After not finding this place on Yelp, I drove to see if they were out of business... Happily, they are IN business!! I don't suggest eating in. Decor is slightly better than a stereotypical Chinese To Go restaurant. It's clean and chairs are decent (see pics i uploaded) but not much more. They DO deliver to the area though! My experience here is they provide fresh food in generous quantities. Their is a sign on the window that says "New York style Chinese restaurant " this is not Wild Ginger or even Koi for that matter. But for the market they serve- they are the best in the area! Fresh food, generous portions, friendly service and reasonable prices! They are located in the strip mall behind Franklin Chop House down from the newer Tae Bow Studio on Hwy 96. Please thumb up/comment if you liked this review and I would count it a privilege if you chose to follow me as I review places I travel and visit. Thank you for taking the time to read! ~mp

We ordered chicken curry it was fabulous ! They made it just the way I wanted. Hot and lots of everything chicken was perfect big pieces and tender very sweet staff too as far as dumpling my husbands were perfect I'm allergic to the dough but my husband said they were delicious and they defiantly were not green ?!! They were very fresh . The sauce had just the write amount of curry and heat perfect ! And the thickness was just right too ! My husband also had Generals Tso he said it wS fresh and delicious. So glad we tried them after new owners now it is clean and food is fresh .

Cashew Chicken was ok, fried rice was a little dry but flavorful, egg roll was ok - very thick and heavy, fortune cookies are gross, skip them. The place is mostly clean but, water from the water tower looks terrible in the jug (it's just fine, just the color of the wall combining with the jug color makes it look like dirty dish water), the dish bin they had out was too small for all the dishes from our group and the garbage can flap was gross to touch, so everyone used their dirty napkins which made it more gross, they need a better solution for food disposal. The lunch price was great and quantity was great too, but at least my dish wasn't anything special, better than a typical mall chain place, but nothing I'd go out of my way to get again.

This is by far the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been too. I ordered dumplings and vegetable fried rice and it was just disgusting. The dumplings were BLUE and they tasted like soft cardboard. The rice was tasteless and had no flavor what so ever. The service was average and it smelled horrible in the restaurant.

The food is so good! It's my favorite place to order from. They always deliver very quickly. The prices are fair. The only thing I didn't like was that their menu can be confusing. I ordered mushrooms as a side and I got mushrooms with a bunch of mixed vegetables.

I've have only order by take out, haven't actually eaten there. Delivery is fairly quick. Food prices are very reasonable. I always get the General Chow chicken and egg fried rice. It's awesome. My GF loves the cashew chicken. And we always get the crab rangoon, it's very good

I have ordered food from here no les than 25 times...tonight will be the last. Phone receptionist speaks virtually no English. Ordered Hot and could not taste ANY heat whatsoever. Specifically asked for special hot mustard and received one package of the mellow prep packed mustard sauce. Ordered spring rolls and they were literally the size of a small hot dog. Hate to say it, but the worst Chinese food I have ever experienced

Having had the opportunity to eat Chinese food in other large cities, it has always been a disappointment to eat it here in Nashville. It always tastes the same, and I think it speaks volumes that PF Chang's always jumps up to the top of the list when searching for Chinese food. China Gourmet was actually discovered by my wife on a whim, and it has become my favorite Chinese in Nashville. So far all of the food from there has been of great quality. The crab rangoon are actually light and crispy and the traditional chicken dishes use all-white meat. I haven't tried all of the dishes on the menu, but I've been very surprised and happy with the quality of food available here.

China Gourmet used to be my favorite Chinese takeout place in Franklin and I used to go there at least once a week. However, a year or so ago it seems that they changed owners and the quality and portions of the food has gone down. Now don't get me wrong, it's still a decent takeout place, but not the amazing takeout joint that it used to be. One perk is that they do deliver to the Franklin area if you can't get out.

Tried this place a couple weeks ago and I have gone back many times. Me and my girlfriend love Chinese food so we tried a lot of different ones and this is the best one. We keep coming back. The only reason it gets four stars is because the delivery is a little slow

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
