Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Fairly disappointing. All around. I'm not a huge fan of places that spend more time and attention trying to attract hipsters than working I their overpriced, small portioned fare. Also, no refills on drinks?! Almost 3 bucks for a sweet tea that you don't refill? Yeah, okay... Not coming back here.

I've eaten Mediterranean food all over this country. This place was a let down. For the price I normally pay for a gyro, fries, with salad... instead I get a bowl of balsamic vinegar (so overpowering, I couldn't taste the tomato and cucumber), the lamb gyro (meat was perfect but the tsaziki sauce was odd and underwhelming), and plain salted potato chips. We've had worse, but still underwhelming overall. I wouldn't take a client there. But the atmosphere is great, the staff is great, and the prices aren't terrible. They just need to tone down the vinegar and learn to make sauces properly.

The experience here is decent. The staff is competent and professional and the place is often packed at lunch. The food could use improvement (lamb is overcooked sometimes), but it's always edible. Parking is ok, but that strip can get crazy busy too. There's a little bit of outside seating which is nice and there's often staff working the floor to get refills, keep things bused, etc.

This was my first visit to the chain. The food was delicious. Had the hummus and tazaki's dip. My lamb platter was amazing and instead of rice I had grilled veggies for an extra charge. Overall it was a good experience.

This is the best Greek restaurant in the Cool Springs area. Although it is part of an rapidly growing chain started by a Greek couple in Birmingham, it is quite good. My favorite is the chicken basil pesto gyro. When my parents come to visit from their small own in Georgia, they ask to come here. Although this place is great, it plays second fiddle to the Blue Fig in Lenox Village, which is my favorite Mediterranean in all of the Nashville area. But this is a great option locally for us.

Consistently well prepared food at reasonable prices and friendly staff. Half priced wine by the bottle or glass on Wednesdays. Free wifi; password is 4customers.

This is SERIOUSLY our favorite place to eat in Franklin. We have been here and had several different meals from their menu and have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. So far we haven't found anything on the menu that was anything less than a delight. The only single issue that we have with Taziki's is the music. It's like some kind of suicidal hippie mix.

Not in love. I really enjoy greek food but I thought this place was lacking. My lamb gyro was really dry. It almost tasted "fake." Service was pretty good and I like how they walked around and got refills and asked if you need anything. I'd say if you want a really good gyro try Greek Cafe by The Nail Bar or make a trip to Cafe Rakka in Hendersonville (authentic).

This is my second time at Tazikis. It's a good restaurant, fast service as well as a casual sir down diner. They have decent Mediterranean Food ( not as good as Zoes...IMO) I had the Grilled Chicken Gyro with the Basmati Rice. The Gyro was really good with their Tazikis Sauce but the Basmati Rice left something to be desired. It is a nice place to grab a quick yet healthier lunch. I would definitely recommend it to others, but if a Zoes (best Mediterranean Food in Middle TN IMO) was built right next to it I wouldn't go back.

I ordered takeout last Sunday evening. I had the Caesar salad with grilled lamb. My meal was ready when I arrived and paying for was simple at the dedicated take out line. The salad was poorly prepared. The Romain was wilted and appeared to be from the bottom of the salad bowl. The lamb was at best warm. It was also over done. If you are looking for a good Greek meal, this is not the place for you to come.

The food at Taziki's is below average. It is pricey for what you get too. My last order was the Grilled Chicken Breast plate categorized on the menu under what they call "Taziki's Feast". This meal is the furthest thing from a "feast". I got four extremely thin strips of chicken a tiny cup of rice and a salad that look like it was thrown into the to go container. I would be embarrassed to sell this to people. My wife order the same thing, but with roasted potatoes. The potatoes tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. They were horrible. I order a side of soft pita bread, which was $1 extra. The pita beard was barely the size of a Dorito chip. Complete joke. I'll never order food from Taziki's again.

I offer catering from here for work events on occasion and they do great work there. My clients are always pleased with the hickey roll ups! However for the average diner I feel the food is a bit dull and pricey. My friend and I had the pimento cheese, and I got to say it's pretty good.

Second time here. Had the herb pork chop feast with potatoes both times. Consistent quality each time. Excellent taste. The sauce they provide it's wonderful and savory. Great job.

Amazing food. best veggie gyro i have tasted in nashville.. brilliant food and good ambience.. definitely love this place.
(4)Chris J.
It is not anywhere near the best Mediterranean I have eaten - but it was good. And the friendly staff helped push it to 4 stars. A bunch of us stopped here and we all enjoyed our meals. Not a traditional sit down / table service, you order from a counter and they bring you your food. But much, much better than fast food. The lamb gyros are good. Others tried the salads and a couple deserts and enjoyed them all.
(4)Linda D.
Tazikis always goes out of their way to please. The food is of good quality and always fresh. Great authentic flavors with attention to the details. Wine is available and the outdoor patio is great option in good weather.

Here is my review for the Taziki's in Green Hills. The spot in Cool Springs is very similar, but you won't have the same probability to see a celebrity here. However, it is the same excellent restaurant: I really like Taziki's! They gave a nice face-lift to an old, dark sushi restaurant that occupied that spot. The food is very good and I usually stop by at least once every two weeks. This is obviously a Mediterranean style restaurant, but the food is much better than most places serving this style of cuisine. Their normal dishes are very good--gyros, salads, and humus. Their baklava is excellent! However, my recommendation would be to go with the special of the day. It's always very good and I love their pasta salad. It rotates each day, but is consistent week by week if you find a special that you like. This spot also gives you a reasonable chance of seeing a celebrity. Kirk Herbstreit, Matt Hasselbeck, and Kenny Chesney are all on my celebrity sightings list for Taziki's. The best part about seeing a celebrity in Nashville is that we leave them alone and let them eat in peace. I think that's pretty cool. I've always gone with a take-out order here, but they do serve wine and beer. The food is quite good and the wait is usually reasonable, even during normal lunch hours. This is an excellent restaurant for Mediterranean food and I'll continue to frequent Taziki's.

Taziki's is a walk through order, self seating, Mediterranean cafe, with lots of wine options. The pricing was reasonable at around $9 per plate and the portions are hefty. I like the atmosphere and the service was friendly but the food was just okay. Even the chicken on my plate and the chicken on my husband's plate was rather inconsistent so I can imagine it is a hit or miss type of place. I ordered the chicken plate which came with a large grilled chicken breast, a sauce, rice, and a salad. My husband ordered the pasts salad which was literally pasta mixed with lettuce and chicken. If I had to order again I would have selected my husband's dish as it definitely had more flavor. We sat inside but they also have a cute little patio with soft lighting that looked like an excellent place for a glass of wine and a chat.

This greek restaurant has an all latino staff. They keep calling the dolmades "dolmalies" and they are too thick and not rolled tight. The pita bread is crispy like nacho chips. It is more like eating at a Mexican restaurant and less like a Greek restaurant.
(2)Ryan P.
Very enjoyable food and fast service. I can have a great meal on my lunch break and not break the bank doing it.
(5)Chris H.
Good lunch spot for a Greek salad with some interesting healthier choices like turkey gyros. The location helps a lot, but the price is fair and did quality is much higher than comparable faster lunch options in cool springs. Decent family packs for dinner that are inexpensive and feed 3-4 easily.

I love greek food and thought this was a cute place and was excited to see it open....well the food is not authentic and not good...I went once and that was enough--

Bestie and I had dinner here tonight, and OMG... we were both very pleasantly surprised. I noticed when this place opened up and have driven past so many times meaning to stop in, and now I'm mad at myself having patronized the other Greek places nearby when I could have been coming here. I had the lamb gyro - delicious. This is not a processed, shaved lamb - it is thick juicy chunks and so, so much better than what I'm used to. My side was the tomato-cucumber salad - delicious. Flavorful, not overpowering, nice feta to vegetable ratio, awesome. This comes with chips, I skipped those. Really? Mine was around $13-14 for the entree and hummus app. Bestie had the beef tenderloin feast - yummy. She knows I'm a spice wimp, and she warned that I wouldn't eat this one because the beef was peppery hot. She said as she relayed her lips were burning, but she continued eating anyway. She opted for the roasted potatoes side, which she said also delish, just lightly seasoned with herbs and perfectly roasted. I think her order was like $15, and as she relayed, calling it a "feast" might be a bit of a stretch, but 'twas plenty and really good. I ordered a side of hummus, that wasn't my thing. It's very lemon-y and garlic-y - which is not me at all, so I'll be skipping that in the future. Bestie has some baklava that she said was great. And this is CUTE. Cute tables and chairs, interesting blown up canvases of photos taken in the Mediterranean (or so it seemed), cute pendant lights, and a wine list. I'm so glad I can now check off Taziki's as a bookmark on my yelp profile and plan on many more check-ins to come.

I have been going to this restaurant for over a year and have consistently loved the food. The grilled chicken feast is a healthy meal that taste delicious. The lemon chicken soup is also very good. It is packed with lots of chicken and rice.
(5)Tony C.
Love this place for lunch - great food, and healthy too! The Original Egg and Olive sandwich is fantastic - especially with the tomato-cucumber salad. Nice outdoor seating area too. Oh - and the baklava is fantastic! Definitely recommend this place. I'm looking forward to trying it for dinner sometime too.
(5)Carolyn S.
Very disappointing! I will not be back. It was edible, at best. The chips were stale, even the baked pita chips, the hummus was thick with lemon, the gyro lamb sandwich was rich with dill, and kind of tasted more like venison than lamb. The basmati rice tasted like white rice with a bad after-taste. I was not impressed, it was too expensive for such as poor experience.

What a wonderful little spot on Mallory Lane, just behind the Whole Foods. The food is very fresh and healthy - I love their salads and the meat is always juicy and grilled to perfection. I am also a big fan of their pork sandwich when I am feeling a little bit like splurging - that tomato chutney aoili is to die for! If you're getting a side - highly recommend going with the tomato cucumber salad. Can't go wrong there. I think another review said this but I was a bit unsure about "Mediterranean" but this food is so fresh and healthy - it's traditional wraps, salads, etc with a flash of Mediterranean flare and I thought that really was a nice touch. I have become a regular here and am so glad they moved into this location!

Fantastic mediteranean food! They have daily lunch specials, which are always great from the Pork Loin sandwich to the tilapia tacos. Served with a healthy side (fresh fruit, pasta salad, etc.) Definately recommend
(5)Michael D.
Solid, hand-made Mediterranean food with a solid presentation. Great for a good bite to eat with the family. Higher quality food for a "chain".

I'm a meat an potatoes kind of guy. Truly I am an American foodie with American taste...well, throw in a lot of Mexican and Asian as the exception - but those are pretty much "American" these days. But I was craving something a little different and had noticed a new restaurant that always seemed to have a good crowd, which is always a good sign. So I headed over to Taziki's to try it out. Before arriving I knew I wanted to try the Grilled Chicken Gyro, so I order it and a side of the rice. As I waited in line, I could see the chefs preparing the food, and immediately began salivating at all of the freshly prepared options. I started second guessing what I was going to order - everything I saw coming off the grill and the food prep area looked so yummy! I placed my order, found a seat and my food followed impressively fast (knowing they prepared it all by the order). They Gyro looked amazing, the rice looked incredible... but honestly, the chips that came with it seemed very out of place. But maybe that's just me? The chicken, the flavor, the freshness, the deliciousness mixed well together. I loved my choice for lunch. I knew immediately that I would be back. The Taziki sauce on the gyro was superb! The service was friendly and the staff came over a couple of times to make sure all was well with my food and visit. My only complaint... I guess it's really not a complaint... but the dessert was displayed on the counter, displayed in to-go containers to be seen and picked up as you waited in line to place your order. This just seemed kind of out of place and really seemed to "cheapen" the offering. On the menu "Dark Chocolate Cake" and "Baklava" sounded amazing. But seeing it in the plastic containers just took away from the appeal to me. But I don't want to end on a negative, because my experience was very positive, very yummy and I'll definitely be back. I was told the Chicken Basil-Pesto Gyro is outstanding, so I'm going to try that next time. You definitely want to try this place.

Hummus appetizer summed up my meal. The homemade pita chips...blah. The hummus.. Blah. Now for the ACTUAL Lamb meat gyro, that was really really good. So if you are looking for something that's more the lamb/beef cooked on a rack thing then this isn't your place.

My wife was excited about this place when they catered their office. I've only done take out from there twice and been underwhelmed both times. The first time I tried the lamb gyro as I love lamb and my wife doesn't. When I order a gyro I expect the pita to be overflowing with meat, however what I had arrived rolled up like a burrito! Tasted fine... but I was hungry the rest of the night. Last night we also did takeout. After the gyro debacle last time I moved to the salad portion of the menu and tried the Chicken Salad Salad. It tasted decent, but this MAIN COURSE SALAD was smaller than my wife's side salad that came with her gyro!!! Sorry Taziki's, your off the list!

I originally rated Taziki's a 4/5, but have since had a horrible/disgusting experience and will not be returning.
(1)Bradley M.
These guys are excellent - great food, great atmosphere, great pricing. Nice addition to Cool Springs in general. Go see 'em if you enjoy good Greek food.
(5)Vanessa P.
Cute little spot next to Whole Foods in Franklin. Super casual and completely decent greek food (they even have a Greek beer). I read a review that dissed the lemony hummus, the dill in the sauce, etc. - that's Greek food. So if you like your lamb herby, your grape leaves rolled around rice, and your chicken on a stick - OPA - you just might like this little cafe.
(3)Greg S.
A local chain that is very good. Chicken gyro is a must try
(4)Bill F.
This is a nice Mediterranean place. Nothing special here though...I got the chicken rollups which were like Greek taquitos or flautas...and they were pretty good...too small of a portion for my liking. Might bs back next year. I wouldn't go out of my way to though.
(3)Matt D.
Inside is super nice. But the food leaves a lot to be desired. I'd probably give it another shot but stay away from the grape leaves; they taste like I made them.
(2)B O.
Very flavorful food for a decent price. I had the hummus and a chicken tomato-pesto wrap with a cucumber-tomato salad. The Hummus could use some olive oil to make it better but at least it was not just mushed up chick peas. It had flavor. The side salad was very good.
(4)Rachael K.
Food tasted very fresh but had a lot of flavor. Best Greek restaurant in Franklin/Cool Springs! It's actually clean inside and has a great ambiance too which is rare for greek spots in this area!
