I went by here on my way up to Knoxville. It was about 9 pm, so not terribly late. The service was slloooww, and the food is mediocre. I shared a corn dog, and it didn't have much flavor -- too much breading to hot dog ratio. The one upside is you can get a shit ton of A&W root beer here.

We drive about 30 miles to enjoy this drive-in.....what a wonderful place, like stepping back in time to enjoy a Papa Burger and a cold A & W root beer, which is the very best root beer on earth, in my opinion. The service is okay, the burgers are good and meaty, tastes like a Mom and Pop burger joint would make. Yes, you sit in your car and eat, push the button and order the food, they bring it out....It has always been prompt on our visits. The root beer milkshakes are awesome and soooo filling, you will feel stuffed all day !! The fries are okay, nothing special.....we have even ordered a gallon of root beer to go, which did take a few minutes for them to prepare. They apparently have a classic car "drive in" on Saturday evenings I think the sign says......show off your classic car I guess.... Anyway, we'll be going back.

This one of the few A&W drive ins left! I love the nostalgia of drive ins. The food is ok but I really enjoy the desserts! Always super friendly service and quite quick to get your food. I know everyone probably has an A&W near them but my advice is take a drive down 411 and stop here for shake. I've read that they are closing several A&W's and I just hope they leave this one alone!

I stop by here on my way to visit family in near by Maryville, Several times over the years since about '95. Not really sure why or how, but this old time drive in location always has the freshest and most flavorful tasting A&W Root Beer I have ever had. My review is based on that alone. I have never once eaten here, or had bad or slow service. My rating is straight up if you are a connoisseur of Root Beer then you have to swing by. I always purchase a gallon jug of it. This does not taste like the commercial store version, or the cans or bottles at the quickie mart. The flavor profiles are what you would expect true Root Beer to taste like.

I love the A&W and Long Johns chain but this one is just awful. The food was served with an extra side of grease and the service was slow, but they are nice.

We came here late, while driving to Knoxville. There were all of 3 cars, including mine and yet somehow, they took foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeever. The food here is what you expect it to be, fast food terribleness, but that A&W root beer makes up for it.
