Terrific food and service. I have been going to this place since I was a kid. It is one place you can't miss.

this is a cute local place sort of hidden away so while visiting we thought we'd give it a try. first off, the place is super cute- it looks like a country house with a big porch and rocking chairs.. sort of like a cracker barrel. we were seated promptly and our server immediately came out from the kitchen and served hush puppies and coleslaw. sort of random. both were just so-so... being the "catfish cabin" I would've thought you could get catfish any which way you wanted - but the menu didn't really have a lot of options. we ordered: blackened catfish appetizer, fried green tomatoes, and the seafood sampler entree. my coworker and I both thought the food was actually pretty bland and relied on sauce to give everything flavor. also, our server wasn't the nicest person - from a local southern establishment I would've expected a much warmer personality. lastly, they do not serve alcohol.... at all. the waitress looked at me like I was crazy for asking for a beer. so sadly, I have to give a bad review. I wouldn't go back... but the locals seem to love it because by 630 the place was packed and I'm still trying to figure out why.

I love the food here. The catfish is light and cooked just right...not too heavy on the breading and not too oily. The hushpuppies are dangerous. They sit in the basket as you wait and before you know it they are gone and you have started on another basket. The slaw is mayo based, but not so heavy. They also do baked potato or fries or white beans as sides. You can get it to go, even calling in your order. They have huge rooms, but if you wait til prime time you might have a wait. The rockers and swing on the porch mean that's not such a bad thing.

Excellent place. We grew up eating at Catfish Cabin - this place is very unique. The food is good (Hush-puppies and cole slaw are excellent). Getting the Catfish platter won't disappoint - Service is always great... that's probably the reason they have won Reader's Choice 12+ years in a row

I got the fried catfish...it was not the best but it was pretty good. Loved the fries. And was with family so of course I had a good time. It will definitely remind u of the Bates Motel inside...with the stuffed animals. But I love the rocking chairs outside on the porch...so adorable. Love the Southern feel of the restaurant. The service is average...nothing outstanding.

My family went to Catfish Cabin last weekend. At 6:30 on Friday there was no wait. The place really looks like a Cabin with deer mounted on the wall. If you like slaw and hush puppies, you may like the place. They charge a $4.99 sitting fee if you don't order an entree. If you want a smaller portion, they won't let you order off the kids menu unless you are under 12. Also they have fireplaces that they won't light for 3 more weeks (they told us so). The plates are plastic (like the kind they used at buffets years ago) and portions aren't large. The service is ok, but not amazing. I rate it a 3/5.

Went there for the first time with my boyfriend and his dad. His dad was a fireman and my boyfriend is a marine. My boyfriend's dad is a regular there and is always gettng a fireman discount so my boyfriend asked if he could get a military discount and they told him they don't do military discount right after his dad got one!! Its amazing that i have a man who fought in Afghanistan just about a year ago and deserves so much and can't even get a discount but yet a local fireman could. I believe they sacrificed just as much.

The food here is actually very good I had a the blackened catfish with a baked potato. Catfish had a great flavor. By the way the hush puppies were yummy to. However, the waitress was terrible she was a little rude didn't remember what went where. All around nice place but not great service.

Catfish Cabin has catifish pretty much anyway you want it. I have never had the fried catfish, but the blackened catfish is a total winner. Great tasting, but the portion was a bit small I assume due to cooking/broiling. The sides are great, and the hushpuppies are crispy outside and fluffy inside. Slaw is good, but the fries could be better. This place is also great for groups. Overall, good. Nothing extraordinary, but they do possess what you should expect from a from a good Southern restaurant: reliability. These people are good at what they do.
