fluffy and tender. I'm always baffled when Asian eateries seem to fail in this arena (I'm looking at you Pei Wei). Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Thai food.

This place is ok, nothing compared to Napakao, or Pai Wei. The Pad Thai there is average, and the prices are just a tiny bit too much for the quality. Place is nice though. Its not bad though. I think this is a generally good place for most people.

Very good Thai. Pad Thai was a little sweet for my taste, but still very good. The Nam Prim was to die for. Excellent bubble tea! Very nice folks, all.

The only place I've ever had Thai and I love it! The Panang chicken is yummy and I'm in love with their coconut soup! Good sized portions, fast, friendly service, and good prices.

This place is ok, nothing compared to Napakao, or Pai Wei. The Pad Thai there is average, and the prices are just a tiny bit too much for the quality. Place is nice though. Its not bad though. I think this is a generally good place for most people.

This is my GO-TO place for Thai food in Murfreesboro! Thy have the best cream cheese rangoons I have EVER had (FILLED TO THE BRIM with crab meat and cream cheese) and their Mongolian beef is a favorite of my wife's choices. We love their spring rolls and the staff is fantastic!
