I love cracker barrel breakfast. I've been to many and they all met my expectations besides this one. This particular Cracker Barrel is located near my parents house and they are HORRIBLE. About 2 years ago me and my family dined in the restaurant for breakfast. I remember ordering pancakes. As I was eating them I became very sick because they mixed my order up and hid peanuts in them. I began choking and had to go to the emergency room so I didn't die. I ventured back in October of this year to this location and ordered hashbrowns and they gave me a hashbrown casserole. This morning I placed a to go order at 10:52 and I arrived at 11:00 because it is very close to my house. I paid for my order that was to ready in 15 minutes. At 11:30 I asked the manager what was going on because I was just standing around in the mob of customers who couldn't figure out where the line formed. She said the cashier accidentally cancelled my order after paying for it and that she would have them go remake it. Not once did anyone update me on the status of the order or show any interest in offering me a seat. When the manager returned she cancelled the charge on my card and finally gave me my food at 11:40. I ordered plain hash browns, 2 pancakes and an egg. When I got home at 11:48 I ate almost all of my cold rubbery food because I was hungry and didn't feel like the terrible experience should be wasted. I did not consume the egg because it was raw and I don't have spare time to return to the emergency room.

This was your typical Cracker Barrel. Restaurant and restrooms were clean, servers were friendly, and food was served hot.

I love this Cracker Barrel. When I go, I usually get the Meatloaf dinner or the country ham (which I must say is AHHHMAZING!) with green beans, mashed potatoes, and turnip greens. YUM! This is the typical country restaurant, but better. The food comes out fast and hot, but it tastes like it's been cooked slow, just like Grandma makes it. Everything on the menu is really good. As for the servers, I guess it just depends on the day you go, because some have been really short and ill-tempered, and some are really friendly and talkative. And I just HAVE to mention the manager. He makes me day everytime I go there. He walks around and asks everyone he can how they are and he says "Absolutely, absolutely!" He's one of those people that will instantly give you a good mood if you're down and out. The store side is VERY clean, and I love the old-timey decorations hanging all over the place. This Cracker Barrel location is my go-to for when I'm having a southern soul food craving :)

I love Cracker Barrel. We go at least once a month, and we've never had a bad meal, never had bad service, and never left hungry. I love being able to get breakfast any time of day, and I frequently do. My favorite is the smokehouse breakfast with their down-home biscuits and gravy. I also love their pancakes with real maple syrup. For lunch, they have a bunch of country salads which are all good, as well as a selection of sandwiches. My favorites are the grilled cheese with bacon and the steak biscuits. For dinner, I love the chicken and dumplings, my wife loves their meatloaf, and my daughter's favorite is the catfish.

Usually I get the breakfast meals, but today I went for the Reuben sandwich plate. This is a great sandwich. Its probably the 2nd best Reuben in Nashville. (My opinion). The waitress was very nice, and the food came fairly quick. If you like Reubens , you gotta try one here.

I love this cracker barrel. Some of these reviews suprise me as I've been here so many times and not had any of these experiences. Maybe I'm just lucky. As for slow service, the only reason it would be slow is if it's busy. And, btw, this is a CB in case to missed the first mention; they are generally always busy and for good reason. If some of these reviews saying this place has slow service.. I would venture to say you should probably be at a McDonalds drive thru to be in and out. Honestly. Now there are some unacceptable instances I'm certain now and again, but with a little common sense, one can distinguish if something's not right or if it simply is because the capacity reached in the restaurant. Anyways. Visit for yourself, don't take my word for it and if you find something not up to par, give them a chance to fix it. These guys and gals aim to please and will within their best resources.

Busy, a bit of a wait, but overall not terrible. The best part is playing checkers and that little peg thingy game on the tables. At least I'm not a *total* ignoramus. If you haven't been here you should go, and also who the hell has never been to cracker barrel?

Servers are great. Food is not that good. Chicken and dumplings were disappointing. Chicken was dry. Corn bread and biscuit are a bit dense for my taste. Mac and cheese is made with real cheese. Sweet tea is perfect. There was a long line at the cashiers. Not sure if thats normal. But I went on a Tuesday night. Prices are great. A hearty meal for less than $10.

My country fried steak and gravy was tasteless. My seasonal veggies were cold. My fries were cold and old. Our cornbread was forgotten. We were seated relatively fast.

We went in at 5 for an early dinner. We were sat in the middle of the section with nobody around us. They sat 3 other tables around us over the next 15 minutes while we looked at the menu. 2 waitress come out of the back and started taking the other people order who got there after us. We asked someone if anyone was going to take out order and she said she would go in the back and check. After sitting in amazement for a few more minutes we decided to leave. We told the girl who seated us that nobody even recognized we were sitting there and the manager or trainer standing next to her asked what section we were in, apologized quickly, and then he went back to his conversation with the hostess like it wasn't really a big deal we were leaving. Very disappointed with the service!

I love Cracker Barrel. I love it, love it, love it. I know, it's a chain and I'm supposed to be too cool for chains, but sometimes a good thing spreads and expands because it's good. Cracker Barrel have, amazingly, managed to keep it consistent and good. Things I adore about Cracker Barrel: 1. Stuff to look at while you wait 2. You can buy Goo Goo Clusters 3. Hash brown casserole 4 Hash brown casserole 5. The biscuits and the best biscuit gravy anywhere 6. The coffee I also love that you can make a platter out of four sides - the turnip greens are to die for, and the homestyle chicken meal (only available on Sundays) is amazing - plan to share it with someone or take some home because it is massive! I'm kind of disappointed that they stopped giving you the slice of orange with breakfast - I always thought that was a nice touch, and yes Cracker Barrel, I did notice; however, I'll forgive you because everything else is just so amazingly delicious!

I'm writing this review based on several different visits. That's why they are getting a 2 from me instead of a 1. On ALL visits (a total of 4 different times) the food has been either cold or lukewarm. The orders have been wrong or we had to ask for something more than twice. The servings have been small. The service was horrible on 2 of those visits, however the manager did try to make it right when we complained on 1 of those visits (another reason it gets a 2 instead of a 1). We were given excuses for the bad service every time. Either they're being overworked or understaffed. Maybe that's true, and if it is then management here is the problem! I can say, in all honesty, this is the worst Cracker Barrel I've ever been to. And, as a native Tennessean, that's a lot! I believe if this Cracker Barrel were dependent upon the locals for customers, they would already be out of business. But since they are directly off of Interstate 65, this saves them. They get an unsuspecting crowd of tourists who think they are going to get another great Cracker Barrel meal. My advice....move on to the next one down the road if you can. I kept hoping I was just catching them on a bad day...over...and over. But now I know it's pretty par for the course. I know I won't be back to this one.

I will be honest. I am not normally a huge fan of Cracker Barrel. This is the first time I have been to one and we had fast service, hot food and everything came out right the first time. We went with a party of 12 people and they were awesome!! Everything came out correct the first time, service was fast and the food was hot. I have been to the Mt Juliet one and the food is normally cold and not what we ordered so imagine my surprise when we went here. Well done Goodletsville team!!

This is a well established and great Cracker Barrel. The food is always hot and fresh. The servers are friendly and there are lots of cool items in the old country store. Be sure to check out the clearance items in the back. Great iced tea.

Add me to the cult of Cracker Barrel. I made my first visit Saturday at the suggestion of a friend, and it was love at first bite. The servers were genuinely folksy, older women who poured on the "honeys" and the "darlin's" and tolerated my insane need to make conversation and ask questions like we've been friends for a decade. I had the shrimp po' boy (limited time offer) with cole slaw and fries. As much as I loved those sides, I really fell for the hashbrown casserole, fried apples, fried okra and onion rings. And Cracker Barrel considers all of those foods "vegetables," which is fine by me. I was a bit disappointed in the gift shop, as I collect post cards and couldn't find a single one.
