We spent 3 nights here for our honeymoon in the Hearts of Love room. Excellent location just outside of the commotion of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Breakfast was great value and delicious every morning. Turndown service with homemade desserts was a special enjoyable touch. Staff was extremely accommodating to vegan diet needs. Free large DVD selection to choose from. 24 hour candy bar and coffee access! The jacuzzi tub in our room was excellent and much appreciated after our day hikes. Customer service was generally good. Debbie (sp?) was superb!! Only con was housekeeping. We ran out of toilet paper and tissues which were not replenished. We look forward to staying here again and recommending it to our friends for sure! Excellent prices!!

Love, love, LOVE this place! My boyfriend and I stayed four nights here and we will definitely be back! Every morning, breakfast was amazing and the service was great! The staff was always in a great mood and happy to be there. Everything was clean! We stayed in the Thyme suite which had a private deck area and a jacuzzi tub, we loved this! We have never stayed at a B&B before but 8 Gables sure has set a high standard! The location of the Inn was only 7 minutes outside of Downtown Gatlinburg which for us was perfect; away from the busy streets and tucked away. There also is a trolley that takes you into town- USE IT! Everywhere you go you have to pay parking. Overall Eight Gables made our vacation getaway in Gatlinburg that much better!

This was our first B&B experience -- and if other B&Bs are like gorgeous 8 Gables, it definitely won't be our last! We loved every minute of our time. The owners pay extraordinary attention to detail, down to fresh flowers in the sweet, comfy, ultra private luxurious room. If you're looking for a place that is pretty much the opposite of the hustle bustle of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, this place is sheer relaxation in cozy comfort where hot or cold beverages are available 24/7 to enjoy while sitting by the grand fireplace. The *only* extra detail that might be good would be a fridge in the room. However, guests have access to a fridge in the common area - stocked with soda!- so if you happen to have restaurant leftovers you can use that. I have very discriminating taste. My hubby & I have stayed at the Four Seasons on Hawaii, Manele Bay Resort on Lanaii, Ritz Carltons, etc. When I saw 8 Gables had earned AAA's 4 Diamond award I knew we'd be in a great place. It wasn't until we arrived that I learned they earned that coveted award along with many others EVERY YEAR since they opened. Yep. It's that good. Their website is nice, but I'm not sure it's possible to do the place justice. If you're looking for a romantic getaway with delicious dessert & fabulous breakfast all included, 8 Gables is it.

We had our wedding at Chapel at the Park and had our reception at Eight Gables. It was absolutely perfect. They took care of everything for us. The Inn is in a perfect quiet location right outside of Gatlinburg. Lee and his entire staff did a perfect job of taking care of everything down to the smallest of details. We look forward to returning for another visit.

Never has an Inn paid more attention to detail and comfortable luxury than the Eight Gables. From the fresh flowers in every room to the mountain of pillows piled sky high on the enormous king bed, I fell more deeply in love with each new detail I found. The waterfall and gorgeous fountain greeted us when we pulled up to the wrap around porch complete with hammocks and swings. Even the cat matched the porch furniture upholstery. Fluffy towels and french milled soaps, refrigerator filled with sodas and water, snacks available at all times; all of this made us feel comfortable and pampered. The room was inviting and tastefully decortated in the style indicated by the name - our room was the Country Suite. It was huge with valuted ceilings, jacuzzi tub, tvs with DVD players and comfy couches. The bed was so inviting and literally stuffed with down comforters and pillows. I had a great night sleep. The only thing that woke me was the smell of breakfast wafting up the stairs and fresh coffee brewing. It was, of course, excellent.

I can not write enough good things about Eight Gables Inn. The most wonderful experience of our entire vacation. Eight Gables is under new management, so if you have stayed in the past, I assure you that it will be a different experience now. Our host, General Manager Lynn Dahl went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. From the time that we booked the room up to the time we checked out, Lynn made us feel like family and Eight Gables was our home. Our first trip to Gatlinburg, and we can not wait to get back. Our room was spacious, affordable and comfortable. Everything that we would need and more. It even came with the most amazing cake! What a treat after 10 hours of driving. The jacuzzi was the best after a long day sightseeing. The main house has fresh brewed coffee, teas and even a candy bar. A candy bar! There is also a large fireplace, comfy sofas and television if you would like to relax with your coffee indoors. Or, you could walk out to the beautiful, wrap around porch and sit in a rocking chair or lay back in a hammock while listening to the sound of the nearby waterfall. The best part. Breakfast. Everything is so fresh and cooked to order. The dining room is just the most comfortable place that you could imagine. Not too big, not too small, but just right. I could go on all day. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just a really comfortable place, this is it. Lynn Dahl will do everything to make your stay the best ever. Did I mention that we drove all the way from New Orleans to stay here? We will be doing it again, real soon.

My husband and I spent our 40th wedding anniversary at this delightful inn. It was the perfect setting and exactly what we were looking for in a quiet and relaxing getaway. We will return.

This place is amazing! The room is very clean with a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. I love the philosophy brand amenities. The breakfast was delicious, but my favorite has to be the in-room dessert!! Highly highly recommend this B&B!!

My significant other and I stayed here for one night around Christmas as a little getaway and really enjoyed it. This was both of our first experience with a bed and breakfast/inn type of accommodations and we would most certainly return. The location was great, close to the shopping and dining in Gatlinburg, yet removed enough to be tranquil. The service was also excellent with turn down/dessert service, and Lynn Dahl was very helpful upon check in as she assisted us with finding a place that was open and delicious for dinner that night. Our room was very nice and liked using the fireplace in the evening. I was pleased with the decor and I do think that they should update their website with new pictures as the rooms seem to have been repainted and redecorated in a much more modern and attractive way than currently shown that would appeal more to younger couples. The only slight disappointment for me was breakfast, because I had heard read such positive reviews my expectations for it were very high. I was slightly disappointed with it, yet cannot complain because it was still tasty and filling. If you are considering this inn for your stay in Gatlinburg, I would not hesitate as it is clean, relaxing, and romantic (no kids under 13!!), with some nice extras like the tea/candy bar and DVD library. Much better than the chain motels/hotels in the area.

I was in search of a possible B&B wedding venue in Gatlinburg while I was home for the holidays. I'm originally from Knoxville, right outside of Gatlinburg, and wanted to do a small wedding in the mountains. Guy, that's the name of the employee working at the time, had scheduled to give me a quick tour a few days prior. Upon entering the door, his overall attitude towards me was quite rude. For example, I took a photo of the staircase as I walked in and his first words to me were, "Did I tell you that you could take photos in here?" I apologized and followed him to his desk. He then asked if I was Betty (I had told him on the phone my mother Betty would be coming with me; however, she didn't make it because she wasn't feeling well). I was with a friend, as I motioned to my Maid of Honor. He then proceeded to ask me where my mother was and why she wasn't there. I am a 30 year old woman and felt this was pretty degrading. I may look young, but I've been supporting myself for quite some time now. He did ask how my holidays were. I told him great and asked about his. He said they were horrible. Horrible. Who says that and works in customer service? Guy went on to be overly condescending as we discussed packages. The package was super cheap, maybe 1-2 thousand dollars. When I asked if I could change a few things (i.e. bring my own bouquet), he told me Eight Gables wasn't the place for me. Note, I wasn't trying to cut my bill short. I was willing to pay the full package fees. I just wanted a few of my own touches. Guy was right though. Eight Gables wasn't the place for me. I went on to find two places that exceeded my expectations, with much better customer service. Maybe I caught Guy on a very bad day, but I doubt it. I say Eight Gables isn't worth your time.
