This is my guiltiest pleasure... ron b. thinks it's all fat and fillers and their kitchen is gross... i would like to respond by saying... who cares!!!! whether it's angus beef or pink slime... it's delicious... if i wanted grass fed beef i'd go pay $12 somewhere for it and get 2500 jesus points... but once a week i shun my creator and i go to fat mo's to punish my insides... and it's sooooo worth it this burger is greasy and delicious... the fries are crispy and tasty... there is literally nothing wrong with this sandwich... the guys who work there are all immigrants and they are awesome... this whole small restaurant chain is a 20 year old american dream success story and i don't feel bad stuffing 1000 calories down my gullet once a week in the name of small business...

They have the best Borger in Murfreesboro. Also the stuff are nice and friendly. I always get #2.

You people have no idea what your eating. There patty has 0 meat. It's all fat and fillers. Absolutely NOTHING is made from scratch. Everything is frozen or from a can. Also the conditions of there kitchens is horrible. Many health violations there.

Went for lunch today and was reminded once again of how a hamburger is supposed to taste. Large, meaty patty, freshly cooked, with your choice of basic toppings. A side of freshly cooked, seasoned fries. Lots o' ketchup. The owners are cool, the TV has ESPN on, and this is where I first heard about Pete Carroll abandoning USC for the NFL. Of course, a five-year contract at $7 million per year doesn't hurt....

Size does matter and Fat Mo's has their Super Deluxe Burger weighing in at 27oz. of fresh beef cooked to order, and that's just down right huge! We were having new tires put on the van at Tire World next door and couldn't resist... In addition to the Fat Mo's Burger (1/2lb), I tried the spicy fries and a delicious strawberry/banana malted. Everything was excellent, it was an awesome lunch.

Good food. Friendly service. A bit pricey but food made to order. I love the fried mushrooms!

I've never been disappointed by a Fat Mo's burger and this is my usual location to get my fix. Burgers are always well seasoned and the fries are pretty awesome. Prices are affordable and there's a good variety on the menu. Dine in, take out or drive thru are all pretty quick with good service and the only real downside is the location. If Memorial Boulevard traffic is crazy, it's easier to go down a few side roads to get to a red light. All locations I've been to have been consistent with both service and food so it's definitely my go to burger place.

Back in April, I heard about fat mo's from my boss who boasted "top 3 veggie burgers i've ever had." I went to a nashville location and ordered a veggie burger with mayo, lettuce, and tomato and an order of spicy fries. I have to say that I strongly disagree about the veggie burger... I love all kinds of foods but this didn't taste like a veggie burger to me at all. More like hummus or falafel (which I love both), but it didn't mix well with regular "burger" toppings. Having said that, the fries were awesome. Not spicy at all, but crispy and great. Fast forward to today, a coworker was eating lunch and it smelled awesome so I asked him what he was having. He told me it was the catfish sandwich from fat mo's and it was one of his favorite fish sandwiches. Here we go again. Well, I wanted to give this place another shot (I don't eat any meat other than fish) because the fries were enough to bring me back for more and I didn't know they had a fish sandwich. I knew my husband would want to try it as well so I waited until I got back to murfreesboro and went to this location. I ordered 2 catfish sandwich combos with spicy fries. The guy taking my order asked what all i would like on the sandwiches so I asked him what normally comes on them. He said a bunch of toppings so fast that I didn't even get them all. Normally I wouldn't choose 50 toppings for a catfish sandwich but I threw caution to the wind and told him to put all of it on both sandwiches. I immediately regretted saying that because I got nervous they would taste horrible. After a short wait for fresh cooked food, I drove home and we ate. First of all, the piece of catfish was HUGE. Probably 2x the size of the bun, which was also huge. Secondly, I retract my hesitation about the toppings. YUM. I could be leaving something out but I think it had ketchup, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and hot sauce. I feel like he said one more (maybe tartar sauce) but either way that was the way to go! The fish was crispy and spicy and all of the toppings went together with the fish really well. Personally I would rate 2 stars for the veggie burger and 4 for the fries and catfish sandwich.

This might be the biggest burger I've ever seen or eaten. Year ago that burger won me some money and a free meal. I was challenged to eat two super deluxes and did. These days I don't eat the big burger anymore, but I get my smaller versions dressed just the same. The burgers taste delicious. The grilled onions and bacon just add to the immense flavor. Not just is the burger huge, but it packs some flavor, too. I've had my share of burgers, and I am somewhat of a grill master, myself, but I still love a Fat Mo from time to time. Fat guy approved!

Don't overlook the catfish sandwich- it is extra-delicious and the filet is massive. My favorite thing on the menu; I like it best topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo and hot sauce. Their veggie burger (not on the main menu but readily available) is also very tasty and made from scratch in-house, they even have all the ingredients listed on the sign. A close friend that is a big meat-lover tried the veggie burger and he now orders that every time we go.

I've been going to the Fat Mo's locations all over Middle Tennessee for over ten years. It's amazing.

I discovered this little joint very shortly after moving to Murfreesboro for uni. You certainly wouldn't expect much from the looks of it: it has a pretty standard fast-food-burger-joint feel to it, and is beginning to look a wee bit dated on the interior. HOWEVER! Folks, you can't judge a book-burger by its cover, but instead by its contents: and Fat Mo's contents are ready to give you cardiac arrest from the most delicious burgers ever. My first visit was before my veg-head days, so for me an order typically consisted of a Little Mo with a side of spicy fries. Not only is the Little Mo still pretty dang big as far as burgers go, but dang. That is one seriously good burger. You can expect any Fat Mo burger you order to be a decadently messy affair--be sure to stock up on the napkins before you settle. ;) It's also worth mention that Fat Mo's offers shakes as well: if you're feeling particularly gluttonous, I swear, a burger and shake combo is the best thing ever. Luckily for me, it was shortly after I became vegetarian that Fat Mo's out of the blue whipped out what is probably my FAVORITE veggie burger of all time. It's a mysterious concoction of chickpeas, zucchini, lentils, and magic--oh my glob. Now that I live abroad, I seriously have dreams about Fat Mo's veggie burgers and spicy fries. I still haven't found anything that fills that hole in my burger-heart since! It's also worth mention that the gents who work at Fat Mo's are really nice, and if you go enough you can expect a wee bit of chat and them to remember your face in the future. All in all, I stinkin' LOVE Fat Mo's. Open up a branch abroad, for the love of God, I need a fix!

Not even sure what the haters on here are thinking. This is by far the best burger in all of Murfreesboro. Better even than... dare I say it... Five Guys. I LOVE FAT MO'S. Especially when you combine that great seasoned burger with the cajun/seasoned fries... Epic meal. EPIC. Can't wait to go again.

I have been wanting to try this place for months, largely because of the need to find a great burger place in Murfreesboro and the positive reviews posted here on Yelp. I ordered a #3 combo, which comes with a drink, double cheeseburger, and my choice of fries or onion rings. I chose the seasoned fries and a chocolate shake to drink for a total of about $11. After approximately 20 minutes of waiting, my food arrived. I quickly realized that the place was way over-hyped. My chocolate shake tasted like a poor attempt at a Wendy's frosty. The seasoned fries were clearly formerly frozen "zesties" and my burger was two patties of dry char, much smaller in size than the massive bun they were served on. As for service, it was pretty rough. The young man providing service for the front of the house spent way too much time on his cell-phone to even attempt to make me feel like a valued customer. I will not be back. tl:dr: Ignore the positve reviews and go somewhere else instead. This place is not worth your money or time.

Good burger and light tasting (not heavy).

Heard this place was great. Walked in and the place is old an not the cleanest. Orders a burger and season fries. My burger was not great but the fries were ok. Overall I would not go back. The burger was something I could have made at home but only my burger would have tasted better.

Don't judge a restaurant by it's outer appearance! Yea, hardly any cars are there but don't be fooled! Super delicious burgers!!
