Old Chicago Pasta & Pizza Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'm giving a tentative 3-stars here, because I feel like our experience may not have been the norm. We got some of the worst service I've had in recent memory. Our waiter seemed to have partaken in some questionable recreational activities before his shift, because his focus clearly wasn't with us. Our straightforward drink orders somehow turned into a puzzle that involved our waiter asking us which drinks he was carrying, as if we watched him pour them at the bar. Of the seven of us, six did the buffet, but he still managed to mess up the one menu order at our table. But he wasn't alone, we witnessed neighboring tables having similar experiences, with one poor woman's order being brought to her incorrectly three separate times. Service aside, the food was pretty good. As mentioned, we did the buffet, which is a great deal. None of the pizza blew me away, but it was leagues better than most buffet-style pizza you'll find. The one upside to our bad service was that our waiter forgot to charge us for our food. As in, he brought our checks and said "hey, I just realized I forgot to charge you for your buffets... but don't worry about it." I'd normally assume the manager comped us, but the waiter's incompetency was stunning. Since I've heard good things about Old Chicago, I'll go back once before completely writing it off. As it stands though, my experience was less than pleasant.

Nice new restaurant in Cool Springs. Food fair, but as expected for this chain. Service was abysmal. Took 15+ minutes to get a BOTTLE of beer. Pizza ready and delivered to table before appetizer salads. Wait staff overall inexperienced and made the dining experience dreadful. Will not return. Ever.

Great experience. Food was delicious and staff was wonderful. Thanks Sampson, for taking good care of us.

We were so excited to see Old Chicago open. Just moved here from Colorado and it was one of our favorite pizza places. Since the restaurant is new, it was very crowded and the hostess estimated 40 - 50 minutes for a table but we only waited about 20 minutes. Instead of ordering the buffet, we had the double decker pepperoni. The pepperoni on the top was burned, but it was still good. Next time, we'll have the buffet. The service was pretty good - a lot of people stopped by the table. Our only complaint - not one of the tv's was showing the Broncos game. My husband asked the waiter if they could change one of the tv's, and the manager got it changed within 10 minutes. We'll be back!

We will be back! We stopped in here on our way out of town because everything else we tried was closed for the holiday weekend. Unfortunately, we were sat at 1:31, so the pizza bar was no longer available (although there was leftover pizza on every tray and they didn't shut the pizza bar door until about 2:00). We split just a normal pepperoni pizza, but it was the best deep dish pizza I've had in the south. Too bad we live 2.5 hours away.

Great pizza, great service, and great atmosphere and my kids love it! We will be back!

Chicago Deep Dish pizza! The pizza was surprisingly good, despite the fears expressed by that little voice inside me that's telling me it's not healthy (I had to remind it that most foods that are not healthy do taste good...) The pizza wasn't as greasy as some deep dishes may be, which was good, because it meant the pizza wasn't just oozing in oil...and it let you actually taste the ingredients. We created our own pie, and it came to the table surprisingly fast considering how busy it was, and how un-standard our pizza was. We also had some salads to start, all of which were "higher-end" salads (i.e. it wasn't just iceberg lettuce and carrot sticks tossed in vinegar). The salads were actually quite tasty, and it satisfied the the health-conscious voice. Chicago is definitely a place we'll likely return to. On a personal note, I loved that they had trivia, and people were actually playing it for a change. My only major complaint is the parking - the place can occupy far more than the parking spaces it has, but if you know Cool Springs, you know parking is growing issue with many places.

Good pizza, they sometimes burn the deep dish pizzas. The appetizers are a good deal during happy hour (hint after 10pm) Half off. I'd recommend the pizza rolls and mini pizzas. Large beer selection. They even display it on a huge flatscreen. All the TVs have a good display (sports). I'm kinda of a fan of chicago style pizza and although this is a Boulder Colorado version, it will suffice.

I don't usually review chains, but I've been happy enough with Old Chicago to go ahead and give it one. First up, yes it's crowded and always is. However, I'm a fan of the "event dinner" and love to hit the bar while waiting for a table. Of course, if you can time it right, you have dinner in the bar without having to wait for a table. Definitely a time saver! I've always had great service from the servers, but sometimes the bartenders can be hit or miss. As advertised, they offer a HUGE selection of beer. A big draw for me! if you can't see the taps, they list their current selection on large screens and, of course, in a small book on the table. They almost always have a Mini-Tour going, which is always fun and encouraging to try something new. And, can you say "Happy Hour"? They have a standard happy hour menu which includes $3 drafts on domestics and $3 appetizers. Personally, we love the jalapeno pretzels. They aren't really spicy, but the jalapeno adds great flavor. We were told by the server that they make them in-house, and they did taste really fresh. The beer cheese that comes with them is pretty darn tasty too! The Happy Hour also changes Mon-Thurs and offers different specials. We like Thurs - $4 Imperial Pints! Oh yeah! Oh, and the pizza is really good too. A little tip: if you're looking for a vegetarian option (which they don't have many!), ask for a Veggie 7. It's not on the menu, but they'll make one for you. It's pretty much a Chicago 7, but the meat has been replaced with more veggies.

This review went from a one star review to a four star review very quick. My family and I went for a late lunch on July 4. I noticed the buffet and my son in law and I went right to it. While we were eating, the waitress informed is that we probably should not have gone to the buffet as it was closing down for the day and would not be restocked. I was a little perturbed at this but didn't say anything. The manager came by and apologized for the confusion and asked my son in law and I what our favorite pizza was. We told him and he said he would fix us a half and half of our choices on the house. I thought that was a classy touch and the pizza was delicious! I don't remember the waitresses name but she was very kind and attentive, even getting the kitchen to make a cookie for us for dessert. We also had sought pizza to take home. The food was very good and I thought this was the perfect way to handle the situation. We will be back.

Not as cheesy as a true Chicago style pizza, but it was good though:-)

Really enjoyed this place until tonight when the GM refused to pipe the sound for the Arkansas vs Kentucky game over the sound system. His exact words were "I'm sorry sir but this is not a sports bar." DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY SPORTING EVENTS! THIS IS NOT A SPORTS BAR! IT IS A RESTAURANT!

It was so-so. I was basically forced to go here, since I had people that were offering me dinner. To be respectful, I went and sat down. The service I had was from a waitress named Mary. She was extremely nice, and very patient with our big party. So, the service was wonderful. She would always have a smile, and made sure everything was okay for us. The food seemed very normal. Nothing really spectacular in my opinion. If you want a more fresh pizza, instead of quickly made or frozen, then this is a good place. They do have other things other than just pizza. The good thing about the pizza portions for this place is the individual to large sizes. I did not order from the specialty pizza list, I made ours. The cooks did a fairly decent job on the requested "create your own" pizza. They do provide several different toppings for your pizza, and allow two different crust: deep dish (Chicago) and thin crust. They have specific names for these two, but basically its just deep dish and thin crust. Food was 3-stars, and the service for me was pretty much 5-stars. Good place for family or group as well. They do have a bar as well.

All day on Sunday they have $2.50 screwdrivers and bloody mary's. Score. Bar staff was nice enough, but a couple of the guys didn't seem like they wanted to be there. I mean, they were working on Sunday and probably DIDN'T want to be there, but you can at least fake it for a few hours, especially when you're working for tips. Stole a piece of BBQ chicken pizza from a friend. It was the thin crust and was tasty. Looking forward to the thick crust next time because the dough did have good flavor. Speaking of dough, I got the dough bites appetizer. Just balls of pizza dough deep fried and served with melted cheese topped with bacon. For $3.95 it was fantastic. I'll get a side of marinara next time.

Well I've been back a few times to old Chicago. Most it's just for a quick in and out with pizza buffet and drink which is extremely reasonable. On one of my last visits however we decided to order the double decker pepperoni pizza. It came out burnt. So a couple things on this, why kitchen put it in the window, why did the server bring it to the table? A manager did come over and offer to remake the pizza since what we had was inedible, it was our only course of action if we want that pizza for lunch. From the time we sat down to we actually got our meal was close to an hour. So this may be a place where if you go for lunch you just want to get the pizza buffet, and take your chances ordering a pie.

We arrived really late, about an hour before close. And they were really awesome to seat us. And the food we ordered was fresh and hot. The pizzas we ordered were great! Thanks for the super service Megan and AJ!

I'd give 4 stars for the food, but the overall rating is brought down because of wait staff blunders. We've dined at this restaurant 4-5 times now. All but one visit has been marred by inattentive, disappearing staff who seem to have difficulty keeping orders straight and drinks filled. As another reviewer commented, the wait staff are really adept at walking past, eyes averted, ignoring empty glasses and other needs. Our last visit (early November) was probably the worst as our waiter brought us the wrong drinks not once, not twice, but three times all while disappearing for long stretches in between. During that visit, we called over another waiter over to help get us the correct drinks, but who brought the wrong drinks also. We also flagged down one of the managers (who was in the process of quickly walking by); he promised fixes, but then fled the area and seemingly did nothing. Our other visit that tied for "most awful" was because of a waiter who moved only in slow motion -- 10 minutes to get beverages after ordering, long stretches during the meal where our glasses were empty, 10 minutes to get the ticket at the end of the meal after flagging him down to ask for it, 10 more minutes for him to pick up the ticket folder with our method of payment, and another 10 minutes to run the payment and bring it back to the table for signature. Holy moly. In summary, the kitchen management seems to be pretty good as we've never had any complaints about the food or the time it takes to get the food (although they have some trouble keeping the choc chip cookies in stock). It's just that the dining room management/staff are in need of significant improvement.

Alot of variety of beer on tap and excellent pizza. Love the layout and concept of this bar. One of the wait staff liked to make bird calls too.

The lunch buffet is warm, fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Calzones are as big as a football packed full of cheese and meats so on. Great service. Salads very Italian and delicious as well. A must

I am from San Diego and it is not know for pizza. So when I travel I do try to find a good place. This place was excellent! I got their meat lovers on thin crust! Awesome! Only downside was that I could not get a medium. A personal size is too small for me and the large was way too big. Flavor was excellent with different types of sausages and cilantro. I will come back when I am in town!

Old Chicago has a wonderful selection of beer but unfortunately the service was extremely subpar. The wait time for a drink was a minimum of 10 minutes. The bottom line is management. Their general manager, Tammy Hood, clearly lacks experience. Not recommended.

  • Bev R.

We were excited to see a Chicago style pizza place arrive. Sadly this place is NOT Chicago style and serves up deep dish Domino's - greasy, little sauce and flavorless cheese. Good Beer selection is a plus but I'd rather pick up a 6 pack and grab a Pie from Nick's or Sal's.

  • Sloane S.

As a Chicago girl, and a pizza snob, be warned..there is NOTHING about this pizza that says Chicago. It's an insult. Take it out of the name. The service was terrible, the prices too high and the pizza was soaked in butter. I would not even take the leftovers home. The bar looks fun. It's about the only thing I would go back for. Don

One of my worst experiences. Started out having to wait nearly two hours for a table for eight on a Friday night. I know they were slammed, but we had been told it would be 45 mins. The one star here goes to the server, a very friendly, efficient man. But the pizza was just plan bad. I got the deep dish and it was covered in grease. Gave me a horrible stomach ache later that night. We won't be going back.

My wife and I went to the Old Chicago Pizza in Cool Springs at 440 Cool Springs Blvd and had lunch. We were seated right away and it was really busy but it seemed they could handle a busy evening. Service was excellent and atmosphere was great and welcoming for families. We really enjoyed our pizza but did encounter a couple of problems. Our pizza did not come out like we ordered and had toppings missing. Our waitress was wonderful and did everything she could to make the order come back correct but the new kitchen staff did not perform well. We explained along with the waitress to the manager what was going on and he offered to make us another pizza but we were hungry and had eaten some already while we waited. The manager later made the whole situation right with us and we are very happy with the outcome. My wife says she will give them another chance since Old Chicago Pizza is her favorite pizza but if it happens again we will go back to the Murfreesboro location where we have always had the best experience. So to shorten things our order came out wrong but the manager made it right with us and the pizza we were served was wonderful just missing some of the toppings we ordered. Good luck and I hope this helps.

My wife and I had a great experience here. The "Meat Me Calzone" was very tasty. I joined the world beer tour which is free and you can earn prizes as you go along. Great selection of craft beers of the local variety and nationwide. Due to Tennessee liquor laws they will only serve high gravity beers in a 10oz glass. Our waitress Kim did a great job and is very attentive no matter how busy it was on a Saturday night. I will definitely continue to go here in the future.

This place is great! I had never been to one and went here for lunch with coworkers one day and was really impressed. While it was very busy we were able to sit down and enjoy the buffet. I was pretty impressed with their ability to keep fresh food on the buffet and the service was actually really good for just opening. I have been back for happy hour and the place tends to fill up quickly at night (no surprise for a new restaurant in Cool Springs). Their pepperoni rolls and mini pizzas rock! Definitely worth trying...just be prepared to wait if you go for dinner.

I went to Old Chicago last night for dinner. I ordered an appetizer. I waited for a while. Then I saw someone come out with what looked like my appetizer and give it to someone else. My waitress quickly came over and explained that it had happened. THe manager quickly followed to tell me that she would remove it from the bill. She offered me a salad as well. I got the deep dish pepperoni pizza. It was delicious. I was very pleased with the service and the food at this location. Even though there was a mess up, they were quick to admit it and to offer a solution. I will definitely return again.

Unfortunately, this was the third strike for Old Chicago. The last three times we've eaten there the service had been incredibly slow, twice they've messed up our order, tonight I finally got the right calzone, well after everyone else was done eating, in a to go box. My mother got her chicken tenders 15 full minutes before any of the other food was brought out and the waitresses rudely told her she brought it out first because she assumed it was kids food! Then when the rest of the food finally arrived, mine was wrong. Our beer didn't show until after we were done eating. And the Italian nachos are getting skimpier every time, tonight I think there were 4 slices of pepperoni and only a few pieces of sausage, and to top it off the cheese was never melted. Our waitress was impossible to find and we finally had to ask another server where our drinks were. I'll head to Cool Spring Brewery from now on, the pizza and other foods are delicious and the service has never disappointed.

As I am originally from the upper Midwest, I was excited to see a pizza restaurant named Old Chicago. I had never been to any of these restaurants, so my expectation was that it would be a true deep dish in true Chicago style. The pizza here was disappointing. If you have a pizza craving that just won't wait, this will get you by, but If you want truly great pizza, you would be better off driving farther. Wait until you go to Chicago to try deep dish. There are some excellent pizza options in the Nashville area. NY Pie in West Nashville has wonderful NY style thin crust. Ziggy's Pizza east of Nashville (Gladeville) is a great takeout place, especially tasty after a walk at Cedars of Lebanon park.

I give them one star for their delicious pizza! However, the service left much to be desired. I waited 15 minutes for my beer. The staff was incompetent and slow despite the GM's presence. Better pizza AND service can be found elsewhere. The GM should re-evaluate her customer service skills. She was unprofessional and rude.

I'm not quite sure why this place has such good reviews. We went for our first and most likely last visit last night and were unimpressed with the pizza. My son and his girlfriend got the spaghetti pie and they both liked it. We also ordered a Chicago 7 deep dish and the double pepperoni deep dish, neither of which were any better than your standard Pizza Hut. Maybe the thin crust is better. Perhaps my expectations were too high as I thought this was supposed to be above average pizza. After reading all the good reviews I was quite disappointed. As for the restaurant itself, it's a nice building and the atmosphere is good. There seems to be a plethora of different beer available on tap or in a bottle. The service was actually quite good, contrary to many of the reviews I read. All in all we rank it as comparable to a Pizza Hut for pizza quality and on our charts that's darn near the bottom.

We tried to get in on Friday night and gave up out of frustration. Back again on Saturday before 5 and it was manageable. Parking is terrible, if you go on a busy night I would probably park at an Thoroughbred and walk. Our wait time was reasonable about 20 minutes and we were seated. They have the screens, plenty of views throughout and the picture quality is excellent. Andrew was our server and he was attentive and moved quickly. We started with Garlic Bread and it was excellent., hot and the marinara sauce was quite tasty. I enjoyed my pizza and look forward to other selections. Hot and served in a timely fashion. Once again Andrew did a great job keeping our glasses full and asking if we needed anything. I do know the place just opened and they probably had extra staff but I was pleased and will be back. They do have a Lunch buffet and I intend to try that. Special shout out to Charlie, one of the servers. They do a good job working other tables and he stood out with his concern for all customers. A great first visit!

Went here twice first time had Rachel she was an excellent server! Had Spaghetti Pie Alfredo with Sausage I would give it a 8-9. Had NY style cheesecake which should not have NY associated with that desert. I have had NY cheesecake and this was no where close. 2nd time had an individual pizza meats. Server Megan was below par. They were busy and at the same time she made the experience poor. The desert with cookies and ice cream is below standards. Don't get a desert you will be disappointed. I would go back and I would request to sit in Rachel's section.

My rating is all due to service. It's hard to enjoy the food there, if you are ignored and treated badly before you get to the food. My husband and I live in Franklin. We have been to Old Chicago several times since it opened there. However, the last 3 or 4 times, we have had this same problem. The Hostess stand. Last night was no exception. 3 girls (young women) were standing at the hostess stand. They ignored us - continued to talk, laugh and cut up for at least a full minute - then one of them - a short, blonde headed woman - turned to us and asked how many. I said 2. Meanwhile the other 2 taller women employees, dressed totally in black, walked away. The blonde told us it would be about 5 minutes before we could be seated - that they would have to clean off a table. Now it was 8:30pm - and there must have been 20 empty, clean tables!! I asked the young woman about one of them, and she said well most of the servers had gotten off work and she had to seat us in areas where there was a waiter working. I said oh, so you are about to close? She said, oh no. We've got 1 - 2 hours left. ??? I don't get this. Surely one of those 20 tables would have been close to a waiter/server. At that point - we left. 1. We were initially ignored. I have worked in Customer Service for over 40 years. You don't ignore the customer. You acknowledge their presence. 2. We were told we would have to wait for a clean table?! when there were plenty available, and 3. Your hostesses have bad attitudes. They always sigh like you are interrupting their conversations, and then they shrug their shoulders. We had not been to Old Chicago in about 4 months - because the last time we were treated this same way upon entering the building. Now that it happened again, we are saying we will never go back. You can get good pizza LOTS of places. There isn't a shortage in the Cool Springs/Brentwood/Franklin area. We did just that and had good pizza - with NO waiting!

While there's not a ton of Old Chicago's in Central Tennessee, this is a large, nationwide chain we've eaten at dozens of times mostly in the Oregon, Colorado and the Midwest, where they are most prevalent. In short, it's average chain food with a fun, upbeat atmosphere and a great place to drink and watch games. The greatest value comes in being open late (2am some nights) and serving food late (1am some nights). We came in at 1am, ordered a pizza, watched Sportscenter and had great service. Old Chicago's deep dish doesn't rival the famous pizza in Chicago. It's a few notches below. Meanwhile, when in Nashville (or Franklin) it's more than acceptable. We tend to order two side salads, a deep dish pizza and ice teas and enjoy every bite. If this is the kind of meal you're after, a trip to the bar area (there's booths here, too), will treat you well. There's more beer on tap than you can drink, including a few local options, too. Honestly, we've never tried anything beyond salads and pizzas here because we've been smart enough not to. Old Chicago built it's chain status on deep dish pizza and simple salads. Order that and you'll likely return.

The only way to describe my experience would be with music and a slide show. But since I can't, I will put it into words. First, we walk in and are greeted by our tall bartender (Megan) she is an angel cat. She suggested great beers and was very knowledgeable on all the beer items! The pizza was perfect! And the jalapeño pretzel was delicious along with the cheese. I will be back every Wednesday night for the rest of my life. If you go to Old Chicago ask for Megan, tell her Aaron and Roland sent you, and you will be treated like royalty!

Awesome pizza!! Im not a nachos eater but the Italian Nachos are really good and 1 of a kind. The calamari is good as well. Going to have to go back and try the calzone'!

Pizza bar gets rave reviews from my wife. Spaghetti was not so much.meatball was undercooked and the $2.00 italian sausage was so dry and had the texture of eating a finger (im guessing). Have a look at the silverware before diving in. Waitress and manager made up for it by giving me a cookie ..only thing missing was the hug and the awww.see photo

We had a 30 minute wait but I found out why...the food was delicious! Ordered the cheese garlic bread and the Meat Me 8" pizza and let me tell you, I ate the whole thing. And I'm a little bitty 4"10 something but it was my cheat meal so I cheated!! It was so good... The service, however, was not. I should have caught our server's name but she should have been bussing tables, not serving customers. I had to tell her we needed appetizer plates with the appetizer; I had to tell her when my drink was low and she only came to check on us once the whole time we were there. I believe in tipping but she got the bare minimum. I plan to go back but I will request another seating area if I encounter her again.

I have never had the real thing from Chicago, so it is hard for me to comment on how close it is. The Deep pan was very good and tasty though. They put on the pizza a lot of fresh ingredients. I liked it and will try other pizza's again. We had the meat lover's type.

This is a terribly managed restaurant. The staff seems poorly trained and the management staff cares more about talking than actually doing there jobs. The food is decent, but not worth the hassle dealing with the staff and the wait time to get the food.

I really wanted to like this place... So first off they get 2 stars because pizza was decent, great location and they have amazing bacon dipper thingies. Since it was our first time and prices are super reasonable we started with the bacon jalapeño dipper things I'm sorry I don't remember what they were called. They're so good I may come back just to get them. They were also served with this yummy sweet and sour sauce. We also got fried pickles which were okay but I prefer the pickles sliced thin and it was so hot it burned the roof of my mouth. We ordered the Chicago 7 I think which is like a supreme pizza with regular crust. It was pretty good but I mean it reminded my fiancé and me of Pizza Hut so yeah... Now this is where it went downhill. It was Sunday so I understand it's busy but there were definitely enough servers they all just seemed extremely overwhelmed. I ordered a salad which never came. We ordered the apple dry rub wings and they tasted like just plain fried chicken with no seasoning what so ever. So we asked them to go ahead and toss them with original buffalo sauce and do a flash fry of 10-15 seconds to cook the sauce into the chicken so it won't be all drippy. 5 minutes later... Drippy nasty chicken... Sent back and just asked to please drop it in fryer for just 10-15 seconds so sauce will cook into it... 5 minutes later brought new set of wings with no sauce completely unseasoned... Am I having déjà vous? Me: Please sauce chicken and flash fry... Server: Well can't you just dip it in the sauce... Anyhow... I'm done with this review you get the gist...

Large selection of beer but most of the bars near it have great selections too. Food was ok but coming from Chicago and having real deep dish pizza this place is no where close. They use the correct pans to cook it but the pizza has a bunch of bread and no cheese unlike it's actually made up north. Defiantly got me in the door thinking I could get a taste of home but let me down with that. Pizza wasn't bad, just wasn't what I was expecting!

Simply delicious like every other time. You get your money's worth and always leave full. Usually there is a long wait but not tonight which is a bit unusual for a Friday night. Great Food, Great Beer Selection and Great Hospitality. Highly recommend.

Errrmerrgerrd pepperoni rolls, peppered bacon chicken Alfredo pizza & cookie sandwich! SO good. You can probably pass on the Italian nachos and cheese bread though. They aren't bad, but they aren't mind blowing. Great service too!

Strengths: Great pan pizza. Real pan pizza, not just thicker hand tossed like the competition. Tv's throughout the restaurant. Service is consistently friendly. Opportunities: Buffet lacks simple traditional pizzas. Not uncommon to see nothing but veggie, Hawaiian, and other unique pizzas. Great for adults, but could par a problem for kids who have the buffet. Summary: Top pizza place in Cool Springs. Top 5 in greater Nashville area.

Where should I start? 1.) Dine-in night #1 - Hair in the food on our very first visit. 2.) Take out pizza night #1 - pizza is raw...food is doughy, cold and mushy. 3.) Take out pizza night #2 - I was told it would be ready in 20 mins. I showed up at 25min. I'm told the pizza was "dropped in the kitchen" and they were remaking it. Total time spent waiting on this takeout was 20 mins before I got there, 30 mins after I arrived. Get home and the pizza was STILL raw. Manager tells me they "intentionally under cook the pizza to compensate for time spent under the heat lamp"...he suggests that I request my pizzas be cooked"well done" when ordering... 4.) Take out pizza night #3 - clearly specify I want the pizza "well done". Pizza is given to me raw...yet again. We wait another 20 minutes for them to run it back through the oven. 5.) Dine-in night #2 - Toppings on the pizza are wrong. When I draw this to their attention, the return to the kitchen and grab a handful of cold sausage to add. Disgusting. While I love their pizza when it's done CORRECTLY, I have no idea why I keep returning to this location. Their one, single plus is the beer selection...and that's only because you can't undercook beer. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Wanted to try something new. Had a buffet which allowed for a variety of pizza selection. Waitress was good as was service for us. Food tastes good but it did not sit well after the fact if u know what I mean. Lots of tvs to watch games etc.

We have eaten here several times and the wait staff is very nice and professional. My problem is with the time and actualy service of our food. It was early last Saturday (7/11/15) evening about 5:10 and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We placed our drink and appetizer order. The drinks came out, a bit slow but nothing terrible. We then odered our main meal. (Large pepperoni pizza with thin crust) the pizza came out in roughly 20-25 mins. (Not bad) the appetizer came out after the main meal. It was sent back. Now on to the the pizza; it was evident that it had sat under a heat lamp for sometime. I could tell because the outer third of the pizza was cold(not even warm)while the center was mouth scorching hot. Very disappointed in yhe restaurant on this one. The server was nice but not very attentive.

Great selection of draft beers and the quality of food is excellent. All of the food is prepared in-house and they're are some inventive options like the Italian nachos and the pizza rolls. The Chi-town and an 8" flat pizza were plenty for 2 of us. Our server was Gavin and he was really friendly and attentive. There was a 20 minute wait on Friday evening around 7:30

This place has so much potential, but the pizza isn't even close to Chicago quality. They cook it too hot in order to get it in the table sooner. If they want to market authentic Chicago style, cook it longer at a lower temp. The service is unreliable and sketchy.

Enormous kudos to Old Chicago -- Finally, deep dish Chicago-style pizza done right! Oh sweet bejeezus it was a dream of a pizza. I would marry it. Literally, I would marry this damn pizza, I loved it so much. Put a dress on it, give it a bouquet, whatever. My existing wife may complain about it, but I wouldn't care. I would gladly become old and grey with her and this pizza....retire with her and this pizza...perhaps live out the remainder of my years with her and this pizza, traveling the country in a large Winnebago. It was that damn good. Gastronomic bigamy aside, everything about our meal was absolutely perfect. Our server (name was Samson I think) was polite, and readily available despite a busy evening, and our food was served promptly. Top notch service! The atmosphere here is great, casual, even a little classy without being snooty at all. No screaming babies or aggravating music, no TVs blaring and bleating something no one wants to hear, let alone see. Prices are reasonable, the menu is diverse, and there is no feeling of being ignored or rushed. I cannot find any fault with this place. It defines perfect. ...and, pizza or not, my wife agrees. :)

It's a chain restaurant, not bad pizza, but not Chicago style either. They are in the trendy restaurant part of town, so they fit right in there. I would come back but would not go out of my way to do so. In summary Old Chicago is an OK place to eat, but is neither old, nor Chicago like. I wavered between 2 and 3 stars, but 2 won out.

Usually busy, with a great beer selection and the best local pizza. I really like their spinach and chicken deep dish with a local cold brew. Their salad which is similar, spinach, chicken and sun dried tomatoes is my favorite to accompany. Almost always very friendly and with better than average service.

We like the food. Waiting time is nuts. 30 min to get the appetizer out on a Monday night. Good server though.

I was initially excited to see this location open up. I've only ever experienced the Murfreesboro location before dining here. So my expectations were set high as the Murfreesboro location is top notch with fast service and great dishes. And now I can say I was extremely disappointed in both service and food. I even gave this place two more chances to wow me in case it was opening day jitters. Unfortunately it lacks in many areas compared to the other location and may never recover. The Bad: Service on a Monday afternoon, Thursday evening and Saturday night was awful. The wait time to be seated when seats were open was ridiculous. The wait time for an actual server was awful. And the wait time for food was the end all be all. I don't mind waiting for great food but when the food is mediocre at best, no thanks. Yes, the beer list is great but when you're here for food and beer I might as well head to a pub. The Ugly: What happened to the food from one location to the other? The food lacks seasoning and feels rushed or hurried to get out of the kitchen even though the wait time is on average forty minutes. The Even Uglier: I'm not painting a great picture here but to be honest I'd visit the other location.

The reason I give this place three stars is because with a name like "Old Chicago," I was expecting to get at least something that resembled Chicago-style pizza. That is the most disappointing thing I encountered on my first visit. I guess have been spoiled by having been to Chicago and experienced the real deal. The pizza here is deep dish, but mostly bread, and it is baked with the sauce on the bread topped with cheese and toppings. I was hoping for lots and lots of cheese, topped with toppings and the sauce on top. So totally bummed out about that. However, this place still has a lot going for it which keeps up coming back. They have a good bear selection, a nice bar area to catch a game, and other solid menu items, including the appetizers and salads. The Oh My Spaghetti Pie is amazing, but I've only ordered it once due to the fact that I know I'd die if I saw the calorie count of the dish! The pizza is still pretty good, just not really true Chicago style. The service is definitely hit or miss as well. I understand that sometimes food may be slow coming out, but poor attentiveness of the staff is never acceptable. Multiple times our server has completely forgot something I've asked for (an extra side of dressing, missing utensil, refills, etc).

If I could rate the food and the waitress separately I would. The pizza was really good as always but the waitress needed improving. She wasn't really that friendly, and about 2 minutes after we got our pizza she came back with our check. How does she know my girlfriend didn't want another beer? I really doubt she's psychic. Other than that everything in the restaurant was good and the rest of the staff seems really friendly.

Solid restaurant! My wife and I have been here a few times since their opening and I always enjoy it. They have several high definition TVs around the bar and we watched Sunday night football there. It's much easier to really watch a game like that with sound when compared to Jonathan's or Wild Wing Cafe. The food is very good. The Chicago style pizza is about half as thick as the real thing. I'd say that is probably a positive. I love Giordano's, but I can only handle it about once every other year. They also have some excellent appetizers and I've enjoyed everything I've tried so far (although I usually stick to the pizza). They have a 'World Beer Tour' card that you can sign up for when you visit. It just keeps track of what you drink there and gives prizes along the way (somewhat similar to Flying Saucer). I had my tenth beer there yesterday and they gave me a deck of cards. The beer list also has a portion that rotates. There are some excellent craft beers and local stuff like Turtle Anarchy. Beer snobs will like this place for that reason. The price for food here is a bit above average. You can easily hit $40 per couple. However, it is a really good place to eat.

Love this place. While not anything supremely special, the food and pizza are solid. Obviously I didn't come in to this place expecting something based on the name like many other reviewers did, I came because I had a coupon...but the beer and the service have kept me coming back. Every time we've eaten there we've sat at the bar and the bar tender is above and beyond. Knowledgeable about the food and more importantly has excellent taste in beer which is important to this beer lover.

To be completely honest, I wasn't that impressed with this place. I felt somewhat mislead by the title of the restaurant. I came here with the thought that I would get a "real" taste of Chicago-style pizza. Being that I am originally from Chicago, I'm very experienced in what Chicago-style pizza should taste like. I did not get that here. This pizza is more similar to a Pizza hut or Papa Johns than that of a true Chicago-Style pizza restaurant. Their deep dish pizza was a normal size pizza. The sauce wasn't that good and wasn't on the top of the pizza like Chicago pizza is. The pizza tasted fine but definitely was not what I expected. The service was good though and there were several tv's there to watch the games (which I definitely enjoyed). If you are looking for pizza place that is slightly above your local Pizza Hut, this is your place. If you are looking for Chicago-Style Pizza look somewhere else.

I would give this place 4 stars but I don't think our server liked us too much. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of staying in Franklin when I'm on my work trips, simply because there isn't that much around. Fortunately I'm fairly new to anything in Tennessee so most of the chain concepts in the area are new to me and I want to try everything. Some time between the last time I was in Franklin a month ago to my most recent trip, Old Chicago popped and none of us (even the Tennessee natives) had gone to it yet so off we went. There were a group of 6 of us going in for pizza on a Tuesday afternoon at about 12:00PM. This place was PACKED, and they said that what they had was currently considered slow. I can only imagine what it would be like normally. So we got a nice big booth for the six of us and honestly, we're not a rowdy group, we just work a lot and I know it's irritating trying to get our attention when some of us are on our work phones emailing away but please don't let your irritation show clearly on your face. It just makes us feel so unwelcome. You're in hospitality. Make it hospitable. Anyhow, we ordered a large meat me pizza, Italian nachos, 10 buffalo wings, and soup. The Italian nachos were AMAZINGLY good. I mean...we're all kinda cautious about what we eat but we gobbled those up quickly. The sausage, cheese, peppers...YUM! Definitely worth a try! Our soups came out in two different sized bowls even though we all ordered the same thing...they were all filled to the same part of the bowl but one bowl was smaller and our server tried to tell us they had the same amount of soup in each bowl. Hmmm...okay then. Pizza was phenomenal, lots and lots of meat. As one of my co-workers said "So greasy...I love it!" Oddly enough I really liked the wings (I'm typically okay with them) as they weren't over sauced and they were still crispy with great flavor. I have no idea how much the bill was but it was pretty darn good. If I'm looking for pizza in Franklin, this is definitely a place I would consider coming to.

Ordered the pesto chicken macaroni. Took forever to get and then had to complain about the fact that the cook forgot the chicken! It took forever so I didn't want to wait for a new one. Next time I'll make the right decision and go to chipotle next door.

I went here because I was too tired from a business trip to go any further from my hotel. WOW am I glad I did. I had a garlic lover's pizza (which was incredible) and buffalo wings that were out of this world. Cameron, the server saw that I loved the wings so much that he got me an extra side of sauce. He was an outstanding server and actually made the experience all that much better. I'm a retail sales trainer and this kid was incredible! Great service, great food (extremely tasty) - you have to try it, and this from someone who eats everywhere - this is the best place in a long time. Way to go Old Chicago and give Cameron a raise!!

We come here often and the classic pizza is AWESOME. Great cold beers and we love sitting in the bar area. Have had one experience when they undercooked my pizza but they handled the situation well. Just don't order apps or anything else just stick to pizza and beer.

We called the week before eh opened and were invited to the soft opening. So, the place was triple staffed with corporate trainers and managers. Everyone was doing a great job, providing attentive service and making sure things went smoothly. The menu was a limited selection of the normal menu, to help get the staff familiar with the signature items. In the interest of full disclosure, the food was free and beer was pay with proceeds going to charity. We sampled a few pizzas. All were good, not quite as deep as I would expect a Chicago pizza to be - more like a Pizza Hut thickness. But I'm not a big fan of really thick, so not bad to me. The rest of the family was also satisfied with their selections. The real menu had plenty of options to give everyone something to choose from, inluding lots of non pizza items. Most importantly, my kids were happy playing the buzz time trivia while we waited, and happy with the food options available to them. Old Chicago has done a great job of providing a number of local and regional craft and import beers with sampling options at reasonable prices. There is something he for every beer fan. Sure, it's a chain, but better than average and a very comfortable place to eat.

This was our first time to this location of Old Chicago. We were at a hotel close buy and wanted some late night pizza to go. The girl bartender was super friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The food was delicious, as always. Everything was prepared as expected and ready right on time!

The food was sub par. Typical chain type sports bar where the food "is what it is". The pizza (deep dish) was awful, nothing about it taste good. If you like a toasted thick bread then maybe it's for you. Ordered it w/hamburg and onion, not real sure if any toppings were visible?? Would not order the caprese salad again either. Blahk! Someone in my party had a bacon cheeseburger and said it was good. I will not go back. Lots of TV's if your looking to watch a game.

We walked in right before closing on a slow night and without hesitation, Megan and AJ welcomed us. And I'm so glad they did.. DELICIOUS pizza! Cold beer. Big win!

Chicago style? Not even close bud. This is PIzza Hut thick...didn't even go 1/2 way up the side of the pan...and tastes just like PIzza Hut. I knew we were in trouble when our order showed up in less than 10 minutes...the real stuff takes 30-45 at any reputable pizza place in the windy city. As others have mentioned, the tomato sauce was under the cheese...no chunk tomato here. 2 stars only b/c beer selection was solid and service was very good.

Underwhelming. Bad experience from the front door, where the takeout customers and those waiting for a table have to intermingle which is confusing and crowded. It was Sunday night and not that crowded, but the dining area seemed "undone" - just everything slightly askew. Our table was sticky, which I hate. The waitstaff has perfected the art of walking by without eye contact, with the exception of one delightful flower who literally threw sets of silverware at us when we pointed out she had brought us salads that we would have to eat with our hands. Four of our party got our meals, pizza, calzone, and a spaghetti pie, but the port fifth person did not get his calzone....20 minutes later it came. A manager came to apologize and say she would "check on it, which was appreciated, except SHE NEVER CAME BACK. The food was ordinary at best. The marinara sauce is bland and sweet tasting, my kingdom for the bite of garlic and spices. They did take the late calzone off the bill, but it was too little too late. There are many other options within 3 miles....I suggest you scout them out.

Great beer list, with a decent selection of rotating and seasonal taps. Haven't tried many of the appetizers, but the garlic cheese bread and the pizza rolls are tops. I've really enjoyed the pizza so far and the salads aren't bad either. Super busy on weekend nights for sure, but last time we went we showed up at noon on Sunday and it was perfect. If it's busy, grab a seat at the bar and feel free to order dinner there without waiting for a table. Good happy hour deals and I hear the buffet is a great option.

We are in love with Old Chicago. The food is great and the service is equally great. But the real treat is the Happy Hour menu. From 4 pm until 7 pm and then there is another one that starts later at 9 or 10 pm. They have a nice selection of small portions for $3.00, $3.25, and $3.50. A small individual size two topping pizza, an order of 3 of their pepperoni rolls, regular nachos (so so), or Italian nachos which are a nice twist on nachos. There are quite a few more but these tend to be the ones we have tried or have become our regulars. A good selection of beers, sports on the tvs along with the online trivia and your set. Get there early before the crowd and enjoy a nice meal.

A few months back as I was driving through Cool Springs I finally saw the sign of Old Chicago and realized that this was the new restaurant that was replacing the former Asian restaurant. I could tell there was a major renovation taking place, but could not tell who was moving in. I was so excited to see Old Chicago was coming to Cool Springs! My work travels had taken me to many places where I was able to enjoy Old Chicago. They're in the same brand/family as Rock Bottom Brewery & Big River.....and a handful of other concepts. Rock Bottom and Old Chicago are definitely my favorites from this brand! They just opened to the public yesterday and I'm trying not to feel hurt that I did not get invited to any of the soft openings, but at least I was able to go on the second day! I ordered two food items, the first was a Jalapeno Pretzel with a cheese dipping sauce. Incredible. Simply incredible. The Jalapeno taste was subtle but definitely present. It was not hot, but very flavorful. The cheese sauce I could have eaten with a straw! I ordered a deep dish 8 inch personal pizza as well, called the Chicago 7. The pizza sauce was perfect for my taste! It was full of delicious toppings that all had vibrant and complimentary tastes. It's one I will order again for sure. As is the case with most new openings, there was an over abundance of servers, managers, trainers and patrons on hand. I had several people come by to make conversation, ask how my food was and to invite me back. It was the right balance for an opening week. But I believe they'll go crazy if there are always five people behind the bar and managers standing in every nook and cranny. But you could tell they are dedicated to making this opening week a success. The places is decked out in pictures of Chicago, which is always fun seeing the places I've visited on trips there. It has a very comfortable feel to it. I've eaten and many different Old Chicago locations - and it's always been a great experience so I'm pumped they have come to town! Welcome to Cool Springs, I'm glad you're here!

There everything is so good if you are in the mood for nothing healthy. Alfredo with chicken is amazing. There pizza is killer. Lasagna is amazing. Desserts are outstanding. Get the point? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

Misleading label POSITIVE: +Tasty ass pizza! +Tasty ass pizza. IN BETWEEN: -/+Busy as fuck... then again it was new NEGATIVE: -There's nothing Chicago about this pizza. Place had my hopes up for entirely too long while it was being built. I thought I was finally gonna get some decent deep dish. BOTTOM LINE: When you come to the unfortunate realization that the place is just CALLED Old Chicago and you're just eating run of the mill pizza, you realize that it's good, but you just spent double what the chains charge. It's good, but not THAT good.

Usually this place is spot on. Tonight my personal pizza was undercooked and had to be sent back. The Bears were beating the Steelers so that makes up for many things. The bartender had a terrible memory and kept asking everyone what they ordered which a little distracting. Overall it was just ok.

Would have given zero stars if possible...couldn't even try the food. Went in on a whim tonight and the restaurant was nearly empty. We were sat at a table near the bar and waited approximately 10 minutes, but no one ever came to our table. A waitress was up front at the hostess station texting...who knows, maybe she was our waitress. We just left. At least they told to have a good night on our way out.

Food is ok. Service SUCKS. Way to slow. For a lunch service should be somewhat decent and speedy. Not the case here. Waitress is not good with multi tasking. I will rethink to bringing the family back. Might be good for a two person order but for four folks. Forget it. First impression is this place is not good with service.

I'm a huge fan of Guinness and on my last trip to London I learned all about the porter and how it should be poured, it's specific gravity, proper serving glass etc. Marisa the bartender was the first person who gave me the correct Guinness experience in the Tennessee. It was great! They have an amazing selection of beers and the food is unbelievable, especially if you like quality comfort food. It was a great environment and if you are looking for a place that has some noise but isn't debilitating to a conversation, then you'll enjoy it here. The servers were friendly and engaging and overall I'd love to go back.

I was actually quite surprised by how good this place was. I had previously been to their location in Clarksville years ago, and my experience there was ho-hum. Wanting to give them another chance, I went to this, newer, location with a friend. For less than $10 we both got strombolli lunch specials and they were awesome. I got a sausage strombolli with onions and big chunks of perfectly seasoned sausage. The fries were also very good and not over seasoned or to greasy. And then their was dessert. While I had ordered a cherry cobbler with ice cream, the waitress actually brought me their chocolate chip cookie, with ice cream, instead. I was not disappointed though, as the cooking was warm and delicious, though I could have done with more ice cream. All in all, I was quite impressed with the quality and service I got. I truly can't complain. Moreover, that strombolli I had was filled with amazing cheesy goodness.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
