Outstanding eating experience. I took a large group there and service was very good. The sweet tea and warm garlic-cheese-chive biscuits were an excellent prelude to the main event. I took a group of university students and many said that this was the best food they'd eaten in a long time. Probably the best fried green 'maters I have ever eaten including those that I have made. My group raved over the fish-n-chips, steak, chicken cordon bleu, prime rib sandwich, and pot roast. I had the ribs and they were wonderful. The prices were amazing reasonable given the ambience, plating, and quality of the food. My only complaint was that I was too full to even consider ordering one of their pies. Amazing local eatery.

What a great find just off I-25 East. The cheddar biscuits were seved oven-warm. They were light and buttery. We had an order of fried green tomatoes that was a revelation. Warm, tangy, with a light and crunchy batter and served garnished with parsley and Parmesan cheese. I had the fried catfish, green beans (with bacon), and pinto beans (tomatoey). Again, though the fish was fried it was not at all greasy. The fillets were fluffy. The barbecue sandwich was another hit. The onion ball was toasted, the pulled pork was tender and juicy, with thick, sweet barbecue sauce. The sweet potato fries were a revelation--cut thin and seasoned with cinnamon, sugar and salt. Even the grilled chicken salad was tasty. Portions are huge and service is excellent. We definitely recommend this place.

This fun, little, place is great for southern classics, with a twist! They have some of the best fried green "maters" around. Their burgers are tasty, the price won't break the bank. They also have pretty friendly wait staff. If you're ever in the area give them a shot!!!

Friendly staff, fast service, plenty of seating. Had the sirloin. Cooked to exactly the correct doneness. Will definitely be back when im back this way.

Perfect discovery!! This place is off the main track but is well worth finding. The guy who owns this place used to work at a Cracker Barrel, then realized he could do it better. This place is awesome. It has a huge menu with a lot of variety. Everything I have tried here I have really liked. Here are a few things: Fried Mater BLT (fried green tomato BLT-DELICIOUS), Mountain Club Sandwich, BBQ Pork Sandwich, Chili, Chicken Velvet Soup, Meatloaf, etc. Service is always really good too! I really haven't found anything that I don't like so far. The desserts are also delicious. If you are anywhere close to here or just want to drive and see some beautiful scenery then go check this place out. I'm a fan! Cheers and Enjoy!

One word..."incredible"! Awesome food, service, and attention to customer needs. The prices were very reasonable. We started with the fried green maters, and they were wonderful! The Hawaiian steak was a life changing experience! The ribs were "fall off the bone" wonderful, and the chicken and dumplings were superb! This restaurant is a must when in Tennessee!

Definitely worth the hour drive from our cabin at Norris Lake! Start to finish everything was delicious. We tried the fried green maters and the fried macaroni balls ... Yummy! All 5 dinners were great and the staff was very friendly. The background Christian music made it even better. Awesome hometown restaurant!

This place was one of those finds that make your trip. We noticed it because it's lot was full of cars. Hmmm, must be something good inside. Yup. There was. The interior is very nice. Our waitress was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. We thought she was great. There were seven in our party and no one left hungry or unhappy. In fact, were were extremely happy. Here is the run down. Fried Green Tomatoes - Fantastic Spinach Dip - Yum Mayonnaise Biscuits - Yum Rack of ribs - Delicious Fried Okra - Pretty good but I've had better Sweet Potato - Average sweet potato - always good Tea - Glass never empty Sweet Potato Pie with ice cream - Damn! that's good Five Stars and I wish we had one in Houston!

First time customer here. Great food! Best potato salad I've ever eaten. Ranch beans were superb. Ham shank in bone was mouth watering and tender. Apple cobbler with ice cream very nice. Other homemade desserts were enticing though I did not try them. Atmosphere was down home friendly. Excellent service ( Thanks Ruth). Get there early because IT IS POPULAR. Highly recommended and we will return ASAP.

My mother and sisters just finished lunch here, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Our favorites: collard greens, baked squash, sweet potato fries, garlic biscuits, ranch beans, strawberry shortcake, fudge pie, peanut butter pie. Every single thing we ate was delicious. Also, we rarely have a chance to get together, so we sat and talked for two hours after eating. They were not in a hurry for us to leave, and they gave us refills and let us enjoy each other's company. We will come back many times. Thank you for a perfect meal.
