Oh dear Cracker Barrel... what has happened to you? Normally we can count on you for a good meal, good quality, good service. Not stellar, but dependable and predictable. A good visit. However, seems something has gone wrong at this location. We were seated and waited quite a while before our server arrived. She took drink orders and got them wrong. No big deal, its o.k. We placed our orders and waited a very long time before finally asking the server how things were going.... she said she was sorry, it was taking longer because they were so busy. Actually, we were one of maybe 12 tables in the whole place. There were mostly empty tables in both rooms, and it was past the dinner rush hour. Interestlingly, we were seated nearby the kitchen and I don't know what the heck they were doing in there. We couldn't decide if they were laughing, fighting, or having a pep rally. Or an MMA fight. Or maybe they had a stripper back there. It was crazy. The food did finally arrive, and I played "find the chicken" in my chicken and dumplins. The dumplins were pretty gross, but to be honest there were about three times the normal amount. I picked on the meal until I was full and the plate was still loaded. I guess for most people that might be a plus, but I felt like the yahoos in the kitchen had just slopped a big ole pile of whatever on my plate... Cracker Barrel flunked on the things we count on them to deliver: good food, good quality and good service. Never again at this location, at least.

Country style cooking...great roast beef dinner. I went there with friends and loved it. It was kind of weird because my dish came out before my friends' but I didnt complain. Service was excellent, and this place is pretty good for home style, country cooking. Also, it was pretty cheap for the amount of food that they give you. ROAST BEEF DINNER....that is all the reason you need to go there....it was delicious.

I like Cracker Barrel in general and this location is a typical Cracker Barrel - nothing out of the ordinary. If you are in the Murfreesboro area; I prefer the one in Smyrna better.

What has happened at cracker barrel? The biscuits were not good (short and greasy). The fried steak was some processed piece of over salted breaded patty. The gravy in the dumplings was watered down. The turkey was dry the dressing was fine thou. It really was not a good lunch. The coffee and tea were fine. Will not be going back for lunch or dinner any time soon.

I have never liked Cracker Barrel, but sometimes it's the only breakfast place available. As soon as I walked in I was immediately overwhelmed with all the tacky store items (does anyone actually buy these?). I enjoyed my pecan pancakes, but the syrup was so watery that I felt like I needed double what I was given. Bob Evans needs to build more restaurants in the south. I can't survive without it.

Went there the last day my family and I were in town. Place was nice and clean everywhere. Loved our waitress she was nice and friendly. Food was good. Everyone was so helpful in the store area too. One of my favorite places to eat.

I had the displeasure of visiting this restaurant, twice. Both times, the food was either not fully cooked or just awful. The food was very bland, no seasoning at all. Christine, the manager, was a very cold, rude, careless person. She smarted off, at the restaurant's mistake.....just a very cold, heartless soul. This was my personal experience with the restaurant and manager. Needless to say, I will never return to this place, nor recommend it.

This is the most well run CB I've ever been in. The place was packed. I was told the wait for one person to be five mins and was seated in three. The host was exceptionally pleasant and engaging, as was my waitress, who was very attentive and sweet. The food was served hot and fresh and within five minutes! The manager stopped by to check in and I told her how impressed I was. The founding bros must have certainly envisioned that success would look just like this store, one well oiled machine.

First off I just want to say that I like eating at Cracker Barrel. But after my visit Monday night it may be a while before I return. A few weeks before I had take out and was missing parts of my order but being the stubborn person I am, I did not say anything. My visit last week the server spilled water on my food and my Country fried steak was swimming in grease. Thank goodness the manager comped one of my meals. So here comes Monday the 13th and the restaurant is dead. The server Dixie was extremely nice and ready to help any way she could. Usually this restaurant is super busy. So the thing that set it all off was not having the meatloaf. This Cracker Barrel needs to figure out where the mistakes are at and fix them. It will be a while before I go back.

I'm giving this two stars because I felt bad for the waitress. She had to keep making excuses for the hockey pucks, or biscuits as they called them. My wife's eggs were over cooked, sent them back, no better the second time. Same for the biscuits. Even with gravy on them, I had to saw them with a knife in order to eat them. This location has had problems for quite some time and this was the last straw. I took their survey and then sent and email to the company. No response.

My wife and I are at this Cracker Barrel tonight (July 12). Not busy at all due to the boycott of this chain. My wife had the campfire chicken . It tasted ok she says however it's very sloppy and messy. As well there was a ton of pepper on it I had the chicken fried chicken with pinto beans and Mac and cheese. Over all it was ok but could easily tell it had been frozen . Next we ordered the slate caramel blonde . I was really looking forward to this but was a big let down. Nothing about it tasted like salted caramel. The brownie seemed hard maybe burnt . Customer service was lacking and over a all it just wasn't the best

I met here with an old friend for dinner. We were seated almost immediately. We ordered food and drinks. Her drink had a bug in it, which was entirely unacceptable and disgusting. When we notified the server, she acted like she didn't believe us, and held up the drink and looked at it. She did bring a new drink. We waited 25+ minutes on food, only to have the waiter come back and tell my friend they were out of what she ordered, which would have been nice to know 25 minutes prior. Then we waited about 15 more minutes, and FINALLY received some food. My food was great, my friend was less than happy with the substitute they offered. For some reason the waiter only brought us a few biscuits, and seemed annoyed when we asked for more. She took forever to split our check. The lady at the checkout counter was super nice. She asked how our food and service was, and when we told her she asked if we wanted to talk to a manager. But we knew they wouldn't do anything about it and didn't care, so we said no. We will not return to this Cracker Barrel.

Came here with my MTAC group and had a great experience. We had to wait on cornbread and it was a little burned. It's free though, so I didn't complain. But all our food was really good.

I know Murfreesboro is just a little college town and the turnover rate for restaurant employees is pretty quick so this review may or may not apply for very long, but our servers name was Andy and he was awesome! He was genuinely nice (as opposed to seeming fake like a lot of people in the restaurant industry) and very attentive! Personally, I love the food at Cracker Barrel, mainly because it's dependable and I always get the same thing. Never disappointed.

Short and sweet: the staff is friendly, the food came out quickly, the meal was tasty and cooked exactly as requested. The waitress went out of her way to be extra nice! Props! Parking on a Sunday morning is a nightmare, but that's to be expected.

This is my least favorite of the Cracker Barrel's in Rutherford County. There is always a long wait on the weekends and tonight they weren't even taking down names, just making everyone line up and be seated as tables came available. The line was to the door by the time we were sat. However, I will admit tonight's service was MUCH better than it has been in the past. We have avoided this location like the plague for a few months since the last visit we went without a server for 10 minutes and he forgot to check on us multiple times. Tonight our server was Emily and she did a great job checking on us through out the meal. Food was good and the cornbread was fresh & deelllliicciiouuussss.Overall this experience was good but I still prefer the location on Church Street.

I love the customer service this place provides! But other than that... Sorry I found the food to be blah! I I ordered chicken and dumplings, umm gross and it came out cold! The corn bread was extremely dry and my baked apple side was cold. (When it was suppose to be hot) the only thing I would eat here is the carrots and the chicken with rice!! Don't waste ur money!!!

Meh, it's a Cracker Barrel. I don't understand why people wait so long to eat here. They must be the same people who's favorite restaurant is Olive Garden or Red Lobster. We only ate here on a friends suggestion and, thankfully, didn't have to wait to be seated. I found the food to be pretty bland and unimaginative. Biscuits were hard and gravy needed salt. Service was fine and food arrive promptly. I like that the syrup comes in little glass bottles and in fact has at least SOME actual maple syrup and isn't pure high fructose corn syrup like most places. I'd much rather skip this chain and find a mom and pop place for breakfast. Prices are cheaper and food is usually better.

Some kid must of been playing with the candle selection, my husband went to grab a candle off the self and didn't notice one was half off the self below, needless to say it hit the round with FORCE, and not once did they ask if we were ok! Husband had shorts on and his legs were exposed. I was kneeling down looking at soaps when it hit so I got slammed by some of the glass, a little cut by my foot but I took care of it when I got home. Needless to say, we bought our 3 rocking chairs elsewhere! The one in Nashville is much nicer!!! The staff here is rude and seem to hate there jobs!

Great chicken and dumplings, above avg mac and cheese and slaw. The mashed potatoes were avg. They got packed right as we entered and still had solid service. Like the grandma's breakfast when i go early, not on menu anymore but they still make it when reqested.

Ah, this place is nothing to write home about. The food came out warm and the hash browns were just plain cold. I don't get it. I think it is a theme across the board for hashbrowns to be cold at Cracker Barrel. The service was ok. My coffee was always filled so I cannot complain here. It just came down to a so so experience.

This cracker barrel is always pack, no matter what time of the day it is. I run into people I know all the time (not that its a bad thing). I'm not much of a fan of cracker barrel and their food, but my husband loves their country ham, so I have put up with it. Apart from the food, the service is really good, every time we go there, we always have great service and the employees are always nice.
