This is not a bad restaurant, just a confusing one. We arrived and were seated with great courtesy. The decor is subdued and I was surprised when Ray Charles' "Hit the Road Jack" came somewhat loudly over the sound system. I really really like this song but not when out with friends for a nice dinner. Since I typically am annoyed by reviewers that praise the food but lament the decor, you can imagine my dismay when the food arrived perfectly prepared and presented in a very pleasing manner. Oh horror of horrors, the enemy is me. Anyway, the three steaks were excellent and my hamburger steak (yes, I know) was very good. While the salad bar was very pedestrian (and overpriced at $8.00) for my taste, my real complaint was again on the aesthetics as it was right in the middle of the small dining room. My last picky complaint (and suggestion to the very hospitable folks there) would be to replace the mason jar glasses with real glassware. OK, all snarkiness (is that a word?), I would recommend this place as a moderately expensive place to eat where you get excellent main dishes with very modest surroundings. As I said, I left very confused and mad at myself for being so.

Deliscious place to eat. We love the salad bar and the brisket sandwich is awesome!! The only thing negative is about the place is the owner. We go there just about every weekend and not one time has the owner said one thing to us. She wanders the dining room every time we are there talking to others but not once has she asked us how our meal was. Overall the meals are wonderful and the rest of the staff are very friendly. We will still dine there because we love the food.

bean and ham soup did not look like the above pic. mine was barely warm . looked like they added water to make it stretch. Campbells has better soup than what this tasted like. don't recommend it. Salad bar could offer a better meat choice than cold bacon.

Great idea, but not quite all the way there. First, it's a big no-no to sell 2 whole pies to a walk in customer, as we loudly heard the manager/owner reprimand the staff right behind us. Take up issues with your staff where customers can't hear. The main point is the food, and it was hit and miss. We started with the spinach artichoke dip with naan. It did seem to take awhile to get an appetizer and we were the only guests in the dining room. I'd give it a 4. Hubby ordered a turkey club with ham and white bean soup. Just eh. The bread looked like a hamburger bun and the cheese was greasy. His favorite part was the side honey roll. I had the pimento cheese on the same hamburger wanna-be bun. I should know better than to order pimento cheese from anyone but Itty Bitty in Hendersonville. Not much flavor, even though the menu boasted "fire roasted pimentos". I barely ate half. The savior was the carrot tomato bisque, delicious. I wish I'd had two large bowls of that instead. Service was friendly and attentive, despite the brow beating at the start of the meal. Just not cool.

Right off the square, great local grown food, chicken stack was great and flavorful. Worth the drive.

Went here for a business lunch with 6 others yesterday and it was nothing special. First off, the floors were nasty, they were so dirty they were black with stains. The decor was dated and honestly took away from the experience. I ordered the turkey club with home fries, it was alright, worth $7 dollars I guess but nothing great. My co worker ordered the baked potato bar and had to wait 20 mins for his potato, once he received it the "bar" gave him 3 options to dress his potato with. Others at the table ordered the salad bar and that looked decent enough but with the decor and buffet display for the bar made me genuinely feel like I was at a hospital. Service was terrible and slow. You really had to fend for yourself here. Good luck!

I can only review a few things, but what I've had is always great. I love their salad bar, it's not huge but everything is really fresh and lots of healthy options. The tomato soup is also delicious!

I want so bad to give this place 4 stars, and I bet on our next visit it will be 4+. First the good stuff, the food was excellent. I had Grouper, perfect, also with great reviews of the Salmon and Brisket, the Grilled Parm was good as well. Another plus, our server, Sam was very good. The overall service was great. Negatives, they could not serve wine, which was almost a deal killer but Sam offered for us to go to a wine store nearby and there is no corking fee, so that worked out. They were out of a few menu items, but again, we were overall very happy and will definitely go back soon.

Locally owned by 2 very talented chefs who source the ingredients locally. The menu changes accordingly but is always delicious and worth a visit.

Amazing food. Good selection and home made! Great place for a date or family night in gallatin. We have eaten inside and outside on the patio. The desserts sell out and so do some of the specials. Excellent chicken heirloom tomato lasagna.

The food and service was very good. I saw a review saying it was horrible service and food. They didn't explain what there problem was. All the food looked great and my sandwich was great. You order and pay before you sit down. Some might be little irritated by the woman who was taking the orders since she was a little chatty. It looked like a lot were return customers. This was my first time here I enjoyed chatting with her while we ordered. She did get distracted and handed me my number and said thank you. I walked away and she came out in a few minutes and said she forgot to have me pay. LOL. I will be back!

I called today to place a to-go order, but I was placed on hold and five minutes later, no one had bothered to pick up. Guess my business wasn't that important.

We were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked the Greyfeather. We went because I had read about the green restaurant certification, which I was excited about. The building doesn't look like much, but the food was superb! We went for dinner on a Saturday night and had white bean soup and the steak, both were delicious! The pie...oh my gosh, the pie! I am in love. It is hard to find good pie anymore and this was fantastic...you cannot go wrong with the chocolate or coconut creme! Keep it up, Greyfeather!

I went for lunch last week and while I can't give it five stars because the line was quite long. Grayfeather had the absolute BEST house salad dressing to ever pass my lips! I will be back again and again. So glad to have this type of quality food in Gallatin!

I was looking forward to visiting this quaint locale as it had been recommended by friends. Cute place, friendly staff, interesting menu. I ordered the trio of salads: chicken salad, pimiento cheese, and tuna salad. I was very disappointed. Restaurant uses cheap ingredients: Tuna was not albacore; pimiento cheese was unflavorful, and chicken salad was mostly dark meat. As I have heard other menu items are well-liked, perhaps I made a bad choice, but for a $10 lunch, I expect higher quality ingredients.

Great place. I'd say this is the best restaurant in Gallatin. It's unique and it's in a older building. My wife and I had the salad bar and we each got a sandwich. I had a great turkey club with avocado. My wife had a grilled Chicken. The herb potatos and the french fries were good too. The service was friendly and the place was busy. I will absolutely go back.

This is the second time I've eaten here. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised the first time so we came back tonight. My husband had the Amber Jack steak and I had the pork chops, delicious!! The staff seems new (or maybe a little inexperienced) but very, very nice, eager to please! The food is fresh and delicious! The inside of the restaurant is plain and not interesting, but I was there for a great meal not the walls. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the slightly longer then average wait but the great food makes up for it. Will definitely be back!

We ate here today for the first time and it was absolutely wonderful! Best thing about it is that it's organic food. We came in right when they opened at 5pm and got our food in a very timely manner. The place looks small from the outside but it's a lot bigger on the inside with three different dining areas (one is outside) and a salad bar. I had the tortilla salad and fruit tea with blackberry cobbler for dessert. The salad was fresh and delicious with avocado, tomato, red onion, cilantro, jack cheese, jalapeno's, sour cream & tortilla strips on romaine w/ chipotle ranch. I would have never thought to put sour cream on a salad but it worked so well. I couldn't really taste the tea in my fruit tea but it was still a very tasty fruit drink. And the cobbler topped with ice cream was perfect. It didn't taste like it was heavily loaded with sugar like most desserts you get from chain restaurants. I will definitely go again and recommend this place to friends and family!

Fine quality food, served in deli fashion. Food is local sourced and well prepared. Family of six and we all liked everything. (hot sandwiches) Will be back to try more.

It is great to have a quality locally owned restaurant in Gallatin. The owners (formerly of Greenberry's) are back with a stylish deli style restaurant to tickle your taste buds. The food offering is wide, and worth your time to check it out. Fresh local ingredients in wonderful combinations appear in all of their dishes.
