Surprisingly was very good. The chips and salsa were pretty good- which is always a key part of a mexican restaurant for us. I ordered the Enchiladas suizas and they were delicious and pretty cheap- 3 enchiladas and beans and rice for $9. Kids got nachos with chicken and tacos- they really enjoyed those as well. We will be back.

I love fish tacos and salsa verde. La Hacienda has some of the best!! The staff is great and my family and I enjoy our meal each time we go. We had not been there since they moved to their new location some years ago. We have been there twice in the past few weeks, the food has been excellent, especially the fish tacos and salsa verde from the salsa bar. Only four stars b/c their iced tea could be better.

The salsa is spicy but no depth or flavor. The chips meh. Overall, no flavor. If you want a plate of food that basically tastes like iceberg lettuce go for it. If you are okay with everything being covered in cheese to hide the lack of flavor this place might be for you. My search for edible Mexican food in TN continues. I'm sure they mean well but sorry I cannot give this place thumbs up. The service however was just fine. Its the food thats the problem here.

I always say that I have never been misled by yelp. So, I was very apprehensive when my friend suggested this place. I was very pleasantly surprised! The margaritas and Tampequeña were delicious! Can't wait to go back!!!

The worst Mexican food in town, complemented by the worst service of any restaurant in town.

Food is ok. Good draft beer selection. Service needs some serious work. we sat at the bar for 5 min without being acknowledged. We got up and left. Not the first time either.

La Hacienda used to be fantastic, but in the past couple of years, the service has gone from okay to terrible. Last week, I went with my family for dinner. Mexican food, I mean, what can go wrong? We got there and were directed to a booth - there were several open tables away from the booth with the loud talking woman and the screaming kids, but we went to our booth reluctantly. And we sat. And sat. And sat. After about 15 minutes, someone came over to ask how everything was. If there was an audible version of "?????", we made it...and finally made our drink order. When we were finally able to order, we sat again...my mom and sister's food was brought out...but I just sat...and sat...and sat...and sat. And as they finished, I still sat. No employees in sight. Finally I got my tacos, which were good, but...I mean, come on, how hard is it to bring everyone's food out at the same time for the same table? They asked if we wanted dessert...yeah, no thanks, La Hacienda.

Somehow this place has become our Thursday night hangout. I guess we try to eat at home all week & by Thursday we want a break! And this place is very close to where we live so that definitely helps. I've read other people's reviews & I can totally understand their comments. This is just one of those places where you really have to know what to order. We almost always shy away from the standard Mexi-hut fare & have been quite pleased. About what we do order....their house margarita isn't anything special, so we always order margaritas with 1800 which are great (they are only $5 and some change, which is an awesome price by the way). And we always sit in the bar area & get wonderful service. Seriously - most of the bar service staff know who we are & come over to say hello whenever we're there. Now that we have discovered how insanely good their wings are, we order them every time! If you order them with the sauce on the side, they are deliciously crispy, and you can dip in the sauce as you like. I also like to get them with the sauce on, as they are still crispy enough & are very spicy. The sauce is not a typical buffalo sauce. It is spiced Mexican-style with what tastes like allspice. No matter what it is, it is delicious. My husband usually orders the carne asada, but also sometimes opts for the traditional taco which is not on the menu. It really surprises me because that's one of our favorites! It's very simple but good - corn tortilla, meat, cilantro, onion, and a wedge of lime. Very good. I usually order a burrito with a side of rice. The burritos are really good - I like their sauce because it is spiced just a bit different. Their rice is really good too...always cooked & seasoned correctly, with a bit of veggies. Are you going to have mind-blowing food here? No. But you can get spectacular service, good food (when you know what to order), and good margaritas - all for a really reasonable price. Tip - if you like trivia (which I've noticed is a big think among Franklinites), then come here on Thursdays. They are always well-prepared with all the bar area tables pulled together in groups. And get there early - before 6:00 - to get a good seat!

I hang out here WAY to much for how much I hate this place. If it wasn't across from the horse show, i would NEVER step inside...but alas it's within walking distance so here I go. Beer, cold, cheap, and fine Margaritas, they suck Food, eh, it's ok, not great, but I stick to cheesy goo and a simple quesedilla most of the time. I have had some of the dinners and was not impressed, but it's food if your hungry. I have had noting to do with pork or beef here so I can only speak for the veggie and shrimp stuff. I had a shrimp Quesidilla last night at it was fine. Service, bar is good, tables can be awful. Now for the one thing that really pissed us off. We had a B-day over there, one of the guys gave the bartender an 100.00 bill and said, first rounds are on me, after that they pay. Long story short, he pocketed the money, lies that he ever got it, and I got stuck with a massive bar tab. I figured the 100.00 could be the lying bastards tip. If your drinking there pay as you go, your tab will be wrong pretty much every time. That being said....with the right crowd we have had some good times there, and most of the time they are great......however their location is the only reason we keep going back. FYI friday is teeny bopper Kareoke night, who lets there tweenies stay at a bar after 10pm...seriously

Never know why we even bother (expensive & there are so many better options these days). Just found out about Pueblo Real about 5 minutes away which was a whole lot better food (read: not greasy) & the service was uber-friendly.

We discovered their Sunday lunch buffet. We were surprised at how much we liked this place. The food was great and the service was great. Will be going back.

with so, so many other mexican options in franklin, SKIP this one. food is very bland, minimal, and downright disgusting-- and i am not a picky eater. I can't find anything on the menu that i like- and that is saying a LOT! to give you an example: i ordered fish tacos. what i got was a cold flour tortilla with unseasoned grilled fish on it with no seasonings or garnishing. skip this one

First time at La Ha and very disappointed. Poor service. Waiter took my glass of water for a refill and my son's glass of lemonade for a refill. The waiter switched glasses and I got water flavored with lemonade and my son got watery lemonade. The food was subpar. The enchillada sauce was basically tomato sauce with no heat at all. In fact it was very sickly sweet. Very poor experience.

This is the nicest La Ha that I have ever been to. Like almost all Mexican restaurants they have a good vegetarian selection. The beans are a little too smokey for me but everything else was good. Although it was my first experience to be served by someone on a cell phone. But it wasn't our waiter, just someone helping, and we heard him be firmly reprimanded afterward. I think anyway... It was in Spanish.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
