I wasn't sure what to get as everything looked good, but the girl at the front desk suggested I get the Southwestern Chicken Panini. It was a ciabata roll with pepper jack cheese, some spicy season grilled chicken strips, and a chipotle sauce. Nothing fancy, but it was tasty. I was a little disappointed in the chips that came with the sandwich....they tasted stale and the salsa was just blah. The place reminds me a lot of Panera. Very similar style menu. Should definitely check it out if you are looking for something healthy...

This is one of my frequent lunch spots, but you need to get there before 12 or things are very slow due to the high volume of business they do. I usually opt for the Lene's Light lunch where you can get a bowl of soup and half of ANY sandwich. Now this is a great deal because some of the sandwiches cost quite a bit more than others. Sandwiches are large and can easily be split between two hungry people.

This used to be my fave lunch stop. Not anymore - food tends to be cold or tastes warmed over from day before. Sometimes out of soup at busiest part of day. Doesn't seem to be well-managed at all. Very ill-prepared.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Holiday Ham & Deli right around the corner from my office. It's kind of hard to see from Poplar but it's very close to Petco. They serve as good a ham and cheese sandwich as you are going to get. The spicy, slightly sweet mustard they use gives the sandwich a perfect tang. I'm going to try their turkey next. Don't forget they sell ham bones to be used in soups.

Holiday Deli is a locally owned restaurant with soups, sandwiches and soups. Very consistent food, friendly faces and great service! Plus their loyalty program (phone or email) gives you a free $5 coupon for every $50 spent. Family friendly, they offer cheap kid meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 3pm. #spreadthelove
