Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

It has the appearance of being a nice Italian restaurant, but the food is mediocre. I had the Italian meat lovers pizza, my wife had the angel hair pasta with marinara sauce and grilled chicken. We sent her food back because the chicken was AWEFUL. The bread that we were given was very stale and tasteless. My pizza tasted just fine, but was not amazing. Service was quite pleasant and attentive. All in all I gave it two stars because it was okay, but I would not frequent.

So we had lunch here and it wasn't so great. My sister's salad looked like it was missing half of the salad. My Tuscan Sun salad with poppy seed dressing wasn't too bad but a bunch of the lettuce was old and wilted. Oh, and forget about the calamari. I don't think I've ever had anything so tasteless and for $8.99! It's pretty disappointing because the place looks recently done and has great ambience. But you can't eat ambience, unfortunately. The staff was nice enough but somebody needs to light a fire in the kitchen, literally.

Lupo's Italian Restaurante has a lot to offer. The food, atmosphere and service are excellent. The menu is varied, with tempting choices like spinach and artichoke dip (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), fresh caesar salad, wood-fired pizzas, veal ravioli (which are delicious), Chicken Carbonara, and homemade cheesecake. The atmosphere is elegant and inviting--good for romantic evenings and large celebrations. They also have a wonderful wine list and weekly specials such as wine-down wednesdays.

A very good Italian restaurant. Great steaks, great pasta, and wonderful dessert. Some of Lupo's best includes lasagna, smothered steak, and the roasted chicken Italian fettuccine. The tiramisu is amazing - they make it from scratch. The food is just fresh - you can really taste the effort that goes into the dishes. I can unequivocally recommend Lupo's. I'd take it over Abe's any day.

This place is way overpriced for what they offer. The food is average. My table ordered two different pastas, both acceptable, but nothing special. The Eggplant Rollatini was yummy, but over-salted and not worth $14.The high point of the experience was the Tiramisu. I'd go back just to get that again, but I'll get dinner somewhere else.

Restraunt was hot. Food was overpriced for what it was. Also, service wasn't anything to write home about.

Arguably the best Italian food between Memphis and St. Louis. Outstanding steaks.

One of the nicer restaurants in Dyersburg. Louisiana Linguini was their best dish but they removed it from the menu several years ago. The only reason I frequented it so much in the past was becauae of that dish! Bring back Louisiana Linguini!!

I have been eating at Lupo's since the doors opened and the food is just average. Some of my favorites are the lasagna, the wedge salad, the pizzas and the tuna. Their pasta is good but there are no symphony of flavors bursting in my mouth screaming for more going on with my taste buds. The menu seldom changes and there are no farm to table options offered, so with that said if you remotely want a healthy dinner you are very limited, a salad or the tuna are a couple of your only options. So plan on splurging on calories when you go. Wednesday night they have a pick your pasta and topping for about $10.00, I tried this last week and it was pretty good. You pick your pasta, sauce, topping, veggie, now you can only pick one each anything extra cost more. It's a good price, so bring the whole family. I do not recommend the steaks, I have tried them many times and I have never had one that was prepared right, so stick with the pasta and pizza! The restaurant is loud and the service is slow so I would recommend eating in the bar or outside. They have a nice dining area outside and the service is much better. Amber and Ashton are the main bartenders and they are GREAT! They are attentive, friendly, pour a nice drink and are your best bet for good service! The bar and outdoor area is not as loud as the restaurant area it's much better in my opinion. I give Lupos 3 stars because it lacks originality with it's menu, but you will always get a good pizza, dish of lasagna or salad. The bartenders, Amber and Ashton I am crazy about! The atmosphere is nice and we are darn lucky to have Lupo's in Dyersburg, so go!

Ate here for dinner on a recent work trip into the area and enjoyed the experience. Liked the look and feel of the place. Really good beer selection for the area ( i.e. Rogue Dead Guy ). Sprang for the manicotti and it was truly delicious. Caesar salad was ok but could use a little something. Rum cake was moist but contained no discernible flavor of rum. Good wine list. Service was friendly but slow. All told, seems like the best of a limited group of area restaurants and I look forward to returning on the next trip to the area. 3.5 if I could.

I had Lupos for lunch. Meat Lovers pizza was the best I've ever had!!! The staff, the restaurant and food were top notch!!! If you are in the area I HIGHLY recommend the place!!! Also, Dr. B and his wife (owners) are super sweet!!!! Go support them and love every minute of it!!!

The food was fabulous. There were 16 people in our party. We ordered appetizers, bruschetta with goat cheese and marinara, calamari and wood fried pizza! The bruschetta was wonderful. I ordered the Tilapia and it was great, full of flavor, however risotto seemed a bit undercooked. For desert the praline cheesecake was probably the best I've had. Service was great, for as many people as we had the food came timely and drinks were readily available.

Food is hit and miss. Best service is in the bar. Food is a little over priced for this area. Place seems to have lots of potential but misses the mark. Overall not bad.

Lupo's used to be a great restaurant, but things have changed. I took my Mom there for her birthday dinner, which turned out to be a disappointment from beginning to end. When we first walked in, there was no hostess, so we waited several minutes to be greeted. When we were eventually seated, the service was a bit slow. (I should mention we were there on a Wednesday night and it wasn't that crowded.) I ordered the parmesan crusted tilapia, which cost $20 and had absolutely no taste. In order to give my tastebuds the illusion they were eating actual food, I had to dump a ton of salt and pepper on the dish. The side dishes were just as bland and needed a heavy hand of salt and pepper as well. I don't know about you, but I don't like paying $20 for salt and pepper. My mom ordered a chicken dish which was tasteless, too. I watched her trying to saw through the chicken with a serrated steak knife and knew I didn't want to try it. Even the restrooms were in dire need of attention as there was toilet paper all over the floor and the garbage was overflowing. Overall it was not a good experience, but I gave it 2 stars because the ambiance is decent.
