This is specifically for the Krystal on Poplar accross from East High School. And really it's specifically for Sunday's around noon. I've been here a few times on Sunday right around noon or a little after (cause it's one of the only places in town that's not crazy busy with the church crowd at that time) and it's always been really good. Good food, good service and clean restaurant...plus it's cheap. What more could you want?

Customer service was sub par. Barely acknowledged me. I just struggled it off, understanding sometimes people can be having bad days. But the food, blah. The food must of been having a bad day too... No, a bad week. Bad break up maybe? Who knows. Few bites of its Soggy, grey meat attitude, and it found itself in the trash. Taste was bland, besides tasting the pickles. Skip this place, unless you need some quick old, soggy, beer-blocking calories. Or better yet, Don't. You'll find yourself with two regrets, instead of just the too-many-drinks one.

Yummie for my tummy, yes! Hard on my heart? All I know is how good a start, The value meal is on feeding my hunger. I love these little burgers, fries so crisp, I just can't have too many or I'll talk with a lisp!

Somethings in life are just guaranteed. If I'm in the South with my Mom, we're going to be eating at a Krystal. Since moving away from Memphis decades ago, its been one of the things she's always looked forward to from her childhood when she returns. And so lunchtime a few weeks ago found me sitting here with her and my aunt, listening to them reminisce about growing up in the area as we munched on our Krystals. The little sliders were OK (I always have to smile and nod around Mom as I'm more a White Castle fan). Two cheese Krystals, a medium fry, and a soda made a good snack/meal at a reasonable cost before heading off to the airport. The dining area was clean and nice with a mix of regular and high-top tables. I wish the service had been a bit better. The cashier charged me for a medium soda when I'd ordered a small (I noticed later) and grumbled when we asked about the order of fries that was missing when we received our food. With an exaggerated sigh she made a bit of a production going back to the register to pull up the transaction to make sure we'd actually ordered 2 fries before actually giving us the 2nd one. Oh well, not every day is service with a smile apparently.

They have really been on the ball lately; food tastes good, no mess ups on the orders, doesn't take forever, clean, & great service. The guy went out of his way to bring my food to me...I appreciated it a lot. I guess you get resigned to such crappy service it's a big deal when someone actually shows they care about doing a good job.
