This use to be a wonderful place called "Stamp's Stars and Stripes". The new owner bought it, hired a new cook, and this charming diner style gem in Gallatin went to hell in a hand basket. I have gone there three times trying to make it work because I really love the small town vib here... But the owner continues to employ anyone willing to hold a spatula. And what's worse, he doesn't check "food quality" before the customer gets it. The last two times we've gone there our food was ice cold. And when I say ice cold, I mean ICE cold. I don't know how you can screw up Spaghetti and Meatballs, but they did it. Meatballs and meat sauce were frozen in the middle. Really folks? REALLY? The time before I ordered open faced roast beef sandwich. The meat and gravy were Luke warm at best, and the bread underneath was half frozen. I politely voiced my opinion several times to the owner - because if he doesn't know, he can't fix it. Well after several times of this, it's obvious that he just doesn't care. I hate it, because the waitresses are really great girls who deserve to make a living. I will never go back to this place as long as this owner is at the helm. Seems like a nice enough guy... Just has no passion for his work. Doesn't care. That's a very very bad example to set for your staff. This place will get bad food safety scores if that's how he steers the ship. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME EATING HERE. THE FOOD IS COLD, ALMOST EVERY TIME. AND THE OWNER COULD CARE LESS.

For what this little diner is, in the location it is, this place is a five star for me. There aren't a ton of options for lunch in Gallatin, unless you like Mexican food or chain restaurants, so I am partial to this Ma & Pop shop. Old Glory is definitely a quaint hometown diner with good food, friendly service and low prices. Their menu is pretty extensive and they have different hot and cold specials everyday, including a meat and three option. I usually opt for a sandwich (you can't go wrong with a Club) and side salad, and a shared fried appetizer. Thumbs up for having fried mushrooms on the menu! They also have breakfast options, and all-you-can-eat catfish Fridays for $9.99. We are usually in and out in 35 minutes. Don't let the outer appearances of this greasy spoon fool you, it is alive and well on the inside!

Very good breakfast and the cheeseburgers are awesome. People are nice and the chess pie is off the chain....

Classic local greasy diner. (although the counter is gone.) Good food and plenty of it. great prices. A mishmash of tables let you seat almost any size group. However during busy periods you will need to split up. Staff is friendly and quick. We will be back to try the pie.

I love their breakfast here. Although the service is not always the best/friendliest.... the food always taste good. (I've only been here for breakfast btw)

Good home cooking. Service was good. My parents come here frequently for the catfish. Only down side is the small seating area but not bad if you catch it when not busy.

This is the same location as Stars and Stripes that closed late in 2011. Great home cooking with daily specials and waitress that call you Honey. Small town dinner at it's best.
