what?? bad reviews for olive garden??? haha. well my family and i love olive garden. yes it's a chain but everything we've ordered is usually pretty good. service was only bad once, but we've been here tons of times & never had any other problems. love their unlimited bread, salad or soup that comes w/ the dinner. although those will usually fill us up before dinner even comes. wait times vary from 30 mins to an hour over the weekends. the whole restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. i have nothing to complain about. we love olive garden.

I ordered ahead for take out. I was promptly greeted but, from there on out everything was rushed. The only problem was it still took about 6mins to get my food I had ordered prior to me getting there and there was only 2 customer orders ahead of me and about 6 employees standing around. That leaves me to wonder why so rushed? The only thing I can think of is a lack of customer service but, it was OK not bad or great. My salad had banana peppers on it which the online menu didn't mention or else I would've said heck no! And my flat bread had no peppers when it was supposed to. All and all very sloppily prepared and lack luster. I don't expect my food to look like the menu but, a resemblance would be nice.

I hesitate to even give it one star except for the fact we felt so sorry for the girl working take out. We ordered & paid online 3 hours ahead of time and still our order was not even close to being ready at pick up time. One person working take out w a long line, yet 4 people working the hostess station giggling w seemingly nothing to do.

It's really unfortunate to give Olive Garden two stars, the food is always great. But this particular location has bad service, which is really disappoint because it is do close to my home. I would highly suggest a different location.

The service was horrible no water served and order taken for 20 mins. However I finally had water served and order was taken. Strangely the food was out in 5 mins from the time order was take. The food was nice only the meat ball spagetti was very dry. Dont mind going again to this place to improve my experience.

It's good with family orientated even near the bar area.

For me, Olive Garden is consistently bad, but this one is the worst of all I've been to. There is always a wait, mostly because people finish their meals and decide to have social time. Horrible service the three times I've visited. Never again will I go to a Olive Garden, this one ruined it for me.

Excellent service with equally excellent food. Great new ordering and payment system right from your table. Had a great time with the family and everyone left full and happy. Look forward to returning again soon.

Been here several times. Can't comment on the service like other reviewers since I always sit at the bar. That's why I sit at the bar, for the service. Other reviewers compliment because their food came out quickly. I appreciate it taking a while, then I feel like it was cooked fresh and not cooked earlier then nuked for me. Once my lasagna came out with my salad. I knew it was reheated. Colettas spoiled me by making me wait 20 mins. so I knew it was just baked. So sometimes the food is just so so but it is a chain restaurant. Today, the food was really good. I had the Tour of Italy & everything was delicious!! Alex at the bar was awesome. To the one reviewer that said even the bar area was family friendly, NO it's not. Take your loud kids to Chuck E Cheese

Family oriented with great service. I ordered eggplant Parmesan which appeared to be composed last minute back of house. Two thin soggy slices of breaded eggplant with a dollop of marinara. Small portion of spaghetti. Came with choice of salad or soup. I chose minestrone which was mostly small shell mac and beans. Not the way I remembered it from last time. So basically service is always great but food can be good or mediocre. It was late afternoon.

They food was good. My friend and I went for lunch. We sat at the bar and she was so friendly. It didn't take long to get our food. It was hot and well prepared.

So we walk in and we're immediately greeted!! Off to a great start!! We get sat and immediately our server walks up and takes our drink orders!! We get our drinks but we're not ready to order. Our server patiently waits for us to be ready. We call him back over and he takes our order... A few moments later the manager comes and greets us like we're famous... He even held friendly conversation. He tells us to enjoy our food and proceeds to walk away. Our food comes in a timely manner... There was a little hick up with my friends chicken and my lasagna. He got the manager John over here and John took care of it quickly!!! John and our server Amiel were awesome sauce!!! Go to the Olive Garden on 64!!! They'll be great to you!!

Ok, I know this is a chain restaurant, but my family LOVES their salads. We buy a jumbo salad and munch on it for several days probably once a month. With that being said, I called in a to-go order of $71.00 (SEVENTY ONE!!!) dollars worth of food today. I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes...50 minutes later and my order is supposedly finally ready. I haphazardly glance through the bag (because I had a baby on one hip, y'all) and had to ask for several things (sauces that went with appetizers, utensils, etc.). Once I get home and unpack everyone's food, OF COURSE, the Alfredo dipping sauce appetizer we ordered was missing (but we were definitely charged for it). There's NO WAY I was going to pack a baby back up and drive ALL the way back to the restaurant. Not to mention, I tried to order online before I ever even called the order in (because I received a coupon via email that could only be used if you ordered online) only to have the website continuously time out. The lady working the to-go counter was rude and acted as if she didn't really want a job. AND---there was broken glass in my parking spot. We are officially done with you, Olive Garden, and now we have 800 extra bread sticks and no dipping sauce. Thanks for the reminder of what mediocrity chain restaurants usually are.

I've been here three times and had tediously slow service every time. The service is friendly though--when you get some. I just tried it again and received the same thing I've gotten before--good food and abysmally slow service. Although the spaghetti was dry like it had been left out, everything else was fantastic. Try one of the new salads as well; for a few dollars more you really up your salad experience.

If you have any issues, ask for the manager. I did a catering meal from here and they forgot my 4 dozen bread sticks. Now this did not kill my meal, but did put me at a disadvantage with some of the ladies who were looking for that salad combo. I returned a few hours later and the manager appologized again and offered me a $25 gift card for a follow up meal. They cant fix your problem unless you let them know about it.

It is fun to visit The Olive Garden every now and then. The food is delicious. I am a fan of their unlimited soup, salad, and bread. They currently have their 3 Course Italian Dinner for 12.95, which nets you their Soup/Salad, Entree, and Desert. We had the salad, both soups (dumpling and sausage), and the two entrees we had were the Pene Shrimp with Scallop Pasta and the Chicken Pasta. Both entrees were tasty. The deserts we had were the Strawberry with White Chocolate Shot. By the end of the meal, we were happily satisfied. The server was nice, and always made sure we were tended for.

This Olive Garden is exactly what you expect from an Olive Garden - decent Italian food for an okay price. Nothing exceptional.

I don't know why this place is always packed. The minestrone soup was more like bean soup. Salad was good.

I went to dinner with my family yesterday at the Olive Garden. It was my choice. I can't explain it, for some reason, I had a taste for the Olive Garden. I have not eaten there in awhile. I used the call in advance service and upon our arrival, there was no wait (Yea, it worked). The atmosphere was cool and our service was good. My wife order came with shrimp that were overlooked and they forgot to bring her Broccoli. The server made sure that the corrections were done and we enjoyed the rest of our meal. I like that they have added wheat pasta and some low calorie food items.

I love and miss The Olive Garden. This location is insanely crowded all of the time. My love for the soup and salad deal runs deep. Their minestrone soup is even okay to my Italian friend, who is muy picky. And don't forget the awesome dressing on the fresh salad. AND the breadsticks. All amazing. Personally, I do not like the McOlive Garden selections that they add to the pasta menu. I'm pretty sure that some of them are the faux Italian equivalent of the KFC Double Down. That written, their bar is good and their house wine is incredibly strong. Not the best, but it works. Basically, I realized that their salad is soup is so good that it overrides my general dislike for the rest of the place. One negative, getting the soup/salad/breadsticks as take-out is a bad idea. It's like $9ish and you obviously cannot get refills, so it = rip-off. Definitely eat in.

I've just experienced the worst service ever from this Olive Garden. It use to be a nice place to goto, now it's just a rip off. Everything is going down hill. Service was lousy and the portions of food for the money were poor!

I've never been a fan of any of the Darden chain of restaurants. Red lobster, olive garden, Bahama breeze etc. Back in 2007 Darden sold off their best restaurant (IMO) Smokey Bones. Which i was crazy about. So I wasn't expecting much coming in. Either they need to hire more wait staff or go back to previous years sales numbers and try to estimate how many people to put on a schedule. i see maybe 4. The place is packed, and our server is in the weeds. For those of you with non restaurant service background that means chicken head cut off busy. She's not that polite either, otherwise the poor service could be indicative to the sheer amount of people here. I order the pan fried chicken baked ziti on special. My food eventually comes after i eat enough bread for 4 people. 2 kids meal chicken tenders on top of a small handfull of spinach and ravioli. Trying to bounce a little wit on a no sense of humor waitress i say, " i ordered the adult portion". Not even a cracked smile. So i grab my imaginary neck tie by the knot give it a left to right and move on. Thankfully i had 5 - 6 breadsticks or i would not have been able to eat like an american this evening. I still left the standard 18% which i always do at least. Mostly due to coming from the restaurant world myself and having been in her shoes. I will not be going back to this particular location unless dragged. Which means ill probably be back next week.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
