Since 3 Spoons Closed down, this would be my new Yogurt spot. They have cookie dough for toppings unlike Fro-YO. The flavor of the month the had for Jan. was wonderful.

This place is SO cute! And the flavors are awesome (Cake Batter yum yum)!!! I like the fact that you make it yourself mix WHATEVER you want in it and add whatever toppings you prefer. And the decor matches its fun atmosphere. I may sound overly excited about this place but it's pretty awesome.

Watermelon and Tangerine swirl - extremely sweet Toppings: blueberry blast, popcorn, sour patches, sour worms, almonds, cereal, chocolate, pineapple, kiwi, etc candy and chocolate. Overall, they didn't have all the flavors it said online. The fro-yo was way too sweet. It's the type of sweet that makes you feel sick after eating so much. I diluted mine with lots of toppings. I'm surprised by their low option of fruits. It reminded me of red mango vs pinkberry. Pinkberry all the way!

Hit or miss here regarding their flavors. However, there is usually at least one basic choice, as well as some very extreme options. The side additions are always the same and kept very clean. Service is friendly and quick! Great place to stop after a hot day outside.

Yum! Lots of flavor choices. The toppings bar has a nice variety. The Reese's flavor is awesome as are the marshmallow and dark chocolate flavors. I wish they had smaller cups though. I don't need a trough of yogurt.

Nice frozen yogurt shop with unique flavors (pumpkin, key lime pie, mint). Coming back next time I'm in Knoxville.

Prepubescent Teen Hangout. I feel like I'm walking into an episode kids cartoon show and I'm now in it...not that I want to be but am forced in from the minute they hand me my "Mookie" spoon and tell me to dig in.

I LOVE ME SOME FRO-YO! And whenever there's a place for it, I always have to try it out. Menchie's is definitely one of my favorites by far. The fact that you get to fill your own fro-yo cup to your hearts desire (with one or multiple flavors) and put as much or little toppings on it, amazes me. Most fro-yo places have the workers do it for you; having them make a nice little swirl of fro-yo but neglecting to fill the entire cup and leaving an empty hole in the middle. That makes me have an empty hole in my heart and stomach! But not Menchie's! Menchie's does it right. The price is reasonable as it's based on weight (not on additional flavors of fro-yo or toppings). The flavors are not too tart but sweet and savory. The selection of toppings are plentiful, including fresh fruit, granola, cereal, and candy. I can't get enough of this place... I wish it had more franchises.

Disclaimer: I love frozen yogurt. This may bias me just a little. I hail from the Northeast, where places like Pinkberry, Red Mango, and other "gourmet" yogurt places. I can honestly say that I like this place just as much IF NOT MORE than any of those. Here's why: 1. Wide variety of flavors. I dare you to NOT find one that you like 2. Toppings! Toppings! Toppings! From granoloa, cereal, candy, to fresh fruit, they have plenty of choices to suit your sweet tooth, your health nut, or anyone in between. Stir it in or pile it on. 3. You pay by weight, not by toppings/extras. You can have as much or as little as you want. 4. They let you sample as many flavors as you want. I do this every time I go, even though I almost always get the same flavor :) Things that could use improvement: 1. I know you pay by weight, but they could really stand to have different sized cups. It's impossible to place a small serving in those huge cups. This is clearly how they make money. 2. Can't really think of anything else. Bottom line...this is a great place to meet with friends to chat, stop in quickly for a to-go snack, or try something new.

This has officially taken over my favorite froyo place in Knoxville. Why? IT HAS MOCHI. Best of froyos (Pinkberry, Red Mango, etc.) stock them. So when I found this place tucked away from Kingston Pike, I was over the moon. Lots of toppings and flavors to choose from -- my favorite favorite? Strawberry-Kiwi. Slight problem...while Menchie's has mochi, they don't have Fruity Pebbles, but Sweet CeCe's might have Fruity Pebbles, but they don't have mochi...and mochi is a staple in every froyo place. Reasonably priced, it's pretty much being a kid in a candy store! :)

I had previously tried the Menchie's in Turkey Creek and was not impressed for a few reasons, but this Menchie's left me much more satisfied. My mother and I had been wanting to try a frozen yogurt place and had intended on Froyoz, but Froyoz did not have regular vanilla frozen yogurt, only the sugar free kind so we ended up at Menchie's. We were greeted by the employee on duty and got our yogurt. I had vanilla with strawberries and pieces of cookie dough. Of course it was delicious and it was just sweet enough and the right consistency. The place was clean and overall my experience was good. I will, however, agree with Jody S. in that it would be nice if they had smaller cups for those of us who do eat less of it, but I also understand why they don't do this.
