This is a one star food, three star location type of restaurant netting out to two stars for the review. Let's start with the food. If you're a foodie, a home chef or anyone used to eating fresh ingredients you'll find this place pretty awful. We had some type of potato chip and cheese dip appetizer to start. The cheese was straight out of a can and nuked I'm sure. It tasted like something you love as a kid and find gross as an adult. For my meal I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. I don't think the chef has ever had Jerk anything if that is his version of a Jerk Chicken. There was literally NO Jamaican spices on it at all. Just some mushy mangos, trying to provide some flavor where there was none. I'm told the flounder is the way to go, which others at my table had and seemed to enjoy. It looked like your basic fried fish to me. In terms of location, it's actually a pretty cool local spot. The patio overlooks the water in the bay with a nice relaxing view. If you've got a boat you can actually arrive by water. I didn't go inside at all so I don't know if main restaurant was nice or not. If I was to return it would probably be for a drink and the view. Skip the food.

We have eaten at Willy's twice now. Both times we experienced a nice friendly staff and very tasty food. We took some friends to lunch first time we went there. My hubby and I shared the mussels for an appetizer, then we had the fish and chips. Our friends had the Boom-boom shrimp appetizer and also had the fish and chips. All were yummy! Service was great and extremely courteous and the view is wonderful! We left with "to go" waters for the boat, (nice suggestion from our waitress!), full tummies, and smiles all around for enjoying a nice lunch with friends! THANKS Willy's! The second time we ate at Willy's was this past Sunday! And it was a treat for the whole family, especially my 4 year old Grandson! We came by boat after a fun day on the water and were ready to enjoy a good meal! What we got was a Great meal and outstanding entertainment. This time I took pics! SuperNachos! (Although more meat and beans and cheese would have pleased me more!) great fish Tacos, excellent house salad-very fresh!, shrimp Po' boy had the boom/boom sauce and were crispy and plenty! Side of Mac was tasty! Grandson ate all his fish and chips (came in a boat shaped container!) which leads into the Theme of the night's entertainment "PIRATES!" Bean bottles on tables to shake to the Buffett songs, dancing, sing-a-longs, and the pirate even gave away prizes! Oh we Will be back the third time very soon. THANKS! Willy's!

GREAT FISH TACOS!!! Totally fun atmosphere.. Lots of energy... Good music...out door seating...and the view from the water looking up at the place after dark!!! BEAUTIFUL... FUN!!... FRIENDLY!!!

Food is NOT that great & the beer selection is mediocre. There needs to be some healthier menu options. Not everyone wants burgers/fries & nothing but unhealthy options to choose from. The atmosphere is great so I'm guessing that's all that matters to the owners.

Absolutely terrible experience...they opened at 1130, but the kitchen wasn't ready until 1215...Also, started waiting other larger tables before ours although we had arrived 20min before them...they didn't have the ingredients necessary for the announced drunk special...overall, get your stuff together Willie's

Much room for improvement. Boom boom shrimp were very very very done! The mussels were floating in an Alfredo type sauce with 2 slices Roma tomato and the beer cheese dip was very thick. I think the kitchen needs an overhaul

Ok, we all decided to give this place a try after years of not going back. We were seated quickly and greeted quickly. Our drinks were delivered in a decent amount of time. We ordered the buffalo shrimp and the mussels. Food was hot and well cooked. The shrimp were a bit greasy and the mussels could have used some garlic. However; I was extremely impressed with the changes in the menu and the updates to the building. Already better than it was. I would make the suggestion to add a bathroom stall somehow?

EW. They run out of food almost every weekend, and when they don't you wish they had. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because the location is awesome and the outdoor seating is perfect for lake days.

Drove ALL the way out here after reading a wonderful review in the local Knoxville magazine. What a waste of gas! The only thing this place has going for it is the location on the lake. I am sure they stay in business just because it is right in the middle of the marina. It sure isn't the food. Yuk! Let's see - the grouper sandwich (blackened) was still a little jiggly on my husband's plate and lacked any flavor. The same can be said for my Pescado Tacos. Think pieces of frozen fish (undermined what kind) from a bag, barely warmed and placed in a flavorless tortilla. Okay - now to the chicken fingers. When in doubt, always stick to easy bar food. NOT in this case. Good grief - the chicken was real but not cooked and the breading was gloopy and gross. Too bad as it is a pretty drive out to Choto but you would be better served at the new Weigel's and eat one of their hot dogs!!!

Amazing location. Awesome music. And the greatness ended there. The menu looked decent, but they were out of several items and what they did have would barley pass as "food court" quality fare. Really a shame as it could be a spectacular place!
