This place is good in a strip-mall kind of way. The food is fresh and tastes good, it's just not the kind of thing I'm into. If you're looking for moe's or chipotle, this spot probably beats both of those.

I have eaten at this place 3 times now. But it has all been ordered, so I don't know about the service. The food, on the other hand is delicious. It's kind of like Moes, without the salsa. I do like Moes better because of this. But the guacamole at this place as well as Moes is incredible. Much better than nice restaurants. I tried several burritos, and they all were good. Many options to add to it free of charge. I certainly will keep it on my list, and I recommend it. I want to try other things, but keep getting the burritos because they are so big and filling.

Woah this place is a true gem! My friend describe this joint as a better version of chipotle and I completely agree. So what's so great about this? It's ran by a family and they are so friendly! They kept asking if we wanted anything and how everything was..like a real restaurant. Recall, this is a franchise! Besides having the best customer service, they have so many sides! Wait it gets better, they will sautee the sides too! They also have a free salsa bar and chips come with your entree and free refills. How can you compare this to chipotle!? They also have a wide range of soft drinks with free refills.

It's the service of subway made for Mexican cuisines. Whether you are a burrito, quesidilla, or taco salad fan you can definitely find your meal at Barberitos. It is good for the veggie people as well as you carnivores out there. Most importantly it is made with fresh food and not manufactured look-a-likes...and rest assured no pink slime in the meat either ;) Pick a starter (wrap, shell, etc.) and fill it up as you see fit. Good food portions with great cheese dip and salsa makes a great lunch. GO NOW or you will regret it.

LOVE this place! Wish there was one where I'm from. I was in Knoxville for a business trip and stopped by here after checking into my hotel which was conveniently a short walk away. They weren't busy when we arrived, but I'm sure they are for lunch. (I went outside of "normal" lunch hours.) The easiest way to describe them is that they are a like local Chipotle. I believe they use all natural ingredients though (or at least I hope I am remembering correctly). They have chicken, steak, fish, etc. Normal Mexican-style restaurant options; rice, beans, lettuce, cheese, sour cream, etc. One of (I'm sure) a few differences, is that they offer nachos (while Chipotle doesn't but Freebirds does). Everything is priced around the same price (~$7/entree) whether its a burrito, burrito bowl, or nachos. They have more seating than you expect, as it looks small on the outside. One complaint, is that they do not have napkins at the table. They have napkins in this odd dispenser that only dispenses one napkin at a time. I've only had one experience, but it would definitely be on my return list if I am in Knoxville again. I'm not sure what else needs to be said.

I was very excited about their vegetarian menu which included tofu which is hard to come by in Knoxville. However, their tofu and their veggies lacked freshness and flavor which made for a bad lunch. If you want a fresh and flavorful GO TO CHIPOTLE!!!

Food: good, but end of day so not so fresh. Service: curt and impolite. The door even says they close at 10pm, but we walk in at 8:45 with 3 kids and they say that they are closing at 9pm. So they basically treat us like an inconvenience... There's no more ground beef, only one person to make and top six burritos, very inefficient and impatient with questions. We've been on the road for 9 hours and just wanted a place to eat and relax before turning in at the hotel. Oh well.

I went to the original Barberitos throughout college in Athens GA. My wife and I recently moved to Knoxville and we travel 30 minutes every week just to go to go to the Barberitos here. The food is amazingly fresh and tastes better than Moes or Salsaritas. Best Burrito place in town

The food here was very good, the best tex-mex in town. They get their toppings in fresh every morning, and I believe sourced locally. It was a good change from the normal fast food places in Knoxville.

Very good food in an attractive, friendly atmosphere. Quesadilla and burrito were both excellent and the salsa tastes fresh and delicious. I'll be back to enjoy more selections.
