Healthy breakfast options! I needed a healthy breakfast and wifi. This IHOP has both. I ordered the simple and fit spinach, mushroom, and tomato omelet. I really liked everything except I wasn't in love with the fire-roasted tomatoes. I would have preferred fresh tomatoes. It was served with fresh fruit. I will have to make return visits when I'm in the area to try the rest of their simple and fit menu options. The service was very friendly and the food was delivered to the table pretty fast.

So we show up on a Friday night around 10:00pm after a football game like we have done for the last few years. I'm the first in a party of 11 to make it. They won't seat us until the entire party is there which has NEVER been the case at IHOP. The place is nearly empty and there's about 6-7 wait staff standing around doing nothing. Needless to say we took our money to Outback where they seated us immediately. We won't be back.

The employees were very nice, but the waitress I had was a little racist saying "Oh I'm surprised you people speak very good english" so I didn't really say anything. Anyway, when I had my food, I found a piece of plastic in my hashbrows which was pretty disgusting.

Ok, everything was great, food, waitress... Until we got in to the check out, only one register, took about 5 minutes waiting for a picky lady to finish her take out order. 4 employees just looking at us. The cashier had a bad attitude also. Music is too loud.

Monday, July 28, I took my sons to breakfast. This was our third trip in a little over a week. The hostess escorted us to our booth, slapped the menus on the table, immediately turned around, almost running into me in the process followed with a "'scuse me" as she walked past. The waitress came to the table and took our order without delay. She returned to drop off the coffee pot. No mug. No ice water. She then proceeded to take orders for two other tables that came in after us and delivered coffee pot, mugs, and ice water. Both times I tried to get her attention and she just walked off. I finally walked over to another server and asked if we could have a coffee cup and some water. The server acted like I had slapped her with a cold rag. Several minutes went by when our waitress finally appeared with excuses abound. "I'm really not a terrible waitress." "I am so tired from last night." And on and on. She served me a coffee mug and plopped my two sons' milks on the table. I mentioned that I asked for their milks to be delivered with our food when I was interrupted with, "your food is about to be delivered, SIR." We finally got our food. The boys' food seemed to be fine. I ordered the citrus chicken pecan salad. What I received was a bed of lettuce with pecans drizzled in watered down honey mustard. Not the citrus vinegrette. No orange slices anywhere. And the chicken was burned beyond recognition. Before I could say anything the waitress had already left. I stopped the nearest employee, refused the salad, and asked to see the manager. She came to our table full of apologies starting about 12 feet away as she walked up. She told me that their truck delivery was late and that some ingredients were not available. I asked her, "why do I have to talk to the manager to find out what I ordered would have missing ingredients?" She then wanted to argue about the dressing insisting that I was wrong about the dressing. I told her that I had worked in restaurants and knew what honey mustard dressing tasted like. She was silent. She then told me that she was taking my salad off of my bill (gee, thanks) and giving us a 20% discount. As I went to stand in line to pay the bill not one BUT TWO tables of people got up and left. The hostess asked why they were leaving and they chimed in, "we've been sitting here for over 20 minutes and nobody has come to our table." Wow! When I got home I called the corporate complaint line and spoke to their customer service. He said I would be hearing from the owner in 48 hours. I'm writing this review Friday, 8/1 and I haven't heard a peep. The owner probably knows about the problems and doesn't really care.

I'm sorry to say that the service, food, and all-around awesomeness of this IHOP has declined severely. Seven months ago I wrote a four star review for this specific IHOP. The service was amazing, with friendly and funny waiters and waitresses. The food was fantastic. It had flavor, it was cooked correctly and it satisfied our hunger. Unfortunately I cannot say the same thing for its current state. Not only did it take two hours to get our food but the food was incorrect and our whole party ended up puking it up by the time we got home. On top of that, the waitress mixed our bill with another tables bill, making our bill twice the cost that it should have been. Luckily we caught that before paying. I'm sorry to say that I will not be coming back to this IHOP. After this experience I may avoid IHOP's altogether. The face I'm making in the photo I posted accurately represents my entire experience at this IHOP...

I love love love IHOP. They are really good at what they do, which is serving simple food fast. The Old Fort IHOP is often very crowded for brunch on weekends, but my boyfriend and I will often come down and make the wait. Generally the line for a table moves quickly and once you're in service is fast and efficient. The menu does have healthy options, but who eats healthy food at an IHOP. I'm there for the eggs, bacon, hash browns and of course, the pancakes. Their pancakes are great. My boyfriend likes to get fancy and order an omelet or crepes, but I just want pancakes. The buttermilk pancakes are my favorite, but I have tried most of the pancake options. I actually prefer IHOP to Pancake Pantry in Nashville and I get in and out much faster than I do at Pancake Pantry.

Five of us ate at IHOP in Murfreesboro.. We waited 40-45 mins. for our meals. Our server (Joe) was excellent and apologized for the long wait. Finally, our long awaited food came. My son's chicken fried steak must have been microwaved more than once because it was almost petrified. My grandson ate some of his omelet and then started on his blueberry pancakes when he found a hair under the pancakes!!! We caught Joe's attention and showed him the plate and asked to talk to a manager. She offered to comp my son's chicken fried steak and offered to bring my grandson more pancakes. Maybe I've seen too many Kitchen Nightmare episodes but I began to question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the cook's personal hygiene habits. Needless to say, I lost my appetite and my pancakes were also taken off the bill. The manager walked away to bring us m a revised bill while my grandson sipped the last of his drink and found a piece of paper with writing inside his glass!! That was the last straw. I will never return to this restaurant. The next day I called to let the owner know of our experience and spoke to the day manager who took my call in the owner's absence.. What was disconcerting was the blase attitude by both managers. It made me wonder if their indifference meant this is commonplace at this restaurant. BTW, 3 days later and I am still waiting for the owner to return my phone call.

We've always had great service and great food at this IHOP. Whether it's breakfast food or dinner food, it's always been tasty, the portions have always been good, and the price has always been reasonable.
