Calamari appetizer tasted like frozen food I could have bought at Kroger. Lunch was much better. Great Ruben and fish and chips. Fries where good. With such a great location all they need to do is step up the food and make it more consistent.

A great restaurant~we had grilled ribeye steak, crab cakes, and fried oyster as an appetizer. The ribeye is awesome, we love it! For crab cakes, a little bit salty but still taste good. For sides, we love sautéed onion and mushroom and steamed broccoli, their onion rings are juicy! If you come during the day time, you can also see the nice view to the river. Do I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely!!

Awesome spot across the street from and overlooking watts bar lake in Kingston. Surprisingly extensive menu including a nice seafood selection. The prices range from $7 sandwiches to $18 steaks and everything in between. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and spinach maria. All of it was great! They also have a full bar and balconies over looking the lake. Definitely go here if you are ever in Kingston!

We ordered a dozen half shelled raw oysters, an appetizer and two entrees and they all arrived at our table within approximately 25 minutes. We hadn't finished our oysters and the appetizer came, by the time we tried to get to our appetizer our entrees arrived. Our table was so full of food we had to frantically shuffle plates (just the two of us at a 4 person table) just to make room. The fried pork chops were soggy even though I cut into them the moment they arrived. We were so overwhelmed we just boxed up what was there and left and the little food we did eat left us both sick at our stomachs. Everything we tried to eat in the time frame it was shoved onto our table left us bewildered which item was the culprit that made us absolutely ill at our stomachs. Please take more care of the preparation of your food and the timing of your service, you're one of the few restaurants in Kingston that isn't fast food. We won't be eating any of the boxed food least we incur another gastrointestinal nightmare.

See info in my tip. Not coming back anytime soon. Very disappointed on the food / kitchen. Ok- maybe the waitress was part of the issue. Asked to split the bill 50/50 and the waitress billed me for one if the entrees and a drink and put the rest if the bill on the other person's tab. And yes, they did bill us for the full order.

So excited to find this high quality food in Kingston! Amazing food and atmosphere. Everything was made fresh. The spinach dip, fried green tomatoes, and salmon sandwich were some of the best I've ever had. The view of the water was very pretty. Our server was good, I thought they might be short handed a few people bc all of the staff seemed so busy. This was the last night of our vacation and it was the best!

We frequent this restaurant usually once a month but today was bit one of their finer moments. We arrived at 12:30pm and were seated. Approximately 20 minutes passed before I found a waitress to take our order. The food was good but after the lack of service I expected to receive a comped or at least reduced meal price but apparently that didn't register on their "we messed up so we should try to make this better" radar. The restaurant only had about 20 patrons and there were at least 3 wait staff.

Meh. Nice view, live music, the service wasn't so hot though. Seems like she couldn't keep straight on tickets and I got charged for something I don't order. Nice. On the bright side, come on a Saturday night and most likely there will be live music. I came exactly for that, because one of my friends was in the band playing the gig. It was well...interesting. Anyways, I had no idea how crazy bugs can get until that night. Lets just say may flies rule this restaurant. I ordered chicken tenders with some Mac n Cheese and Fried Okra. What did I think? No taste and bland. I think I ordered the wrong thing, but hey maybe next time if I do come back to support my friend, I'll try something else. However, for this review this is what bothered me: 1. It seemed that my waiter could only take one instruction at a time. At my table, one of the other patrons wanted a refill and after she took my order she completely just left and we had to recall her again in order to tell her. 2. I was working on my mac n cheese, but I was working on it slow, and when my waiter brought out my check, she just took my plate without even asking me. Interesting. Lastly, 3. When I got my check, she says "Oh! I charged your card on the wrong check! I'm sorry, but I can't do anything about it." Really? I know the ticket wasn't that much of a difference between the two, but you're going to charge incorrectly to the cards and then say "Oh well, I can't do anything about it." Even thinking about it sort of irks me. I should've not even tipped. That was so ridiculous. I don't know about this place. The food looked alright, but the service was absolutely horrid. The only reason why I would eat here again would be because of my friend, and even so I probably won't come back.

Stopped in on a whim during a visit to Kingston. Saw the sign and had to get a rib fix. I was not disappointed. Somecof the best ribs I've had in years. Great tender tangy ribs! Delicious Cole slaw--just enough creaminess. My companion did not think much his crab cake tho so we give Red Bones 4 *. Drinks were classic sized, not oversized like you sometimes see. Very comfy atmosphere with booths in an old house. Could have dimmed the lights just a bit. Acoustic guitar play list. Very enjoyable.

We were passing through on our way to Nashville and wanted a steak. I had the 12 oz ribeye with fried and spinach Maria. The steak was spot on! I like mine Medium to Medium Well. It was so tender. The price was great. My only negative is there needs to be a kids menu. I had to share with my 5 year old. Service was great and glad we stopped in

Went to go list a piece of property for sale and stopped in for a bite. Not to shabby. The chicken tenders were a large portion and the coffee was hot. The parking lot was rough on my car but all in all a good experience.

The food and service has been terrible the two times that we have eaten here. We've been just for drinks as well, and service is just the same. I have eaten at non-peak times, and the staff just seems to be very green and maybe even stretched a little thin for their abilities. All of the food seems to be microwave/fried frozen food. Nothing tastes as if it has been prepared in house, just re-heated. I try to avoid letting others meet here for drinks, even though it is convenient.

Pretty cute place to stop for lunch, dinner or a drink in Kingston. Your best bet for food in the evening in this town.

Have eaten here multiple times. I have never been to a place that could be so good sometimes and really bad other times. The up and down service and food are why i rank it two stars. If you catch this place on a good day you will think I'm crazy however if you come in on a bad day you will think i've overated it. Roll of the dice.

Great portions, good food. Very attentive staff, which is important to me. Very polite and kind. Great prices, husband and I got the fish and chips and a kids meal, two cokes, sweet tea, and a sprite and the total was $34! Amazing prices for everything! Will be back for sure.

Enjoyed the Crab Cake Sandwich and fries. Haven't been here in a long time but enjoyed this return trip. Had all the televisions removed (they were horrible for any type of conversation) from the first level Dining Room but they still remain upstairs in the VERY lively bar.

It's a Saturday night. Time for live music, food & cold beers. WRONG! Service was slow (practically non-existent). Food wasn't prepared properly. Manager kept asking the band to turn down. When the poor service was brought up, they didn't even apologize or offer a comp or anything. This was our 2nd attempt after an equally terrible first visit. We will never be back & will make sure all our peeps know about their piss poor business ethics.

Out for a daytime motorcycle ride on a Thursday and decided to stop in for lunch. I'd never been to Red Bones before and was intrigued by its location on the river. It appeared to be an old house that is converted in to a restaurant. When we walked in, it is a bit odd as the hostess stand is up front and there isn't much atmosphere to the main seating area. Headed upstairs to the outside deck, which is off the bar. What a great call. We ordered the Fish sandwich as well as a grilled chicken sandwich, both with fries. The server was prompt with taking our order and bringing the drinks. The food arrived, was hot and exactly as prepared. The portions were very large, everything tasted fresh, and the fries were hot. The server kept filling the drink glasses without asking if we wanted refills, etc. I can't speak for the previous reviews, and we were there at 1:30 PM on a Thursday, but there were a number of other patrons in the place. I'll definitely be back on my next ride through Kingston!
