Very good! Vegetable soup is outstanding! My favorite is Beef and Snow Peas. Very pleasant servers and soft (new age) music in the background. I really appreciate that instead of the more traditional music of the region that one usually hears. All in all, my favorite oriental restaurant anywhere.

The best Chinese food I've ever eaten. The food is so clean, not greasy at all and the crab wontons are to die for!

I'm going to write a review on this place just based on 4 dishes that they have here. I'm not going to review their American-Chinese items... cause that's not why you ask a Taiwanese man why he likes a certain Taiwanese-Chinese restaurant... 1. Shrimp Rolls 2. Braised Pork Rice 3. Boneless Flank Noodle Soup 4. Chicken with Basil So let's start with the appetizers... Shrimp rolls... Frigging awesome... next! Oh dear, the ridiculously unhealthy braised pork rice... Just so you know, braised pork is essentially bacon. If I name this bacon and rice, you can probably get the picture. The bacon is cut in a bites not in slices. They also top it with a braised egg! This is really authentic, and you would taste awesome in every bite. I just can't have it as often as I want! Why must you tempt me, Panda!!! The Boneless Flank Noodle Soup is done a very Taiwanese way. The owner being Taiwanese and all, I thank him for staying true! All I need extra is pickled vegetables and it'll be like I'm back in Taiwan! And the chicken with basil is also a traditional Taiwanese dish, but it's also a little bit on the greasy side, so I don't have it often as well. A major criticism I'll have for Royal Panda is I wish that they print out a new menu. Majority of the items on the authentic menu pages are discontinued due to a low number of people asking for them... so sad... There are a little bit more traditional vegetable dishes and American-Chinese dishes that other Chinese or Taiwanese folks would enjoy, but I'm just listing my 4 favorite comfort meal/dishes here.

This is a neighborhood gem. Prices are reasonable. The wonton soup and the egg drop soup are served piping hot and are well seasoned. The egg roll and the spring roll are fresh and full of flavor. The fried rice is perfectly cooked. The chicken and broccoli was very tasty

Best Chinese food in town. Try Mr. Woo's hot mustard with anything you order. I love how the menu has two sections. One for americanized dishes and another for more authentic Chinese. Empress chicken, basil chicken, lo mein, sesame chicken, and wonton soup are all great. Such good service and pleasant atmosphere. Just be careful for the sweet tea, make sure it's half and half otherwise it's like candy drink! :)

Definitely not real chinese food. Was mediocre. Ordered lo mein it was plain and they used spaghetti noodles, tomato beef was bland...fried rice was good though. I would not return.

The BEST Hot and Sour soup you will ever have! Food is always wonderful. The owner does all he can to take care of special diets, etc. My Grand kids' favorite restaurant as the food is great, tastes wonderful and it is a fun place to go!

Ordered take-out with a friend (we got lots of food bc she's preggers). I've never had food from here before but my friend had so it was promising. I ordered Ma Pao Tofu from the Chicken section of Menu 2. I assume Menu 2 is the more authentic menu? I'm not sure and since it was take out ordered online. I guess I could call and ask but that feels awkward to call just for that haha. The egg drop (they're fancy and call it egg flower) soup is awesome as it always is everywhere. Also the crab wontons are really good. I actually enjoyed every bit of it, even the crunchy top part. Usually I dislike that part. The crab filling was very good and well balanced. I enjoyed a piece of the sesame chicken. It's got a nice flaky breading and that sauce! It seriously makes the chicken taste like candy. If you don't like sweet then stay away! Otherwise YUM! The Royal Panda Basket was an actual basket made of lo mein I believe. I liked it with the food it came with but my friend wasn't so fond of it. I honestly didn't like the Ma Pao Tofu with ground chicken. I make a version at home that I like better with sausage. It might be that I'm not used to the real thing. I get the sense that it was well made but just not my thing. Summary: Egg Flower Soup- Delish Crab Wontons- Amazing!! Strawberry Smoothie- Unknown (didn't try it) Sesame Chicken- pretty good (sauce makes it taste like candy) Ma Pao Tofu (also spelled Ma Po Tofu) (spicy)- meh Royal Panda Basket- odd but interesting and pretty good. I just feel it wasn't as authentic as I'm looking for. Excellent soup and wontons, but the food is just ok.

My brother and his family live in Austin, I live in Portland, but we love to eat here when we visit our mother in Memphis. Our family has been coming here for years. While it isn't the most gourmet I've had, it's pretty good. We always enjoy the lunch specials, which include soup, eggroll, salad, rice, entree, a donut and a fortune cookie. In the past, I've had good versions of sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken and more. On a recent visit, we split a super tasty, crispy, yummy egg roll. For my entree, I had the moo shu chicken, a super tasty stir fry wrapped in thin pancakes served with a sweet and tart Hoisin sauce. This was the best version of moo shu I've ever had! Service was friendly, fast and fun! I'm always eager to visit again.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants. Always delicious. Best hot and sour soup I have ever had.

They did not bring anything we ordered and we had to ask for soup, hot mustard, spoon and more ice in the warm glass of tea. We ordered a meal with all the sides, but they brought out just the main meal and wanted to charge everything individually. My beef and broccoli was ordered to cook hot it was NOT and the broc was uncooked! The food was terrible. No taste what so ever. Very costly for what tasted like hospital food.

Amazing....ly huge lunch specials. You get a salad, a soup, an egg roll, rice, an entree, and a chinese donut all for $8.99 or $9.99 depending on the entree. To me.. this was way too much food and a waste of money, since I ate half of it. But it is a killer deal none the less. Now... to address all of the people raving about the hot and sour soup... I inhale hot and sour soup. I could eat it alone for lunch for the rest of my life. Royal Panda's hot and sour soup... no. This is not something I'll every go out of my way to order again. Don't get me wrong, the soup wasn't nasty... it just wasn't hot and sour soup, in my opinion. It was all broth, egg, and tofu. No mushrooms or veggies and it tasted more sweet than anything. If it was a soup with a different name, I probably would like it... but I feel the need to warn anybody else reading these reviews.. people keep saying it's the best in Memphis. If you truly like hot and sour soup... order the egg drop from this location.

Here on Business, and my Patrons took me here for lunch. Nothing revolutionary on the menu, but everything I had was fab. Especially the Hot & Sour Soup, which is usually a mess at most Chinese joints, but here it was elevated. A tasty feed.

This is my brother's favorite restaurant. Meals are worth the price and very tasteful and filling. Their menu is huge so everyone can find something they like. Their hot tea is very good and they also serve bubble tea which you don't see very often. My favorite is their hot and sour soup but I also like almost every entree dish I have had there.

Was looking for Chinese delivery and we've never had this before so we gave it a shot. A little pricey. Best crab wontons I've ever had! Never had egg drop soup before and once I started I couldn't stop! I got the combination lo mein and there's enough food for two. So you're definitely getting your money's worth. It was good but the brown sauce is something different. The meats were all good but the shrimp stood out the most - kind of wish I would have just gotten shrimp lo mein! Will be eating here or ordering from again. 8/3/2014 Since then we have ordered combination fried rice and it's good, plenty of meat unlike a lot of other places we've been to. Was hesitant but ordered shrimp rolls (appetizer) for the first time and they are scrumptious! If you like shrimp, preferably fried - try it! Also got the sesame bean cake (dessert).... i was expecting something sweet with sesame seeds on it. It's fried and has some bean filling. The filling is what I didn't like. I will not order that again but our child is eating it.

I ate here for lunch. It was recommended to me by a friend from Chicago that had eaten here while on business and had taken his Memphis family here for dinner. Very clean, well decorated restaurant with attentive and helpful waitstaff. The restaurant is back in a corner of the shopping mall down from the Target Store. The potstickers where great, with tasty dipping sauce. The chicken fried rice was very good as well, albeit was a huge portion for lunch. Can't wait to go back for dinner with my wife.

I have eaten at tons of Chinese food places. Yes, I do like the American-Chinese versions of food. Being that as it may, this place has very fresh food. The vegetable soup has crisp veggies, their Chicken Vegetable dish is healthy tasting as well as yummy. I do wish they offered spicy special dinners as nothing I've tried seems to have any spice at all. Very bland in that department. But, it's pretty good. I've had better. But what makes me keep coming back to this place is that they deliver for $2. Yep! It's a winner for me! Oh, and Royal Panda, please give enough fortune cookies in your delivery. Someone always gets shorted when I order from you. Don't be stingy there. Thanks.

Royal Panda has become a personal favorite of mine since we moved to Germantown. I love that they deliver. Their sizzling tofu and shrimp rolls are my go-to items, but everything else I've tried has also been really good. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which is a huge plus as well. They clearly take pride in their restaurant!

One of our favorite places. And they deliver in the Germantown area. The hot & sour soup is the best. We love the sesame chicken, kung pao, sweet & sour shrimp, pretty much anything on the menu we've had has been delicious.

We have been eating here for 18 years now. Occasionally we try a different Chinese restaurant, but nothing comes close to Royal Panda. We love the triple delight (spicy) and the ginger chicken, but everything we have tried there is wonderful.

Best hot and sour soup you will find! Have only eaten here once but the service was fine and fast. I had a lunch special, broccoli chicken and it comes with the usual rice, egg roll and soup plus a small salad and sweet roll for $8. The staff was friendly. Again, I have only been here once but the ladies at the front smiled and were friendly to me. It is also not real "fancy" like some people said. It just looks like a typical Chinese restaurant to me. I will definitely be back, just for the hot and sour soup!

Well, the food is consistently good but this is overshadowed by the terrible service. The women running the front are snooty and terrible. If you place a to go order, which we have done numerous times the drill is always the same, "15 min" then when you arrive they ask your name, take your money, AND THEN PLACE YPUR ORDER! 15 mins becomes 45!!!
