Me and Cliff stopped here on a Friday night in Gatlinburg after a long drive and after walking in the cold. We both ordered the Bison Burgers and as an appetizer nachos and cheese/salsa. We wanted to order the sampler platter but they were all out, they were also out of a couple other appetizers. You can't really get nachos and cheese wrong but it tasted like they just put cheese and salsa into little plastic cups and served it. The cheese and salsa was probably jarred. The decor was not that great but i have to say that they probably think their food speaks for themselves. The tables were spaced out kind of close together so it didn't matter where you sat, you'd hit something with your chair. So to the Bison burgers. They were...delicious. And not overpriced at all! I had to add a little salt to them to get them just right but it was delicious. The waiter was friendly and even offered to take a picture with this bear that everyone takes pictures with. I'd go there again but for a to-go meal.

Food was good, space was very unique but took a while to get my water filled and service was a little slow. Overall good experience

American food done right. Not too fancy, just good. Portions are a major focus here and three words about their fries I'm excited to say: Crinkle. Cut. Perfection. Bison hamburger - I couldn't pass up the opportunity to eat a bison burger being that this far east it is impossible to find and I noticed a few things. As a very healthy red meat they dress by piling on the hand cut tomato and onion with even pickles on the side (no cheese). The meat (by itself) is very similar to beef but less fatty. It was excellent but completely under seasoned so over all lacking in flavor. They do keep mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise for anyone who wants it. My wife's (beef) burger on the other hand was dressed with barbecue, bacon and cheese and was much more sweet and savory. They also offer hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches and cover their bases with the American favorites.

Just got in from Michigan and this is the first food we've eaten. The bison burger with mushroom and swiss was sooo good! very flavorful meat and soft bun. BF had pulled pork sandwich and he liked that as well.

It was ok I wasn't that hungry food was the same as anywhere else. The waiter was really nice and helped me find an option

This place is NOT recommended!! My mother and I stopped here for lunch and have now waited an hour for just two sandwiches and chips!!

While spending a day touristing Gatlinburg with my wife, we stopped into Mountain Edge for lunch (because we couldn't find the other restaurant in the area we wanted to try.) Definitely has the ski lodge look going for it, and looks a bit out of place during summer time, but they did have some nice items on the menu so we gave it a shot. We were seated immediately, and our service was amazing throughout the entire lunch. I went with a Western BBQ burger and the wife had a turkey sandwich. Food came up fairly quickly, and we pretty much inhaled the meal. My burger was pretty good- burger was cooked correctly, and the onion rings and BBQ sauce were pretty tasty. The fries were also pretty tasty, I appreciate when I get good fries- they had a nice crisp and some nice seasonings. The wife also enjoyed her turkey sandwich- nothing overly amazing about it, but she did say it was tasty and fresh. I can't say I would go out of my way to eat here- there are a LOT of great restaurants in the Gatlinburg area, but if you happen to be walking around in the area, it's a nice stop. I felt like I got a good amount of food for the price I paid, and although it wasn't an amazing, knock my socks off meal, it was good, and a perfect lunch portion. The service is what prompted my 4 star review, however. Our server was attentive, stopped by often to make sure we were taken care of, and we didn't have to wait long for anything. Would definitely recommend for lunch if you're in the area.

Just okay. Food seemed like it was all from the freezer. Service was friendly.

After wondering the streets of Gatlinburg looking for a somewhat cheaper lunch alternative we headed up the steps to check out the Mountain Edge Grill. The atmosphere of the Mountain Edge is that of a Ski Lodge style restaurant. After looking at the menu we all decided to stay and have lunch. I had the Appalachian Trail Burger which has Onion Rings and BBQ sauce and was delicious. Others in the group had Burgers and Reuben Sandwiches, and enjoyed their meals as well. Overall this is a great place to stop and have lunch. They also have a cool outdoor seating area overlooking the town. I would stop again due to the fair prices and good food.

We went here twice during our stay in Gatlinburg, primarily because of the vegetarian options. The first time we both got the pizzas, which were good, but my nephew ordered a pizza about 20 minutes later and it was much more greasy and a little burnt. The next time we got the veggie sandwich and chicken salad. Both were light but filling. Service was good but not invasive. Oddly, invasive service seems to be normal in Gatlinburg, so we were happy with the service at Mountain Edge. Overall it was a good choice both times.

We stopped in to this place to get out of the rain and have lunch. I was skeptical at first because from the outside it doesn't seem like much. But when you get inside it's a whole different story. The place is decorated in a cute skiing theme and very spacious. The food was very delicious and you get a hardy helping for reasonable cost. They have a kids menu and restaurant is very kid friendly. It was a very nice place to eat and the staff are very friendly. I will defiantly go back.

First time here, and i usually do not leave a review on the first visit but from the moment we walked in, as a group of 10, we were greeted with a smile, were promptly seated, and the waiter Nathan was great, he was very detailed with our orders and took great care of us, the food was delicious, we ordered a Tram burger, 3 bison burgers, a soup and sandwich, a Reuben sandwich, a philly cheese steak, a grilled cheese, and an american classic burger. NOT ONE NEGATIVE COMMENT, from every member at our table. We would definitely come back here and would recommend to anyone in the Gatlinburg area, who is looking for a good quick lunch.

We stopped by around 2pm for a bite to eat. It was pretty dead inside, and we were immediately seated. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. I had the bison burger and the potato skins. The food came out hot, and it was all very flavorful and a big enough portion to split. I loved that the waitress was on top of the refills! I saw the other "so-so" reviews, and I was a little hesitant about stopping here, but I'm glad I did. I have no complaints. In the words of Arnold, "I'll be back."

After finding out that our first restaurant choice for dinner was closed for the day, we decided to have dinner at the Mountain Edge Grill located on the second level of Baskins Square. The atmosphere inside has the feel of a rustic ski lodge with a fireplace and decorated with mounted game heads, ski trail maps, photos, and ski gear from various ski areas around the country. I saw some trail maps from my neck of the woods of NH including Wildcat, Bretton Woods, and Tenney Mtn. The chair in the front lobby is made of old Elan skis and there are life size stuffed bears too. The TVs in the main dining room show extreme downhill skiing and mountain biking stunts played in a loop. The ski movie reminded me of the Warren Miller movies I see each year. The menu offerings include sandwiches, half pound burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, fries, salads, soup, sides, and Pepsi fountain drinks. A kids menu (Bunny Slope) menu is also offered. The prices are fair, items priced under $11. My friend ordered a Diet Pepsi ($2.20) and the American Classic burger ($7.49) and substituted the fries for a side salad ($1.99 more). The half pound burger was pretty big and pretty good, topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion. The side salad had chopped/shredded lettuce, peppers, onions, shredded cheese, and dressing. I ordered an ice water and started out with a crock of Signature Soup ($5.59) which was a White Chicken Chili with tortilla chips and cheese on the side. The soup was a feel good winter soup, which was served very hot, mostly chicken broth with white meat chicken and beans, not spicy at all. For dinner, I had the Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich Platter ($9.19) served with fries, dill pickle chips, and slaw. The sandwich was good which had dense shredded pork mixed with a sweet BBQ sauce served on a big soft toasted bun. The fries were fried golden and crispy, but on the salty side. The shredded cole slaw was creamy and sweet. The service was decent for the most part. All of the food was brought out at the same time. However, before we were about to eat our food, we realized they forgot the utensils and napkins at our table and we had to ask for some. The check for 2 people came out to just under $30 with tax and before tip.

We recently ate here and loved my burger (burger topped with hot dog and chili). Loved their fries. The other people dining with me enjoyed their meals as well. Only complaint was the service was a little slow (think we had a new waitress).

My boyfriend and I went on a long weekend vacation to Gatlinburg this weekend, we had read great reviews about this place and decided to try it. The location was great and the staff was really friendly, however the atmosphere was like something you would find in an 90's movie. The major downfall of this place was the food. My boyfriend got a chilli cheese burger, the burger itself was dry and "artificial tasting", there was very little cheese, and the chili was canned. As for me I got a white water#3 and it sounded really good; it was packaged lunch meat Turkey, with hard provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and ranch (the veggies were fresh and good ) oh, and it was on a plan and super hard/stale pice of wheat bread. Over all this was a poor experience for us, and it was most definitely not worth the $38 we paid.

Service that was neither fast or friendly. Quality lacking in every aspect. This was the worst dinning experience I've had the displeasure of experiencing. Avoid like the plague!

The place we planned on eating at was closed so one of the local workers recommended this place. Just wanted a light lunch so we went across the street to try it out. Decor is that of a rustic ski lodge. They do have tv's if you want that. The only other people in there was a family so we can't say what it's like when they're busy. The kids were very loud so we asked to be moved to the patio which they happily and very quickly did. Looks like the patio has removable doors so it's open during the summer. Great view of the strip to people watch while you're eating. Menu is a basic american fare. Burgers, sandwiches, chix fingers, etc.... Basically what you'd get at a cookie cutter chain place like Chili's,TGI Friday's, etc... I had the white chicken chili which they said was spicy and half a chicken salad sandwich. The chili was not spicy at all but was pretty good. Don't remember what my wife had besides a baked potato but it was big and very good. The food isn't amazing but it is exactly what you figure you'll get. Decent food at a decent price and we had a nice view and a leisurely late lunch. The wait staff was very nice, attentive and friendly. Total was right at $25 with tax and tip. We'd go back again.

Ate there last night with a group of 5 women. Loved the patio. Food and service was good. Would visit again when returning.

We stumbled on this restaurant looking for a descent affordable lunch. I wish we had continued to walk to Hard Rock Cafe considering what our food cost. The decor is a mix of sports lodge/mountain themed. It reminded me of walking into a thrift store. I am frequent thrift store shopper so have nothing against it. Restaurant had a musky damp smell. We are big on keeping our drinks filled and both my daughter and husband ran out and had to wait for more. The food itself probably I rate a 3. It was average. I had the club which was really big, and my husband had the chili burger which was also more than enough food. What killed it for us was the gnats. EVERYWHERE. We couldn't take a bite without our food being swarmed by it. Its pretty uncomfortable trying to eat and swat bugs out of your mouth. I watched several other patrons experience the same thing. Our bill was 50 for a family of four which to me is overpriced. Server was nice but it was forced and not sincere.

Decided to try this place for lunch. Glad I did. I had the Reuben sandwich and it was great. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was the fact that they did not serve alcohol. A nice cold beer would have gone great with the Reuben. Even stil, this was a great choice for lunch!

After reading a review on Yelp about this place, we decided to check it out. It was a great choice for lunch. I ordered the Mountain Leconte sandwich. It was very good, however the honey mustard sauce was too sweet for me. The rest of my party ordered cheeseburgers. They were huge! The prices were reasonable, food tasted good, and had a cozy atmosphere. I would definitely eat here again!

Pass this place up. The service is slow. The food is mediocre. The kids meals are expensive which made it difficult ordering for my son. What's worse is when we finally got to eat, there was an abundance of small flys at our table...and we were inside. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars was because of my wife's portion size with the turkey sandwich. My chili burger was bland and my kids wouldn't finish their plates. Unless your are going to die in the next 30 seconds if you don't eat, find somewhere else.

Ate at this place in September twice , and came back in December . Service is consistent and friendly . Food is always good . I think my fiancé and I can say we will eat there any trip to gatlinburg . Review is based on at least 4 visits and believe it gives better perspective . The reason for not doing 5 stars was bathroom .... Needs help there .

After reading some reviews on yelp my girlfriend and I decided to give this restaurant a try and we were sadly disappointed when we both ordered the BBQ pork sandwich platter which seems to have more fries than anything. If you come here stay away from the BBQ as my girlfriend and I were grossed out by this. The service is very quick and they are very nice here which is a plus however we came for good food not good service. We should have left when we entered and there was only one other couple in the restaurant.

This place has a ski mountain theme to it on the inside & it sits on the second story of some stores on the Parkway so you need to kind of look for it. My daughter and I stopped here because we were in the mood for a light meal. It was a Saturday night and we were seated immediately. The service was real fast, friendly, & funny. The food was served faster than I expected & the waitress brought me everything I needed without even being asked. My daughter ordered a small cheese pizza & it cost 7.59 & she said it was very good. I ordered a burger & fries & it cost 8.89. It was delicious & one of the best burgers I've eaten, cooked perfectly! I got full & it was at an average cost. They have a full menu with burgers, hot dogs, shrimp, pizza, & more and a kids menu. I highly recommend this place. In spite of many of the negative reviews I thoroughly enjoyed it! My serve was very awesome & friendly!

We were quite disappointed with this place. Charming decor, but the uninspired menu should have given us a big heads up. The burgers were bland, potato hard, and the service was pretty awful; surprising considering there were only 2-3 tables in the place at 6 pm in peak season. We were kicking ourselves for not going down to the Cherokee Grill, just a few blocks away.

We stopped at this Mountain/Outdoorsy themed place mostly because of the location (near The Village and the The Aquarium). We got in on a Saturday night without really having to wait. The food was decent overall - I thought my burger was very good. We sat on the upper floor and had it to ourselves. The service was good as they even split up the meal our kids shared for us.

This place was not very good. My wife, brother, brother's girlfriend and I all ate here. It was not very full on a Saturday for lunch. The staff was nice. There was no music playing at all and the TV's were on with no sound. It was a very odd ambiance. The food was very plain and mostly seemed frozen with not much flavor. The price was reasonable but there are better places in Gatlinburg to spend your vacation money.

Great Reuben. Polite staff. Good location. Good lunch. And they take credit cards (shouldn't be worth mentioning but many in this area don't).

Doesn't serve beer and only serves burgers well done, aka frozen patties!

We ate there for lunch and the food was good and fairly priced. They seemed a little understaffed so the service was fair. Over all good experience and good place for lunch.

I tried to plan out our trip (business purpose only) to Gatlinburg using reviews from yelp. This place only had a few reviews, but they were all positive. So we stopped by for a quick lunch. It is upstairs in a mall area, accessed by an outside stairway. The place looks pretty shabby, but hey--we're just here for a bite or two. My husband ordered one of the little personal pizzas. The crust appeared to be the some kind perhaps from a can? I don't know, but it looked to me like biscuit dough. This was the one that is the "deluxe" version--not sure what they call it. One thing that stood out was the canned mushrooms. He said it was just gross. I had a small baked potato (anybody know what the "spread" is that comes in little plastic cups? That's what was provided in lieu of butter. ) The chicken chili which I also had was probably the tastiest thing they had. Not bad. But definitely place on your avoid list. Oh if you do have the misfortune to go there, be sure to write your name on the chalkboard just inside the door. There was no sign indicating to do so--after we noticed others being seated before us we realized you are supposed to sign in first.

Service was slow even though the place was half empty. Restrooms were inadequate (one seater for the ladies) resulting in a line of women waiting to go that was edging into the seating area. The menu advertised chicken chili and a soup of the day, but the server told us the restaurant only ever served the chili. But they were out of the chili. My baked potato was tiny, but came with enough toppings for three that size. And one half of the potato was hard as a rock. How hard is it to bake a potato correctly? My husband liked his shrimp. I felt like the meal was overpriced for what we got.

Stopped by for quick lunch before heading to the aquarium. I orders Baskins Square and husband ordered a Philly sandwich with coleslaw. Both sandwiches tasted fresh and delicious. Service was bit slow but there seemed to be only one guy who was the host, server, and the cashier. He was very friendly. Nice quite delicious food on busy street filled with chain restaurants and pancake houses.
