    I wish more places were open late so we'd never have to consider coming here. 20 mins later we got our drinks! Customer service is horrible, and we've been here several times and never had a good experience.

    Bacon double cheeseburger has no bacon. Steakburger with no cheese has cheese. Slowest drive thru I've ever been through.

    I love a good diner burger, but the distinction of this place is in how terrible the service is. It felt dirty and unkept. Staff was wandering around but no one seemed to be helping any customers. People were lining up to pay their tickets, but no one was at the front to take their payment. The drive thru may be a better option, but I'd just stay away.

    It's main goal should be customer service. Instead, they take their precious time . We waited almost 40 minutes to a hour to get our food, which I don't deem as acceptable . It was so slow, we considered leaving. Quite honestly it was confusing why it took so long considering there were only about 6 total other customers. I will definitely be avoiding this place if possible, which is a shame because it has pretty good food.

    The food is decent and the shakes are great, low rating due to poor customer service. Workers are often rude, unhelpful, and self involved. The bare minimum of being friendly and greeting the customer isn't even met most of the time.

    This place is a constant disaster. I have came to this location a couple times and not one time has it given any hope that they want to accomplish something good. Service is dissappointing and slow. The food is the food. What can you expect from Steak and Shake. Greasy everything with no preparation. It is difficult to mess up a milkshake but I was given a different one than what I ordered. So add this to all the other bad reviews. Hire someone that actually cares were they work.

    They need a new manager , new staff or something new ! Because this place is a wreck ! Every time I order something , the order is completely wrong . I ordered a chili cheese dog that was under cooked , watery and just gross , at the same time my husband went into complain about my daughters hot dog that had mustard on it which we asked to leave off . Every time we have gone through , it has been a disaster with food and service . The girl at the drive through was so clueless she didn't even give back the right amount of money . Then had a huge attitude . Someone doesn't know how to cook or count money

    Awesome burgers and are open late which is hard to find apparently when you are outside of Las Vegas :) first choice was Taco Hell but then we discovered this gem!

    When I eventually get to eat...The food is good. But between the wait times at the door (with no one else waiting), and the time it takes to get drinks and orders...The time spent going to eat here is not worth it. I experienced this with Hendersonville, Antioch, and Madison locations. Must be an operations problem because they all suck when it comes to service. I just don't go there anymore

    Worst service EVER!!! They should fire everybody in the place and start all over or get someone who knows how manage. I gave this place 3 tries and every time service got worse!!!! For example, It should not take 30 minutes to get someone to take a drink order and then another 20 minutes to actually get drinks....

    do not ever eat here!!!!!! worst ever period!!! i repeat do not eat here!!!!!!! go somewhere else to spend your money!!!! the manager was our "sever" who took our order and that was it!! the table next to us walked out because they never got their food!!! i could go on and on with details but all you need to know is... don't give this place any business!!!!

    Today is the last time I will EVER eat at this steak & shake again. First off, this is the third time I've left this place feeling either annoyed, unhappy , or just downright pissed off. The teeny boppers they have working there are lazy, rude and complete idiots. Every time My order has been wrong... How hard is "no tomatoes please"? For all the fast food employees who want a raise... Start doing your job and get things right, and then maybe you'll deserve pay higher than minimum wage. I've only ever ordered from the drive thru, so I don't know how the sit down service is( but from the other reviews, it isn't that great either). Waited for 10 min after ordering, food was cold, hot dog so greasy it leaked and made a hole in the bottom of the bag, and it was a kids meal. Fruit served with it was rotten, and was practically inedible. All of this coupled with bad service and piss poor employees will most definitely make me want to NEVER come back again.

    Needed a quick bite to eat around midnight, and at that time choices are limited. I've heard good things about the "late night" food at Steak N Shake, so I thought I would give it a chance. The crowd was what you would expect for midnight on a Saturday -- lots of high school kids hanging out in the parking lot (and barely avoiding hitting each other with their cars) and high schoolers and pre-21 kids in the restaurant. I got seated quickly (as there were lots of tables) but the guy who seated me didn't let the waitress know, so it took a bit for her to come get my drink order. Also, the table on the booth had been wiped down with all the crumbs going on to the seat, so I had to dust off my own seat before I sat down. I ordered the mini-sliders and I really wanted cheddar instead of American, but she told me that they don't actually have actual cheddar cheese just "cheddar cheese sauce". I stuck with the American cheese. The reason I'm giving this two stars is my entire meal one of the guys that was supposed to be working (had his uniform on and even had the drive-thru headset slung around his neck) and three of his friends sat in the booth in front of mine and talked very loudly about digestive problems eating food at Steak N Shake had caused them in the past using appropriately graphic terms. It was a bit disturbing. When I went to go pay my bill I asked to see the manager and waited a few minutes for her to come from "in back". I didn't ask, but I assumed she might credit my bill given that one of her employees was one of the people having the rude conversation. Unfortunately, she didn't. She did apologize.

    I will never support an establishment that reenforces judgmental behavior towards their guests. "I had the WORST experience at Steak N Shake tonight. As I approach the window after placing my order, I can hear the co-workers talking VERY loudly about me on the other side of the glass: "I thought that was a woman". "Good god, That guy HAS to be gay". "He's gay. He's totally gay!". All of them laugh from the other side of the window. I get it, my voice is slightly higher than the average 17 year old, but they crossed the line. When she hands me my food, I say: "Can you please tell (a certain co-worker) that this window is not sound-proof, and I will be calling to complain." Her face turned blood red. As I pull into a parking spot to eat my food, I see a co-worker walk outside to the drive-thru window and REENACT what just happened whilst laughing. I called the manager and he said he knew exactly who I who talking about. I will never go back again. EVER. 5-15-14"

    Terrible service. My order came with the wrong fries--I ordered Cajun and received the traditional. We ordered a milk shake and when it didn't come with the meal we gave them time thinking they were making it and would bring it when it was ready. Our server never came back. We stopped another server and asked and she went to get our milk shake and never came back either. We did see her again walking around but she purposefully avoided eye contact with us and after waiting 10 minutes after completing our meal and never seeing a server, manager, or receiving the rest of our order we left. I had the guy at the register remove the items we didn't receive from the order. I saw the receipt asked for you to leave feedback so I went to the website to do so; the link doesn't work from any computer I tried for email comments. So I called the number (1-877-STKNSHK) and the woman taking my comments got my name wrong after I reiterated it several times, didn't summarize my complaint matching what I had just told her as she read it back to me, and when I saw my email summary from corporate Steak and Shake there was nothing in it regarding customer service, no coupons, just a "thanks for letting us know" generality. I never call to leave negative feedback on anything; I know jobs in the service sector can be terrible and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. In my call I stressed that the server was not rude or bad, just that we never saw her again. I would blame this on management as it wasn't busy yet nothing seemed to be getting done. I was not satisfied with how corporate handled this issue either. I just read that the board and company as a whole is struggling so I suspect systemic mismanagement of the entire company, especially coupled with the other scathing reviews here. Anyway, food--decent enough, cheap, small-to-mid portions.

    Worst service ever. Been several times and it's all the same, slow, typically unfriendly service. Recently sat at the front counter with my daughter and was totally ignored by the staff, including the manager. After about 8 minutes, we just walked out. This is not the first time, I don't know why we keep trying to go here. I think I am done with them, at this location, anyway.
