About Taco Bell
Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.
The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.
Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Might not look like much on the outside, but definitely a pleasant surprise. The decor theme revolves around cars from the 50s, including vintage gas pumps, a jukebox and a statue of Elvis Presley. However, they do have several mounted tvs, which take a little away from the feel. The food was great! Everyone enjoyed their meal. The burgers were decent sized, cooked perfectly as ordered, and the handcut fries are yummy! I loved the Country Fried Steak with white gravy, but I don't think I've ever had a bad one ;) My mom-in-law also enjoyed her sirloin steak. I would definitely come back on my next visit to Halls (Knoxville)!

This is perhaps my third visit to BelAir, and it is a pleasant enough place. On this visit, the waitress brought a cola refill to our table, which she sat down for the wrong person at table, then proceeded to refill my cola glass with iced tea, which she slid across the table for another diner. Before we could even tell the girl about the mix up, she was gone. That was rather upsetting, to say the least. The food, however, was awesome, as usual. After the drink incident, not sure how I feel about returning.

Good little find in halls. Has lots of cool nostalgic pieces that give it an old diner feel. Food is decently priced (8.99 for a burger and fries). Beer price is excellent (3.50 for 22 oz draft). Food tastes decent, nothing really extraordinary. However, if you're on a budget and looking for a neat place to eat, this is a good bet.

Now my new favorite restaurant! It has great rolls and wonderful fries. My burger was perfect too.

My husband and I came here after a long day. We were starved. BelAir Grill did not disappoint. Service was quick and friendly. We started out with fried mushrooms. They came to the table fresh out of the fryer, they were awesome! My husband ordered a mushroom bacon burger well done. The burger came out perfectly cooked and the bacon was nice and crispy. I ordered a regular burger and it was perfectly done too! Fries are hand cut and fried just right. We will be back!

The colossal burger was good but the highlight if my meal was the hand cut fries !!! Miriah was an above average server just needs to smile more. Thanks for listening

Tony and I was traveling on Rt 33 on the back roads home to Nashville from our weekend in Johnson City..and we were looking for something new and found this Grill...Apparently its a chain of some sort but its the first one we have ever ran across or ate at..and the heavenly grill smell from the parking lot...we had to stop and check it out.. The sign said "Steaks and Shakes, Burgers and Fries"...sounded like our kind of place. We were greeted immediately and it being a Sunday around noon that is good, we beat the Church Crowd rush...we were seated in a comfortable booth and our waitress came over to get our drink order. Tony went with a 22oz Draft of Budweiser Lite and I ordered a Glass of unsweetened tea with lemon and lime (they had no lime)...oh goodness but not a deal breaker. We told her it was our first time but she didn't offer or suggest anything on the menu she just smiled and siad they would be right back..Tony ordered the Bel Air Philly Steak with onions and mushrooms and side of Au Jus and I ordered the Mushroom Swiss with Tomato, lettuce, mayo, onions, jalapenos medium rare with Au Jus ..we both received a side of fries but NOT that great!!! But I have to admit the sandwich was huge and Delicious!!!! Tony and I split our sandwiches like normal, but Heck after eating my half of the Burger, I couldn't eat my half of the philly but I did take a bite and it was really good!!! I added jalapeno to mine..Tony ended up pulling them off when he ate the half I couldn't finish.. The service was fast, and she was very friendly ...the food was good. The fries were cut from the potatoes, and tasted okay..just overly salty and too greasy for my liking but I loved that burger!! I would eat here again..The price was reasonable..for our food, drinks and taxes with tip...$30 not bad!!!! I would go to this restaurant again if I was in the area..I don't get to Knoxville much..but it was a winner in my book.. Tv screens were available for the sports fans...a plus and the Beer draft special was good price ...22oz for only $3

all I can say is yuck!! nasty fries, nasty greasy food! tvs are old and settings too light. do not recommend!

This place is off the chain good! Everything I have had and I'm working my way through the menu. Best house salad in town and delicious honey mustard. It's a drive from West Knoxville to Halls, but it's always worth it and always a pleasure. Please come west and be this good!
