Came here last night bc my sister and I were really craving some sushi. I was a little skeptical about coming to a Chinese restaurant for it, but we came bc we read pretty good reviews about it. We started off with the crab wontons. It was more like crab flavored cream cheese wontons. The crab seemed to be nonexistent, but luckily we like cream cheese and we're not huge complainers. The sushi actually wasn't that bad. We ordered the deluxe sushi combo that came with 10 pc of nigiri and a spicy tuna, and a few other rolls. The waitress suggested a roll that is deep fried in a jalapeño, which was really good. But c'mon, you can never go wrong with anything deep fried. The rest were pleasantly decent. The only hiccup we had was when we got our food, we noticed we had sashimi rather than nigiri (which was totally fine!) and we didn't get the spicy tuna either (again, fine bc we had plenty of other rolls) so we told our waitress the mix up but said it was okay and that we didn't need the other roll, and to just make sure we were charged for what we received. Keep in mind, my sister and I both worked at sushi restaurants, so we know the lingo and what's what. The waitress seemed confused and even went back to get the order sheet that we had marked. She tried to tell us that we got what we ordered, but we had to tell her multiple times that what we had was sashimi, not nigiri, which would be individually sitting on a bed of rice if it was nigiri. She finally realized that we were right and brought us the spicy tuna anyway. I understand there's a language barrier, but I just think that you should have your servers know the difference between something as simple as that if you're going to serve it at the restaurant. In all, wasn't a bad experience. The lunch sushi special looks good so I'd come back to try that out.

We had hoped that telling them the pho was a bit too sweet cinnamony would have helped, nope. We only order chicken wings, basil chicken, chicken pho and chicken fried rice and sometimes am order of tuna sushi. It now has become only our kids favorite and our second. The people who own it are nice and I hope they continue.

Great food! Great service! Great prices! This place is a hidden gem! I would highly recommend it!

What I liked: 1. I finally found a place with decent Egg Drop Soup! 2. Empress Chicken was flavorful and delicious! It had a nice, subtle kick. What I didn't like: 1. The soup was great, but what I like to call "crunchies" (likely known to most as fried wontons) were stale and tasted like a wet dog smells. 2. My Moo Goo Gai Pan was pretty bland and the chicken was very rubbery. 3. The "fried rice" was essentially white rice in soy sauce- no veggies, eggs, meat or even tofu The verdict: My search for decent Chinese continues...

I'm giving this 1 star only for their ice coffee only. This is a Chinese restaurant, do NOT order vietnamese ice coffee here. It was awful. It did not taste like coffee. I'm not even sure what was used for creamer. It was not condensed milk .

I've dined here a couple of times and it's always been pretty good! Service is the way I like it - servers don't pester and are happy to get whatever you ask for. They have GREAT lunch specials. You can leave this place stuffed at lunch and only spend $10. I recommend the Pho. It's a huge bowl and very yummy. They have some fried sushi rolls that I have tried and didn't really enjoy it. It was very "heavy" with lots of cream cheese. All the other rolls are delicious. Also, wonton soup isn't that great. I opt for the miso.

I have recently discovered Peking Palace, and I couldn't be happier. The place is family run, and if you go in during the slow periods, typically you'll see the family sit down and eat together as they have time, stealing glances at the television mid-conversation. As a result the service isn't always the fastest, but it is very friendly, and those of you who are in a hurry can always call ahead and order food to go; I frequently stop in for some salmon nigiri and their Alaska roll. This trip I managed to get my wife to try their California and Alaska rolls (quite an accomplishment for her, as she never, ever eats sushi of any kind). We also ordered the J.T. roll, which is, if I remember correctly, a very large rice-outside roll filled with shrimp, spicy king crab, white tuna (which may or may not have been escolar), avocado and topped with salmon --positively delicious! We also ordered their vegetable lo mein noodles, and my wife and I agreed, the noodles were perfect: the perfect done-ness, the perfect amount of sauce, and the perfect amount of perfectly cooked vegetables. That's a lot of perfection there. The dish tasted as if it had been cooked by your Chinese grandmother (assuming you have a Chinese grandmother). Oh, and I wrote a quick tip about their pork fried dumplings. They're amazing. They're not the largest I've had, but they were pan-fried to a delicious golden brown, not too crisp or too doughy, and the sauce was made with slightly more sesame flavor than in other establishments. My wife and I agreed that they were delectable. In short, I've had better sushi, but, for where I am and what it is, the sushi here is quite good; the portions are generous and the fish is fresh. I swear their salmon nigiri has to be cut a half-inch thick at times, so you get a lot as well. It is conveniently located, family owned, and the price is right. I'll be back many times.

Out and about in Cool Springs with a desire for some "chinese". We stopped at Target and I spotted Peking. So per usual I checked yelp and sure enough good reviews. Stopped in and looked through the menu and ultimately decided on the Beef Pho per the sign posted in the doorway and the recomendation of the nice lady working. She brought my food and informed me on how to prepare it once I got home. Holy! Crap! I opened up and FRESH ingredients stared me in the face. SCORE. The aroma was heavenly! That stuff was soo good! I will be back! I will try more but did I say HOLY CRAP yet? Please people, support local businesses that clearly focus on quality!

Stopped in to introduce a friend to sushi and hoped it was going to be good. The Travis Daniel roll was amazing! All the sushi was made to perfection! We will definitely be back for more!

My Pad Thai was delicious, but the waitress never came back after our food was dropped off. After waiting an insane amount of time, a friend had to find our waitress to bring our tickets. Then, we had to wait another 20 min. for someone else to bring our tickets. I know they were a little busy but it was ridiculous.

Just moved to the cool springs area and felt like I would give this place a shot based on the positive reviews. For me, it did not live up to the hype. My wife and I were craving hot and sour soup (usually we hit up Fulins/Basil/Roal Thai) and we found ourselves close to the Target in the area. In short, it literally tasted like someone had poured syrup into the hot and sour soup. It was SHOCKINGLY sweet. I immediately inquired to the waitress, Teresa, about the reasoning behind this. She claimed they put sugar and rice vinegar in it and that's how it comes. We rejected the food and told her we were done with it. I don't know if I got the bottom of the bowl or what, but she took our plates and spoons and threw them aggressively into the hot and sour soup bowl and walked off. My wife was shocked by how rude the lady was and I defended her and said she was probably just sensitive about their food quality and takes pride in the store. Nonetheless, we ordered the kung pao chicken, which was VERY average- tasted more like a take out chinese place and this place seemed like a step up from that level....but I guess not. We did get another waitress after the earlier incident with Teresa and she was kind, yet they still ended up charging us for the hot and sour soup we took several spoons of. I let the cashier know before I left that I was displeased in case the waitress asked why I left such a small gratuity (which I NEVER do). I will not be back to this establishment, seeing how customer service and ensuring new and current customers are treated with respect and care should be on the forefront of any restaurant's priority. Hopefully someone affiliated with the business can read this and understand that every single customer counts.

Do not eat here the food is decent but they are purposely try to rob you, they tried charging me 10 dollars over what I actually owed they are crooks still wound up over paying even after disputing the bill

Very tender steak! We stopped in for lunch before hitting the mall. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted because there were many choices on the lunch menu. I narrowed it down to the House Specialties section and ordered the Seafood and Steak Combo. The seafood was good but the steak was exceptionally tender. So much so I ate everything else and saved most of it for last. I wanted it to be the last thing I tasted. The combo came with choice of soup and salad. The salad had ginger dressing on it like most Chinese restaurants. I usually get wonton soup but I was feeling adventurous today so I got the egg flower instead. It was good but I think I like wonton better. I was happy to see that there were plenty of tables available. I was hungry and ready to eat. We had good service and the food arrived quickly. Overall great lunch.

This restaurant deserves no stars from me! The dumplings were frozen and then poorly cooked on top of that. Service was lacking completely. No one there was friendly or checked to see if we needed Anything else. The food was served luke warm to cold. We left two entrees barely touched. It was inedible! Ahh. the soup! Left half a bowl because it was not fit to waste calories on.

Best Chinese Food I've had so far Nashville. Wonderful staff, clean decor, and the food is always fresh. I often stop in for sushi. The sushi chef is excellent and knowledgeable. The fish always top grade which is surprising in a landlocked state! Try it for lunch, you won't regret it.

Love this place! It's right by my office and the staff is friendly/very quick. The food is delicious and I love the lunch special. Highly recommend this for anyone who is in a rush and needs a quick sushi fix. Super yummy!

My husband and I were very excited to find a place in Franklin that served Pho. We hadn't been to Peking Palace in over three years because we weren't impressed before. It has been redecorated inside. After lunch today we again found ourselves saying that we didn't get our socks knocked off. The service was really good, the atmosphere was fine but for the money the food needed help. My $15 large bowl of Pho (most I've ever paid for Pho in mid TN) was good but not great. The broth had a sweet flavor which I usually like but lacked depth. I'd be willing to bet it was instant broth. Herbs and condiments brought with it were fine except no fried onions and no chilli oil. That is a regional or cultural difference preference tho. The pad Thai was a large portion also but had better be for the price. $15 as well. Husband said it tasted like it had straight peanut butter for sauce. Again, lacked depth but was good. I don't hate this place but haven't been overly impressed. We may give it another try as the waitress suggested a special stir fry noodle dish. Part of the money issue here may be location. If you travel into Nashville you'll find a super huge bowl of combination Pho usually doesn't cost more than $10.95.

Well the owner of this restaurant used to be involved in Ming's that unexpectedly shut down in Cool Springs. The Chinese food is really pretty decent, but I went to try the sushi and it was really not good. Since Tennessee is a landlocked state, it is tough to find good seafood of any kind, but it is possible. The places that have good sushi, in the Middle Tennessee area, generally get their sushi from an international distributor out of Atlanta on a twice-a-week delivery schedule. I don't know where this sushi came from, but it was definitely a grade down from A or B. REMEMBER! sushi is Japanese not Chinese. Don't make the mistake of thinking they are interchangeable. Peking Palace is Chinese. We will leave it there.

My husband and I were looking for a chinese buffet. We found this review on Yelp and decided to try it out, though it was not a buffet. The food was fresh, hot, and made to order. I recommend this restaurant. Better than any Asian place I have eaten so far in this area. Two thumbs up! Willl be going back and will be getting take out from here.

I would say it is pretty authentic but the Hong Kong Seafood noodle I ordered did not taste good at all. It still had seafood odor and the seafood was only a little comparing to the noodle. The menu was also very misleading. It was not noodles that came with the order but fensi. The atmosphere was horrible with 1960s like decoration and music.

Peking Palace is always my place of choice anytime I'm in the mood for Sweet & Sour Chicken. At 6.50 for a meal that easily feeds me for two lunches, it doesn't get any better! They slice real white meat chicken into strips for dunking, it has completely spoiled me instead of getting the puffs of chicken from other places. I've had a few bites from other plates and they were all very tasty, but as I said, I'm in love with the Sweet and Sour Chicken! I will say their sweet and sour sauce is VERY strong, the strongest I've ever had from anywhere but I enjoy it. I call ahead from work and in 10 minutes my order is always ready for pick up!

Wow!!!! I cannot believe the sushi here.... I am a so happy I came here I was nervous when I pulled up and saw it sitting alone with just a few cars up front bit decided to check it out due to the reviews I sat down and ordered two rolls so I could indulge in soup and salad... Wasn't impressed with either but it was free and keep me happy while I waited Sat at the sushi bar and was refreshed to see a woman sous chef... She served me a salmon roll while I waited and I complained to the man next to me that I didn't like salmon but ate it for the kindness from her... Wow!!! I ate the whole thing and loved it I ordered the sexy jalapeño roll and king crab roll ... I forget the name... Both were completely amazing.. The jalapeño roll was different and didn't have rice so didn't make me completely full... I am very picky with my crab and will not for any reason eat imitation... The king crab was fresh and wonderful.. I even for a little Piece of outer layer shell so know it 100 percent real!!! If your in the area and don't need all the bells and whistles this is the place to go The people next to me were obviously regulars and that makes me even more refreshed Great sushi

The sushi was crazy good here. Don't judge from the street. It's the end unit in a strip mall, but what it lacks in ambiance is more than made up for in taste. In town for business. Didn't want to eat at a chain & this area is full of them. Yelp looked good on this place so thought I'd give it a try. Glad I did! If you're looking for great sushi at a local place, no pretenses, just really good sushi, give Peking Palace a shot.

We went here on Christmas Eve. They accommodated our group of 18. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the pho noodle soup, it was very good. Great flavor. Make sure you mix in the bean sprouts and herbs while it is hot to let them steep. We shared several sushi rolls: kamikaze, dragon and spicy tuna roll all excellent. Had a bite of the mushy pork rolls, it was prepared at the table for our dinner party. Also excellent. Service was good. Will definitely be going back to try some of the Chinese fare.

Squid salad, General's Tofu, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Gyoza, all excellent. What a find. Someone here is cooking with pride and love. Staff professional and friendly.

I came in solo one afternoon. There were two ladies covering the entire floor. They were not communicating with one another, as they each approached the table within minutes of me sitting down, asking if I was ready to order. It was my first time. I started with the gyoza. The sauce was so good I could drink it! I then ordered the spicy Orange Chicken. I could have split the dish with four other people. The sauce was excellent, but the portion size was overwhelming. Their rice was unusual, not just plain white rice, but instead had bits of egg. It was tasty. Next time,I will bring someone with me to help me conquer the plates!

We ate there for lunch today. I had the Empress Shrimp w/soup egg roll, and shrimp tempura sushi. My kids had chicken love me in, kung pow chicken, and my husband stuck to sweet and sour chicken. Everything was freshly cooked. The soup was warm, and the service was efficient. It has been a very long time since I've found a good Chinese restaurant that wasn't a buffet. I've missed it. Everyone in my family was happy with their food, and it was very filling. I look forward to coming back.

THIS IS OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. We usually get sweet Anand sour chicken, orange beef, chicken low me in, dragon roll or pho. The lemonn chicken is also great! The wait staff is super sweet and they really make sure you enjoy your food! The take out is also great. But remember they're closed on Monday. That took me a while to get used to. I was always craving this place on a Monday ha

I have been looking for an amazing Chinese restaurant for a while, and this one seems to be pretty good. Not the best I've had by far, but for idle Tennessee Chinese food pretty good. We are lunch and I had the sweet and sour chicken, it was prepared differently than I have ever seen but it was good. I would go back for lunch

  • Chan S.

I've never been disappointed. The atmosphere is always inviting. The food is delicious and the wait staff is friendly. They have a variety of dishes. Beef, chicken, pork, and sushi. There is something for everyone. What's weird is that they have a Vietnamese flair. Which isn't bad, but it detracts with the whole chimes restaurant name and cuisine. Other than that, I would recommend it to all my friends and co worker.

Don't know exactly why, but hubby and I had never really eaten sushi until our visit here. We've had opportunities, but just never really pulled the trigger for some reason. In our attempt to try something different (at times, living in Cool Springs, you do need a change of pace), we visited and were quite pleased. The servers were very kind, and when they realized we were sushi virgins they asked questions (not easy in broken English) and helped us make suggestions, figure out combos, etc. Sadly I've waited too long since our visit for the review to remember what all exactly we ate, but honestly everything was good - some more inclined to him or me than others, but wouldn't say anything was a bad experience. As a happy accident, when you eat your salad keep the bowl, and use some of the ginger dressing for some of your selections - quite yummy. Not gourmet, of course, you're in a strip center beside Target, but not bad, either. We'll be back.

We LOVE Peking Palace and Sushi Bar. I always get the Hunan Chicken meal and my husband gets sushi. The Hunan chicken sauce is wonderful and comes with lots of veggies, carrots, snow peas, onion, green peppers, celery. We have never had to wait for a table but they always seem to have a crowd and keep people coming back. We also do call in/take out. They always say 10 mins and it's always the right order and on time. Great service and our FAVORITE chinese place we have found. Also a plus being right by Target ;)

Excellent Chinese carryout with super fresh ingredients! Hunan Chicken is some of the best I've ever had! My three youngest absolutely love their Chicken Lo Mein! We've been looking for a great Chinese carryout since moving here from Ohio & I'd say we've found it!

The chicken is all crispy and delicious. Easily one of my favorite Asian cuisine places in all of south Nashville. Sesame chicken and won ton soup is all great. Take out is pretty good too.

My Wife and I travel extensively. We have been fortunate to sample great food (down to earth fare more than pretentious gourmet) from so many regions. We have been very impressed with the quantity and quality of culinary options available in the Nashville area, especially here in Franklin. ----Quick shout out to Arnold's Country Kitchen, perhaps our favorite dining option out of all the places we have ever been ANYWHERE.--- The one thing we had not found, up until now, was a decent local asian food establishment. Pei Wei and PF Changs don't count as they are really more "Fusion", and they are "Chain Food". We decided to give Peking Palace a try as we were certain there must be a quality option SOMEWHERE. We are glad we did. This is a solid quality Asian Food outlet. I can't speak for the Sushi as we do not eat Seafood, but I would give high marks to the other offerings on the menu. Particularly to the Five Flavor Chicken. Good stuff ! This is our new "Go To" Asian place locally. Granted, this is not SOCAL'S "PEONY" restaurant, but for the area, this is solid food, cooked well, and reasonably priced for the generous portions. FOUR AND A HALF STARS Give it a try. You'll be glad you did.

Peking is a great find! The have above average sushi execution as well as Chinese offerings that are on point and authentic. The ladies that run this place are sweet and the service is good. Try the specials for lunch and you will be back for dinner!

    (4)
  • Ashley W.

Best sushi around! The lunch special is a wonderful price for what you get. The sushi is always fresh and I have never had to wait more than 10-15 mins for my food to be ready, even when they are very busy during a dinner rush.

I had heard a lot about this place from my fiancee's former coworker, so we decided to try it out. I tried their yellowtail roll and some chicken fried rice...both were delicious. Even got a 10% discount through the Yelp check-in option, but the employees there didn't really seem to know much about it. The service was also slow somewhat. I would definitely go back for the chicken fried rice though...there was plenty of food to take home for leftovers. Yummy!

Not sure about the food here, I couldn't get that far. I went on-line and looked at their take-out menu. I called and placed my order and was told it wasn't on the menu. I told the waitress I was looking at their website and she very rudely told me the menu had been updated and I would have to use the new one. Aside from the absurdity of being told I was looking at an old menu when I was looking at their website, with that kind of attitude from their staff, I have no desire to even try their food.

Ordered the Kung Pow chicken and asked for it very spicy.... and it was amazing. Skip P.F. Changs, this place provides alot of the similar classic stir fried dishes but prepared fresh and with more care. Can't speak for the sushi, because that's not my thing.

Having some Chicken Curry with the husband. Outside is deceiving because it looks small. Once inside, clean and nice setting. Thai tea was a bit on the sweet side but everything else was great. We will be back!

In short - best Chinese I've found in the Nashville suburbs, and probably the best outside of Suzy Wong in the region. Long form - moved here from CA and for years bemoaned the lack of decent Chinese. Fried rice in particular was hard to stomach. This is closer to California style than any other place I've found (not counting PF Chain's), and good top to bottom. Haven't tried their sushi but I don't order chicken at a steakhouse either. Clearly a family-run place, usually will have one of the school-age kids taking orders\doing takeout later in the evening Wish they were open on Mondays but everyone needs a day off. Top recommendations - lo mein (bit different noodles than I expected) fried rice (best I've had, hands down), sesame beef.

  • Mike A.

This is my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant. The Hot and Sour soup is the best I've ever had - I always have a cup when I eat here. For the main entree, I usually get either the General's Chicken or the Orange Beef. The portions are huge, so bring a big appetite. I've only had the sushi a few times, and it's been good each time - I'm just not a huge sushi eater. I eat here so often that they often bring my soup and usual drink before they take my order - I'm predictable. This is a great restaurant - I've never been disappointed.

Good Chinese places are hard to find in general (umm, hello MSG), but they are even more scarce in Cool Springs as I believe there is only one or two of them to choose from in the area. I saw Peking Palace every time I went to Target, and I always said, "I should try that place sometime." Apparently, Peking Palace used to be Ming's over on Frazier Drive. So, same owners, etc. I had only been to Ming's once or twice. On Saturday, the hubs and I ventured to Cool Springs to look at some equipment at Play It Again Sports. My husband was so hungry that he was in no position to make any decisions about purchasing anything. So, we headed to the nearest non-fast food restaurant. We had missed the lunch specials by about 5 minutes (ah poo!), so we knew we would be paying more for about the same amount of food. Oh well. We were hungry! I ordered the chicken fried rice and an eggroll and he ordered the General Chicken. The service was very quick and the portion sizes were so HUGE that we immediately asked for to go boxes to put half of our meals in. For the price and the quality and quantity, we were both very satisfied with our experience at Peking Palace. I now have a new work lunch take-out option should the urge arise for good Chinese food!

I love this place. I was a big fan of this restaurant the first time it was in business and was thrilled when it opened back up. The hot and sour soup is the best I've ever had. Hands down! Delicious! I gravitate towards the hot and spicy stuff. Twice cooked pork is a favorite of mine here. All the vegetables are just as fresh as can be. There's obviously nothing frozen and out of a bag served here. I've had other Chinese where the fried wontons were just frozen, reheated fare. These are fresh! Yummy yummy yummy! Fried dumplings get a favorable nod as well. My wife is a big fan of the sushi. They add cream cheese to a sushi roll she loves, so they are willing to tweak the menu to your specific tastes. These sisters that own the place are very personable and remember return customers.

I enjoyed a workday lunch here today. The food is a step higher than I expected for a strip mall Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Chicken with Chinese Vegetables and it came with fried rice, an eggroll and a choice of soup - I chose Won Ton. The vegetables were still nice and crisp and not over-cooked and the rice was nice and fluffy - not greasy. I saw that they also serve Pho, Pad Thai and Sushi at lunch - I'll have to go back and try some new things. I really had a craving for Chinese food today otherwise I may have given the Pho a try. The service was prompt and friendly as well.

We are so happy that Peking Palace is back! It's the same great food that was offered at PP back in the day and at Ming's Buffett. Same great food! Same great service! I am especially fond of the Five Flavored Beef and the Hot and Sour Soup.

I heard about this place from a former co-worker of mine. I was expecting it to be a wide array of sushi and typical Japanese and Chinese cuisine. However the sushi, while very good, is limited in variety and particularly combos. Also, the service was a bit slow, as my fiance mentioned, which for near closing time, though somewhat understandable still is no excuse. I might go back again, but unlike other sushi bars in the area, nothing really stood out about this place.

  • G L.

Due to the exterior and location inside of a strip mall, I've always cast this restaurant aside. Numerous times I've passed it and thought "Oh I'm not in the mood for a buffet place with crab legs or I don't want a number 78 that consists of meat, fried rice and an egg roll... " But I could not have been more wrong. This place has excellent sushi which is on par for the rest of the sushi I've ever had. it's reasonably priced as well. I bought 5 rolls, 2 soups and 2 drinks for under 50 dollars. If you get a chance definitely check this place out.

Good Chinese in comparison to other Chinese restaurants in the Nashville Metro area. The Chinese food doesn't compare to what's offered in Chicago or New York but it's a good try at least. Given that there aren't many Chinese food restaurants that are good, makes this one worth trying . I didn't try the sushi, so I can't vouch how good it is. The shrimp lo mein and the clams in black bean sauce was okay. From an American standpoint it's decent Chinese food, however from a Chinese standpoint, it could use some work. Also, the prices are a little expensive for Chinese food.

  • David S.

We ordered the sweet and sour soup, but they forgot the sour; it was nothing but sweet. I ordered the Pad Thai, but it was just noodles in coconut milk. No heat, no chili peppers, nothing like any other Pad Thai I've ever had. Just sweet. My wife ordered a vegetable Thai dish that was supposed to be spicy, but it was just sugary sweet sauce. The food wasn't bad, it was just all sugary sweet. The place is clean, prices are very low, and the staff was very friendly, but we won't be back.

Even though I've long since moved, I still try to find time to make it here when I'm back in town for a delicious bowl of hot and sour soup. I grew up in Franklin, so I remember going to the old Peking Palace in this location (still same owners) when I was little. I followed them when they moved and became Ming's, and I followed them when they moved back to the old stomping grounds to become Peking Palace again. The service has always been top notch, and the food delicious. My favorites have always been Hunan Beef and of course, the legendary hot and sour soup. Tangy, hot, sour, I've never had hot and sour soup like this and I still dream of it to this day. I measure all other hot and sour soups against this one. Go, you won't be disappointed.

Best Chinese food restaurant in Franklin! I've been in Middle TN for almost 4 years and have been searching for a great Chinese food since. My search stopped at Peking. Our whole family loves their menu and my wife loves the choice of sushi if she desires. Do not leave without trying the hot-n-sour soup. Best I've ever had!

Peking is amazing. When I first moved to Nashville 10 years ago, my aunt was a huge fan. I was hooked instantly. Their hot and sour soup is amazing. When they were Mings we were regulars. I have to say I miss mings because of the value but I am just glad to have them back at this point. The food has improved since not being Mings, however the soup is different. It is a bit hotter than it's ever been and I think it might have something to do with the peppers used. I won't complain because when I saw the "sign closed for remodel" then went back to see 5 guys, I never thought I would have that soup again. My only complaints are1. The sushi is VERY overpriced for what it is which is why we don't eat it when there and 2. When they get busy and get a rush, the service suffers. I love that it is a family owned business and the kids are learning how to work. I get it. I like it. But we noticed on the last trip that the kids aren't in as big of a hurry to provide service as the adults are. We waited so long to get refills and then again for the check to come. I will always go back for the soup and the soup alone. Noone, NOONE does it better, but my orders will most likely be take out from now on.

Based on the reviews so far, I'm calling this place overrated. Granted, the hot & sour soup was fantastic, but the rest of my meal (beef fried rice and egg roll) was flavorless and bland. There are definitely better (and cheaper) places in Franklin.

My boyfriend and I go here at least once a week. We get the deluxe sushi combo and an eel roll every time, which is plenty of food for two people and comes out around $20 (plus it comes with soup and salad). The sushi is incredibly fresh and the portions are gigantic--so much so that I can't eat a piece of sashimi in one bite. The Chinese food is also fantastic, but it's hard to get anything else besides the combo when the sushi is that amazing. Easily our favorite restaurant.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
