Love this place. Great food. Great service. Reasonable prices. Growing up in Texas where Mexican Restaurants are on almost every corner El Rodeo brings the quality of food and service I was accustom too. The Chiefs Special is my favorite. Salad, burrito ( chicken, beef or seafood. Your choice ) Rice or beans. A generous amount of thin cut excellent flavored beef. $10.99. You want leave hungry or disappointed. Always quickly seated. Waited on and never have to ask for your refill of drinks because they are there taking care of you. Always smiling and very nice.

I dropped in after Yelping for Mexican food while passing through LaVergne. I was very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff, uniqueness of the menu and the great taste / quality of the food. I'm sure I'll be tempted in the future to drive the long distance from home to come back here!

My wife and I have been going to El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant for about 10 years and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly. Our order has (literally) been correct every time. The decor is nice. Prices are competitive. Between the two of us, we have tried most items on the menu and have not found anything we didn't like. Sometimes the margaritas can be a little strong (not that that's a bad thing...lol). No complaints at all. We love the food and the experience.

Good selection, good size portions, good prices. And better than cozumel because they don't use that nasty shredded chicken "pieces," cover everything in black pepper, and you don't smell like dirty restaurant kitchen when you leave.

Fajitas were great, chips and and salsa pretty normal. Atmosphere was pretty bland. Very crowded. Noone beats Smyrnas Cozumels!!!

Though my boyfriend would give this place a 10 star rating, I'm going to stick with 4. The lunch prices are really great, especially if you're interesting in the pick of the day. I always have the chicken fajitas, which never fail to please me! The veggies are always fresh and the chicken is spiced just great. Plus, who can resist free chips and salsa (good salsa, too!)? The wait-staff is pretty good, too, and are ok with me and my boyfriend having picky orders. Overall, a great place for a good lunch deal.

First time to El Rodeo.....highly impressed with how fast they had our food ready and how incredible the food tasted. Meals are priced really well. Friendly staff....they picked up anew customer after last night.

I will say the food is not too bad but I don't think I have had an order that has been correct yet.....the salsa is good and guacamole was fresh but the cheese dip is usually a little clumpy from sitting. I gave them three stars for taste but I would make sure they understand your order.

I live in La Vergne and wanted lunch, but didn't feel like driving over to Smyrna to get some decent grub, so I decided I'd give this place a try. I ordered three chicken tacos. Water poured from all three of my tacos as I ate them. I'm not entirely sure how one unintentionally makes a watery taco; perhaps the chicken is pre-cooked and kept in a pot of broth? I don't know. What I do know is that watery tacos aren't appetizing in the least bit. The flavor of the tacos can be described with one word: cheese. The cheese overpowered everything else, though maybe that's a good thing since the bites I intentionally took without cheese weren't enjoyable in the least bit. The cheese they use is decent, but they overuse it to compensate for the massive shortfallings of the other ingredients. This is not how you make an enjoyable taco. The salsa was certainly edible, but a bit subdued for my taste. I, unfortunately, will not be returning. I really wish there were more decent restaurants close to home.

A friend recommended this place but I think it was just ok. Service is allright. Salsa and guacamole are a bit bland. Steak and shrimp was good although the steak had alot of fat on it. The only thing that stood out was the flan, which was excellent. I think you could get the same quality of food for less at a taco truck.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Nashville. You can tell it's cooked with passion. The drinks are NOT watered down at all. There are no shortcuts taken at this place and the staff remembers me every time. Love it

Being from out west I am very particular about my Mexican food. This being the only restaurant in the area I would recommend. The food is good (could be spicier), and the staff treats my son like Norm off "Cheers". Great place to eat!

Myself and a Co-Worker used to eat here once a week. On one of our weekly visits I had a hair in my food. It was not my hair and it was about 2 in. long. I informed the waitress and she kindly removed my food and offered another plate but i had to pass. Stuff like that just gross me out. We didn't go back there for a few months then decided to give them another try. After about the fourth visit i found another hair in my food. We haven't been back since.
