Joe Natural’s Menu

Really enjoyed the food. I had a burger and it was juicy, not greasy. Tons of flavor. Tomato, cheese and whatever spread was on it all blended together nicely. Girlfriend got veggies and also thought they were very well prepared. Would give it 5 stars except for fact it was pretty slow getting appetizer and then longer for the entrees. You're not getting in and out of here in an hour even if it's not busy. Also it was cold I'm the restaurants all patrons around us still had their coats on. Food was def 5 star worthy though.

Super delicious, but when they say it takes a really long time to get your food, they're not joking. It takes close to an hour. So just don't go there hungry!

Lunching al fresco in Leiper's Fork sounded like a quaint way to kick off the our wedding anniversary celebration so my husband and I went to Joe Natural's. This was our first time at this restaurant and when we arrived, Paul, the owner, told me about the concept - farm to table, homemade everything, etc. He also mentioned that it wasn't fast food and asked if that was okay with us. It was so my husband and I chose a seat outside. We ordered the bacon cheese burger ($13) and the lamby burger ($14). It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food to arrive. When Paul said it wasn't fast food, I was expecting 30, maybe 45 minutes tops. Definitely not 1 hour and 20 minutes. The other two tables who sat outside near us around the same time also had to wait as long or longer than we did. As an apology for the wait, the waitress brought free snacks to the other tables, which was nice, but not to our table, which was not nice. I wish I could say the food was worth the wait but it really wasn't. The bacon cheese burger was missing the bacon and was served on grilled bread (more like a panini/sandwich). The lamby burger came served on a tortilla (I think the order was put in as a wrap, not a burger). Both meals were good but nothing to really wow us, especially for the price. The service was also just okay. Our waitress was friendly but not particularly attentive or on top of things. My husband's drink was empty for about 20 minutes. After receiving our meals, we then had to wait for utensils and napkins. She also didn't come back to ask us how the meal was until after we finished eating. I wanted to love this place but unfortunately it just didn't do it for me. We probably wouldn't eat here again.

What I liked: 1. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time- so fresh and delicious! I got the BLAT and it was very tasty - the bacon was especially delicious 2. The basil lemonade popsicle- so refreshing 3.The service and story- Our waitress McKenna was terrific and even better is that they farm all of their ingredients 4 miles down the road from their farm. What I didn't like: 1. I only wish they had greater supply- they were out of cake by the time we ate (3pm)- go early! 2. Please serve Dinner! Right now, they are open Fri-Sun for lunch (they are farming the other days). The Verdict: We plan to be regulars at this great, off the beaten path find.

Food amazing, service amazing, people so friendly, interesting and amazing. The whole experience there was one to remember. And definitely makes you want to return again. The bread board is a meal on it's own. Can not wait to introduce it to friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful end to our Nashville weekend!!

Such a cute place in Leiper's Fork! If you're visiting Franklin, take the extra few minutes to drive through here. It's awesome! The food is all locally grown and so tasty! And they have all kinds of cakes and cookies and honey and jams!! Yum!

Healthy, handmade, delicious. Friendly place. But--the restrooms need a good cleaning and a coat of paint. I will return.

I'm disappointed that we took so long to find this place! The staff was attentive and the food was fresh and excellent. The restaurant has a laid back vibe.

Joe Natural's is fantastic find off the beaten path in Lieper's Fork. Like anything in historic "downtown" (do like 10 buildings count as a downtown?) Lieper's Fork, the smiles inside the doors at Joe Natural's welcome you into the cozy spot like you are being welcomed home. The outside of the building matches the charm of Lieper's Fork and is old and historic, but on the inside the decor tries to maintain a taste of history on the quirky and odd side. It's fun. They are available for Farm to table freshness for lunch only on weekdays and weekends. Additionally, they are available to be booked for private parties. When you go into Joe's, you will be delighted by the choices of sandwiches (hot or cold), homemade soups, and burgers. If you are a Celiac, you will also love the fact that they have gluten free bread upon which any sandwich or the burger can be served. Since I had a burger for lunch, let's talk burgers. Cooked to perfection from a cow that was fed wholesome things and basked in the glory of the farm until it was his/her time to become my burger. The amenities that you can get on the side are avocados, mushrooms, goat cheese, american cheese, cheddar cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and a couple of more I cannot remember from memory. My delicious medium cooked burger of perfection had avocado, goat cheese, lettuce, red onion, and some mushrooms. All farm fresh, and all adding to the greatness of my burger on gluten free bread. I also had the soup of the day which was a chicken and white bean chili soup. It was flavorful enough, but maybe not quite hot enough with spice. I would have liked a little more kick, personally. But, the flavor was there. As a drink, I had Joe's water which is water infused with lime, cucumber, and something else I cannot recall. It doesn't matter. You should get this. For dessert, our table got an order of one each of the three cakes served today: strawberry, chocolate, and carrot cake. Given that there was none left, I am going to say all were enjoyed. Definitely find this place worth the drive and on par with city farm to table places like Silly Goose. Give it a try!

Wow! What an amazing place! I love the farm to table concept and the food is perfection. The staff is great and really treats you like family. This is by far my favorite place!

In the heart of Leipers Fork, "Joe", formerly a hedge fund guy from Long Island, runs a farm to table restaurant. Open for lunch, it's a great alternative to shall we say less healthy options down the street. Their shop is uber cute. But why not 4 stars? Because the service is just middling. While I do want to enjoy my time at the place, I need someone to check back more than every 15 minutes. The rest of us still have either day jobs or someplace we need to be. Tried it out last night for dinner - they've just started this. My chicken was good ($23) ; my friend's steak ($30) was very good according to him. Best to me were the rolls. Dinner menu a tad too narrow; need to slap on a daily burger and a true vegan option i.e. lasagna heaped with cheese doesn't count.

Great news!!! Joe's is now open for breakfast. Breakfast at Joe's is a authentic farm to table experience you don't want to miss. The coffee, sausage, bacon knots, farm fresh eggs, sausage gravy, pancakes, and the BREAD is all freaking amazing. No detail is missed; there is even homemade jelly and fresh honey on the table for their absolutely amazing fresh baked bread. This past weekend they offered a breakfast special of either a meat or a vegetable fertada. I chose the meat and it was outstanding. I have been back every day this week and experienced the three generation receipt of sausage gravy and fresh biscuits. I realize it's only flour, water and sausage but this is a must order as you are in for a treat. The sausage biscuits are over the top as well and for all those pancake fans, they have tweaked their pancakes to absolute perfection and there is even fresh maple syrup to further raise the experience. This place will certainly be on the very top of your favorites for breakfast!

Joe's Natural is a great choice if you find yourself in the richest poor little country town in Middle Tennessee -especially if you don't want to eat in a gas station or the Country Boy has an entire country's worth of people waiting to get in. Joe's Natural serves probably the most (forgive me) natural burger you'll have in Nashville - I was told Joe uses all cuts from the Hereford in his burger, so you've got sirloin and filet in the meat. That makes for a burger unlike most of the ones you'll taste anywhere else. I highly recommend it. Next time I eat there, though, I'll eat outside. Probably fewer flies bothering me that way. And the service, while enthusiastic, is erratic and almost comically confused.

Joe Natural's is one of our all time finds when traveling! I read the article in Country Living magazine but somehow missed the picture and information on Joe Natural's?? So it was even a greater treat to fall through their front door and be greeted in such a friendly manner by none other than Joe himself, his son Mike and others. The food is AWESOME we ordered the chicken salad sandwich & the turkey with cranberry sandwich both were outstanding. We had the organic tomatoes which tasted like candy, and the strawberry cake for dessert this cake is out of this world. The atmosphere at Joe's invites other dining there to strike up random conversations which we did with two other tables (this is not common for us) good food has a way of bringing people together. If you go to Leiper's Fork which I highly recommend you do you MUST go to Joe Natural's don't even waste your time & money at anyone of the other eating establishments in this little town. Leiper's Fork is truly a special place on Earth and Joe Natural's supports the specialness of this town. Hope to return one day soon.

Organic quinoa salad with vegis right-off-the-farm... in Tennessee?!!? After 1,000 miles of roadtrip eating heavy, greasy food, this was a godsent. I believe they're only open for lunch Wednesday through Sunday. Well worth the trip to eat well! The staff were happy and kind. There's a cute little shop up front where you can buy organic, gluten-free trail mixes, desserts, etc. Great find!

It was a beautiful...scratch that...gorgeous Sunday morning. My husband and I were in Franklin, and ready for some brunch. After calling up the Yelp app, and looking through my bookmarks, Joe Natural's was the winner. I didn't realize it was in Leiper's Fork, but again, a gorgeous day...we were up for the drive. When we pulled up at 11:05, the sign said "closed". But I was pretty sure I saw a couple sitting outside, dining. We weren't sure where to park, and noticed a little drive that ran next to the "house" (restaurant). So we pulled down the drive and found a space in the back. (Still not sure if this is where to park as the spaces are rather limited.) As we walked onto the front porch, a woman warmly greeted us through the screen door. We confirmed they were open, and were invited to "C'mon in!". The front room houses items for purchase. From local skin balms to local farm perishables. Although there is a small dining room indoors, and a side patio with two round tables with umbrellas, we opted to sit out back at one of the four picnic tables to soak up some sun. Our server (Deborah?) promptly brought us some sort of veggie crispy snack (kinda like dried veggies, yet in sticks) and menus. The waters took a few minutes. My husband didn't care for the veggie sticks, but he couldn't stop eating them either. I on the other hand, thought they were delicious. The water was infused with something... Whatever it was, it was really good. Even served in a compostable cup too. Everything on the fairly small menu looked decadent. We certainly had a hard time deciding. I settled for a veggie sandwich, and my husband order a half Rueben and the Asian salad. We waited quite some time for our food, and we knew we where only one of two tables present. Luckily, the atmosphere and the sun were great distractions. The veggie sandwich was quite delicious, and came with a side of pasta salad. I didnt care much for the pasta salad, but still ate every bite of it. The Asian salad was the real winner. Incredibly good and undeniably fresh as it gets. The restaurant picked up pace as we ate our meal, so the service really slowed to a crawl. Again, the atmosphere certainly made us very patient. We purchased several local eats from the front before heading back to Franklin. I can't wait to go back and try something new.

I am happier just walking into Joes. The food is great, the cake (hummingbird especially - YUM!) is delicious, the pickles and jams and other sundries are wonderful. The owner has a great story and is a friendly conversationalist. I just love it at Joes!

I ADORE this place. I've lived in TN for over 10 years, and have now moved away, but every time I visit- I always stop here...sometimes for the fresh veggies...and sometimes for the crazy good carrot cake :)

I feel like Joe Natural's is often overlooked in Leiper's Fork, which is unfortunate because they offer one of the best meals in town! You can't go wrong with anything off of their menu. The owner is amazing, such a fun little place!

If you don't like crazy fresh food...stop reading now. Joe Naturals in Leapers Fork is amazing. If you haven't made the drive down to this area, you need to add this to your Nashville area to-do list. Leapers Fork is a great little spot. Some interesting local shops, and Joe Naturals! I'm not going to recommend anything on the menu, because everything that I have ever had there, has been awesome. Everything that they serve, comes from the farm right down the street. And you can really taste the difference. When my girlfriend and I were in there, we had the pleasure of talking with the owner, Paul. No, his name is not Joe. Its Paul. He's a really nice guy, and the story of how he ended up in Nashville with a farm is really interesting. If you don't have plans next weekend, make the trip down to Leapers Fork and stop by Joe Naturals for some mighty fine fixins.

What a delightful find! You cannot go wrong here with anything! And the gentleman who own's Joe Natural's (Joe, I assume) is a very interesting guy to chat with for awhile. We'll be back!

This place was recommended at the place we were staying at. It's only open for lunch so you can imagine the menu is a bit limited but given it's all food made on the organic farm is a big selling point for me. The owner 'Joe', gave us the brief on how the food is made and I was sold on the burger with cheese. Which was small, but a thick juicy beef patty all the same and more than enough. The quinoa salad was also amazing. Check out the shop after, the gluten free choc chip cookies are to sure for, moist and chewy, with plenty of choc chips in them, yum!

I really enjoyed my food. It was fresh and had great flavor. I had veggie bowl and pumpkin soup. I will definitely go back. It was about 40 m from my home but well worth the drive. The waitress was very personable and nice.

Absolutely love this place. Have been going once a week at least since it opened (replacing The Twisted Fork in same location). Quality is wonderful, food is as organic as you can get around here. People running the place are a very friendly, caring couple, but neither are named "Joe". Deborah in the kitchen is the queen of soups. Sometime they have raw foods too. But also things like grass fed beef burgers, so it is definitely not just for veggie-heads. Worth the drive to Leipers Fork for sure.

    (5)
  • Brad M.

At first I was bummed that the Twisted Fork was gone...but wow...Joe Natural's does a great job replacing it. An all organic spot that even uses bio-degradable utensils. Only a few options so I went with the grass fed burger from Bear Creek Beef. Even the rolls are made fresh in their kitchen. It was a really great burger. Not greasy and heavy. I also had a slice of carrot cake that tasted so light compared to others. Perhaps the best I've ever had. Hopefully this place stays in business though I think they would do better to move to downtown Franklin. Nashville has Burger Up and Gabby's...downtown Franklin needs Joe Natural's.

  • Brian K.

Joe Natural's was a fantastic find! I was on the prowl for a good burger in the Nashville area and this restaurant came to the rescue. Joe Natural's serves grass fed organic burgers which taste unlike many burgers you have eaten. The burger was also served with a homemade bun. But the burger wasn't the highlight, the meal also included some snowpeas with sesame seeds and oil as well as a potato salad, without the disgusting mayonnaise. The owner has a great attitude about his business and apparently runs it with his wife. The food is locally grown. The restaurant also offers some other local items, such as honeycomb, peanut butter, and bath products. The only bad part was the burger was slightly overcooked, but the fresh taste and sides more than made up for it.

In the heart of picturesque Leiper's Fork, this place is a gem. I love getting quinoa in a southern town. Completely vegetarian friendly. Fresh, hearty bread with local, seasonal ingredients made my sandwich well worth the wait. Our food was delayed as they had a problem with the igniter on the stove. My friend ordered a turkey burger and to rectify the wait for her food, offered her a complementary soup as the rest of the table's food was done. That being said, her burger came out quickly and was quite large. It was lovely outside and dessert was divine. I tasted the strawberry cake, made with real strawberries, as well as the chocolate. I am definitely eating here when I visit again.

An excellent meal in a quaint old house in quirky Leiper's Fork. Leiper's is known for being a collision of local and tourist, eclectic and rooted, wealthy and not. It's the kind of place that locals and tourists alike gather around the firepit in front of high end art galeries. Neighboring Puckett's was once the unassuming Bi-rite general store serving local farmers a limited selection of groceries and other necessities. Joe's occupies an old house, complete with front porch and creaky floors, and hodgepodge of local artwork and antiques for decor. Owner Paul and his staff are friendly and attentive, and treat guests as if this was their home. In addition to a mouth watering menu of organic sandwiches, burgers, and salads, the "living room" features provisions on sale from Paul's farm and other local purveyors with him Paul is friends. Joe's serves all organic product, farmed just a few miles up the road. At his farm, he's learned techniques for working the land that require no fossil fuels and is operated year round. The difference is apparent in the food. My "Maddox burger" was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly pink. Paul told me they use the whole steer in their grind, which results in an exceptionally delicious, lean mix. Topped with Joe's BBQ sauce and a grilled red onion, this is one of the best burger anywhere. You can eat a burger next door at the Country Boy (also a good stop) or Puckett's (watch for the Grey Line bus to dump out 50 blue hairs). Or step next door for a real treat at Joe's.

California would be jealous to know a place like this exists. I recently left my home state of Cali and thanks to Tennessee being an amazing place and finding Joe Natural's I don't miss a thing. In fact, I would go so far as to say this place is BETTER than any farm to table establishment I have ever been too. It's truly family run and after several visits I feel as if I know Paul and his crew personally. The burgers are amazing, but what really stands out are the dishes that can't rely on easy ingredients. His Quinoa mixes and other veggie specials really make this place one of kind. Puckett's will always have a warm place in my heart, but when I need my heart to keep pumping I go to Joe! Don't forget to stop in the shop up front and bring home some goodness for later!

I stopped in for a leisurely lunch with a coworker and we both enjoyed our meals. I tried the Joe Schmo burger with heirloom carrot salad. The burger was very good...fresh baked toasted bun...but the star was the carrot salad! Straight from the farm and wonderfully dressed in a citrus vinaigrette. The service was great also - the waiter was very knowledgeable about how food on the menu was prepared. I also purchased some farm-fresh eggs. It was definitely worth the trip and I will go back...often!

Always great, fresh, farm to table food. They have recently redone their menu and interior and everything was delicious. We had the hummus to start, which my husband and I both said it's the best we've ever had. We then each got a salad... The tomato and goat cheese and the Mediterranean salads are both amazing. Looking forward to making many trips to joe naturals now that the weather is getting nicer and can't wait to try their new dinner service too!

If you are in a hurry, this is not the place for you! This is a sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment kind of place! We decided to visit Leipers Fork on a Sunday afternoon and try one of the local places. Wonderful farm to table concept. We started with the "cow balls" which were fresh farm cheese fried to a golden brown. Great taste and lovely texture. Tried a cup of the chicken rice soup: good flavor! I had the burger/grilled cheese sandwich. It was not quite what I expected, but it was good. I really enjoyed the slaw that accompanied the burger. My husband had the pork belly special, it must have been good since he ate it all! For dessert we split a slice of chocolate maple cake, yum! If we are in the area will definitely eat here again!

  • Madeline L.

Joe's is absolutely amazing. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Many restaurants claim to be farm to table, but this place is the real deal. Veggies, meat, and even goat cheese grown and made a few miles down the road at their farm makes for dishes exploding with flavor and personality. Everything is made to order; even down the mayonnaise, so keep in mind that you probably won't be rushing in and out... which is an absolute welcome change of pace for most dining options these days. The plating is beautiful and thoughtful and you can tell that the owners take so much pride in what they do and put lots of love into their work. The veggie bowl is to die for- filling, uber-nutritious, and chalk full of flavor. The Roasty Beef Sandwich with meat straight from the farm, Pistachio Pesto Chicken Panini, Chicken Salad and Mediterranean Salad were all equally as amazing. I really don't think you can go wrong. I only wish they had a shop in Nashville so that I could visit more often.

Great things come to those who wait. At Joe's that is the case . Everything is fresh and delicious. My wife and I drive 4 hours to enjoy the atmosphere and Great food. The staff is awesome, down to earth; and do everything in their power, to make your experience terrific. Yes it takes longer than your average restaurant; but it's well worth it.

Really outstanding. A Leipers Fork gem. You can really taste the farm freshness of the ingredients. The preparation was simple but very well done. Seasoning was perfect. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. We will most definitely be back. Note that they are open for dinner now. Yelp hasn't been updated.

Visited Joe Natural's in Leipers Fork last week with clients and had one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. Everything is farm fresh and the breads and goat cheese are made fresh daily. I enjoyed my lunch so much, I circled back a few days later and took advantage of their new breakfast offering and again was blown away. You really need to try this place!

The best place to eat in all if Tennessee. This place is charming and every detail is thought out. The food is incredible. It is plated perfectly and everything we had tastes fresh and delicious from joes water infused with lemon and cucumber to the tres leche cake. I had the three scoops which I highly recommend but you really can't go wrong.

So sad to post this as Joe's Naturals is OFFICIALLY AND PERMANENTLY CLOSED. They haven't updated their site or yelp page yet so don't waste the time on a drive out like we just did :(

Wow! My gluten free friends, get here quick! Talk about fresh, great tasting food and a delightfully charming atmosphere. The waitstaff was so helpful and friendly. I could have stayed for hours! Joe's water and gluten free chocolate chip cookies are to die for! I love the fresh, quality ingredients. Will ALWAYS stop here!

Great little find in really cute area. The family owns a farm down the road so lot of the veggies come from there. If not they get there items from a 30 mile radius . Local beef used for burgers. Great infused water on a 104 degree day. Quinoa veggie bowl also very good.

Happy cows make great burgers Welcoming smiles and food that has a home cooked taste all housed in signature Leapers Fork nostalgic style. While the step back in time look is maintained it is livened up with some very nice art that manages to give a taste of the modern while not breaking the trance of the old. Yadda yadda it's the food you want reviewed so here we go... The burgers are made from cows that basked in the sunlight of the owners farm, and I have to say that that happy life results in a great tasting burger. Mine was complemented with fresh goat cheese and a farm fresh tomato on a roll also made on site. Delicious. The roasted potatoes and black olives side was great with a dash of organic ketchup. It was all washed down with a refreshing black currant tea. Drop by for a visit you will enjoy the house, the wonderful food and the staff.
