Decent for a chain. The service was good even during this busy period. The stalls are a bit tiny and uncomfortable and I would probably ask for a table the next visit. Portions were generous although my dish had been under a heating device as evidenced by the Alfredo noodles along the edge being dry, brittle, and turning brown.

I'm not a huge Italian food fan, but my husband wanted to take me out to Olive Garden and I'm not about to pass up a dinner out. We were there about 6:30 on a Saturday evening and they were busy. The hostess seated us immediately at table as requested. Our server was at the table within a few minutes. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made good suggestions. The "never ending pasta bowl" was as expected but nothing really special. The sauces were fresh tasting and hot. Te pasta was perfectly cooked. Salad was fresh but a little warm. Two things made our visit stand out. First was our server, Brittany. Very friendly and attentive. The second was cleanliness. The restaurant was exceptionally clean. The wine bottles in the rack beside our table had been dusted, the a/c vents were dusted, the table felt clean, and the restaurant smelled good. Will put on our list to visit again. I checked the health department score before choosing Olive Garden. Their last score was 93 and 100 at the bar.

God I hate everything about this place. For some reason this is the go-to birthday/special occasion place for my family so you know I'm not gonna say no when my grandma is able to come out and eat dinner and it's her and my grandpa's 65th anniversary, as I'm not a jerk. But Olive Garden is. And maybe I am a jerk after the fact because I have to write this but it's deserved. Oof almost forgot this part. My brother called around 2pm for call ahead seating at 6:30. When I got there, our "reservation" was not in the computer. One of the other hostesses had answered the phone but didn't bother to add it to the computer. Had she not been there, I don't know what we would have done. But here I am telling this other one his name, as I was in the room when he made the call and I'm looking like I just made this up. Other hostess of course knew the details, we needed a table in order to accomodate a wheelchair. When we got our table, they decided we were apparently going to put the wheelchair right behind someone else's chair to prevent them from ever getting out. Umm. We had to change the layout of the table ourselves, to get the wheelchair down at the other end where it wouldn't be blocking everyone. No help from the people working here. I ordered a quartino of Malbec. The server says to me, I did not expect that order. Maybe you should keep that to yourself then? I know I don't look like I'm 24 and I don't mind if someone tells me I look like I am too young to order alcohol, but that wording makes it sound like I don't look like I would ever drink wine, let alone Malbec. And then she kept trying to push me to try a sample. I have had plenty of Malbec, please just let me have my little carafe. So she brings me a glass despite the fact she repeated back "quartino" to me. Next, my brother gets soup instead of salad, so he gets like a half bowl of soup as they needed to make more. It took until we got our food for him to get more soup. We also didn't get breadsticks with our salad like every table who received breadsticks before and after we got salad. When did we get breadsticks? When my dad nabbed the basket off her tray when she abandoned her job to someone else to take an order from another table. Classy. Then since everyone but my grandpa and I took part in the never ending pasta bowl, they could all get their second plate to go. I had been doing most of the ordering for my grandma because it's so loud in there and I don't want anyone on either side of the conversation to get confused, so I said she'd get the same one again, which included the "unlimited" Italian sausage option. We ordered one of the special occasion cakes for their anniversary, and she brought us plates and the cake, but no forks. We had to grab someone else's attention for forks after being able to cut the cake for six people and still wait a few minutes, as she was nowhere to be found again. She also didn't bring my grandma's pasta. We actually had to wait beyond the cake for that pasta, and when we got back home, I saw it didn't even have this so-called unlimited Italian sausage in it, despite the fact I said she'd take the same thing. My sausage and peppers with penne was alright. It's something I could easily have made for all of us at home for the same exact price and none of the bullshit. I really wanted to give the server the benefit of the doubt given how slammed this place is on weekends due to being so attractive to the tri-state population traveling out from under their rocks on Saturdays, but leaving the breadsticks on the tray without putting them on our table after how long it took her to get them was just so tacky. Oh and I should add they completely are disgusting now. I remember years ago they weren't all that bad, but Melissa W. is spot on, they really do remind me of hot dog buns. Pizza Hut has better breadsticks. We weren't charged for the cake, so maybe that was her way of making it up to us but meh.

We got seated VERY quickly on a busy Friday night and our food and service were great. Their specialty drinks are tasty and aren't too expensive. 4 stars just because even when the server brought out fresh breadsticks, they didn't taste fresh like they did at the Olive Garden where I am originally from. I would go back to this location.

1st time to this Olive Garden location and we were well pleased! The service was excellent and the server took her time talking to us about the area and Chattanooga in general!! My husband and I both had the Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo and I was delicious! Would not hesitate going back! Only downfall is we had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table on a Monday night!

I really am starting to dislike the 5 star system as its so hard to clump everyone into a 3, 4 or 5 scale. We ate here on a Sunday evening and first we noted that this particular location was very nicely laid out. The dining room was broken into smaller sections so it made it feel more private. I had the salmon and my wife had a mixed sampler platter. Both were very good and if I could give this a 3.5 or 3.75 star rating I would. I realized its just another big chain but ours meals were both good and we will go back for sure.

I never purposefully go to Olive Garden. I don't know why. I have never had a really bad experience there, it's just not high on my list. Since my last visit to an Olive Garden a lot has changed. Something about the layout and staff really gave me the feeling of a high-end Italian restaurant. At first I thought the waiter was inattentive, then I realized he was actually ahead of what we were asking for. With a 3 year old, eating anywhere can be an adventure. Between the speed of the drinks / ordering / food and the quality of everything we consumed, I couldn't ask for a better experience. I really debated 4 stars or 5, but I can't ding an amazing restaurant for being a chain store. There is nothing I would have changed about this experience.

I've got to be honest. I have only eaten at Olive Garden one other time before this visit. I wasn't blown away then...or now. My former coworker had a gift card from Olive Garden and wanted to take me to lunch, insisting I "must have ordered the wrong thing" my first time here. Having an open mind to giving anything a chance... we headed there. We started off with the obligatory salad and bread sticks. The salad dressing is fairly tasty...but I don't really understand why people love the bread sticks so much...there isn't anything special about them...to me, it tastes almost like a seasoned, unsliced hotdog bun. My friend ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs and I went with the Five Cheese Ziti al Forno. Her dish came with a large mound of spaghetti and meatsauce and two large meatballs. She seemed to enjoy her dish quite a bit. My dish really lacked in the flavor category. There was barely any sauce, and really the only thing that gave this dish any flavor at all was a salt shaker and the melted cheese on top. Don't get me wrong it wasn't horrible, but with seasoning it could have been way better. Service was ok...and our waters were refilled quickly. All in all, I'd say that twice was more than enough for me to form an opinion on Olive Garden...and I don't really need to go back again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
