How does this place get good ratings??. I moved here from the Northeast and had lunch today. We had Gyros (hardly any meat), sandwiches with literally a slice of cheese and a slice of lunch meat. If you were a deli in NY it is no wonder you left NY, because you went out of business!! Sorry guys, but you don't even come close to representing a NY/NJ style deli. Nice people, but even subway kicks your ass which is not good. You won't or shouldn't be around long.

Always friendly, clean, and quick. Foods great too! I eat here at least ice a week and have never had a bad experience. Keep up the great work!

Thus was my first visit (Tuesday during lunch ~1pm). Greeted with a smile as soon as I approached the counter (owner?). Got the gyro platter with tabouli and cucumber salads as sides and chose the cucumber sauce - the platter also comes with rice. The tabouli appeared to be freshly chopped/prepared and had a light, refreshing flavor. The gyro was good and the cucumber sauce added the right amount of flavor to round out the taste. Everything had just the right amount of flavor to complement each item, with NOT too much of any one ingredient to overpower the other items. Overall, good food and a good experience - I will eat here again.

Excellent Gyro platter and Philly Cheese steak. The Taramsu was beyond delicious. The owner is from New York and was very nice and friendly. Great place to grab lunch.

This is my favorite gyro shop. I always get the chicken platter which is made healthy with a great quality chicken. Everything is alway fresh. Owner and staff are always friendly and run a great operation. Highly recommend if you are craving Greek food!

Decent Gyro, same ingredients as everybody else uses. The real kicker is at the register, the Dad (I assume) like to charge $1.50 for a single slice of cheese, granted it's Boars Head but, $1.50. The daughter charges $50 for a slice of cheese, so try to get the daughter to ring you up. The old man is sneaky!!!! Last Visit.

Nice, clean place. I ordered the NYDeli sub. This sandwich was super thin. I could have went to Jersey Mikes and got twice as much for the same price.

Great place to grab lunch and have a gyro. I've driven by it for years and never stopped in, and now I've been 3 times in the last 2 weeks! Clean atmosphere, family run, and great stop for lunch. I'll be going back again for sure.

Awesome cheese steaks! The bread makes the entire sandwich. Staff is always super friendly. Frequently give kids a free cookie. Also, they remember and acknowledge their repeat customers. Go for a bite and enjoy!!!

I am on a continuing, now 20+ year quest for the best gyro. I hope the doesn't end any time soon. Had to write, though, because my second gyro from New York Deli confirmed what my first had indicated: New York Deli has taken the lead as the best gyro I've ever eaten. This is monumental stuff.

It's always packed at lunch for good reason. The gyros and chicken platters are full of meat, rice is fluffy, and salads are fresh. All you can ask for.

Oh my, yes! Visited today and had a ham, provolone, tomato with mayo. So simple and sooo delicious. For the first time in my life I actually tasted provolone in something and it was good. The bread is amazing. The slice the meats and cheese right on the spot, thankyouverymuch. And they had cookies. AND they had delightful people working there. AND there tabouli even looked pretty tasty...this from someone who cannot stand Greek food! Will definitely be back, and with my husband who loves Greek food but hates sandwiches. Thank you New York Deli for being a match made in heaven for us!

As someone who originated from the NY area, I am a big fan of NY delis. This one falls short. It should be named Gyro Deli since the focus leans towards Mediterranean food once you're inside. Sandwich choices are basic, though meat ingredients are high-quality Boar's Head variety. I'm sure the gyros are good, though I didn't go for a Greek sandwich. Cost is a little high for what you get. I think Jersey Mike's offers an equally good sub sandwich. There just isn't anything stand-outish about this place. Maybe the Greek offerings are better.

Boar's Head Meats & Cheeses - cut to order like your favorite deli. Nice baguettes - crispy on the outside, chewy inside. Variety of sandwiches or you can go with the gyro/chicken/meditteranean items. My kids went sandwiches, I went mixed gryo/chicken platter. Greek plate was a big amount of food - enjoyed it. Kids meal sandwich looked a little small to me, but the kids ate every bite and enjoyed their cookie, too. Nice big place, free wi-fi, very quiet on a Tuesday night around dinner time. Guessing this is more of a lunch location, but don't be afraid to stop by in the evenings. I should mention the place is spotless clean. The gentlemen working there have a tremendous amount of pride in the store. Good stuff. You've been to Subway how many times? Support your local business!

I ordered their largest sandwich - the $13 "NY Deli Special". It was the skinniest layer of meat I have ever seen on a sandwich. I had to take it apart to verify it had all the meat. It didn't taste bad, but it was a rip off.. The people are really nice and I'm sure their Greek food is good, but Greek food isn't what I was looking for at "New York Deli."

I eat a lot of sandwiches, and this is one of the better deli sandwiches I've had (excluding the great italian delis). Great meat (boars head), the bread is a good consistency, quick service, clean restaurant...great place for lunch. Just be careful bc if you ask for mayo or dressing, they really load it on.

Gyro plate is tasty and service is always friendly.

Not sure what people like about this place. If I want a sandwich, I'd rather go to Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's or Lenny's an if I want a gyro, I'll go wherever is closest because it seems like they all use the same ingredients.

Friendly owner remembers me, even if I haven't been there in a while. I enjoy a warm welcome in a restaurant. Food is great. Get the gyro, it's a generous size and fresh. The only drawback is the restaurant gets loud around lunch when it's busy. Simple solution though=takeout.
