I have been visiting Ichiban for almost three years now. I love this place. I take everyone I know here. The food has always been amazing, the staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and delightful. In my opinion, they have the finest Pad Thai in all of Knoxville, and the best soup I've ever tasted. (Especially their clear mushroom & Tom Kha soups) Their noodle and fried rice dishes are so delicious, I haven't tried one yet that I haven't liked. And their sushi is not only high quality, but it arrives gorgeously plated and prepared. (I highly recommend their spicy salmon and Naruto rolls!) This is one of those restaurants where you want to just sit down and try something new on the menu every time you visit, because you trust the chefs and know it will be delicious. And I haven't had anything here that I haven't loved. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

I really enjoy this place, I like Thai food quite a bit and say this place holds its own With any other Thai place in town. I just had the Spicy Garlic Basil chicken and it was divine! I almost always order the Thai noodle dishes but decided to switch it up and glad I did. Think I had a spice level 3 and coulda gone one higher and lived to tell about it. They have a very wide menu, I usually take that as a warning, but they seem To pull it off. They do have a Yelp checkin special with a Cali roll for lunch and a spicy tuna roll with dinner. Prices and portion are very reasonable. We had two entrees, plus the complimentary roll, entree came with either soup or salad and rice and our tab was only 23 bucks. Place is clean and food came out pretty quick. This is definitely added into the rotation of Thai joints.

After reading other reviews, I decided to give this place a try. And it did not disappoint. I had probably the best spider roll I've ever had -- and the least expensive! The tempura appetizer was very good and well priced. I will definitely go back.

I really liked the food here. The crab Rangoon is great and I enjoyed the Pad Thai. I order delivery from here often and haven't been disappointed yet.

Rude service. Patronizing and not helpful. Been disappointed twice. Never again. Miso soup has no mushrooms, just limp old seaweed and chunks of GMO tofu. No seriously, off the shelf nasty tofu. And Miso with no mushroom? What is this place?

Enjoyed my dinner very much. I had shrimp & beef hibachi with egg drop soup. Overall, a great meal! Cost was about $13, for a very filling meal. My only problem was the hibachi was over sauced, making it very salty/odd taste. My friend ordered a spicy tuna roll & chicken yellow curry with a egg roll. She said the spicy tuna roll was the best she has ever had & that the curry was great. Her total was about $17. We both will be back soon!!! Menu had a lot of options, which I can't wait to try!

Hidden gem! My husband and I LOVE this place and have tried most of the specialty rolls. The sushi has been delicious every time and we've enjoyed the hibachi, panang curry, gyoza, salad and miso soup too! Good prices for the quality of food. Service is attentive and friendly. I would recommend it to all!

My boyfriend and I love Ichiban so much! We always choose it over any other restaurant because we know we will get good quality food. I always get the hibachi chicken and steak. So much better than any other hibachi restaurant I've ever been to. I'm not a sushi person, but I hear the sushi is really good as well. Overall, I highly recommend!

Delicious. Bento box with a good variety - hibachi steak, sweet & sour chicken, California roll and crab rations. Good egg rolls too. All fresh. Will be back!

This is an excellent place for Japanese food. Although the Bento Boxes are the only things I have gotten on the menu, they provide a good sampling of sushi, hibachi or teriyaki meat, rice, fried chicken, and wontons. It's a lot of food for a reasonable price, and I almost always split it into two meals. Leftovers from here are a treat! The white sauce, pink sauce, and chili pepper sauce are a bonus.

Having had sushi in L.A. and D.C., I didn't expect to find really good sushi this far inland, but I was happily surprised. The specialty rolls are buy one, get one 50% off, and this alone makes the pricing a STEAL, but the fish is melt-in-your-mouth fresh, the shrimp is tender (not 'chewy' in that stale/overcooked at all), and every roll is full of your choice of ingredient. They do NOT skimp on the rolls, which is fantastic. The spicy rolls have kick that isn't watered down, and their non-spicy are flavorful and delicious. Egg rolls, crab rangoon, miso soup, pot stickers, and all the other appetizer and share-with-your-friend plates are adequately sized and cooked very well. The price is so fantastic and affordable, especially with the quality of food-- you are missing out if you do not come here! Note: This is NOT easy to see from the road, but it's between Ross Dress for Less and WalMart off Clinton Hwy. Talk about finding a hidden jewel in Knoxville! Not to mention the GREAT service and guava-flavored candies they give you. Try this place-- you'll be so happy you did! 5/5

I've eaten here twice. I've tried sushi, crab rangoon, hibachi, and miso soup. The sushi was good. The hibachi was fantastic. I LOVE sushi, but I was a little hesitant to try it here without knowing much about the place, and normally I wouldn't go for hibachi. But this was very good. Also, I love miso soup and their's was perfect. Not too salty, with thinly sliced fresh (not dehydrated) mushrooms. The shrimp in the hibachi was not overcooked, and the shrimp were larger than most places. The crab rangoon was light and crispy, not the heavy, thick breading that is typical. Very good.

We love this place. We came here a lot bb 'before baby' and had forgotten about it. Glad I came back tonight - super yummy smells everywhere!! The girl I always used to see wasn't here tonight, she was so nice. They were packed so I'm glad I called in my to-go order. Yummy all the time, they do it right! Plentiful hibachi (cooked in the kitchen) for $9.95 is a good price. And it is always tasty.

It's not visible from the road but knowing it was near Walmart (off to the left toward Ross) helped us find it. Lunch portions did not look that big but turned out to be adequate. We had a pork yakisoba and steak "lunch box" which is called bento at other places and both were good. It was about half full for lunch Friday and service was not quick but they might have been short a person, we only saw a couple of guys other than whoever else might have been in the kitchen. Seating is mostly booths, so if you have a large group you might have to split up.

Small but nice place. The manager is very nice to introduce their special dishes and recommend his favorite "Singapore Rice Noodles" and it's super delicious. We will definitely come back again :)

Such a great little place! Great sushi buy one get one half off!! Can't beat it! The hibachi is always spot on! Do yourself a favor and skip having your brows burned off at a hibachi grill and try this place out!!

I love this place! They have really yummy food. The meat quality is pretty top notch. The sweet and sour chicken is better than anywhere else and the hibachi steak is delicious. My steak is always cooked perfectly and they always get the changes I make correct (only carrots and zucchini and a ton of sesame seeds). This place also has great sushi and super cheap lunch specials. Now, if only I can stop eating hibachi steak and sweet and sour chicken long enough to try something different from the menu! They really have a great variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai. Lots of interesting curry dishes...This place is definitely worth a try!

We were in the area and stopped for a quick lunch. Service was great. The lobster and shrimp rolls were really good. The Yelp check-in gave us a extra California roll. The Gen Tso's chicken had a great blend of sweet and spicy. Would definitely return.

We ordered Chicken Pad Thai, which was perfect with just a bit of a kick. We also ordered the chicken and steak teriyaki and it was amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked and oh so tender. The miso soup was fantastic. My youngest enjoyed the Crab Rangoon so much that he ate every last bite. We all cleared our plates and went home with sushi!

I ate at their new location in Rocky Hill. It was delicious! Very fresh and good. Good Sushi as well. Please don't fear trying it. We are so lucky to have it in our community. Great prices! I have tried several things now, and it is consistent. Very large menu.

We love this place and eat here often. I enjoy the hot and sour soup and Chinese lunch specials like sesame chicken, broccoli chicken and broccoli beef. They have hibachi style food which is super good as well.
