Nov 2014: This place is AMAZING! We walked in and they were cooking up fresh bacon that made the entire establishment and even the street leading up to it smell delish! We had two meals, extra bacon, and coffee for only $12. The service and the food were amazing. We will definitely be coming back every time we visit TN! Update April 2015: THE DONUT BACON CHEESEBURGER! This pregnant belly's dream

Yelp delivered again. A true throwback diner experience from Norman Rockwell small town USA. We stopped in and 4 of us ate breakfast, with drinks for, I shit you not, $19.50. Good, homemade diner food. They have daily lunch specials. Friday is Soup Beans and cornbread, beef stew on Thursdays usually, and for real Grandma's cobblers. I think I heard chili on Mondays. This family owned/operated place has been in business for 48 years. The two unassuming and attentive staff working were the owner's son and the cobbler Grandma's granddaughter. I didn't pry about their relative places on the family tree, but they were super nice and genuinely glad we enjoyed the food. I think a burger is $3. I'll definitely come back here and recommend it highly. I'm willing to wager you couldn't keep a coffee cup empty for more than one minute.

Creating an atmosphere all it's own, Tipton's Cafe is must stop for locals and those traveling through. I'd stumbled upon on this gem via Siri and Yelp while in town visiting family. Inside you'll find excellent heart warming food and great personalities to match. Meeting a friend here for breakfast was one of the highlights of the day! Do beware the two hour parking on the street, ... seems it's watched closely on weekdays. Can't wait to return and bring more friends and family!

Great simple, hometown cooking!! I love the look as it's just a classic old diner. The service is always great and the food is always delicious!

This place is a small diner in downtown Greeneville. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. Get there early for lunch or you won't get a seat. They have down south home style cooking. I got the biscuits and gravy and they were delish! The food was out in less than 5 minutes and the service was good.

Ordered some biscuits and eggs, everything was pretty bland. The restaurant was pretty awkward to be in. (Very tight knit.) At least they had CMT on playing some garbage Blake Shelton music videos.

I was lured in from the street by the smell of bacon. The food was great and the people were very friendly. Sitting on a stool at the counter and watching your food being cooked...old school done right.
