I had heard about this place for awhile and finally got a chance to check it out. I was shocked when we pulled into the parking lot. Close to 1 pm on a Wednesday and it was full! We had to circle twice to find a spot. I almost let that deter me, but I'm glad I didn't. There was a sign out reading "Please Seat Yourself" and we quickly found an empty table despite it being crowded. Someone came over right away and took our drink order. I took my time on the menu, since it was my first time, and finally decided on the Buffalo Chicken Sliders. The server acknowledged that they were an awesome choice. The food came out pretty quickly, despite the large lunch crowd. And they were delicious! I got the home fries with mine....not super impressive but still pretty solid (I like to think of myself as something of a fry aficionado) The place was packed, yet we still got great service. Our drinks never got more than half empty. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak (Which I tried...it was amazing) and potato casserole (which I also tried and was amazing). The bread looked to die for, but he scarfed it down before I had a chance to try that. All in all, it was a great experience! I can't wait to go back...I already know what I'll try- the jalepeno cream cheese burger!

Decent food, and laid back atmosphere. They have plate lunches which are available all day. If your not into the plate lunches, there are a wide variety of sandwiches. There are also weekly specials, which are always changing. Great friendly place to go with family or with friends.

Went here because of a Groupon.com deal. VERY pleased we got to experience this place. The food was great, very casual environment, great customer service.

My friend and I had been wanting to try Patrick's for awhile. The atmosphere is very different than expected -- more like a bar or pub, which was actually a nice surprise. However, the food was incredibly disappointing, especially considering the price. The cheese dip was basically just Velveeta. I ordered the seafood alfredo, which I was told has been discontinued, so I instead had the blackened chicken pasta. The sauce was very watery and the pasta overcooked. My friend ordered the rib-eye, which they were also out of, as well as the sirloin. He ended up having pork tenderloin, which was actually very good. We had also been looking forward to drinking with our meal, but most of the beer was not on draft, and there were no heavier drinks. The service was fine, but not exceptional by any means. Overall, Patrick's is probably a great place to have a beer and watch a game, but not where you want to go for a real meal. We spent over $70 and had neither steak, nor real spirits.

Stopped in for lunch and thought the Ruben sandwich was one of the best I have ever had. My husband had chicken fried steak which was ok but nothing special. We opted for the pecan cobbler for dessert, glad we did ....it was amazing.

Overpriced beer-joint with attitude of 5 star nose in the air Bistro. But without the quality food. Place had about 15 customers in the dining room and a dozen or so drunks in the bar screaming "f bombs"and cursing the game on TV. The grilled chicken salad was mostly moist lettuce with brown edges. The Grilled Chicken was RAW!!!! Crackers stale. It took 75 minutes before waitress on new shift brought drink refill. And never spoke or acknowledged my presence. Restrooms smell of urine and the place is filthy. The air fans on the floor so don't trip.

Uhmmmm, so it's 12:30AM. We just walked in and the guy said they were closing. It's supposed to close at 3AM. That's 2 & 1/2 hours before the actual closing time. ...Aaaand we drove out about 20 minutes to get some late night food. Yeah. That's a huge fail in my book. Attention management. Go to E's Cafe right across the street! The food is good, we're there right now and they're open late, you know, like their hours actually say.

I have driven by this restaurant I can't tell you how many times and on this day we decided to try it for dinner. They make a darn good hamburger. My daughter ordered the grown-up grilled cheese and she really enjoyed it. The server was hard to find at times but when she was around she was very friendly and kind. She was just assigned way too many tables. The restaurant is clean but the Decor is extremely outdated. The prices are very reasonable. So if you want someplace to go without dressing up and without spending a lot of money for a decent burger or grilled cheese consider trying this restaurant.

Quick lunch service. Food was hot and tasty. Fried eggplant was great. Cornbread was a little dry and cold, but all else was great.

Patrick's now carries sliders. Tried the classic, buffalo chicken, and Cajun prime rib. They were all delicious! Order comes with three. So if you are there with two other people, everyone order a different one and try one of each like I did! Jus another reason to enjoy going to my favorite neighborhood hang out.

We went here last night with my parents to watch the Grizzlies game. It was decent, but I don't have to go back. We started with the cheese dip and salsa appetizer, but it wasn't that great. I had the prime rib sliders with a side of curly fries. They were typical bar food, but I do have to say that the cajun gravy sauce was great. It was like having brown gravy, but super spicy. I loved it! My husband wasn't too crazy about his steak, but his loaded baked potato was pretty tasty. How can you mess up a potato, though? :)

Love the food. Service is pretty good. There one waitress I get mostly that isn't pleasant but everyone is really is nice. The daily specials are very good and decently priced. Kids eat free on Thursday nights. The steaks are incredible.

Went to Patricks on 6/7 and was very happy with my experience there! I ordered the Buffalo Blue burger and the combinations of flavors were really good. I've had burgers with blue cheese before but this one seems to stand out above the rest and I would definitely recommend it to others. I asked for the burger well done but there was still some pink, however since the burger had such a great taste this didn't bother me too much. The waitress I had was very attentive, answered my questions and provided great service. I would come here again.

This place was super good. I love the down home atmosphere. The server was so sweet and he had great recommendations. I got the baked chicken with creamed spinach and potato casserole. Everything had a great flavor and the chicken was really moist. Check it out!

Ever since Jack Magoo's closed down, I've been hard pressed to find an establishment that I enjoy watching football games at. For some reason, the wings at BWW always makes me sick (specifically them, which is sad because I actually like them), and other local establishments haven't done it for me for one reason or another. We decided to give this place a try for Sunday Night Football. We walk in and take a seat in a room with a giant television airing the game, which is a plus already. Audio is being played in the bar but not in the general restaurant area; rather, they are playing music. The restaurant was relatively empty at the time, so we asked our server if they could play the game sound in the room we were in, and although this is apparently not a norm for them, they did it for us (which was greatly appreciated). For an appetizer, we got the buffalo corn-cheese dip, which was excellent. It was not too spicy and the different flavors balanced out well (you could taste the corn, cheese, and buffalo). My only gripe on it was that the portion was rather small, especially for the $8 price point. However, it was good nonetheless. For dinner, I had the buffalo bleu cheese burger with curly fries. The curly fries were great and would definitely order those again. The burger...was honestly not for me. Apparently Memphians love Patrick's burgers, but the buffalo sauce tasted more like straight-up hot-sauce, the bleu cheese was minimal, the burger was undercooked (I ordered medium) the general flavor of the meat didn't work for me, and the roll (in substitution for buns) it was served on was cold. I had a bite of my girlfriend's chicken and it was certainly better; I'll probably opt for that next time. The service was definitely friendly here, which was a great bonus. The price for the entrees were reasonable as well. While I'll probably look for other places to watch the game, I'll definitely keep this place as part of my game-watching rotation and try other entrees.

I hate that my last couple of reviews have been about what's not great versus what is. Unfortunately this is going to be more of the same. Food was just ok not great. I ordered curly fries not house when the house fries showed up with the burger I asked for the curly that I ordered. While they apologized I guess that was the end of it since I never got the new fries. The table had an order of cheese dip which was just ok. Service was definitely focused on the "regulars", on the plus side the draft beer is crazy cold!!! Lastly how can you be a sports bar with like 5 tv's in the entire place with one of the ones in the area is all jacked up??

Best service and bar in town! I go here every possible chance I can. Really gives off a "cheers" type vibe. I definitely recommend the bar area over the regular seating if you're of age. I have created a tradition of getting Patrick's the eve of every major holiday!

@PatricksMemphis is straight up good ole' home cookin'/comfort food that also boasts the treasured and elusive late night kitchen (I'm talking 1 am y'all) - and I absolutely love it. Their nachos, fried pickles, and burgers are seriously out of this world

We dined at Patricks for dinner before a movie at Ridgeway. No problem getting a table at 6 on a Friday night and we had very attentive service. This is by no means white tablecloth, but I like the mix of appetizers, burgers and sandwiches as well as entrees and daily specials. Our group had the Reuben, the Mempho, Pizza Florentine and a special Salmon Croquettes. I can only speak for the pizza. The toppings were great, but the tortilla crust was overdone. I know my MIL was not that impressed with the croquettes and Mac n cheese, but she is rarely impressed. The spouse said the Mempho was OK. Overall a solid choice for pub food and more.

I have been to Patrick's many times but yesterday's lunch was only the second time I ever ordered food. There are a lot of interesting things on the menu like smoked turkey quesadillas and bacon cheeseburger meatloaf. I've heard from several people the Patrick's has fantastic burgers so I decided to give one a try. I went with the original Patrick's burger but I added cheddar cheese and bacon. I swapped the fries for a side salad. The salad came out before the burger which was ideal for me since I was pretty hungry at the time. The house-made blue cheese dressing was full of cheese crumbles. Yum! I was impressed. I had ordered my burger cooked medium and was pleasantly surprised to see that it actually WAS medium. A lot of restaurants in this town cook the heck out of the patty even when medium temperature is requested. The patty was also well seasoned. I thought the bacon could have been better. The only complaint I have is minor... My burger was served to me with one little packet of mayo and a bottle of mustard. I'm a mayo fan so I ended up finishing that little packet and requesting more. The server came back with one more little packet of mayo. *Sigh* Why are we being so stingy with the mayo? And, why do we have bottles of mustard but packets of mayo?

Mike Miller is one cool dude. He is a hands-on owner and quite generous with his time in the hospitality community. The food is good, the bar patrons (earlier in the evening) are nice and somewhat dynamic. The bartenders are cool with quick service. Lastly, the prices are right. It's really simple to like a place that isn't a rip-off. Once the blazing summer heat is passed, the patio is a great amenity.

This place was just OK. I realize it is "comfort food" but it just all seemed lackluster to me. I got the Buffalo Burger which is just a burger with blue cheese and Buffalo sauce poured on and then cooked for roughly 20 seconds. Seriously, very pink in the middle and I was not asked my preference for doneness. Multiple people in my party experienced the same thing with burgers. Taste was good and fries were decent. But a bit over priced at $9 for the quality of food.

Great burger. Prepared as I asked. Set off with a little kick to really excite the taste buds. Very local bar atmosphere with a hint of Irish cheer and humor. Nice selection of beer on tap and the ball game on for viewing pleasure.

Went to Patricks on 5/12. My friend and I sat at the bar and I ordered a chicken caesar and he, the bologne sandwich. My chicken was terribly burned and the Caesar salad was the worst I've ever had. My friend had a few bites of his sandwich before he realized how burnt it was so excuse the half eaten sandwich photo. I just let it slide until I realized the manager was sitting at the bar right near us watching sports I think. I explained to him , I believe his name is John, that I just wanted him to be aware of the burnt food and also that the bartender was very aloof and non attentive. His remark was " well what do you want him to have a conversation with you ?" Or something along those lines. I thought it was odd but he comped our meals and that was it. Overall, the experience was pretty shady to say the least . I want to give them another chance but I'm not sure if the care about the establishment enough for me to return.

Our server was extremely tentative to our group of six and took our orders efficiently and accurately. My friend had a burger served on a donut which may sound gross but he lamented that it was the most delicious burger ever. Shortly after he got a leg spasm and stomach constriction. I think it was only due to the overwhelming flavor of the donut, fried egg, burger and curly fries. I had a regular burger which was pretty good. The curly fries were very tasty. Would recommend for families and groups of friends. The patio looked pretty nice but I did not experience that part of Patricks.

Want a good family meal? Can't go wrong at Patrick's! From the big juicy cheese burgers to the home cooking and BBQ nachos, Patrick's is a can't miss for lunch or dinner with the kids! The decor is pretty cool with memorabilia that highlights Memphis history. Go check it out!

I have made a few return trips to Patrick's since my original review. Had I stuck with the hamburgers and fries I probably would have stayed with 3 stars. But I strayed. My mistake and one I hope to keep you from making. Sunday afternoon about 4:30, I order a 12 oz. rib-eye, baked potato and Caesar salad. No baked potatoes before 5:00 pm I was told so I settled for mashed. Soon my salad was placed before me and at a glance I knew I was going to be disappointed. I was correct. A small bowl of warm limp lettuce. A few crumbs of what used to be croutons, no Parmesan and a humble splash of dressing. Most was left undisturbed as the bowl was taken away. My steak was delivered and again visually disappointing and proved even more disappointing as I took my first bite. SAGE! That is what my first bite tasted of, SAGE and that is all I could taste. The steak was topped with a sage butter sauce that was very overwhelming. An unexpected and unwanted surprise. Who puts sage on a steak? This topping was not mentioned on the menu or I would have opted out. Also I could buy a much better cut of meat at Kroger. The mashed potatoes had potential but were tepid at best. Two cornbread muffins served were hard and dry. Patrick's serves a decent burger with crisp and fresh fries. I wouldn't venture much further on the menu than that.

This was my second time dining here, and I still can't wrap my brain around the low reviews. I'm a firm believer that you review an establishment based on what it is. Regardless of how they spin themselves, Patrick's to me is nothing but a bar with bar food. I would never go here and order a meat and 3 or a dinner option (though if I had my way, there would be more establishments in Memphis that could do both the bar menu and dinner menu with grace and ease.) Patrick's definitely excels in the bar, sandwich and finger food category. I love the silly, fun atmosphere- the vintage memorabilia and signs covering every square inch of the walls are fabulous. I also have yet to experience the terrible service. On both occasions, my servers have gone above and beyond. Today I had the Reuben with curly fries and my friend and I split the fried pickle appetizer. The fried pickles? Fabulous- they use the ridged pickle slices which are my favorite choice when it comes to frying them. The Reuben was delicious as well. Filled to the gills with corned beef, Swiss and sauerkraut with the thousand island served on the side. Their curly fries are delicious, and are a throwback to my high school lunch when everyone got ridiculously excited about curly fry day. They are curly fries for pete's sake! Aside from the tater tot- not much else tops them when it comes to serving fried potatoes. My friend ordered their burger and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I will definitely be back to Patrick's in the near future. I love their out door patio and can't wait till it warms up a bit so I can test it out. The bar would be a great place to take in a game and a bucket of beers with a group of friends. I just can't see what's not to like about Patrick's.

Food is tasty but nothing special... aside from actually getting a real medium rare instead of medium well most other restaurants/bars give me. Service is interesting, can be friendly, LOVE THE ACCENTS. The place has a nice patio can't believe its been here all this time and this is the first I've been. Wasn't very lively when I came, their family night seems to be misscheduled but maybe I'll come in and see. Great neighborhood hangout imo

Nothing better in on St Paddy's Day than to find Patrick's! A real mixed crowd of all ages, good band from 6p-8p, green PBR at $2, beautiful weather and a party tent outside too. We ate some irish offerings: corned beef sliders and fish & chips...both good bar food. AND we had an IRISH gal as a waitress! (But she kept calling me a LAD....as someone with a DD bra size since high school, my makeup on, styled/sprayed hair-do...I was pissed! What the Hell???) Crazy busy small parking lot. Outside bar couldn't get it together to change kegs without huge delays.

Came for some food around 10 pm on a Friday night. Walked inside and then to the patio. Nobody came outside to see if we wanted anything. Walked back inside to find someone who worked there, and there was no one even behind the bar. Apparently they didn't want our business.

If I could give 3.5 stars, ,that's what I would have done. My food was made correctly and it tasted delicious (the Turkey Quesadilla) and they do have quite a few options, but I guess what brought my review down was service. Yeah, it's not too easy on the eyes, but for a bar it's actually pretty clean. I like the atmosphere and the familiarity most customers seem to have with the wait staff. However, our waitress was clumsy and didn't tell us anything about any specials or soup of the day. For example, after we ordered we saw just about every table around us getting a crap ton of crab legs. Since when are crab legs served at a bar? They weren't on the menu, and they weren't put on the specials list, so it must be that the served didn't tell us about the all you can eat crab leg special of the day. I can almost guarantee multiple persons at my table would have utilized that knowledge when deciding what to order. Regardless, I enjoyed MY. I've heard fun things about "The Mempho" sandwich but have yet to experience the greatness. Anyway, I will go back, but probably not a recommendation I would really give out.

Great food and wonderful staff. Between their home cooked plates, adult grilled cheese, soups and burgers, it's hard to choose a favorite! Great patio for the nicer days and plenty of TVs to watch sports and keep warm when it's cold. Love this place!!!

Last time I ate at Patrick's I noticed the anti-Obama stuff behind the bar was gone (or at least I didn't see any). I don't know if my review had anything to do with it, but I just wanted to express my thanks. Also, tried the One-Eyed Jack (with bacon) and loved it. Highly recommend!

I'm a sucker for "meat and three" type places, so I keep stumbling into Patrick's after I've had a long period to forget my previous disappointment; six months normally is enough. This last time, I wanted the fried chicken, but they won't let me choose white or dark meat, unlike just about every other restaurant in the nation that serves fried chicken. So right off the bat, they look uncooperative. I ordered the chopped beef steak instead, which turned out to be nothing other than one of their hamburger patties served without the bun. Unimpressive. The dinner rolls they provided were 1 dinner roll, which tasted like it was heat and serve, which is a major step down from the restaurant that was there before, Buntyn's. If one of these type of places would put a little effort in, I'd eat there several days per week.

I visited this place for the first time on a recent Sunday afternoon with some friends following a movie. We ate outside on the patio. Food: I know Patrick's brands itself as a steak place, but I tried one of their sandwiches because it sounded interesting. It's called the Mempho; here's how they sell it: "Elvis would have loved this! A slab of our rich, creamy mac'n'cheese grilled on white pullman bread with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions and pulled pork with our house BBQ sauce on the side." It was definitely different, but incredibly delicious. One of my friends said it's the best mac n' cheese in town, and I don't disagree. I also hear their crab leg special is very good when they have them. I think the sandwich tells me the rest of their menu is worth trying. Drink: I was drinking Crown Royal on the rocks, so it's hard to say much about the drinks, but the prices and size of their pours seemed reasonable. Atmosphere: the building looks like a big house. Everything is very casual and comfortable. It's nothing fancy, but it does make you feel like you can sit back and relax. They also have a nice little outdoor patio overlooking a nice park which I think is a great addition to any restaurant. Service: I can only hope our server was telling the truth when she said she had about 25 tables because our service was really bad. Maybe the manager just forgot to schedule people or people called in sick, but an understaffed restaurant is never a good thing. It took us forever to get anything. I'm not sure how it is inside the restaurant, but the patio service was terrible. Almost bad enough to prevent me from returning. Bottom line: worth trying. Prices are reasonable, and if the weather's nice the patio is lovely. Just make sure you come with all the patience you have in case your service is as bad as mine was.

We've been to Patricks about 20 times over the last 3 years. Have not been in about 7 months due to living in midtown now and no longer residing right down the street. In our experience the service is usually consistently good. Never had a food order wrong or have the food come out unacceptable. Sounds weird but we really enjoy their fish tacos. There is a baja sauce that you have to ask for which IMO complements the fish tacos very well. If it isn't fish tacos I usually go for the fried chicken. Again, probably not the place you would expect for good fish tacos but they are delish. I try to provide balanced reviews but I can not think of a single negative besides they do not have franks hot sauce available.

Patrick's is a great place for a plate lunch- meat with two veggies. They have my favorite special on Mondays-chicken and dumplings. I have been here several times for lunch and I'm never disappointed with the plate lunches- the veggies are always fresh. They also have fun events during the week- Trivia nights on Wed and live music on the patio on Thursdays.

Great hamburgers...the bun is sweet somehow. The fried pickles with horseradish are also awesome. The sausage and cheese plate is nothing to write home about. I was told the steak sandwich and yardbird sandwich (bbq chicken w/cheese and onions) were both really good too. You never have to wait at Patrick's, and service is efficient and unobtrusive, and prices are pretty great. A hamburger for $4.75 (doesn't include fries) works for me. They have a patio too that would be great this time of year...my party was not interested in sitting on the patio or I certainly would have.

Tonight my daughter and I took a different route home as we had to visit a store to pick some things up. On the way I noticed Patricks on Park street . I pass by it a fair amount of the time and thought it might be a good time to give it a try as we were both hungry. It's pretty non-descript on the outside. Inside there was a bar on the left and seat yourself sign straight ahead. We entered the dining area and it was pretty large. It had vinyl table covers, a concrete floor and the rest of the decor was rather dated. It appeared to be a place frequented by maybe more long term residents. After we sat we were handed a menu and a hello. I asked for a glass of Cabernet to sip while we looked at it. I asked for the restaurants "specialties" and they indicated that pork chops & crab cakes were both good. I saw buttered noodles on the kids menu (a fav. of my daughter) and ordered that for her and the pork chop for myself. They had a number of veggies to choose from - all starches save the green beans, so we ordered the green beans and some potato salad. The Cabernet came and I took a sip. It wasn't good, I had a couple more sips just to make sure. Yes, it was bad. It had been sitting out for a while at the bar or it was the worst wine ever. I asked them to take it away, they didn't offer an alternate. The meal came a bit later. They initially forgot my daughters order and brought me "extra" green beans. They must have been on special. I took a bite of the beans, clearly out of a can. I took a second bit, yes definitely out of a can. Del Monte beans in a can are a step up from these, soft and mushy..yuck. While I nibble on the chops (the palatable part of my meal), I notice my daughter staring at the noodles. She does't like them, and decides to add Parmesan cheese "Parmesan cheese makes everything taste better".... that is until today "I don't like this Daddy, this tastes bad". I tell her we don't have to finish. " We try new things on occasion and the worst thing that happens is we don't like it, and today is one of those days". She indicates "we are never coming back". I second that motion and we leave. We are now eating Peanut Butter and Nutella sanwiches, much better. I recommend eating elsewhere, anywhere else, save your money and have a frozen meal but don't eat here. Patrick's is the reason chain restaurants thrive. This was truly some of the most miserable food I have had.

If you are looking for a "down home" kind of meal, then this is your place. It doesnt get the public recognition as a Corky's or a Rendevous, but its good quality food. They have daily lunch specials during the week, and usually there is not a wait. All of my friends get a "meat and three" or a veggie plate. True southern hospitality
