Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I just ate the beef chile rellonos (spelling?) Meal as a take out. My wife ate a Arroz con pollo. While we both agreed our dinner was very good, it was not exceptional. Nothing to complain about, but not addictive either. Bearing in mind we ate an hour after they served us, the takeout containers do very well in oven. I'm sure would be much better at their table. To respond to the comment about beef being unseasoned, I would much have preferred unseasoned beef. I thought it was on the salty side. To respond to the comment of beans being canned, that is ridiculous and would be much to expensive. Pinto beans are typically cooked in a large pot then mashed up using an auger on a drill the same way you mix drywall mud. Mine were fine. The service was attentive and efficient at collecting my order correctly and delivering what I paid for. Keep up the good work!!

The staff was very friendly but the foyer was left unattended and gave an empty feeling. However, the food was incredible. I'm guessing that every entree (done in or take away) comes with warm tortilla chips and a homemade salsa like you've never had before. The salsa is light but so flavorful! I had the burrito (steak) and was very satisfied with the quality and authenticity.

Great Mexican Food in a great location. Never been disappointed there.

Really hard to describe how poor this place is. The food was bland... the service was so-so. There is really no reason to go here (i won't be back). The salsa was boring. The white cheese dip was boring. I ordered a Chimichanga. The rice and beans were straight from a can. The chimi was stuffed with bland shredded chicken and a very small amount of cheese. The server took the soda glasses from our table back to the kitchen for refills (gross). They also re-used our Margarita glasses for refills! Seriously, when I finished mine, the server grabbed my glass, took it to the bar, poured more in and brought it back. Wacky! This place is not in the business of serving good food, it's here to make you "full". There are 4 of these texmex style restaurants in Germantown (Chapultepec, El Porton El Mezcal and this place)... all of them are bad. If you are hungry for Mexican food... drive to Collierville or Memphis. Do everyone a favor and don't spend your money here so that maybe they will close and a good restaurant will open in its place.

La Hacienda is, by far, my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Their white cheese dip is plentiful and their portions are huge. You can't go wrong with any of their locations. My personal favorite are their Enchiladas. The fajitas are great too! GO! You can thank me later!

TJ H put it best- this restaurant it baaaaad. Every time I come here it seems to get worse. Service? Nonexistent. Our waters were never refilled, after we asked twice. We ran out of chips, that also was never refilled. My chimichanga was soggy and cold. My grandmother ordered fajitas but requested that the beans and rice be given to my brother, who ordered 3 tacos. They also didn't enjoy their food. However the thing that pissed off the most was when our bill came- they charged us $5 for the beans and rice that my brother ate AND charged us full price for the fajitas, even though half of the dish was missing. I asked our server to correct the price, seeing that my grandmother didn't get the beans and rice and that my brother was supposed to get her portion, but the server was very rude and unwilling to correct the price. She was tipped .30 cents. Listen to TJ H's review- don't waste your money here and hopefully this place will close down soon.

The food was great. I had the delmar quesadilla and pico cheese dip. The restaurant is clean and very inviting on the inside. The only reason I took a star away was because the customer service was slightly lacking. When I looked around I could never find by waiter.

We came in with a party of 6 and we're seated right away. The white cheese dip is amazing and I asked the whole party on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, to rate their food everyone said 4 1/2 stars. Great food, great service.

Had an awesome meal. The combo I ordered had a beef tamale, beef poblano pepper, beef taco, and I swapped from a beef to a chicken enchilada. Food was excellent. Much better than your typical run of the mill Mexican. Lots of sauces and flavors. Ordered the 'chunky' guacamole dip as an appetizer. Was fresh and delicious. Even their salsa is flavorful and spicy. I'd give this place 5 stars but the service was pretty slow. Frozen margaritas are a good way to kill the time.

We had a quick taco salad dinner. I must say I enjoyed my meatless version more than the other nameless Hispanic restaurants we frequent. Maybe it was the addition of rice? All said our service was efficient and courteous and we enjoyed our meal.

The fajitas here are very good and the pricing for lunch isn't bad at all.

I hate giving less than favorable reviews however....this is my second visit and is consistent with the first visit. This review purely reflects this visit: Staff was fairly nice, meat was extremely oily, bug in my drink

We have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions. Food is average snd service fair comfortable seating. They have small outside patio and are located next to theatre.
