Went here for brunch with a friend and everything was delicious! The location was freshly remodeled; everything was bright, clean, and nicely laid out. Wait-staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. We went here on a Monday at about noon and there was absolutely no wait. Food tasted amazing: In our party we had a Choose Your Own Omelet, the Spanish Skillet, and blueberry pancakes. Everything was well cooked, seasoned, and nicely plated. I was especially impressed by the omelet because a lot of restaurant omelets arrive dry, undersalted, and overcooked. This one was fluffy, moist, and perfectly seasoned. Couldn't do better at home. The Spanish Skillet was flavorful and for those who worry about spiciness, it was very mild. I had over-easy eggs with my skillet and found them perfectly cooked. I thought the pancakes were just OK; they were slightly tough and not as nice as homemade, but their flavor was good and I appreciated how willing they were to make your pancakes any way you like them. Coffee was good but not great, and is a darker roast which may put off those who prefer milder coffee. For those who like to sweeten their coffee, though, (like me) I think the roast was good. I did not find it bitter. As a bonus, their water comes in adorable little mason jars! There is also a beautiful fireplace at the Emory location which I imagine is delightful in the winter time. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

I have been to different Flapjack's locations and was glad to see one was within just a few minutes drive. After being here a few times now I feel good about the rating and recommendation for you to go and try. I love the veggie omelet. I have also tried the chicken and waffles and was impressed. My fav part would definitely be some french toast action. Perks: - food is brought hot - decent sized parking lot - restrooms are clean - prices are fair Quirks: - table service (when busy) can get quite delayed - kind of tight inside

I was so excited when I found out that Flapjack's was opening a location in Knoxville. I have many friends who would drive to Sevierville just to eat at the Flapjack's there. So obviously I had high hopes for the restaurant. I was sorely disappointed. I ordered scrambled eggs and pancakes. Apparently Flapjack's scrambles their eggs in bacon grease, even though it's not mentioned on the menu (which it should be, for vegetarians and vegans). I'm not vegetarian, but I hate bacon. The bacon grease ruined the texture of the eggs and made them completely inedible. I don't know if they make their pancakes with bacon grease or if they just messed up the ratio of flour and stuff in the batter, but they too were horrible. They were unbelievably bland and the flavor just felt wrong. This was a big letdown as someone who's a huge fan of breakfast food. I will not be returning.

After having decided that we wanted a little brunch, my friend chose this place due to the fact that he loves pancakes. While I enjoyed the taste of my food (I ordered the country fried steak breakfast), it didn't taste very fresh to me. The country fried steak seemed to be one that was previously frozen. The eggs were good, and flavorful, and so were the pancakes.

Had lunch on a Saturday. No wait. Both hubs and I got the Smokemont combo. Mine had scrambled eggs w cheese and turkey sausage along with two chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes were very good (but they'd better be for a place called "flapjack's" right?!). The eggs were overcooked and their idea of "with cheese" means they sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the eggs, which I didn't like. Turkey sausage was overcooked. Coffee and service was good. Will return and try more menu items!

Went here for breakfast. And it was very good. The serves were very nice. Would like to eat here again.

We were so thrilled to find this breakfast spot, they offer lots of gluten free choices, so I can get my pancakes and waffles, and not get sick. Lots of other menu items are safe, they know about gluten and help you avoid it.We are regulars here.

Great breakfast place, but the sausage gravy could use more flavor (sausage). Friendly staff, but long lines with no call ahead seating.

Ate breakfast this morning with my wife. Very clean restaurant (including the bathroom) and good service. We both had the healthier vegetable omelet, with grain pancakes and a side of fresh fruit. The omelet was just OK, the grain pancakes were thin and almost rubbery, the cup of fresh fruit (strawberry, blueberries blackberries plus bananas) was very good... We each had coffee and I would say pretty good cup of coffee although I was surprised for $2.50 a cup that you don't get real cream but instead they give you those little fake (don't need to be refrigerated) Gas Station creamers. You might say, what do you expect they were grain pancakes, well other breakfast places seem to do whole grain pancakes much better and the name of this restaurant is flapjacks, right?

Came in on a Saturday morning and was seated right away. However I noticed the people at the table next to us had their menus closed and looked annoyed. I set the timer on my phone and waited. After ten minutes of no one waiting on either of us, a waitress took the drink order of the table next to us but not us. Five minutes later, my wife and left. The place was only 3/4's full so I have no idea why no one waited on us in 15 minutes

After reading the reviews, I was nervous about coming here. But it was close to our hotel, cute, and the right price. So we decided to check it out. It was fantastic! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, the waffle was crisp, and the bacon was delicious! The coffee was yummy and plentiful too. The scrambled eggs were overcooked, but otherwise we really enjoyed it.

Very disappointed on our first and only trip to Flapjacks. We went after church on Easter Sunday. Manager was very friendly and seated us where we requested. Our waiter took our order of chicken & waffles and BLTE and coffee. Coffee was good but after the first sip we both saw that our cups were filthy. I mean like someone held them by the handle and dipped them in dirty water. I wiped my finger across and it left a trail ugh! Told our waiter and after a few minutes he brought us 2 more cups. Now if I was waiting tables and was dependent on tips I would make sure the cups were spotless ... Right? These were just as dirty as the first 2. I asked him what the deal was and if he did this - we left our cups untouched he never replaced them or asked about our meal - actually he walked by our table several times we finally had to flag down for our ticket - really bad! My $9 or $10 BLTE had old soggy lettuce, egg & toast way over cooked. Home fries were great. The chicken & waffles were served in a tiny skillet - looked cute but no way to butter and syrup them. Honey Dip for the chicken was DELICIOUS! But the syrup - NOT real syrup! You've got to be kidding... at a pancake house! Save yourself a trip and go to Waffle House or Cracker Barrel. I know we won't be back!
