Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Cleanest restaurant in town. It's not fancy but it is well run and fast service. My family and I have eaten here for 18 years now. Family run and they always remember you and what you like! I can send my husband to pick up dinner and he just tells them he needs our order. That way he doesn't screw it up. They do a huge drive thru business and everything is always fresh and fast. If you go in to eat, it's homey and quiet with a spotless clean table and booth. In all the years, I've never seen it dirty. They don't take debit or credit cards but their prices are very reasonable and portions are huge. A family can eat here for less than fast food and if you pick wisely, it's much healthier. Our favorite is broccoli chicken with steamed rice.

Bring cash or check. Don't expect super friendly, instead expect a good price on solid Chinese take out every time. Meals under $8 with your choice of rice. Beef and broccoli is a win with plenty of veggies. The chicken and veggies is bland and I don't recommend that dish. Some of the best crab Rangoon I've ever had. I will say the breaded chicken dishes are more breading than meat. I'd recommend a non breaded choice. Egg rolls are also a favorite. You get your money's worth every time. It should be on your take out list near Hendersonville.

Best chinese around! I love how their chicken is bite sized and not overly breaded! Everything always tastes fresh and seriously the best crab rangoon ever! I have never been disappointed here! Oh and the price is beyond reasonable for everything! :)

Had the general tso's chicken. Was okay but definitely not the best Chinese I've had. Affordable and good sized portions. Cash and check only, so that's a negative for me as I rarely have cash anymore.

Every Chinese place has the good and the bad. Overall this place is pretty good. I have been getting food from here for over 15 years. Their General Tso's and several other dishes are good. My main love is their Crab Rangoons. They are the absolute BEST you will ever eat. They are as good or better than even high end restaurants. Their fried rice is OK but their Egg Drop Soup is horrible. I actually split up my orders and get certain dishes from them and the rest from another down the street.

I love General Tso's chicken and this is the place I first discovered it was back when I was in middle school. It's thus the General Tso's chicken by which I judge all others. I've always liked the food here and make an effort to stop here when I'm back in Hendersonville. The family that owns it is very friendly- even though I haven't been there for years they still recognized me coming in. It's not the world's greatest most authentic Chinese food, but it is delicious and certainly better than many other places. I noticed a guitar and mike setup in the corner- are they having open mic nights now?

There are a few things here I'm not crazy about, but I keep going back again, and again, and again, and again for the Chung King Pork. It's in a savory garlic brown sauce, has carrot, cabbage, zucchini, and bamboo chutes, as well as whole dried chili peppers. It's hot enough to break a sweat, but still enjoy all the flavors. The portions are generous for the price, and the service is always fast. I can see why they have been around for so long.

Fortune House is definitely one of my favorite Chinese places out in H-ville. Though I can't say I'm always ecstatic to venture out to Sumner County these days, when I find myself there it's good to know of a little spot where I can get some solid, traditional Chinese cuisine. The staff is nice, though their English is a bit limited, which sometimes leads to minor misunderstandings. Regardless, they have all of my favorite dishes (General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour pork, sesame seed chicken, et cetera), and their prices are pretty low. It's a nice place to dine in, but they also have a drive-through. Some people complain that Fortune House is a bit greasy, but I personally don't see it. Their portions are enormous, and if you eat there you get free refills on drinks and you'll get to dine on their fancy plates. They typically play some pretty bad local radio, but I've grown quite adept at tuning it out. Fortune House is solid, and if you find yourself in Hendersonville (for some reason), it's probably one of the better spots to grab a quick lunch.

I love the crab rangoon at Fortune House - they have the best! They also have great shrimp/chicken fried rice and of course all the traditional Chinese favorites like beef & broccoli. Fortune House is a great family-owned restaurant with authentic and delicious meals. The portions are large and the price is great. I frequently use the drive-thru and have never had a single mistake in my order. Just make sure you bring cash or check because they don't take credit cards.

I'm convinced that this is the best Chinese food in Hendersonville. The chicken is always tender, and the breading is always just right. It's also VERY inexpensive, and the staff is very polite. Just be warned in advance that they only take cash!

I've lived in China before and have the scars and sooty lungs to prove it. This food is as authentic to Chinese food as pizza hut pizza is to a pizza in Italy. It's fast food in the style of dreary steam tray heated stir-fry, glopped with sauce and salt and served without style. Which is not a bad thing if that's what you want. But when even the rice is stale and dry looking, you have to wonder if there isn't some better option out there.

If you have never had good Chinese then I could see someone rating this place as a 3 or better; however this place is the worse I've had in Tennessee thus far. Did I forget to mention I had the privilege of stay up all night with the bubble guts thanks to the General Tso Chicken and Crab Ragoons. I couldn't even give the left overs to my dogs. The WORSE of TN Chinese restaurants.

The sweet and sour chicken is great and the egg rolls are very good too. Service is also good

Drive-thru Chinese places are a rare and strange beast in most places I've lived, and Fortune House is no exception. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, look elsewhere. If you are looking for normal carryout Chinese fare, prepare to be disappointed. However, if you are looking for tasty but unconventional "Chinese" food at very reasonable prices with drive-thru convenience, Fortune House is home! The food is...interesting. Expect lots of small pieces of everything in a styro tray with rice. They do fried or white, as is normal for most Chinese restaurants. Not an excessive dump of cheap veggies (read bell peppers) common to most carry out Chinese places in the South, but no big meaty chunks, either. Flavor is good, but not necessarily what the label would suggest. No surprises. Their prices are very fair, except on the chicken sticks, which are sold individually for a buck a stick! Service is fast, if a bit less than friendly, and don't be shocked if you get directed to a parking spot from the drive-thru, as there is no room for a line of more than two or three cars to form. Deductions for food quality and authenticity, as well as service issues, but a better option than typical fast food, if you need to hit a drive-thru.

This place isn't the best in town. The fried rice was terrible. Go somewhere else.
