Healthy Meal suggestions for Logan?s Roadhouse

After hearing from the Regional Manager, who read my last review, we finally got around to going back to Logan's. We each had burgers. My mini's were a little dry but were truly delicious even if the presentation wasn't overly appealing. They are served on Logan's yeast rolls (YUM!) with cheese and a pickle. They were a little dry but I thoroughly enjoyed them. My fries were cold but my husband's were fresh and delicious as well, as was his burger. The service was exceptional. I am encouraged.

I left a tip earlier but thought it would be good to supplement it with a review. Once again, BREAD. That is all you need to know. Seriously, it's incredible, and it would be wise to kindly ask for additional baskets. I enjoyed it so much that I basically filled myself up on only bread and even ordered more after the completion of my meal. I honestly can't say a whole lot about the buttermilk breaded fried chicken that I ordered, but the picture speaks for itself. I had a few bites and thought it was flavorful, and I actually thought it was a tad salty, but that might just be me. Everyone else got steak and I heard no complaints. The service was wonderful! I obviously cannot speak for the whole staff, but the lady who waited our table was very attentive to requests; she was very pleasant, and she also fetched a lot of baskets of bread! If definitely recommend this place. Oh, and there's complimentary peanuts!

My wife ordered the six ounce sirloin. She ordered medium which it came, but burned on the outside. Other than the burned exterior she liked the steak. I ordered the Logan which is an eleven ounce sirloin. I ordered medium rare and no complaints here. This was our second time here. Last time was with my parents and it was a nightmare. They lost our order and it took forever to re order. The manger didn't even come to our table that night. That was about three years ago. This time the service was slow and that would be my only complaint. I was told they were short staffed. It was a Thursday night for what that's worth. The manager stopped by the table at the end of our meal and was very friendly. Over all I feel they lacked origination. We will probably give it another try especially since my kids love throwing the peanut shells on the floor.

Service was awesome I had the Prime Rib and it was to die for. This is a must return to place to eat. I was on a first date and the waiter knew when to step in and step away which earned him a real nice tip. He never once asked a question when we had food in our mouth. Score big points for that.

I've been looking for a place that serves Salmon on the lunch menu, and that is also close to my work. I took my husband on a weekday afternoon just to try it out. We started off with Chips and Queso dip. The dip was good (has fresh tomatoes mixed in) but it wasn't very hot and got cold really fast. The chips were also stuck together and seemed like it was the bottom of the bag. Not bad enough to complain, but we won't order it again. My husband ordered the sirloin and I ordered the mesquite grilled salmon. I will definitely be ordering this again! I was surprised at how great our lunch entrees turned out to be! After all the poor reviews I was pretty skeptical, but I have to say, this visit was a pleasant surprise! Great food, great service! We will be back soon!

This was the second time I've tried Logan's in Murfreesboro and I won't be back. Both times were a disappointment. The first time I ordered their mushroom appetizer (they were out) a medium rare steak and baked potato. Received a well done steak. By the time the server came to check on the food it was 10 minutes later. Another 20 minutes passed waiting for a new steak. The restaurant only had a few tables occupied so I'm not sure what the issue was... The server never reappeared for the whole time I waited for a new steak. Finally got the new steak and it was barely pink inside. Seriously how can a steakhouse not know how to fix a medium rare steak? By this time I had finished my salad and baked potato (with no refill offered for my drink) so I asked for the check and didn't eat the steak. No discount offered for the inedible steak. Oh well. Every restaurant has an off day so thought I'd try another day. Fast forward to my second visit. The restaurant was busy so I wasn't too concerned that I was seated for 10 minutes before my drink order was taken but it should have given me a hint of things to come. They had the mushroom appetizer this time, which they should take off the menu. Unseasoned deep fried button mushrooms with what appeared to be a jarred horseradish sauce. I've had better from corner convenience stores. My salad came 10 -15 minutes before my mushroom appetizer and only a few minutes elapsed between the appetizer and the steak. The steak this time was rare, but not that big a deal when I ordered medium rare plus the server didn't return to my table for several minutes so I attempted to eat it. Unfortunately, the kitchen was extremely heavy handed with the steak seasoning and it was too salty to eat. I switched to the baked potato which was over cooked. The best thing I had was the salad, but I'm not going to pay the price for a steak dinner for a simple side salad again. Finally the server came and with check in hand and asked if I'd like a box which I refused. Never asked how my dinner was or if I wanted dessert. I was going to order a rare dessert but wasn't offered the opportunity. I was very disappointed in the food and service. I decided against asking to see the manager and just paid the check and left. Typically I prefer regional to larger chains but I think I'll stick with the nationwide steakhouse in Murfreesboro from now on... It's nothing to get excited about but at least if I order a steak it's going to be edible. I won't be returning.

Love Logan's Roadhouse! Both times we have gone to this location on a weekend night, so while other restaurants would've taken forever to be seated, we were seated quickly here. It was packed too! Our waitress was attentive, the drinks were great, and the food was delicious! We will go back again! :)

Wonderful steaks, wonderful service, good salads and good bread. Whats not to like? The only complaint I have is that as a southern girl I am picky about my sweet tea and theirs wasnot all that great. Also we noticed the hostess repeatedly taking people to tables that were not yet cleared causing them to have to stand in the aisle next to other diners and wait. Other than that it was excellent. We will definitely be going back.

First, the service was impeccable! The salad was nicely chilled with tasty blue cheese dressing. I ordered the Logan's house Sirloin 11oz. It was grilled to melt in you mouth perfection . The mashed potatoes were yummy. Everything was hot when served, and served with a smile. Only downside was the ladies rest room, it was a disaster. Just plain filth. Trash can over flowing onto the floor. The food and service was excellent!

Update: Logan's management did eventually reach out to me via email. They apologized for my experience and said "if there's anything we can do, please let us know." While I appreciated the sentiment, it was only that and failed to amount to anything consequential. An unforgettable experience in the worst way possible.

Our family of 14 arrived at 6 PM on Sunday, February 16th, and was told that the wait would be about one hour. So, we sat and waited. About 45 minutes into the wait, the manager came by and apologized for the wait, and explained that he was running out of sirloin steaks and some other items. We were told this by another employee as well. So, after a bit over an hour, we have no seats, and no steaks to order. While we were waiting, another group of 14 was asking about their seating prospects, and the employee was digging through the trash looking for their names on sheets that had been crumpled and discarded. Really?? Here is a well-known restaurant chain that advertises itself as a steakhouse, and they have no meat? Obviously, this place needs new management, or a refresher course in how to run a steakhouse. We left and went to Nobody's, were seated right away, and were treated quite well. With all the choices of places to eat in Murfreesboro, I suggest you don't choose Logan's.

Staff members almost gets this Logans a higher rank, but the steaks were only medium (no pun intended). Fairly juicy, but not great. My wife ordered her steak cooked Medium, but it was more like Medium-Rare. Mine was M-R as requested.

My husband and I used to really enjoy this place! The wait was sometimes long, but worth it. Service was usually good. Food was usually great. Last time we went, we were seated at a booth near the wooden wall up against the kitchen. While we were waiting for our food, I saw a baby cockroach on the wall. Tried not to think about it, as we finally got our food. While I was trying to enjoy my burger, I saw two more bigger roaches and this time they crawled out onto the booth and table. I was so disgusted that I couldn't finish eating. We were able to get and show a manager who admitted they were aware of the problem... they just didn't know where they were coming from. We were fortunately comped for the meals we were unable to enjoy. BUT I WILL NEVER EVER EAT THERE AGAIN.
