Reading these reviews leaves me rather awestruck. My experience there was subpar to say the least. My food was overcooked, and the the service was disappointing. When I was there the restaurant was far from busy, and fairly empty, and it still took nearly 40 minutes for the food to reach my table. I have not eaten there since.

I am not sure if I was there on a bad day or not, but the reviews this restaurant received are not indicative of the experience I had. I will give a local restaurant at least 2 tries because of the lack of selection in mountain city. The first time I ate here was the last. If your using yelp you obviously care about the food your getting ready to eat, so check out Suba's or La Cucina.

Awesome little gem of a restaurant. Only problem is you need to check their hours before going. They were closed this week on Monday and Wednesday. Finally made it there on Thursday night. Superb service. Best salad bar I think I've ever seen, had all the traditional items plus roasted garlic, seasoned hummus, cornbread salad, and mango couscous. Our party of 6 had fried fish, lasagna, chefs pasta off the lite fare menu. All were nice portions, 2 of us couldn't finish despite hiking that day. The cheesecake and the chocolate desserts were huge. I will definitely return if in this area again.

My wife and I discovered this restaurant on Yelp and really enjoyed the food. I had the seafood chowder and salad. Excellent. They had a good assortment of salad ingredients, condiments, and dressings. The service was excellent even if it was the chef's wife. This is run by a husband and wife team and they really strive to offer the very freshest ingredients all prepared to perfection. I had the double chocolate gooey brownie with whipped cream dessert. A chocolate lover's delight. We will be returning even if it is an hour drive from where we live. You will not be disappointed.

A wonderful meal all around. I got Shrimp and Grits, which were outstanding ($16). Others in my party got crab stuffed shrimp ($15) and lasagna ($12). Entrees come with salad, bread and choice of potato. Atmosphere is classy for the area. Wait staff great. Kids menu items for $5. I will definitely go back

Not a fan. We have given this restaurant several trys, and the last time was it. My husband got the prime rib sandwich and the meat was soured. I got lasagna and it was ok, nothing to write home about. Staff took care of our issues but I'm afraid to eat there again. Was also told by an employee that they re-serve their rolls. That is scary and sealed the deal.

We just moved to Mountain City, and have only had breakfast...which was fabulous! Had the Low Rider Skillet, which was excellent, and plenty of it. Oh yeah...and those "Silly Little Cinnamon Rolls" are to die for! The atmosphere is great, my only complaint was that our waitress just did not have it together...she did not bring our fruit platter, and we kept having to ask for drink refills. They really weren't busy, so that wasn't the problem. The other waitresses were really moving and giving great service, so I'm hoping maybe she was new and just hadn't gotten into the swing of things. We will definitely go back.

Best place in Mountain City for a diverse menu plus great desserts. My family relies on the Tributary for made-to-order cakes on special occasions, and they never disappoint. Furthermore, their entrees which might look everyday are very flavorful and always fresh. The menu is large, but I've never tasted one morsel that wasn't above the cut.

Excellent food. Ordered many different items, and each one has been very tasty. The only knock against this place is spotty service. It can take quite a while to receive refills, salads, appetizers, and meals, but once they arrive you're good to go.
