The sandwiches my room mate and I had were Fantastic! I had the one with pulled pork. And kielbasa on it. It was superb. My room mate had the brisket. Mmmm.

I just found this place, where an old restaurant used to be and let me tell you -- it's the best place in Kingsport -- and the best BBQ bar none! The atmosphere is just an ole grill type, but they have the kind of food that could put them in the ratings with 5-star joints, including a brisket that is fabulous, topped with homemade BBQ sauce based off of molasses! They make fantastic homemade potato chips, and the Tri-potato salad is like-- out of this world! The service is better than any other restaurants in town, super friendly and super fast ... and the price makes it a great deal ... not as cheap as burger joints, but you get what you pay for. MUST TRY!

i must've been there on a bad day considering the good ratings. Anyway, the one time I went the waitress was really nice but all of the food seemed like it had been sitting out for days. It wasn't even warm. I got a box to take home leftovers but ended up throwing it out. How do you get leftovers of leftovers? That one experience is the reason I've never been back.

While I love the pulled pork, I have to say Hokie's offers the best brisket I've ever had. I love the variety of the menu, the cornmeal dusted buns, and the funky color mix of the decor. My only hope is that they offer more BBQ sauces to choose from. I eat lunch there as often as I can and I am never disappointed. They also have perfect ice!!!

The brisket and Mac n cheese was basic. Nachos were also ok. The tri potato salad was great!?! I was not a fan of the sweet sauce.
