I have only eaten at the Chop House a couple times and both have been very good experiences. My wife, daughter and I celebrated my daughter's 25th birthday tonight and everything was superb. My daughter's 20 oz ribeye was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato fries were delicious. She and I both had the Caesar salad and it was great. I really liked the extra bit of pepper which gave it a bit of a kick. My half-slab of bar-b-que ribs were as promised, falling off the bone and very tender. The accompanying baked sweet potato was cooked perfectly also. My wife had the tortilla soup was good also. She really wished the serving size was larger. Our waitress was very attentive and the entire wait staff that served us was very efficient. Overall a pretty rare five stars was earned ( we did not think the wished for larger serving size for the soup deserved a downgrade as it was the advertised size).

Very nice and clean place to eat. Had great food and friendly staff. The wait can be from 10min to an hour at times. The steak is really good. I am definitely gonna recommend this place to my family and friends. I will be coming back here in the near future!

I was in town on business for two weeks and looked forward to coming here even before we arrived. I'd only had USDA prime steak once before, and was excited to get some again on the company's dime. On the menu, they listed regular steaks and then just said prime steaks market price. I asked the waitress which prime cuts they had and she told me about the prime rib. After explaining what I meant, I ordered the prime fillet and was very disappointed. It was very heavily seasoned. I believe that a good steak needs very little seasoning. I would have asked for another one seasoned less, but it was just clear that it wasn't going to be the steak I was expecting anyway. The crispy green beans and banana peppers were very good.

Hate to give this one star, because we eat here a lot and normally have a good experience. I Ate at the bar since I was by myself. When I arrived (about 1:30pm), the bar was a disaster. I cleaned a spot up for me to eat, found a menu and ordered. There were numerous wine glasses, beer bottles and bread sitting on the bar when I arrived. There was loose change sitting on the bar and dirty napkins everywhere. Nothing, and I mean nothing was removed from the bar the entire time I was there (45min to an hour). I watched as numerous employees walked to the bar and no one seemed to care. There are always numerous employees at the hostess stand, and again - no one cared. I don't believe I saw a manager the entire time. The bartender was a nice enough young guy, but oblivious to the mess around him. There were also numerous customers that made their way to the bar to order extra drinks, as if no one would bring them to their table (they all looked frustrated). I was literally shocked at the lack of care to the entire bar area by all the employees. This is a MAJOR indictment on the management. If the bar is in this bad of shape, I'm curious how bad the kitchen area is. The food was decent, but the whole experience made me feel like I was in the twilight zone. I continually looked around, searching for anyone who cared - there was no one there who cared. Too nice of a restaurant for this to happen. I was hoping Robert Irvine, of Restaurant Impossible, would walk through the door and blow these people up...didn't happen. I found someone as I was walking out and asked him if anyone working cared what the bar looked like (I think he was a chef). He seemed embarrassed. They all should be embarrassed, including whoever is the GM. He should clean house, or maybe he or she should not be the GM.

as my birthday was winding to a close, we decided to swing in here, and we were glad we did! chop house is great for people who want a fine-dining experience, but don't have a fine-dining budget. the service is paced and wonderful, the food comes out wonderfully spaced, and is very tasty. i had the crab encrusted tilapia on a bed of rice pilaf, and a side of macaroni and cheese. the mac n cheese is marvelous. we always enjoy our experience at every chop house we go to, and this one was no exception. :)

Always love the service and food here. Took my wife here last night for her birthday and once again great service. We started off with the mozzarella appetizer and followed it with the prime rib for me and the crab encrusted tilapia for my wife. Overall another successful evening out!

This is by far the best all-around restaurant in Hendersonville and I put it up against many in Nashville. Disregarding the fantastic pricing, this restaurant provides a delicious variety. Go for a steak burger, filet, or just a salad. You won't be disappointed.

We have eaten here twice, once on the weekend, once on a weekday. The weekday deals are better priced for the food you receive but we enjoyed both times. The tomato dill soup is the best we've ever had. The fish I ordered was ok, but the steak and ribs are really good, along with the appetizer with the scallops (forgot the name) and the key lime pie is the bomb. The servers were very attentive too. This is a very nice place for a romantic or a relaxing dinner with family or friends.

YUMMY YUMMY food. Big variety. Delicious pork chops, salad, and key lime pie! They have great lunch specials! Atmosphere romantic :)

The chicken prosciutto signature chop house dish is to DIE FOR!!! Pork Chop was amazing as well but I liked my chicken the best! Mashed potatoes were outstanding, broccoli melts in your mouth and the chicken was Devine!! Their coffee is outstanding too!

This place is AWSOME! We were going to a restaurant near by & were treated very rudely by the staff.....so we walked over to the Chop House. The food was perfect! Sadie our waitress was friendly, polite & very attentive! When a little communication error occured it was solved beyond our satisfaction! We will sing the praises of this place for a long time! Our new go to place! If you do take our advice & try the Chop House....please ask for Sadie & tell her we sent you!

The food was really good, prices might be a bit higher for just a casual dine out, but for a special occasion, this place will work.
(4)Doug H.
The food is really good. Prices can be high depending on what you want, but they have a really good lunch menu with great prices. They do have a $10.00 menu from Sunday-Thursday sizes are good and so is the selection.

I frequent this place often. I love to sit in the bar area and have Ashley wait on me. My favorite is the Chop House, chopped salad with "no red onion". It's a mix of greens with avocado, bacon, & tomatoes. Sometimes, for more protein, I ask for grilled chicken on top. It comes already tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Of course, I've never had anything bad there. All very good food and very good service.

Had lunch at The Chop House Today. Great Lunch Menu for $6! Service was great! Food was excellent.

I love chop house it is perfect for couples, families with young children, and anyone who loves good food. I particularly love their burgers. I usually cut it in half since I can never eat the whole thing. The prices are reasonable with good service. Try the sweet potato fries and sweet tea, absolutely delicious.

We had written off chop house a few years ago because of the service and quality of food but clearly things have changed! I had a party of 18 getting together for Fathers Day and couldn't find a decent place that took reservations so I gave them one more shot. We were blown away with the professionalism of the manager and waiter. Our table was ready with waters and lemons 15 minutes early and everyone loved the food. Thanks again guys...great job!

Chop House was a very nice restaurant with very fast service definitely one of the best in town!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I went there on Monday and this is probably the 15th time I've been there. Always good. The crab cakes are always spectacular. I'll come back until it closes.
(5)Dagan B.
Really good steak a little higher price than average but better than average food. The creamed spinach was really good but watch out for the super salty mushrooms.

We decided to try this place for a date night and were blown away. Easily the 2nd best steak I've ever had! The service is great and they have amazing appetizers like deviled eggs with bacon! If you don't feel like driving all the way to somewhere like Kayne Prime, the Chop House is a surprisingly good substitute. And the prices are lower too!
(5)Deborah C.
Really good soup! Yummy and great pasta apps! I will go back again and again. I love the fireplace and the bar area

Never had a bad meal here. The saw cut pork chop special was amazing. Robust lunch menu as well.

Went to the Chop House for lunch on a Sunday, the place was full. A short wait of 5 minutes and we were seated. Service was fast and friendly. The food was very good, proportions were just right.

Great place for a date night or for a nice dinner with friends. The food and atmosphere are great. I recommend making a reservation on weekends because the wait gets long. My boyfriend and I have also eaten at the bar when the wait was long and had no wait.
(5)Christine G.
Great tender, juicy steak... even the sirloin was tender and perfectly prepared medium rare. Very nice lobster tail, too. Steak, lobster, and a bottle of wine... perfect date night! Love the ambiance and the superior service.

This place was fantastic. My boyfriend and his parents and I went on a Tuesday to celebrate some recent life stuff and holy yum. The server was sweet and considerate and gave us the perfect amount of attention without being overbearing. We all started out with salads which were delicious, ice cold in frozen bowls (which honestly makes all the difference). The salads had bacon and cheese and crunchies and cucumber and came with the dressing on the side (which is also the best way to have a salad anyway!). My boyfriend ordered the New York strip medium rare, the only complaint of the meal was that his steak was slightly overcooked (closer to medium/medium well). He had a baked potato that looked delicious and he seemed to enjoy. I had the filet mignon and mac and cheese. The filet was PERFECT and deliciously cooked (I ordered medium rare as well and mine was exactly right). The Mac and cheese was yummy, although I would probably try a different side next time. Boyfriend's mom had the seafood fettuccine and it was HUGE! It has alfredo sauce and all kinds of seafood and some veggies. Everyone tried it and raved about it, but it was EASILY enough for two people and leftovers. Boyfriend's dad had the ribs that were, according to him, "The best ribs I have ever had". He pronounced them "fall off the bone and nice and moist". He passed one to Boyfriend and when he put it on the plate the meat literally fell off the bone and Boyfriend had a solid chunk of delicious rib meat. We were sitting right by the kitchen and the noise was still totally fine. The server was great, the food was great, and the price for all four of us was perfectly reasonable. All in all I would definitely eat here again, and a weeknight seemed to be the perfect time for a visit. Update: boyfriend's dad took a few leftover ribs home and in the car on the way he just said "I'll probably finish those ribs before I go to sleep. I was just thinking about them. Man those were good."

I took my wife for her birthday while we were in town. We had a wonderful server who was super nice and personable. She recommended some items. We were so full that there was no room for dessert. She heard me say it was her birthday and sent us home with an extra doggy bag with a slice of cake and almond ice cream. Soooo sweet of a thing to do. We will definitely be back!

I was pleasantly surprised by my late lunch at The Chop House. I had the tenderloin casear salad with blue cheese. The salad was well executed, and the steak was perfectly cooked (medium) with great flavor. I was enjoying my lunch by the fire so much that I sprang for a slice of their brambleberry cheesecake and coffee. The cheesecake was delicious and the waitress kept my coffee hot and refilled. The dinner crowd was just arriving as I left. Seems like reservations are a must for peak times. Good to know, as I will certainly be back.

My favorite place to eat in Hendersonville! Great food!! Excellent service always!

Very very disappointed in this place. I have heard very good things about the chop house so I decided to go for my birthday and I got the chicken Alfredo. It was TERRIBLE it was not edible! There was no Alfredo on the plate just butter that was over flowing along with the Parmesan cheese. I pretty much had a plate of cheese that was half melted and was in chunks. Every bite had cheese I couldn't even separate the noodles from the cheese when I could find them. The waitress asks how everything is and I tell her horrible that I don't know anyone who could eat this, she agreed and said this doesn't even look right and even picked up a fork and tried to get some noodles which she could not. She then told me that the manager was going to come by and ask if I wanted something else. The manager comes by and said I'm sorry can I get you anything else and I say yes I'll have the pork chop and he said ok. Little bit later he brings the food out and said I hope this is better sorry about that. Then my husband goes on to say we are very disappointed because we have heard good things about this place and we are here for my birthday, and the manager said oh happy birthday sorry we just have a party over there so then he said, I'll be back to check on you. We made a reservation for our time and we sat down and had our food before this party so there was no excuse as to why my food was not edible the place was not that busy. He was not apologetic at all about how bad my food was he should have been very embarrassed that's how bad it was. After a little while the manager came back to ask how everything was and I continue to say this is much better thank you and he said good and then walked away after we were finished our waitress once again said that she was sorry and gave us our bill and when I got our bill my meal was still on there I still had to pay for the replacement meal that I had to have because the one that I had before that was not edible. I'm very disappointed in this place and I will not be coming back the manager nor the waitress was apologetic at all for how bad my food was and considering we were there on a special occasion for my birthday my meal should have been comped seeing as how bad it was and seeing as the kind of restaurant it is. I will not be coming back very disappointed and honestly ruined my birthday dinner and went home hungry.

The atmosphere is kind of upscale yet they say it's a casual dining place. We stopped by for an afternoon meal after shopping in the area around them. We were greeted upon entering and led to our table quickly. The server came and took drink orders in a timely fashion. He seemed cool just a little too much of an ass kisser. Anyways, we both had filets that were cooked amazingly perfect. We had baked potatoes for our sides. No salad or soup came with the meal. We did get bread which was decent and plentiful. The only thing good about this visit was the filets. The service sucked, we couldn't get a refill for shit. He was too worried about having on that fake smile and ass kissing comments to notice anything else. Took forever to order dessert as we sat with empty plates & drinks. Then the dessert was mediocre. Avoid the microwaved, flavorless chocolate fudge cake, trust me.

Went here for a late night date night with my boyfriend. My meal.....a glass of pinot noir, an 8 oz steak, a skewer of shrimp, served on a bed of mashed potatos, with a side of baked apples. I ordered it rare but I know that is a bit of a difficult request with prime rib and most restaurants tend to like to error on a more well done side. It was all very good :-) My boyfriends meal....the same but he ordered it medium rare, on a bed of fettucini and a side of creamy spinach. His medium rare was pretty much the same as my rare. He also got a blue cheese butter for the top of his steak. He enjoyed it though :-) They both came with au jus, horseradish, herb butter, fresh bread and butter and a side salad. I hadn't been to the Chop House in a while and we both enjoyed it. The waiter was new and did a great job :-)

Great salmon and salmon salad .. Portions were very good and service was amazing .. The food over all was very very excellent .. Visiting from Seattle and I must say they preparation of the salmon was wonderful hands down best I have had and I've eaten. A lot of salmon :)

Great food. Great service. It was my first time visiting and I will return. The salads were amazing and portion sizes were well worth the cost.

One of our favorite places to eat in Hendersonville. We are a regular at this restaurant and the service and food is always great. Everything we had tried on the menu is fantastic. This is a small chain restaurant that will probably become a large chain because they have gotten everything just right.
(5)Tina C.
Basic Steak House good service from Darryl. I was not fond of the crab meat on top of my filet, and not enough sauce on my steak and it was a little Dry (I ordered medium well) so it was expected. Husband got Ribeye cooked Medium and it was great! Shrimp Bisque was really good as well as Prime Rib Chili! It was really spicy and I loved it but other person at my table could not eat it; too spicy for her, but she does not like spicy at all. Sides are small not to share like most steak houses. Good wine list $6-17 per glass, bartenders are order takers no showmanship at all.
(2)Russell M.
Very nice place for a chain restaurant. Good food, place is very nice, but service could easily be better. I have not had a food issue ever but seem to always experience the lack of good service. If they could train or hire better this place would be the best place in the city.

We met friends for dinner & ordered off their $10-11 menu. The food was fantastic & we will definitely be back again. What a nice change to not be rushed through a meal (we sat for about 2 hours). Great ambiance too!

So, this is Valentines Day, and we had high expectations before we even walked through the door. And we weren't disappointed (OK, the poor dog was disappointed that we didn't bring any leftovers home). I am so happy we made reservations. There was already a large crowd waiting when we came in, but they seated us immediately. I know the lights were set to create a romantic atmosphere, but my old eyes had a difficult time reading the menu. Joshua provided excellent service, attentive without being intrusive. His sense of timing was impeccable, allowing us to enjoy each course without being rushed or spending too much time waiting for the next course. We started with the scallops Rockefeller. The scallops could melt in your mouth, and were perfectly paired with the spinach, tomatoes, and toasted crumbs. My wife had the tenderloin in peppercorns sauce, and it was wonderful. The peppercorns weren't overly spicy but were very flavorful. I had the horseradish-crusted filet, and it was awesome. The horseradish provided the perfect kick, and they actually know how to serve a rare steak. It was definitely the best steak I've had in years. My wife had a Cosmopolitan and thought it was a little weak. I tried the Renwood Old Vine Zinfandel and became a fan. My next task is to find a store that carries it here. For dessert, we shared a piece of key lime pie. No, actually, I let her have a bite of my pie, but it was delicious and was a great way to end a great dinner.
