This place is really good. They have a beef tenderloin linguine that is buttery and tasty! The desserts are a real attraction to the Gondolier! Their cakes are huge and quite elaborate, displayed behind a glass counter for selection. The chocolate cake is amazing, though the cake is around $7 a slice, it is amazing and a fairly nicely sized piece generally. The pizzas are also good. They will make them to the customers specifications.

When I went to this restaurant with my sports team, there were about 40 of us in the side room of the place, taking up maybe 8 booths and tables. The service was good but the waiters didn't know how to add up our order so we stayed for an extra hour while they learned how to add and subtract. The food was good. The portions were huge, and for less than $15 for most of them, it was certainly worth my money. I had the "Tour of Italy" which had a bit of lasagna, chicken parmesan, and manicotti, along with a large helping of spaghetti and meat sauce. Chicken parm plate by itself looked pretty nice too.

If you like chef-boy-ardee spaghetti or stouffers frozen lasagna this is the place for you everything is fresh out of the can, and full of salt.

This is a restaurant that tries to cater to everyone. The menu is huge. Some of the pasta dishes we've tasted have been really good while others have been relatively bland. The stand-out in my book is their gyro plate. While the desserts look like food jewels in the large cooler by the entrance, several that we've tried haven't really delivered on taste the way we expected. It does seem to be a great place for families as it's a child friendly restaurant.

The food is okay, but the cannolis are fantastic. Will go back for a cannoli if nothing else.

While on vacation we passed by a few times and always saw the parking lot pretty full. So we decided to give this place a try. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza to go, when we got back it looked and tasted pretty good. Next time we ate inside for lunch, got the gyro & eggplant parm sandwich on homemade roll, both were very good and to top that they give you homemade breadsticks with marinara sauce. Very good staff & clean restaurant . There were several police officers eating there which is always a good sign. Give this place a try, you will want to go back.

I think Gondolier has some great food. The pizza is excellent and they have an option for double cheese, whereas most places give the option of extra cheese (which is typically a few extra sprinkles). They also know what I mean when I ask for extra sauce. I have also had the spaghetti and I enjoyed the small grounds of meat in the sauce. The chicken tortellini is great, too. The desserts are HUGE. Many of the chocolate cakes are entirely too rich, but the cheesecake is delicious. Also ,the carrot cake and red velvet cake have something more akin to cheesecake between the layers instead of cream cheese icing. They are truly awesome.

The tuscan chicken pasta was good but not great. The wine sauce didn't have much taste on the pasta but the chicken was delicious. There were little bits of mozzarella that spruced up the overall taste. The breadsticks are terrific but the red dipping sauce tasted like it was from a can. The cesaer salad that came with the entree was huge and heaped with shredded parmesean. Although it had cesear sauce I also found it a touch bland. The chicken and rice soup was also very good. I didn't try the deserts but they looked delicous and unlike other posters, I did not think they were terribly expensive. The staff was courteous and attentive. The food was prompt and hot.

An Asian, a Mexican, and a male and a female anglo walk into a restaurant and ... well we ate dinner. I didn't ask how anything else was so I'm limited to my own order. I had the gyro with spaghetti in meat sauce. The gyro was the largest I had ever seen until I looked over at the next table and saw the large dinner portion of the gyro. The prices were decent as was my gyro. Despite coming from an Italian restaurant the gyro was pretty good. I would say it ranks in the nebulous strata of my gyro rankings about 3rdish. The spaghetti though wasn't too hot. The sauce tasted fairly bland. I think thats indicative of most the sauces as they served marinara and bread sticks to us gratis. Eh, you can't win them all.

Excellent food for a reasonable price. I had the gyro platter. It came with a beautiful Greek salad and a generous amount of meat, feta cheese and fries . My husband ordered a burger. It was larger than the bun!!! And came with good french fries. Service was pleasant. The desserts looked tempting but we were well satisfied.

Easily the least flavorful and overall worst Italian food I've ever had in my life. The sauces were watery and highly lacked seasoning, the pastas were beyond overcooked, and even the bread wasn't worth eating. Our server was very sweet and attentive, which was the only positive thing about this experience. You couldn't pay me to return.

We love this place, I have to be gluten free, so my choices are limited, but what I can eat, is delicious and prepared well. My husband has tried lots of different entrees and is always impressed with the quality and quanity of food for a fair price. A pet peeve of mine is well drained pasta, and they always get it right.

Good food at reasonable prices. Restaurant is clean and the service is good. The free bread sticks and spaghetti dipping sauce is a nice touch. Lunch time specials are a very good value. Italian dishes and salads are good although the spaghetti is usually overcooked. Pizza not the greatest, it's on a crust that's not homeade but the toppings make up for the so so crust, overall OK pizza. Still overall this restaurant is a very good value particularly if you have a large family. Been to this gondolier and the one in Clinton many times and never had a bad meal.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
