My friend and I went for dinner last night, and I was pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is in a strip mall, but it's super classy inside, with nice decor and a very clean dining room. The menu is large, but not overwhelming. Our server was nice, attentive, and quick. My friend ordered a noodle dish and loved it. I got the daily special - this is the way to go I think! On Thursdays it's Honey Seared chicken and something else. The chicken comes with fried rice (really good fried rice too), a huge portion of both chicken and rice, a spring roll (one of the best I've had in Memphis), and a salad. My only complaint about any of the food is that the salad was meh - too much dressing, huge pieces of lettuce, and no way to cut it since you're only given a fork and spoon. It was fine, just not great. The chicken was cooked perfectly, with not too much sauce or breading. It's not the most "authentic" food ever, but it was good! My entire meal was $8 because it was on special, but the prices are pretty reasonable for everything. Our server was great, and kept our waters refilled and checked on us at appropriate times. She let us sit and talk for awhile and didn't bother us, the sign of a good server! I'll definitely be back!

Yesterday was my second time at Noodles. Needless to say, it had it's ups and downs, but overall, I would say it's ok. Here's the scoop: If you go there for lunch, they bring you your food. They have great lunch and daily specials, and the portions are what you would expect from a Chinese restaurant...enough to either stuff yourself or come home with leftovers. I've done both. But the service...oh the service. For lunch, you can get in/out of there fast. Perfect if you work in the area. For dinner, please don't go here if you're in a rush. The wait staff is not exactly training for the "fastest server" contest. The food is decent. My edamame was for sure overdone, so they didn't score any points there. However, I asked for my entire meal to be steamed (I ordered Szechuan chicken, sauce on the side, steamed, sub mushrooms for broccoli). They got every aspect of my complicated, healthy order right! And it was good...no complaints and everything was cooked perfectly. My recommendation. Perfect place to take your parents if they don't like super busy, loud places and decent food. Excellent for lunch if you want more than a salad/sandwich, but want to get back to the office in 45min.

Decent Asian fare. I'm totally addicted to the Bubble Tea. As for the main courses, it's all about the noodles.their portions are generous, and the ambiance is relaxing. For a non buffet experience, this place is worth a try.

Good food, nice atmosphere. Don't expect to be in and out in a hurry, definitely the kind of place to kick back and relax. I'll definitely be back.

It's really a conundrum to understand what Memphians appreciate when it comes to taste and flavor. They can't get enough "Tennessee-Mex" while complaining about authentic Latin food. They'll rave about franchise, big box "Asian-inspired" casual settings and look down their noses at bona fide Asia-Pacific cuisine. They make one trip Cali and they think they've been to the Far East. Noodles Asian Bistro has two locations in the Memphis area. Bartlett and Germantown. Fresh ingredients and a potpourri of Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese. A very delightful blend of Asia's finest. A must-try is the assorted selection of Bubble Tea Smoothies. One sip and you'll downright neglect your daily allowance of kcals. The atmosphere is inviting, clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive. So "y'all" give your taste buds a break from those monotone Mid-South "let's add some pulled pork" menus and give real food a try.

meh, disappointing. Bland, boring and not worth the money.

I have tried this place a few times and the food is good. It is certainly not a place I would usually go. I only go when friends suggest this place. The restuarant is clean and the staff is friendly.

I met a friend for lunch. I was in the mood for some non fried spring rolls, but they did not offer a vegetarian version. I opted for the miso soup which I have never tried. It was likely good for miso soup, but I don't think I'm a fan of miso in general. I munched on the crispy strips that accompanied the soup. My friend looking chicken salad. Overall, nice service and a clean, inviting place

My family and I ate there on a whim and all loved it. I get my hair done in the same plaza and saw the place..looked their menu up on line and decided to go for dinner. Great food..generous helpings (had to get a take-home box), nice serving people. I had Mongolian Beef, hubby had Pepper Steak, son had Teriyaki Chicken and daughter had Japanese Noodles with Chicken. Much better than PF Changs who tends to overcook everything. We decided right there while eating that we would come back.

The reviews were mixed but I have been craving Thai food since moving from LA. I was very disappointed in the coconut chicken Tom Yum soup and chicken curry. The potatoes were earthy like they had over wintered in my grandmother's root cellar and too much oil was used.
(2)Ashley H.
Love the dynamite shrimp! Pad Thai is good, but spicy! Food is always good- usually so take out over eating in simply because we have kids, but when we have dined in, the staff has always been friendly and helpful.

Pretty good. Definitely edible. I liked the fresh mushrooms in both the miso soup and fried rice, but the miso soup broth was a little too sweet. The fried rice was fine.
(3)Deanna T.
The Lettuce wraps we had for our appetizer were really good. Fresh, crisp, and flavorful. The food took a little while to come out, but once we got it we understood why. You can really tell that they make everything fresh and with a little extra love. Food was absolutely fantastic and worth every bit of the wait. Customer service was outstanding. Drinks never ran low. Good clean atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

One of the worst places for Asian noodles in town. I had their pad thai. Too sweet. I had their Korean spicy noodles. Also too sweet. Will not be getting either of those. Then I had their Chinese noodle soup. It's so horrible that I don't even understand how anyone can mess this up. Seriously. Just plain noodles with hot water adding a few drops of sesame oil would taste better. Bubble tea is also horrible. Service is nearly non-existent both times I went there. I will not be coming back.

Food was pretty good, we shared the two specials, but it's like they had a plate shortage because every time they thought we were done with a plate they asked to take it. It reminded me of Indian restaurants and the constant water refills.

Take your favorite chinese restaurant and mix it together with Panera... and that's what you get with Noodles Asian Bistro. A group of my friends at work like Mosa which is just down the road, but I find Mosa quite bland and a bit Americanized. Noodles on the other hand adds a little Asian flare that I am familiar with. Although not your traditional Chinese food, it hits the spot when you want to sit down and enjoy a meal with a friend. I was ill when I went, but I had the beef soup and was impressed. The Chinese chicken noodle soup alternative. Will be back to try the rest of the menu, and they have sushi too!

This was our first time at Noodles, and we enjoyed it. We came for lunch, so the Chinese dishes we ordered came with spring rolls. These were my least favorite part of the meal-they were mushy and pretty flavorless, so I was glad we didn't pay extra for them. We ordered orange peel shrimp and dynamite shrimp, both of which you could order mild, medium, or hot. We ordered medium, and wished we had ordered hot, because neither was very spicy. That being said, they were both really well done, especially the orange peel. I order this frequently at Chinese restaurants, and this was the best I've had recently. Plus, it came served over some really good green beans. We will definitely go back to try some of the Japanese and Thai dishes that they have available. The people in the restaurant were friendly, and the restaurant was clean and well stocked. A solid choice in my book.

Great people, service, and food. Gets better as we try more menu items! We drive 40 min from Hernando ms to eat her. Turning into out Sunday tradition!
(5)Gary P.
I like this place for lunch because it's close to work and fast. All kinds of Asian food on the menu from Japanese to Thai. The food is good not great! Portions are large. Mostly self serve, after you order they bring your food to the table. The help are friendly and efficient.
(3)Ann-Marie T.
I can't vouch for the noodles or the sushi, but their lettuce wraps are yummy! I go there to satisfy my lettuce wrap craving. I know my brother loves their noodles and my mother loves their Hawaiian fried rice. The staff is young, so they try hard. It's really clean and quiet. Definitely not a place I'd go on a date, but good for a quick lunch stop!
(3)Alex R.
We love Noodles! Probably eat here at least once a week. We usually order take out but we have eaten in several times. Service is a little slow but the food more than makes up for it. We can feed the whole family for bout $20. We get the egg drop soup, Lettuce wraps, Dumplings, or a Sushi Roll and then a big order of Chicken fried rice! Can't go wrong!

This place has a split personality. At lunch it's "fast casual", order and your food is brought out promptly. At dinner, it's sit down with full service. As a lunch place, it works. I like the concept, and it's better than the Pei-Wei's around. I'm not huge on fusion, but my wife is and I can find tasty dishes. At dinner, it just doesn't work. The place is not set up for seating service, from no waiting room to poorly trained servers. The food is the same, but more expensive yet you get no more value. It just doesn't make sense. My advice, go for lunch. ------Original Review Above------ I've had to edit my original review and knock off 2 stars. The last couple of times we went for lunch the food took way too long to come out (25 minutes in one case!) and the dishes were not brought at the same time. We didn't go to watch each other eat over an hour long lunch. The poor dinner service seems to have infected the lunch service as well, which is sad because the food is tasty.

Noodles' has to be one of Germantown's best kept secret concerning Asian dining. On entering, I received a warm welcome with a smile. I was quickly seated and the server set me up with an iced tea while I surfed the menu. I had a few questions, but the server was more than knowledgeable about where to steer me on the menu. I was amazed at the huge size portions compared to the prices. The food was delivered hot and loaded with flavor. I had the Korean Spicy Noodles, Shanghai Spring Rolls, and Chicken Egg Drop Soup. All three were excellent. When a restaurant offers excellent service, quality food; in addition to a unique environment and competive pricing, it all makes for a mutually beneficial relationship. Noodles, the business can prosper and the customers win as well. Keep up the good work Noodles and you will most definitely see me again.

Ehhhhhhh it was okay.

From the reviews I read on Yelp, I thought Noodles would be better. I ordered takeout & I fully understand at times that compromises the taste/quality/temperature of your food -- having worked in the restaurant industry for many years myself. But this just wasn't good - it wouldn't have been any better if I had dined in. While the service was fast & efficient (my order was ready when I walked in), once I got the food home & looked at it, I could tell it wasn't going to be great. I ordered the Dynamite Shrimp, which has 'Spicy' written next to it on the menu, thinking it might be like the Bang Bang Shrimp from Bonefish. Not even close. There was nothing spicy about the dish at all. Not in the least. A child could eat it. The menu description read 'Crispy jumbo shrimp tossed in a flavorful sauce in a bed of rice stick'. The shrimp were not jumbo, nor were they crispy. Soggy is more like it. And as I said above, the sauce was not spicy or even flavorful. And the 'bed of rice stick' was like eating stale, shredded cardboard. The spring roll it came with was good. And the side of brown rice seemed OK, although it really wasn't needed for this dish. The portion wasn't huge (as one reviewer states) or small, for that matter, but for $10 and some change, i expected to be able to make two meals out of it. Instead, I picked out the shrimp & ate them and threw the rest away. I will NOT be returning. I'm not a fan of Pei Wei, but in my opinion, it's better than this place.

Very good food with a nice decor and fair prices. The portions are generous and staff have always been pleasant. We go at least once a month as the kids like the honey chicken and chicken nuggets. If I could change one thing it would be the music. Get rid of the elevator tunes and try something a tad more conventional.

Great service. Just above par menu and ambiance.

Noodles Asian Bistro opened today (10/12/2010) in Germantown, TN. We visited for dinner around 6pm and found the place pretty well packed. They serve a modern fusion of the cuisines of China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Thailand. Noodles also serves bubble tea and bubble tea smoothies. Their menu agrees with their above stated concept, and you will find a nice variety of items. Their website lists the menu for your review. Noodles has take-out and sit-down dining in a spacious dining room. Hours are Sunday - Thursday 11am - 9pm, and Friday & Saturday 11am - 10pm. Plenty of wait staff to go around, but the kitchen was a bit slow (first day issues that I'm sure will improve.) Management was walking around the dining room checking with customers to make sure they noted any issues. In our first visit, we were in the mood for noodles/soup, and ordered their vegetable yakisoba, stewed beef noodle soup and a bubble tea smoothie. I had the stewed beef noodle soup which was prepared nicely with a very flavorful broth. The beef was tender, and cut to the right size, with just the right amount of noodles, scallion and baby bok choy. My dining companion had the yakisoba, and she praised the flavor of the dish. Her's came out a bit later than mine, and she got to sample my dish as well. In fact, she like it so much that I started to think that she would end up eating most of mine! Both dishes tasted very fresh. I attribute the bad timing to first night in a new restaurant, and the manager came out to apologize for the delay. We look forward to our next visit and the chance to taste some of the other dishes on Noodles menu.

I love it! Great portion sizes for a good price. This is my favorite Asian restaurant anywhere!

Horrible Chinese food. The restaurant looks nice inside, but the food leaves much to be desired. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to New Asia. When I went there, they were having problems with their credit card machine, so no one got charged. It's a good thing because I would not pay for the food they pass off as Asian. Everything is too sweet.

I'm normally not the biggest fan of asian fusion menus but this place really hit the mark on both food and service. They feature a huge menu that includes everything from Vietnameese inspired Pho soups to Pad Thai dishes and more traditional Chinese favorites. The Coconut Curry soup was outstanding and all of our entres were delicious as well. Germantown needs a place like this and I will definitely be back.

Third time was not a charm. Restaurant was empty. First server was extremely distracted. Wrong soup shows up immediately by appetizers and dinner. Server was apologetic and claimed the table was thrown at her when she arrived. Honestly, the food is tasteless. Too bad for Germantown. We need something like this.

Placed a takeout order at 5:55 PM for Pot Stickers and Teriyaki Chicken. I arrived at Noodles at 6:10, my order was waiting and the bill was under $15.00. There was enough food for both my wife and myself, plus a little chicken left over. The Chicken was great, the pot Stickers were exceptional. Very highly recommended.

My husband and I are visiting Memphis for the first time after living in Tennesee for 2 years. I wanted to try some famous Memphis BBQ for our first meal here. He, although eats Asian food practically everyday, wanted to see what Memphis had to offer asian food-wise. Being from CALI and surrounded by all things asian and delicious our tastebuds have been spoiled. Nashville's crop of asian restaurants failed to deliver anything more than "okay." taste-wise. I decided to yelp asian food and this came up. Seeing that it had fairly postiive reviews and that it served Bubble teas, i was game. The restaurant itself is very nice looking. I was impressed walking in. First sip of my lychee boba smoothie i was in love, until i slurped up the over cooked and hard boba pearls. Major FAIL... I'm super picky when it comes to boba and this is an astrocity to bobas everywhere. We order vietnamese spring rolls and calamari for appetizers. The spring rolls were a disappointment. Because of the lack of good asian restaurant in Tennessee i was forced to learn how to cook asian food to feed my husband. I attempted to make spring rolls for the first time last month and although not pleasing to the eyes, they were delicious. And this is coming from a novice cook. So these season chefs have no excuse. Calamari was decent. I ordered the shrimp pad thai and my husband had the tum yum seafood noodle soup. I took about 3 bites out of my pad thai and couldn't force myself to stomach anymore of it. I've never had a pad thai i didnt like, until today. My husband's tom yum noodle soup was just plain disgusting. Very confused about all the the positive reviews. My stomach is hurting from all the yuckiness.
