I always love a waitress that will accommodate my requests. I wanted to taste a few different items on the menu and she allowed me to get the taste of Italy and substitute what I wanted. This was awesome! Food was great and we were in and out quickly.

After a long drive we stopped and decided to give Olive Garden in Mount Juliet a try. We had some bad experience in the past at Olive Garden and this time was no different! First of all the server was not friendly and kind of sarcastic! As soon as we said we wanted water to drink she got very pissy. The bread wasn't fresh and kind of doughy . My husband got the stuffed chicken Marsalla, the chicken was so tough that it was rubbery and the mashed potato and the sauce were completely cold ! I got the Chicken scampi OMG that was horrible , it didn't have any taste, no sauce and it looked like my food spent the day under the heat lamp because my pasta looked so dry on top. At the end our lovely server brought the check and left , we sat for more than 10 minuets waiting for her to get the check and give us some change but she never came back so we had to find our own change ! We don't go there again ever ! We don't make the mistake 2 times for sure ! So disappointing

Best part: Peach Belini Iced Tea. ohhh emmm geee. The food at this Olive Garden seems to be at or slightly below the average Olive Garden experience. The servers here are normally friendly and fast. One of the hostesses was not particularly friendly on my last visit, but she may have just been having a bad day-- I'll give her the benefit of the doubt! The bread here is always good and the portions are a good size and quality.

Let me start by saying, I love Olive Garden. Or at least, in the past I have. This used to be my family's Go-To restaurant. We couldn't wait for the salad, breadsticks, and delicious pasta meals. Now, it seems, Olive Garden has started focusing on cost cutting, taste reductions, and bland, possibly even frozen food items, in lieu of freshly prepared, well seasoned dishes. The service isn't even what it used to be. Specifically this MJ location, the servers and hostesses can't seem to get their act together. We will probably still go again, just because it's Olive Garden and sometimes you crave a good Tour of Italy, but if they keep trending down, and their food and flavor don't pick back up, in addition to their customer service, we will find another local Italian restaurant to give our money to.

After shopping all day in Mt. Juliet my family and I were hungry for some pasta. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the new items on menu. The food was hot and fresh we will be coming back.

Don't sit in Lauren V's section (Guest Ck # 52974 ) My food was amazing. The hostesses were humble and showed appreciativeness for my patronage. Management caressed my table multiple times. Perhaps this is the reason why I continue visiting O.G 2-3 times weekly. My request is that you consider drug testing the manager that made the idiotic & audacious decision to place Lauren V in the servers position and not the dish room. Semper fi,

My Sicilian grandmother would turn over in her grave, but I actually like Olive Garden. I've been in Hermitage Tn visiting my daughter and husband and 2 week old grandson and we decided to all venture out for dinner since it's one of their favorite restaurants to eat at. Our food was good but the service was sub par. Our server was Lauren V and she never smiled and seem to rush us so she could turn the table. I ordered a glass of their house Cabernet which was listed as $5 a glass, but when the check came I was charged $8. I also got a diet coke and was never offered a refill. I was charged $2.99 for a small bowl-1/2 filled of marinara which I thought was tacky and a sly way to jack up the bill. I had soup and salad and had to ask for a clean spoon since the food runner spilled some of my soup on the tray even though she saw it had soup on the handle. While I considered challenging my bill, I declined because my daughter was anxious to get the baby home before he woke up. I still tipped 15% because it's just good karma-and my son in law and daughter also tipped her on their (seperate) so she made good money despite her lack of customer service. My daughter and I have waited tables in very busy restaurants ourselves so we know the value of a smile and attention to the table. While they'll go back to this location, we think the manager should have a meeting about how to be a good server to make sure they're representing the restaurant well.

Where do I start. first and foremost this was a valentine dinner for me and my wife and it was just terrible. we got are salad and soup. The waitress asked "do you want cheese." I say yes. she only grates a hand full and cuts me off. I am like WTH. then about 20 min later she bring our apps. and they are stone cold you can tell they let it sit in the window for a long time. the busboy had to refill our drink cause the waitress was like nowhere to be found. then my entree came and I had to send it back. It was burnt and you can tell once more it had been sitting under the heat lamp. Once more we had to get the busboy to get our food right no waitress cared. needless to say Olive Garden has really failed to earn my praise. It you are going to charge $20 for a entree then you must deliver good food not slop.

We sat in the bar booths and watched the female bartender (finger nails girl) working her tail off serving drinks and waiting half the tables in the bar. Too bad she did not serve us, we have a fairly lack luster server who seemed annoyed. The Chicken Abbruzzi is a new dish, semi healthy and good flavor. Wine served from a box, kinda tacky

Olive Garden has always been one of my favorites. Lately, it seems like their food is going downhill a bit at several of the locations I've tried lately (including in other states). I've been to this location several times since moving to MJ, and I've yet to have a truly great experience... it's just been your basic ho-hum service and food, but not even as good as it used to be at OG.

Have always been a big fan of Olive Garden. But lately, I find myself liking it less and less. It's becoming just another fast food joint, not much different from McDonalds or some other place like that. Had a friend visit from out of town so we went to dinner here. We were seated immediately because we arrived around 5 before the big rush. Then for the next 45 minutes the server did his best to "turn the table" as quickly as possible. We weren't even seated and he wanted to take our drink and appetizer orders. Shortly after he dropped off the entrees he wanted to know if "we were still working on them or needed a to go box." We were making jokes about the waiter because he was so obviously trying to grab the tip and get rid of us--all of us are former waiters and bartenders--and move on to the next set of tippers. Don't they train these guys to treat people like people anymore? Despite all that, the food is still pretty good though we all know it's not really Italian food, but that's OK by me--still like it. But please Olive Garden, work on training the servers so it's not quite so obvious that it's all about the money. And what's with the funky tablets where we order appetizers--such personal service, really makes me feel like a valued customer.

Hate to re-review a location down but had a terrible experience with my wife that has topped off a trend the past few months at this location. I would start off by saying the manager approached us as we left and gave us a $20 gift card which I appreciated, especially since I told him we always pay our bill and I didn't want a discount, just wanted to tell him of the service as follows: Wife ad I sat at the booths by the bar and ordered tea and water while we looked at the menu. We decided on a small plate, soup and our main entrees at the same time and placed our order. After awhile our appetizer and our soup came out same time as another table that seated way after us, and then a long stint of time waiting with empty bowls. After awhile our server came by and cleared our table and their we sat waiting for our main entrees. Finaly when our server saw me looking at her se put up her hand to show that she recognized we were waiting and disappeared into the kitchen. Finaly as our food came out I stated we can go ahead and get to go boxes as it had been to long and the soup had settled and we were no longer hungry. This is where it wet way off, as our server then said "yeh sometimes when you order appetizers first while waiting for entrees, you get some so early it feels like a lot longer f a wait than it really is". I told my wife that it seemed like she just put the blame on us for why it took so long. After telling the manager of this, I watched another server go over and tell her that I had said something to him, and even though I handed her the bill and my card, she had another server give me my receipt and card back. All that to say that it saddens me to see customer service drop so bad and a once great location for my wife and I to have a nice dinner.

We usually enjoy Olive Garden in MJ, but not tonight. We were seated quickly, even on a Saturday night. Our waitress informed us that she didn't know if she would stay our waitress or if we'd get someone else. Don't think it would matter. We ordered an appetizer which didn't arrive very quickly. The salad came out before the appetizer, which we ate, but had a unusual taste as if the lettuce was old. We also never were offered the OG cheese on everything. That was unusual, not that I really cared about that. Then the waitress came by and said she'd get the appetizer, which she did. Then the entree's came right out, the waiter said he'd take it back and remake them when we were ready. After eating most of the appetizer, the waitress brought out the food. Unfortunately it was now cold, which means they didn't remake them. At that point we were done. Sent the food back and called it a night.

i'm updating my review to knock them back to two stars, due to what was probably the worst, rudest service i've ever had. i'm not giving it one star because the food is still pretty spectacular. the hubs and i are in the midst of an international adoption, and therefore have to be super frugal with our money-long gone are the numerous date nights. so, when we go out, we try to go somewhere that has wonderful service, tasty food, and is moderately priced. oh, how i regret now suggesting the OG. We sat at a booth in the bar area and salivated over the menu. so much yumminess we could not immediately decide! our server/bartender greeted us and we ordered our waters, but did not know what we wanted yet, so we requested a few more minutes. she came back and we had decided. we ordered an appetizer, our soups instead of salad and main meal all at the same time (this is important). we waited, and waited, and waited. another table was sat after us and served their salad before we even got our soup (all they do is scoop it out themselves, i know, i used to work for the OG! finally our soup, breadsticks and appetizer came at the same time-no worries, we can deal. we finished that and the server/bartender came and cleared our table, and we waited for our main meal, and waited, and waited, and waited. at one point she came by and said "are you saving room for desser...." and stopped before she finished, realizing we hadn't even been served our meal yet. we continued to wait. and wait. i ordered the ravioli portabella and the dh ordered a simple pasta dish (nothing special that would take this long!). at one point (about 15 minutes after we finished our soup and appetizer she looked in our direction from the bar, gasped a little in surprise, threw her hand/pointer finger up as if to say "oh! one moment" and then returned with our main meal. by this time, our other snackies had settled and we were full. all we wanted was a to-go box for the meal. we weren't complaining, we weren't seeking the manager, the dh just kindly explained "you know, its been such a length of time between our soup and appetizer and now our meal, it's all settled, and we just want a to-go box for it". the server/bartender then said, "yeah, you know, a lot of times people think it took really long to get their food, but i want to be like 'well, you waited a while to order, so it hasn't really been that long" she continued, "yeah, i want to be like, well, when you order at separate times, it just seems longer, but really, you just ordered your meal late..." NO. we did order a few minutes after she first visited our table, but we ordered all at the same time. we weren't complaining about the total time, we weren't complaining at all, we just said there was a long space between our app and meal, our food had settled and we just wanted to take it to go. and as previously stated, she really seems not to have had a consistent knowledge of what was going on-with her own table! between waiting about 10ish minutes after we ordered our soup to get it, her asking if we saved room for desert before we even had our meal, realizing even later after that we STILL didn't have our meal, and then "blaming us" for it taking so long, it was just awful. :( the food was awesome though, so i'll give an extra start for the yummy food.

It's ok. I had the soup and salad. Salad had dead parts and hairs. I pointed out the salad issue to the waiter and he removed it from the table. Soup was good but very thin on the first bowl. The second bowl was better. Not the first time that we've had issues at this location. Just sloppy restaurant not indicative of the chain.

While in Nashville visiting friends, they decided on Olive Garden. I'm kind of a food snob, so I try to avoid chains, especially when I travel, but I didn't want to be the complainer of the group. We headed off to the nearby Olive Garden. Our group of seven, five adults and two toddlers, was seated immediately. Our server, I think his name was Travis, was great. All of the adults ordered the salad, soup, & breadsticks, and we were never without. When the toddlers' food came out, he had the sense to send the other person helping him with the food back to the kitchen, so he wasn't serving them food on a scalding hot plate. Olive Garden is always consistent with the quality of food, and this location was no different.

I must say... I went here for my anniversary and I regretted that decision the moment we got there. 1) The host was getting yelled at by a manager in front of the host stand and at least 20 people (Being in the food industry, this turned me off fast). 2) The place was BRIGHT. No ambiance whatsoever even though it was 8 pm. 3) We were sat in a booth surrounded by large groups. I couldn't here myself thinking. I asked to move and she disregarded my desire. 4) Service was SLOW. The large table took up priority and they had there salad and breadsticks before we got anything and they were sat after us. (Note: the breadsticks are terribly dry and tasteless) 5) Both our meals were bland and well, just meh... My boyfriend gave his to me because he didn't like it at all. 6) Experienced a server being yelled at by a different manager behind our table. Strike. 7) The check. Too pricey for the experience. I am beginning to become anti-chain restaurants. This made me appreciate my hole-in-the-walls just a little bit more and so I say thank you Olive Garden.

Let me start by saying the food looks WAAAAY better on the commercials than it is in real life! I went there once several years ago and then again recently because I had a giftcard. First thing I didn't like was the atmosphere. Lame. Too many kids. Cheap looking. Too many windows with too many curtains! Our waiter wasn't un-friendly, but definitely didn't go out of his way to be super friendly either. The salad was pretty good, the bread tasted cheap, "frozen" and bland. Our entrees were just OK. The food is WAY over priced, as well. We will definitely NOT be returning.

Always good, consistent food and service at the Mt Juliet OG. I like that they have management presence and they come to your table to see how your experience was. Avoid the OG in Madison.

This place is just ok. The pasta was overcooked and drowning in sauce to hopefully cover up the store bought pasta taste. Got the tiramisu and it was served frozen and hard....wish I could find a good Italian place in Nashville without breaking the bank!!!! The reason it got 2 stars was that the Bruschetta was very good!

The beauty of a GOOD corporate chain restaurant - you always know what to expect when you choose to dine at Olive Garden. Great salad, breadsticks were a little too crusty but still delicious, and the cappelini pomodoro was fantastic as usual.

This OG is huge. One of the biggest I've been in. I'm guessing that's why our wait was 5 minutes on a Sunday at 1pm. Standard food and service.

Look, I appreciate the excellent Americanized interpretations and high food quality. But this is 5000 miles from Italy. Not close to authentic Italian nor the little Italian place down the street like in the Northeast or California. Call it good, call it inspired, but on behalf of Mama Tina and sister Sonia, this is not Italian. Love you both!

This restaurant is located in the Providence Shopping center, so you have something to do to walk the food off after you eat. The food there is great, it's typical OG food. Location is good and the food is great.

As a frequent traveler to Europe and having lived in Italy I can state with authority that the food at this restaurant is right on the money. Authentic dishes, food that melts in your mouth, and desserts like no other -- Olive Garden is an outstanding place to enjoy one of life's pleasures.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
